4 Hour Shared Deep Sea Fishing In Key West

We had a great experience with this captain and crew. We were on a boat in the Keys on a beautiful day - start with that! Other than a nice grouper and a bunch of smaller fish, they really weren’t biting for us. But the captain and his crew stayed out an additional two hours trying really hard to get us some nice catches. They really went above and beyond.

This was a last minute booking for us! It was great time and we caught some good Mahi Mahi! Do note that there is a separate gas fee PER PERSON that is collected in cash before you leave the marina!

Capt AJ and First Mate DJ were awesome! Not great fishing this time of year but they were patient and put us on some Mahi!!! Will definitely use them again!

Went out pretty far on a beautiful sunny September 11th afternoon. I finally caught a nice Mahi Mahi towards the end of the third hour. It was the only fish 🐠 caught by anyone. I expected that everyone on board would catch something. Oh well…. SR Albuquerque, NM

DJ and Scott are the best!!! We had the best day ever. It was a bad afternoon for fishing but we stayed out and caught a huge MAHI MAHI. Was awesome. Scott filleted it for us and Dj recommended a restaurant to take it to to be cooked for us. It was best dinner ever!!! I cannot speak more highly of them! Would HIGHLY recomnend!

Amazing all around! Super nice crew, very well worth the money I highly recommend this charter for anyone family oriented/kids or newbies especially! Anyone would be very happy to be with them.

I can not rate the experience for this charter being we didn't go out with them as planned, and I wish I could have so that I could give a proper rating. they called cancelled the trip for us 3 hours before departure leaving us having to find a last minute charter (which we didn't might I add) giving us a inexcusable reason why they could not go out. I would stay clear of this charter when looking for a day out on the water as they are not reliable.

Captain Hand and first mate Caleb were awesome! Caleb answered any questions we had and helped to set the lures and coach us through reeling in our catches! This was a first for my family and we truly enjoyed ourselves! Good size boat with A/C and fridge and ice chest to keep snacks cold. My group caught barracudas, bonito and Amber jack and the boat that went before us caught barracudas and mahi mahi there were also several huge tarpon hanging around the docks where they clean the fish! We had a great time!

Excellent time on the water. Caleb and Sam were quick when the Mahi were biting. AC on board was nice. Big recommend.

My husband and brother-in-law have both been offshore fishing for more than 20 years, and they both agreed this was, by far, the worst charter they’ve ever been on. We understand that fishing is never guaranteed. Sometimes the fish simply aren’t biting. That wasn’t the issue. The problem was the crew’s complete lack of effort and engagement. During the entire four-hour trip, neither my husband nor my brother-in-law ever touched a rod, baited a hook, or had an opportunity to fish. Out of the entire boat, only one customer even got to catch a fish—a single barracuda. Meanwhile, nearly every other charter in the marina was coming back with photos of multiple catches and happy customers. Even if the fishing was slow that day, there’s no excuse for clients paying hundreds of dollars only to spend four hours watching instead of fishing. The most disappointing part is that after reading other reviews, I realized this doesn’t appear to be an isolated incident. Multiple reviewers describe the same lack of effort and poor customer experience. I wish I had read those reviews before booking because I would have chosen one of the many other charters in Key West with crews that work hard to make sure everyone has a chance to fish. And based on the owner’s responses to other negative reviews, I fully expect they’ll blame the weather, the fish, or even the customers instead of accepting responsibility. Unfortunately, after our experience, that wouldn’t surprise me at all.

The crew and the owner were great on working with us due to the fact that we got rained out on our first booking. Unfortunately the fish were not biting much which made for a little bit of a boring trip. Also, it would have been nice if they had some music playing in the cabin as well as toilet paper and running water to wash your hands in the head. I know you can’t flush the paper but a woman needs paper.

We had a great trip and caught a lot of fish. We stayed out for about 6 hours which was 2 hours longer than we paid for. The captain and mate were great. Daniel was very fun and kept the boat lively.

This was a deep water trolling trip. We caught a lot of fish due to the crews knowledge and dedication. There were very vigilant and kept us on the move to schools of fish. Everyone caught at least three fish plus. Great group of fishermen.

