4 Hour Private Ecotour And Snorkeling Boat Tour

Absolutely fantastic. Got to Alligator Lighthouse which is unreal. Sharks, moray eels , barracudas , stingrays etc. Went on to Cheeca Rocks which was beautiful but disappointed to not see the turtles. The sandbar was phenomenal. The eco tour was nice but we had done The trip around the Everglades . And we didn’t see any animals . Our lady Christie was incredible. Would have been better if received complimentary water and snacks.

This was our second eco tour with KeyZ charters. The first in 2021 was amazing! We snorkeled at Alligator Reef. Our captain was knowledgeable and as excited about the animals as we were. So, when we decided to come back to the Keys and bring our kids, we booked another tour. Kristi, our Captain this time was no less knowledgeable or enthusiastic about the wildlife and education in a way our teens enjoyed. This time we snorkeled off Cheeca rocks, also amazing! In fact, we all had so much fun even the teen boy rated it as much fun as driving jet skis (that’s a tall order). 10000% recommend KeyZ! Five years apart and the experience was top notch worth every penny both times!

The tour was a lot of fun and it was nice to have some flexibility in the itinerary since a couple of our group were prone to seasickness, so we asked the captain to try to take us to calmer areas if possible. We were very excited to see some manatees on the tour and also did some snorkeling around the mangroves, since the winds were stronger that day and the ocean side locations were more rough. Our captain shared a lot of interesting local information about the Keys

A pleasant experience, Cristi was an excellent captain and guide, she knows a lot about the Keys' history and nature. she took her time around the area, no rush, attending every detail. Definitely recommended.

My family and I snorkeled in Hawaii , Mexico , and Cayman Islands , but our MOST MEMORABLE trip happened in Islamorada with Captain Kristen . Most group tours ( up to 100 people) are extremely fun since you'll get to meet people from all over , you'll feel safe under the watchful eyes of an experienced staff , and rum / pog punch is served at the end of the trip to ONE reef , but KeyZ's PRIVATE tour takes it to another level ! Since it was a tour for only four people , we were able to get individual attention and the freedom to maneuver to explore the mangroves , TWO coral reefs , and a popular sandbar ( known to the locals ) , while learning about the wildlife and everything that makes the Keys so special . It wasn't easy to work this trip into our budget , but it was well worth it when we noticed our kids had spent more time recapping about the snorkel trip instead of being on their cell phones . This trip is definitely a core memory for our family.

This is our second time booking with KeyZ Charters and we absolutely loved it! Captain Kristi has great personality and knowledge! Will definitely book with them again on our next Keys trip.

We did the combo Eco Tour and two hour snorkeling tour. Do not skip the Eco tour! going back into the mangroves was beautiful and we saw crocodiles. Snorkeling was incredible. The small boat was the way to go worth every dollar. So peaceful and you could really spend time focusing on the sea life instead of bumping around 30 other humans. Captain Christie was fun and educational would definitely recommend her boat. Loved having the boat leave and return to Robbies it really was an entire experience. Feed the Tarpons it is impressive.

Kristi was an amazing guide. We were able to see Cupcake the crocodile, manatees, dolphins and so much more. She was knowledgeable about the area, wildlife and all the great places to go.

We had an amazing time with Christy for our Captain on Keyz Charters. We also learned about the ECO system. The snorkeling was amazing as well. When we go back to the Keys, we will be booking this again!

Kristi was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about everything from the weather systems to the aquatic life. We got to snorkel and go through the mangroves We saw manatees, nursing sharks, a turtle, barracuda, and so many tropic fish at alligator reef. It was completely incredible. My husband and I also loved the privacy of the private tour, highly recommend.

This was the best boat tour! We had 4 adults and 2 kids, the boat had enough space for us and all our belongings. We loved our captain, Kristy! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful! My brother-in-law and sister in law had their first experience snorkeling and Kristy shared with them what to do. There were snorkels, fins, and noodles on the boat. Kristy had one blanket, which was needed and highly appreciated 👍🏻 Kristy caught a jellyfish and let the kids touch it and shared knowledge with us about the sea life and the mangroves. She took us to looks for a baby alligator she had spotted earlier in the day as well! The snorkeling portion of the tour was full of surprises, we spotted two very large groupers and some barracudas along with large schools of fish at the lighthouse! must do!

Captain Christi showed us some beautiful places and took very good care of us. The boat is clean and has a shade. Captain was quick to spot various animals and has a lot of knowledge about the Keys. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Henry was a great guide and the whole family had a great experience. If you are interested in the history and ecology of the keys and want a fun guided snorkeling trip, it’s hard to get better than this!

Kristi was absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgeable and engaging! All six of us had a phenomenal time. Snorkeling at the lighthouse was definitely a highlight of our trip.

