3 Hour Dolphin Snorkeling And Shell Key Adventure St. Pete Beach

Screwed up my reservation time, and still waiting for a refund. Sent it for 14:00 and got a call asking where I was early morning.

We were greeted at the dock and immediately offered refreshments. The crew (CPT Bob & son) were fantastic hosts. We saw dolphins, baby seahorses, crabs, a little octopus, and the kids really enjoyed finding shells. All together a great experience for the $$.

My fiance and I booked this for our 10 year anniversary with our 3 and 5 year old & it was the best time we’ve had in years! I could’ve stayed out there all day. The guys made the trip fun, enjoyable for our family and made sure we got to stop and see plenty of dolphins along the way. They provided snorkels, kids water guns, and bags for shells. They even got into a water gun fight with my kids & it truly made their day. We got to see sting rays, crabs, lots of fish, dolphins and collect a ton of shells including sand dollars! It was the best morning & we definitely recommend!

We had so much fun on this “Salty Pelican Boat” cruise. The crew is knowledgeable, friendly, and insure you are comfortable. We saw numerous dolphins .. too many to even count — pods, partners, solo dolphins. This tour allows you to walk on the protected Shell Island Beach and to swim if you choose, we opted not to snorkel which is totally fine. The water is clear and beautiful. Worth every cent!

this was an absolutely wonderful experience. The guides made the trip with their banter and their knowledge of the local culture and wildlife. We saw a whole Nursery pod of dolphins playing and jumping from the water. The shell preserve was wonderful, and we found all kinds of interesting shells. Parking can be a little tricky on a busy day.

I booked this experience for myself and my 11 yr old twin daughters and I was not disappointed! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to truly enjoy what they did. I let the captain know that my daughters had never seen dolphins in their natural habitat and he went above and beyond accommodating my request. He zig zagged, whistle called....you name it all in attempts to make my daughter's day. And guess what, it worked! They finally saw the dolphins jumping out of the water and playing in their natural habitat! This excursion was the highlight of our 4 day stay in St Pete's. If you're on the fence and trying to decide if you should book, don't hesitate, just book it now and I promise you won't be disappointed! Thanks again for a wonderful experience and when we are back in the area we will definitely book again.

The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. There were so many awesome shells and even came home with a conch. There were refreshments available on the boat ride and we saw dolphins! Great value and experience.

They spent extra time finding some dolphins for us. They weren't being very cooperative but the captain finally found around 5. Very knowledgeable captain. Had a great experience.

Captain Bob provided an awesome experience. He was very personable and friendly. The tour was exceptional with numerous dolphin sightings, snorkeling and shelling. Drinks and snacks were available. Captain Bob went out of his way to cater to our interests during the tour. He was also knowledgeable about the local area and provided many interesting facts about local birds, fish and wildlife. We would definitely recommend this tour and hope to enjoy one again on future trips.

Not much to snorkel to see but the day was fantastic and the captain was great. Loved hanging out and enjoying the ocean.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time. Shell key was a blast and we got to see dolphins in the bay on the boat ride back. The captain was fun to talk to and gave some history of the area. 10/10 recommend!

Shell Key was beautiful. There were tons of shells. The snorkeling was not as we expected. We really couldn’t see anything in the water. disappointing . The captain was friendly.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great equipment for snorkeling, a nice selection of canned beverages (beers, seltzers) available for purchase on board, and an overall amazing time shelling and spotting dolphins!

Aaron was awesome and the island was great for shell hunting and swimming! We are glad we booked this!

We went as a family of 5, and had a great time! The boat was clean, they offer complimentary water and have a bar with alcoholic beverage options for purchase. Our captains (Father and son) were great and led the tour with professionalism and a positive mood! They even had a sand bucket with sand toys for the kids to use at shell island. Great experience, and the dolphins definitely delivered on the way back! We enjoyed it very much.

Crew was very friendly and informative. We saw dolphins at the beach and on the way back. Crystal clear waters, sea turtle nests and abundance of wildlife. Had a great time, would definitely recommend.

