Stayed here one night with family. We loved the restaurant and the smash burger was awesome. Pricey but we expected that and the view on the water was worth the extra $$$. We rented two rooms of which one was upgraded to a suite which was fabulous. Ricky, our valet was the best...above and beyond, I enjoyed his positive attitude and ability to guide us in any direction....places to eat, shop, etc. KAT at the front desk was top notch, customer oriented and always with a smile. Definitely would stay again!

Beautiful property, wonderful location, but some significant disappointments We had a beautiful stay at The Reach Key West. The property was clean and beautiful, with a lovely courtyard, pool, restaurant, and gift shop. Our room had a balcony with views of the ocean, courtyard, and pool, which was absolutely beautiful. The staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. We even enjoyed seeing the little Key West residents—roosters, lizards, and iguanas—wandering around the property! The location was fantastic. So many restaurants and attractions were within a few minutes’ walk. We especially enjoyed visiting Margaritaville, which was meaningful to me because it was one of my dad’s favorite restaurants. Being able to sit there with an ocean view made that experience even more special. ❤️ The food at the hotel was good, although a little pricey. Happy hour was a much better value. Unfortunately, there were two things that really disappointed me. First was the beach. The ocean view is beautiful, but the amount of coral and buildup along the shoreline made it unpleasant to enter the water, and there was also a noticeable smell. The photos of the property make the water look much clearer and more inviting than what we experienced. Being someone who has enjoyed beaches my entire life, this was a significant disappointment. The second was a very frightening experience in the elevator. A man entered the elevator after I had intentionally tried to avoid him. Once inside, he spoke to me in Spanish and made sexual comments toward me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. I don't know whether he was a hotel guest or someone who had entered the property, so I don't want to place blame on the hotel for the individual’s behavior. However, the experience was frightening enough that I believe additional attention to security and guest safety would be worthwhile. I did not report it during our stay because my priority was simply getting myself and my family home safely. Unfortunately, the experience has stayed with me and has even caused nightmares. Despite those experiences, I am grateful for the beautiful memories I made with my mom. The property itself is lovely, the location is excellent, and there were many things we enjoyed. However, because of the beach conditions and the safety experience, I probably would not choose to stay here again. I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously, because with better attention to the beach and guest security, this could be a truly wonderful place to stay.
Had an absolutely fabulous 10 day stay! Perfect location, as well as amenities. Everything very clean, from pool to fitness center to common areas, as well as the beach. Stephanie was on point for drink service at the pool and beach, while Alex was phenomenal for towel attending, umbrellas, ice water, etc., and Ricardo was the absolute best valet ever, so quick and kind! Also, the housekeeping team was the best we have ever seen, our room was always spotless. Thank you The Reach for the best vacation ever!
The room was clean, staff were friendly. Pool was nice thankfully because the beach was covered in seaweed. The restaurant prices were high in my opinion. I knew there was a resort fee which was fine. Listed in the fine print was also ‘valet optional’, but there is nothing ‘optional’ about it. Then they tacked on another $50/day in valet fees on top of the daily resort fee. We like to go in and out multiple times a day, seems like it would be easier to do that on our own instead of waiting for valets.
I just returned from a weekend at The Reach, and the only positive part of our stay was Ricardo and the Valet team—they were incredible and deserve a raise. Unfortunately, everything else missed the mark. Our group of nine booked Queen Double Rooms months ago, yet at check‑in we were told we’d be switched to King rooms with sleeper sofas. Half of my guests ended up sleeping on uncomfortable couches. We were given a $50 per‑guest credit, but it couldn’t be refunded to AMX and had to be used on property. Breakfast was another unpleasant experience. Staff refused to put tables together, got rude when a chair was moved, and then told the rest of our group to leave or find another table while placing “reserved” signs all around us. Even other hotel guests noticed how over‑the‑top it was and offered us chairs. At the beach, the concierge refused to put beach chairs together but offered lounge beds at $200 a piece. I’ve stayed at Casa Marina every year for 15 years and was excited to try The Reach, but this was a major disappointment. Thankfully it was a short trip. I’ll be sharing this with my AMX elite representative. Again, Ricardo and the Valet team were the only ones who made us feel welcome.
