Olivia from the front desk deserves recognition! Give Olivia an incentive. The way Olivia treated us upon checkin and during our stay was more than above and beyond. Olivia gave kunu so much attention. It was more that we could ask for. I would also recognize the bellman JJ Galvis for his service upon checkin and recognize the valet team who assisted us upon arrival Thursday night and Sunday afternoon. I recall the valet named ibrahkim. Tampa Marriot Water Street is a really nice hotel. Very clean and very friendly staff. Olivia made our stay even more pleasant. We would definitely stay at Marriot water street again. It was our first time in downtown tampa and didn’t know what to expect. We like downtown tampa. It’s clean and friendly. We were there for hyrox. Please give recognition to the people I mentioned. Thank you!

Good location with amenities but extremely compact and busy part of downtown that causes major traffic congestion. Valet parking which costs $50 per day was a total mess taking 20-30 minutes to get our car each time it was requested. A few times I had to ask THREE times before they realized that I had even requested my car. They promised to comp me on the bill but did not. Pretty bad service experience. UPDATE: Very sorry about the mistake on my part as they DID comp us for the valet parking as promised. My bad, my bad, my bad. Still, very poor location and execution for $50/+day valet parking that is pretty much useless except for when it is NOT busy (which is seldom). I'd recommend that they be much more transparent with customers about valet parkings shortcomings and/or that they lower their price for a service that is, once again, very poorly executed and not worth the exorbitant fee being charged. They could also offer OPTIONS for parking that are much more reasonable and CONVENIENT for those staying at the hotel. And we are Bonvoy members with Marriott so expect a much higher level of service that what we experienced.
I'm so impressed with this hotel. My experience from the moment I stepped out of the Uber was amazing! There was the kindest gentleman who helped me and my son out of the Uber and took both of our bags to check in. While we were waiting in line to check in, a Marriott Representative named Precious greeted us with a smile, asked how we were and told us that she would be at our disposal with anything we needed. What a great welcoming experience from the moment we arrived. The house keepers/room staff were so happy getting exta waters and coffee and it got even better when I went to the restaurant 6th where Andrew gave great advice on wines and dinner choices. I literally had the BEST burger "as is" coming with crisp bacon that extended out from the bun with amazing specialty cheese and sauce. Andrew's service and food was perfection. This hotel exceeds expectations. I wish I had more time here. What makes this hotel additionally amazing is that it shares all of the services and restaurants with the JW Marriott located across the street with an access to an in hotel walkway bridge. Thank you to Nicha and Nolan for your kind assistance and to all the Marriott staff. I wish I could remember more names, there were just too many nice and accommodating people.
We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Water Street in downtown Tampa. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, with so many great little seating areas throughout and gorgeous décor. It feels upscale, comfortable, and very inviting. The hotel offers several restaurants to choose from, along with great indoor and outdoor bar areas. We had lunch at Anchor and Brine overlooking the water, and it was delicious. There is also a great café and coffee shop attached to the hotel, which was very convenient. The location is fantastic. There are so many additional restaurants and bars within walking distance, and we were even able to walk right to the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Our room was nicely laid out, the bed was very comfortable, and we loved having a small balcony overlooking the water. My only downside, which I’ve also mentioned in another recent Marriott review, is the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel used in the rooms. They are extremely fragrant, and I personally find the scent a little overwhelming. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with great amenities, wonderful waterfront views, and an excellent downtown Tampa location. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
I had a great stay at the Marriott on Water Street in Tampa! The rooms were beautiful with stunning views. Next time I go, though, I will probably request a balcony. The rooms were all updated and clean. My only complaint is that I was right by a little staff area, and I could hear them going in and out quite a bit. My river view was absolutely amazing! The lobby is open and absolutely stunning, overlooking the Riverwalk. All of the restaurants there are spectacular, with very friendly staff. Love the patio at Anchor and Brine! They will validate your parking (no charge) if you are there to dine only! I chose to have dinner at Lona and ordered combination fajitas with chips and salsa. It did not disappoint! The beans and rice were also very good. I woke up in the morning, had a coffee from Perk, and walked to the Riverwalk. This trip and hotel location were so good for the soul. I actually prefer this hotel over the JW Marriott, which is right across the street. The pool area is also so lovely on the 3rd floor overlooking the river. Highly recommend! Also, Olivia and Vivi helped me at the front counter and were super kind and accommodating. They extended my check out time with no problem, which was so appreciated. The staff who helped me at bag check, as well as all of the guys at valet, were all super friendly and accommodating with helping me with my bags. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a 10 out of 10 stay! ⭐️