I highly recommend this trip to anyone! Perfect for both kids and adults. The captains were warm and welcoming, like greeting an old friend. The boat was exceptionally clean and well taken care of with plenty of seating and even a bathroom. They provided free ice cold water but there was also a bar to purchase beverages if desired. The captain would narrate points of interest along the route to Shell Key but did not over do it. We had several dolphin sightings and the captain would head over to the area for a better view but was always respectful of the dolphin’s space. We also had a manatee swim by once we landed on the island. I loved that they provided snorkels and masks so we could get an up close view under the water. I even made friends with a fish! I highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to get out on the water, see some aquatic life, and relax on a remote island.

Great dolphin tour experience! The boat is spacious, wonderful for large families. Beautiful scenery and shell finding! It was awesome to see the dolphins. Bring towels and maybe an extra set of clothes if you plan to stay around the town and eat or browse! Very good experience for our family! Highly recommend!

This was a great experience. the crew was experienced and fun. The weather was not so great, but they made the best of it. A storm came in and we had to return early. The situation was handled well. When I return to the area, I will book with this crew again.

Although it was rainy they made the experience great by the time we got to the island there was no rain. Both Captains were amazing and we all made the best of the experience.

They took their time to find and let us watch dolphins. The guides were knowledgeable about different things along the way to the sand bar. All in all we would do it again.

This was a great experience with captain Bob and Aiden. They were super cool and funny as well as knowledgeable. I was intrigued by the fact dolphins can get high. 😂 This was one of the best experiences where I saw so many dolphins and the shells were amazing finds

Aaron and Avery were awesome. They were kind, attentive and gave the kiddos on board special care. Just the right amount of time, saw dolphins, went shelling and snorkeling got to spend a good amount of time on the island. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Very disappointed. I had 4 teenagers with me. The boat ride was quick. Saw a few dolphins but we left so quick we did not have much time to look for more. Docked on an island. Water was dirty. Could not scuba dive. Collected a few shells. Definitely not as expected. Children should be ok but definitely not for teenagers. Definitely not worth $60 a person.

We had such a fantastic time on our boat tour to Shell Key. Captain and Avery were wonderful; so friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the area. They made the whole experience feel relaxed, fun, and memorable. The sights along the way were beautiful, and the little island itself was absolutely lovely. We got to see so many dolphins up close, which was a magical bonus, and we picked up tons of cool shells while exploring the shoreline. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and great people. It was truly a highlight of our trip!

All together it was a beautiful adventure on the water. We saw a pod of dolphins, and found a lot of pretty shells. It was 0% hard work, which makes for a very relaxing experience.

They are wonderful and very friendly and informative! My fiancé and I and our kids really enjoyed it as well! I would definitely recommend and when we come back to Florida I’ll be booking with them again!

Had a blast !! Got to see dolphins, and lots of snorkeling!! The host was very friendly felt very welcoming and also gave us good tips on where to go eat after the cruise definitely didn’t disappoint! Would do this cruise again and recommend to our friends or family that plan on visiting the area!

Trip was what I expected. The guides were good. Very nice to my 10 year old son! We saw dolphins and got some neat my shells. There was a nasty storms right when we were supposed to take off so we had to wait 30ish minutes to take to excursion. They just extended the trip later which I appreciated! Thanks so much!!

It was a fun experience all three captains with us today were personable and entertaining. My youngest loved getting new shells and seeing manatees.

The boat ride was nice, the guys were great. The shells we found we could have found on any beach everyday, nothing special or very big. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately I did not get to go on this excursion because I was the only person who booked the time slot for that day. However, they were kind enough to call me ahead of time and offer me a full refund or an upgraded to the sunset cruise for the same night. I will leave a seperate review for the sunset cruise. Im a huge shelling and shark tooth person so im sad I didn't get to go. But when I experienced the sunset cruise it was still with the trip.
