10/10 highly recommend taking an airboat ride with Captain Dale. We had the best time! Captain Dale was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. It was interesting to learn about the various species of birds and we even got to see a bald eagle! Oh, and we saw a ton of gators up close too! Would absolutely book another tour with Spirit of the Swamp on our next FL trip.
Had the 1hr tour with Spirit of the swamp. The boat was excellent and headsets allowed us to stay in touch with Captain Shane. Shane was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. We saw many gators including baby ones as well as plenty of other wildlife. All in all it was a fantastic trip.
Had a great time. The boat ride was exhilarating. Saw a bunch of cool birds and a few different sized alligators. Would do it again!! Guide was interesting and friendly.

Capt. Ryan was great! We had the airboat for us alone and he took all the time to explain everything about the swamps. We saw a gator and he took the time to explain alot about the gators. Thank you Capt. Ryan!
Captain Dale was excellent! He knew all the good gator spots and took us through areas bigger boats cannot go. It created a much more meaningful experience. Since we took a ride after hatching season, it was harder to find any gators but we were still able to find some juveniles. We saw plenty of apple snail eggs/shells along with some cool bird species. Dale took time to answer any questions we had. His boat is equipped with pilot headphones w/mics so we didn't have to stop every time we wanted to ask a question.
An absolutely great time! I always wanted to go on an airboat and I’m so happy we chose Spirit of the Swamp! Our Captain, Lynn, Was great! Very informative and friendly. We will do this again when we return to Florida with other family members.
Brilliant trip, will certainly do it again next time. It ended up just the two of us and Captain Shane. Captain Shane was absolutely fantastic in his knowledge of the lake, the wildlife and most importantly, the locations of where we would see the aligators. We were even lucky enough to see an extremely rare eagle ! The headsets were brilliant too, so you could talk in real time not having to wait until the boat was stopped. We went through some longer grass / reeds and got to experience a lot of random bugs - spiders, grasshopper / crickets / frogs ! We even got caught in a serious rain storm couldnt dampen the experience ( it soaked it ! ) - it was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend Spirit of the Swamp.
Our body captain. Shane, was fantastic! He was polite, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions! He found several groups of babies, a few moms and even a male along with two bald eagles! We had a great time!
Superb trip this morning. Lynne the guide was very friendly and a wealth of knowledge on the Everglades. She made the experience one to remember educational wise and allowing us to take the perfect photos. This was an extremely safe and enjoyable experience and I can not recommend it enough!! Definitely a 5 * + from me!!

Captain Dale was professional and knowledgeable. I also learned from him from past Airboat tours elsewhere what the difference was between a airboat ride and what a airboat bus ride. This is now the only Airboat touring company that I will bring all family and friends that are visiting us here in Florida!
The experience was amazing. We had a great time and learned a lot along the way. The admission fee was affordable. The length of the visit was great. We had so much fun it went by so fast. The atmosphere was wonderful. Captain was a very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back again.
Great experience! Knowledgeable guide, Captain Shane. Never been on airboat before so it was interesting and fun. We went on the hour tour. Fee was reasonable and in line with other operators. Enjoyed it so much will plan for 90 minute tour next time. I chose this company because I liked the small size of boats, 6 passengers but only had 4 on this tour. And the website mentioned that the headsets had mic so could ask questions during the tour. There is a small basket under the seat if you bring a bag with you. Left dock promptly. We saw a lot of birds. 2 alligators, one protecting her nest that hadn't hatched and one watching over her babies. We saw a couple of deer wading on the edge of lake. Lots of birds and pretty flowers. FYI. Parking is at a city park, with restrooms. There is only one small sign for the tour company and no check-in office. Just check-in on the dock with the captain. There is a small gift shop but it is for another company and no one was there to operate it when we were there We were on the 1230 tour so day was warming up. Might see more wildlife if earlier in day.

We did an 1hr airboat ride today with Captain Shane, it was such a great experience and he was so knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to see 3 gators and lots of babies, as well as various different birds which Shane explained to us as we went. It seemed like he had a huge interest in the wildlife and cared about their welfare. At one point there was heavy rain and Captain Shane provided us with ponchos and took us to an area under the cover of a tree to avoid the rain. We also came across the other captain Kevin and his boat, he was also very friendly. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I booked a one hour airboat tour with Spirit of the Swamp Airboat Rides and we had a shared boat with one other couple. The information at time of booking was clear and concise and driving to the location was quite straightforward. There was plenty of space to park and there are toilets available. The check in for the tour was at the dock, where we met Captain Roy. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, knowing so much about the area, wildlife and where to find gators. We saw three different female alligators by their nests and leant some excellent information about them, which was really interesting. The tour was beautiful, seeing the lake and surrounding area with lots of birds, Lilly pads and just enjoying the Florida sunshine & atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend a boat ride with Spirit of the Swamp. Next time we visit we will opt for a longer tour.

Amazing experience with Captain Lynne! She knew exactly where to take us to see alligators and was incredibly knowledgeable about the birds, wildlife, and ecosystem of the area. We had such a great time on the small boat, which made the experience feel personal and allowed us to ask as many questions as we wanted. We had a great 1 hour tour with Captain Dale. He is an experienced guide and we felt safe at all times. He took us to see and explained about mama alligators and their babies. We saw a beautiful blooming water lily area and several species of birds. This tour was old natural Florida and it was nice being on the water. We were a group of four and even though we signed up and paid for a public tour, we were the only ones on the tour. Our boat had an awning of which we were thankful for because it was another warm, sunny afternoon. We all enjoyed this tour and were really glad we picked this airboat company.