Not everyone will be able to fish. Only 1 person of my party of 3 actually held a rod. I paid for 3 people to fish. Boat is not in great condition and something happened to motor on way back and it took over 2 hours to get back to land. AC was either not working or it was hot in cabin because doors were left open. The crew was great and knowledgeable; however to spend that much money, not be able to fish, and take hours to putt putt back to land was a bit much. Only 2 barracuda were caught. We expected mahi mahi, but was told that front came through day before and wasn’t great condition for fishing. So why not reschedule? Will not be doing this again.

We had a great time. Captain Craig was really good and Roscoe did a great job keeping us hooked and pulling in fish. Overall a great experience.

The mate was new and the Captain was 26 years old. We were told we were going for Mahi Mahi. We did not catch anything abs I understand that happens. The mate and captain were unapologetic and only said - “ The Mahi Mahi are still migrating and are there are just not a lot around yet. “ Why did we for them. I have been fishing all my life and never had such a bad experience. Maybe offer a discount on your next trip. I sent this same review to the company and received no response. They say that they have been in business since 1965 and the boat looked it inside and out.

Captain Nels & Mate Larry made the trip exceptional! They both made sure everyone on the trip had a great experience. Have never gone deep sea fishing before, and they were very helpful - caught a sailfish! They had GREAT communication from booking until the trip, and even after!

We had a blast with Kaleb and Sam. The trip was well executed by the crew and they are pros when it comes to fining the best spots to fish. Their knowledge of the sport is beyond expert! They are friendly and made everything more fun! This trip is highly recommended!

Thought we all would be able to fish the same time but had to share the rods. Was only able to fish for 1/2 hr. But still expected to pay an extra $30 each for gas and they want 20% commission. The fish in the pictures are not what we caught. I know catching fish is a gamble but I thought they would try harder to make it happen.

Was a great time. Our shared cancelled and we moved oyr time earlier to still go. It was a great day!

The purpose of our trip to Key West was to go fishing. After numerous excuses sent by text from the owner our morning charter was canceled. Only time offered was 2:00. We texted the owner 1:00 to confirm that we were still going out. Owner said it was delayed until 2:30. At this point we canceled. The more I looked into social media reviews other than TripAdvisor and Google I started to see more experiences like ours. Beware and choose another company.

Fishing in Key West was a 'Bucket List' activity for me; This past Father’s Day, my bride, Amy, surprised me with a trip to Key West, which included booking us on a half-day, shared fishing charter. There were a lot of “firsts” experienced on this trip. It was my bride’s first time deep sea fishing, ever! It was my first time deep sea fishing in Key West. And there was a young fella, 8 years old, experiencing his very first time deep sea fishing, and a young man, fresh out of high school, getting his first deep sea fishing experience with his grandfather! Every one of us caught fish! So we put fish in the cooler (Mahi) and made memories for a lifetime! As an experienced fisherman, my greatest memory will be being a part of so many "firsts". My heart was full. Captain Hans and First Mate Adam were a fantastic crew! The boat was clean and comfortable and I look forward to booking with them, again, in the future.

We were very disappointed in this tour our three guys basically went on a “boat ride.” It wasn’t explained ed in the listing that this is a trolling trip and that you may not even touch a fishing rod. If you want to fish with a rod and reel, don’t book this trip.

The fishing was slow, but the captain and crew went the extra mile to make sure we all caught some yellowtail snapper. Unfortunately the head(toilet) was malfunctioning and sprayed urine out of the seal below the pump handle, making its use an adventure. Back at the dock, Captain Craig was rude to a young black woman who stopped to watch him filleting and feeding an egret. Not surprising in these times, but not appreciated or acceptable, none the less.

Very personable captain (Paul) and First Mate (Chase) made it a really enjoyable trip. They asked as we departed what species we wanted to catch. My wife caught the first fish as they made fishing easy.

From start to finish, excellent. Even though we booked the shared trip, it turned out to be only the four of us, so that was a nice surprise. All parties involved were given individualized attention and were helped to their level of need. Our captain made it a very special experience for both my 12 year old and 22 year old boys. My husband and I had a fantastic time as well. After the trip our captain fileted our catch for us to bring home. Delicious!! Great captain and crew, wonderful memories.

Had a great time on the ocean. We didn’t catch anything big but I still had a great time. It was great to get out in the water.