Our captain, Christy was amazing! We started our private trip by venturing out to Alligator Reef. The trip out to the reef was beautiful and Christy made sure to point out various points of interest along the way. Once there, the waters were a bit rough, and Christy took time to ensure the safety and provide key points to make it an enjoyable trip for all. Due to the rough waters, a few members of the party did not feel well and Christy could not have been more empathetic and calming. Once back on the boat, we are headed to the sandbar. Along the way, Christy checked in and made sure we were all feeling better. Throughout the private tour, Christy made sure to provide the best experience for our family! She was knowledgeable, empathetic, and provided the best private boat tour we’ve ever had. She was amazing, and we would 100% recommend the private boat tour again and again!

We treated ourselves to the private tour as our last activity before heading back home to San Diego. Kristi was a phenomenal captain and knew where to go to see all the best sights! Highlight of our experience was definitely going out to the Alligator Lighthouse and snorkeling. It was like being in an aquarium! The entire experience was a "10" for us! The marina was also a bonus as there is a great restaurant and bar as well as a few shops. Loved it!

We wish we could give more than 5 stars! My wife and I booked the snorkeling/eco tour for our family of 5. We had Kristi as our captain and we couldn’t have had anyone better. She is extremely knowledgeable of the area and shared a lot of great stories. Kristi was also very patient as our 6 year old didn’t like snorkeling so much and wanted to hang out on the boat. At the end of the trip, my wife had a slight stumble getting off the boat and Kristi was there with the first-aid kit in nanoseconds . This excursion was the highlight of our weeklong vacation to Southern Florida and we are already talking about doing it again for our next trip.

Our family had so much fun on this trip! Definitely worth the extra money to have your own tour. Everyone was super comfortable and we saw dolphins, manatees, crocodiles and more. It was a high point of our trip. Having local knowledge to locate wildlife was key! Highly recommend the 4 hour tour!

Kristi was an incredible tour guide. She tailored the experience to our preferences. We snorkeled in 2 different places, got to see dolphins and turtles, we also went around the mangroves. It was great to hear about the history of the sites and the importance of conservation.

Fantastic snorkel trip to Alligator Lighthouse where I saw a ton of fish! Lots of Barracuda, Grunt, Parrot fish and giant schools of Wrasse. My wife and Dog enjoyed their time and Captain Meg was wonderful!! I highly recommend trying to book Captain Meg for any of your trips, she is extremely knowledgeable and skilled!!

Amazing experience. KeyZ was the best snorkeling experience we had during our time in the Keys this summer. Trip out to Alligator Reef was fantastic. Clear water, way more fish than anticipated - huge schools of various sizes. Great colors and variety of fish, coral, and even filmed an eel, shark, and ray while out there. Captain was knowledgeable, great host, safe, experienced, and made everyone in our group feel comfortable. If we ever get the chance to snorkel again in the Keys, we're going with KeyZ!

Our captain Henry was great! Very knowledgeable about the area and its history and wildlife. We enjoyed having the boat to ourselves. Saw a ton of fish snorkeling by the light house. We enjoyed cruising around and seeing the sights too!

We had an AWESOME experience with Capt. Meg with Keyz Charters. We went snorkeling and to Indian Key to explore that island. Capt. Meg was knowledgeable and was great with our young one with us. Our Captain, Henry was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and extremely professional. After asking us how we'd like to spend the day he took us to two unique and spectacular snorkeling spots. He timed it perfectly to avoid the crowds and did an excellent job of combining education with fun and relaxation. After the snorkeling we went to a bird roosting island and saw several species up close. Can't say enough about the tour, would highly recommend and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I loved having a private boat captain (Captain Jenna), who shared a lot about the area, was very laid back, and fun. The boat was super clean, had everything you need (cooler, noodles, snorkeling gear). One of my favorite experiences in the Keys!

Capt. Sam was the best!! Having grown up in the Keys (not to mention she's a marine biologist too!) she is very knowledgeable of the area and we were able to see everything we wanted to see and have some fun at the sandbar too. Everyone had a great time and we would definitely book another charter!

Captain Jenna took us through the most secluded mangroves where we saw wonderful wildlife. She was knowledgeable of all the pockets to find manatees, dolphins and even sharks. The snorkeling tour was simple yet awe-inspiring and it was a perfect activity for all ages. Not the mention, the sunset was a beautiful way to end the night. This is a tour with something for everyone.

The captain of the boat made sure that we had a good time and worked with us when the weather was not cooperating. They have got to be one of the best boat trips I have had in the keys - Highly Recommend !!!!

We had a lovely day with Captain Jenna the day before our last day of vacation. We booked a 2 hour ecotour with KeyZ rentals at Robbies in Islamorada Florida keys. It was a perfect way to end our vacation! First Captain Jenna took us to a little bird sanctuary on the gulf side touring through the mangroves, it was so peaceful with no traffic and the birds just chirping away. We headed into what I would consider a lagoon where we were entertained by a group of manatees! Just fantastic, she has so much knowledge of the wildlife in the area, I would definitely recommend this reasonably priced private tour! Loved it, thank you Jenna!
