Led by one of our friendly and dedicated tour guides, this kayak excursion is perfectly suited for both beginners and experienced paddlers alike. As you explore the serene mangrove creeks, tunnels, and salt ponds, you will have the chance to spot amazing local wildlife, including birds, sea stars, sea cucumbers, dolphins, rays, manatees, and sharks. For your comfort and convenience, restrooms are available on-site, and phone cases are available to keep your electronics safe; you should also remember to bring sunscreen, water, and anything else you don't mind getting wet. Please note that weight limits are set at 250 lbs for a single kayak and 580 lbs for a double kayak. Finally, if you cannot easily find your desired date, please contact us, as we are happy to accommodate your schedule by running extra sessions whenever possible.
Absolutely brilliant. Our guide was intuitive and helpful and set the the level for our group. The we whole experience was so much fun but also informative and educational. We felt comfortable asking questions and got so much information. Lovely pictures as memories of our time x

Living in key west and having my own kayak, I tend not to go to the expense of tour companies, but I am so glad I went with Kayak Kings. I learnt so much about the keys, the mangroves and key west - and Kira, our guide was an absolute legend!! Even if we hadn’t seen a family of manatees, a horseshoe crab or found a message in a bottle (none of which I’ve seen whilst kayaking on my own!), still would have been fascinating and a fun way to spend a couple of hours. We were just 4 people on the tour and it was well worth the $65 with a very personal touch from Kira who is funny and highly knowledgeable. Every day is a school day - you’ll be amazed at what you don’t know.

If you have a large group, we had 14 people try and get Key West Kira, she taught us all so much about horseshoe crabs, her favorite by the way, and was the best guide we have had down in the Keys!!

From the time we arrived the Kayak staff were brilliant, Kiera our guide was fantastic, fun, knowledgeable and heartwarming. The kayaks were comfortable with seats and back rests, nothing was a issue, Kiera was always helping if one of the group had a questions, nothing strenuous, just a paddle and a couple of trips within the Everglades mangroves, under all the canopies which was nice and cool from the heat. Would definitely go again. 5 ⭐️
We took the two hour trip with Kira and she was very knowledgeable and delightful. We were mildly disappointed by some of the airport noise but it very temporary. Would highly recommend especially if you get Kira as your guide.

We booked the two hour Mangrove tour with Kiera and she was amazing. She was fun, informative and patient with our limited kayaking skills. We had a great time! We love Kayak Kings and would book with them again over any other kayak tour.

Went with couples from Virgin Voyages. They met us at the dock, got us quickly to the site and off we went. Kiera was a fun guide, very knowledgeable, found some great wild life and made it very interactive. A great way to paddle around key west and explore the mangroves. Got to cross the meeting place of the Atlantic and the gulf. A great tour!
Kayak Kings offers a great 2 hr. Tour that was well priced. The kayaks were comfortable and our guide, Kira was bubbly and offered a wealth of knowledge about the Keys and the unique eco system as we paddled through mangroves and canals.
Great trip through the mangroves. Troy was a great guide, friendly and knowledgable. You could tell he cared that everyone on the trip was safe and having a good time. Did a great job of paddling us away from on incoming storm and made it back before any rain hit. Great spot to put the boats in the water right by a cute little restaurant and store. We enjoyed learning about the Margroves and their purpose in The Keys ecology. We saw sharks, fish, jelly fish, sponges, crabs and the prize, a Manatee swam right around us. Better price than the rest of the options and the boats and equpiptment were in good shape, provided free dry bag for us to use. Would definitely go again when back in the Keys, look no further than the KINGS!
Erica was a wonderful guide! She was informative, efficient, and yet still gave everyone plenty of time to learn and explore. It was blazing hot and the shade opportunities during our 2+ hour trip were awesome. We got to see some cool wildlife and she even took pictures of all the guests and experiences along the way. She shared all pics which was great. I would highly recommend her and use Kayak Kings. The price was very reasonable and the equipment was in great shape.
Booked this trip in the hopes of seeing some manatees. Our guide Troy was very laid back and we enjoyed our adventure. Though we didn’t see any manatees, we saw lots of other ocean creatures and would definitely recommend

