3 Hour Guided Single Kayak Adventure

We had such a great experience on our guided kayak tour! It ended up being just my daughter and me with our guide, Hunter, which made the whole experience feel so personal. Hunter was extremely knowledgeable about the springs, manatees, dolphins, and other wildlife, and you could genuinely tell how much he loves his job. He was so easy to talk to and made the entire tour fun and relaxed while teaching us so much along the way. He helped us get an amazing viewing experience with a mama and calf manatee, and then we had the coolest surprise when a dolphin swam right up to my daughter’s kayak! 🐬 It was such an incredible, up-close encounter and definitely something we’ll never forget. Between the beautiful springs, the wildlife, and having such a great guide, this was easily one of our favorite experiences of the trip. Hunter was fantastic, and we would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Crystal River!

Kayaking with friends from Buffalo NY. One was a first timer and guide was patient and very informative. Saw bald eagles, manatees, beautiful springs that can't be reached by land. Will book again with next group of visitors.

She seamlessly accommodated several levels of ability as she shared her love of this remarkable area.

Michelle was a wonderful guide! It was nice to have a local who was knowledgeable and obviously cared so much about the area. It was a fun outing with my kids - and easy enough for my 13 year old to navigate the kayak alone.

Michelle was a great guide! She know so much about the area and cares for the area and environment! She was very aware of all that was happening around us! We even saw 3 manatees and enjoyed kayaking around a lot of the area!

We had a great time kayaking with Michelle. She brought us to all the little coves with springs. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as the wildlife. We did see some manatees, but the most exciting part of the adventure was when we followed a dolphin and watched her jumping for mullet.. That was so awesome . We had a great time!

This was our third kayak tour in Florida and by far the best!! The water is crystal clear and we saw 6 manatees. Michele was a fantastic guide and so much fun. It is worth every penny!!

Michelle was fantastic. I took my 77 year old mother and 14 year old daughter, both in good health but with zero kayak experience. Michelle did a great job pacing the relatively novice group, made sure everyone was seeing many manatees (despite the late season), and kept us all safe. And she still kept up consistent dialogue and information about the area and local ecology. Towards the end of the tour my young daughter was tiring and unable to progress with the higher wind pushing against her kayak. Michelle kindly used her tow line to pull her across the windy section. Add to that she took fantastic photos and video and shared them all with us at no charge at the end of the tour. 10/10 I was worried as the cost is on the lower end of manatee tours but I cant imagine a better experience.

It guide Michelle was fantastic. She was knowledgeable about the area and about manatee. We were able to see a good many on our excursion. She even took photos and shared them with the group. Would definitely recommend this outfitter.

Amazing time. Michelle is the best!

I found the experience very strenuous. We paddled on Kings Bay in full sun for 2+ hours. I had expected an experience in passageways among mangroves and other protected waterways. That was not the situation at all. Our guide was excellent and assisted in keeping me up with the group with a free tow periodically. We saw one manatee, full body, and a couple of manager snouts. We also saw pelicans, ospreys, and a crocodile. It was too much paddling and headwinds didn't help. If you like constant paddling on an open bay for hours, go for it. I much prefer flowing water and some shade.

Bring sunscreen and sun glasses and be sure to watch manners video. The staff are extremely friendly.

A fantastic 3 hours with Michelle exploring the Crystal River and finding the best places to see the manatees in their natural environment. Michelle’s knowledge of the river and its natural springs was first class and even though there were not many manatees around this afternoon, Michelle knew the best places to find them and our patience paid off ! The river was great for Kayaks and although we were on the water for the best part of 3 hours it was not too strenuous. We would definitely recommend this activity for a full morning or afternoon of fun on the river.

Michelle was such a gem!! Me and my fiancé had such a blast touring with her. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and great conversation all around. We would 110% recommend this tour with her for any looking for the best chance of spotting wildlife and learning about the area! We really appreciated that she was able to snap some pics for us too 💕

I absolutely loved my experience on the kayak tour with the manatees. Our tour guide, Michelle R was absolutely amazing!! She took a ton of pictures of us and then air dropped them to us at the end. She is also very knowledgeable of manatees and other water life. I would recommend this experience to anyone and would recommend Michelle.

Michelle was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and patient while issuing clear commands and keeping our group well-guided. Her passion for the environment and respect for the safety of the manatees shone through in positive ways throughout our tour. During our 3-hour morning kayak trip, we saw dozens of manatees, also several different fish and bird species, including an osprey fairly close-up as it dove into the water right in front of us. It was a beautiful day and a great trip, surrounded by nature.

Today I had the pleasure of a three hour guided paddle trip with Michele from Paddletail Waterfront Adventures. After an orientation of what to expect, we set out on our adventure. Michele was friendly and very knowledgeable about the ecosystem of the area as we encountered many manatees, birds, and fish. This time will be a memory I will treasure for a lifetime. I highly recommend this tour!

We went as a small group of seven. Michelle was a very good guide made sure we were ok. A little windy so some of the water was a little choppy. We are in our 70s and it sure was a workout but we enjoyed it. Hardest thing for me was getting out of the kayak since I have an arthritic hip. Lots of manatees. Some hard to see under the water. Depended on how the son was shining. Had some right under our kayaks! Weather was in the high 60s but sunny so was perfect and you didn’t get hot when Kayaking.

A wonderful way to experience manatees in their natural habitat. Our guide, Michelle R., took great care of us plus gave us lots of information about the ecosystem and the manatees. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Went on kayak experience the coldest days in that area of FL this season. It was perfect as it brought the manatees in great numbers in order to stay warm in the Springs. Our guide, Michelle, was wonderful. She made sure we didn't miss a thing. We saw hundreds of manatees gliding around us and under us. One of the most thrilling nature trips I've ever tried.

Great experience and the best guide, Michelle! Can’t believe how low the cost was for a 3 hour tour. Will definitely do again, recommend not go on a weekend and so wish they’d patrol more, a lot of offenders not respecting the manatees and their environment.

Yes, seeing the manatees was wonderful, and the springs around Crystal River -- especially Three Sisters Springs -- are magical. But this review is to sing the praises of our guide Reg (say "Rej"). She's great! There are lots of options for tours and experiences, and honestly they all seem good. But Reg made this tour special. She was an expert at setting expectations: she got us excited and enjoying just seeing bubbles and flat spots in the water that indicated a manatee was down there. And her joy at just being out on the water in the morning was contagious. So when she made it possible for us the get off the kayaks and actually swim next to manatees in the springs, it felt like an unexpected treat. Reg knew how to pace the tour so it felt relaxed and spontaneous and full of wonder, and yet still hit every highlight and ended exactly 2 hour 58 minutes after we set out. Reg is a top-notch guide.

Fantastic 3 hour kayak tour around kings bay. Went to 4 different springs and manatees were everywhere because of the cold weather.

What an amazing day on the water! Michelle was very informative throughout the trip. We had a lot of manatee activity, kids got to see an alligator, and turtles.

The outing was a great mix of exercise and wildlife viewing. Jake, our guide was great, sharing so much fascinating information about the Manatees and other wildlife, and also tailoring where we went and how long we stayed to the group's interests. He also kept us laughing, and although it was on the cold side with lots of clouds, a good wind and some drizzle, he gave us a great outing. I would definitely recommend them!

My daughter and I went on this 3 hour guided kayaking tour of the Crystal River led by Michele. Michele knows a lot about the history of the area and the river. She took us to about 10 springs. She also pointed out different species of fish. My daughter and I enjoyed our time spent on the river with Michele. I would recommend Michele to anyone who would like to know more about the area.