My Family and I , along with my daughter’s friend, were in Key West for a short vacation. As usual , we overbooked our “ to do “ list . Then we heard about Kayak Kings and unanimously decided to try to book a tour . Troy and Kira , were amazingly able to fit us in , on a tour , at the perfect time window . Kira was our tour guide and immediately upon meeting her , my wife and I looked at each other and said “ she’s good “ ! We’re both in the people business - my wife’s in sales and marketing and I own a Home Improvement company . We had such a good time and learned so much ! Anyone can go for a paddle but the information Kira passed on to us was incredible. We saw and touched jelly fish , a Sea Slug , without harming them in any way ! We also saw sleeping groups of Nurse Sharks , only a few feet below us . Tree crabs , various bird species , sea life and learned all about the Mangroves, declining sea grass, and even saw a few famous legends households , on the islands around our tour . The tour is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, and we look forward to going on it again , on our next trip to Key West - thank you Kayak Kings , thank you Troy and Kira - you have created an awesome memory and we will forever be grateful!! Kira, our guide, was great! She found us several nurse sharks to see throughout the tour and provided lots of great info about the mangrove ecosystem. 2 hours was the perfect length!
This was fun, adventurous, and educational all rolled into one great trip. Our guide. Keira, kept the group informed and entertained as she lead us through mangroves tunnels. We saw a manatee, nurse shark, a juvenile barracuda, and more. Loved every moment of the trip.
The tour kayak was so much fun and time just flew by! It was so entertaining because there were more people and Troy was so insightful about things around. Pretty adventurous kayaking through the mangroves!! Hope you give it a try too!
Kira was a terrific guide who both educated and entertained. The mangroves — particularly the tunnels — are phenomenal but we missed seeing manatees. We did see plenty of harmless jelly fish and birds. A terrific three-generation family excursion.
We are seniors who took the trip with a young couple. Katie, our guide, was fantastic! She shared her helpful kayaking tips and knowledge of the mangrove habitat and its fascinating creatures. The trip was informative and fun, and Katie stopped at various points to capture some great photos of us along the way. At the end of the trip, we all left with pictures and even a video, a perfect way to remember the day. It was a lovely and memorable experience!
Great way to see the mangrove maze up close and personal. It's very dense, so most of the time you're really crawling through it, at times not even using the paddle but just pulling yourself along by the branches. You go very slow so there's plenty of opportunity to take it all in. We did stop twice, once in the tunnel and once in a clearing, and our guide gave us some interesting information about this amazing habitat. I would suggest that the operators schedule in a few more brief stops for photos, because it's really not possible to take them as you go since your hands are always busy paddling or pulling, and since the guide was always a ways ahead, I couldn't ask for a stop. I'd say skill level required should be intermediate rather than beginner, as navigating to the channel across the bay to the Riviera Canal was somewhat challenging in the high wind, and moving through the mangrove tunnels does require quite a bit of flexibility and dexterity (bending all the way backwards, ducking under branches, leaning to the side, etc). Not a big deal at all for those in reasonably good shape and some familiarity with kayaking, just something to be aware of. It's also very shallow everywhere, so the possibility of flipping isn't as scary. I had a really good time!
We did the 2 hour mangroves kayak tour and it was amazing! Our tour guide Katie was so nice and cool. She helped us through the narrow pathways, was patient and it didn’t feel rushed at all! We highly recommend!
We met Katie our first day in Key West and booked with her, and we were so impressed! One other family went as well and we all had a great time picking up jellyfish and maneuvering through the Mangroves. This was my first time kayaking and she made me feel comfortable and safe, and I can’t wait to go again!
Took my 75yr old mother on the mangrove tour and it was the highlight of our trip. Great for beginners or experienced kayakers. They weren't joking when they call it a mangrove maze! Troy was a great balance between educating us and letting us enjoy the tranquility of the area.
We had an absolutely wonderful time with Troy as our guide through the Mangroves. Did not see any manatees but enjoyed our kayaking experience! Will do it again next year with famiky!

Sie erzählte uns jede Menge über die Mangrovenwälder, dort lebende Tiere, über Key West und dessen Geschichte! Wir haben uns die ganze Zeit sehr wohl gefühlt! The kayak trip was incredibly beautiful. We were beginners ourselves in this area but it was very doable, also for our kids of 9&12. The guidance was perfect, good explanations and descriptions about the beautiful Mangroves and wildlife in the area. Definitely recommended!
