I had a good time on this trip, but I won't return to this hotel. The good: the pool is great and very kid-friendly, and the beach is lovely, with free floating cabanas. Rooms were okay, though our AC leaked. The bad: almost everything costs extra. Beach chairs cost money. Parking is $25 a night ($35 for valet), on top of the room rate and resort fee, and they add tax and city tax on the parking itself. Breakfast was about $200 for our family and was just okay. A boat rental was $1,150 for two hours. Each charge alone is small. Together they feel like a squeeze. Service often felt like they were doing us a favor, and communication was poor. A resort that already charges a resort fee shouldn't nickel-and-dime guests at every step. Good amenities, but not worth the price.

I recently had a weekend getaway at this beautiful resort and overall had an amazing stay. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was very disappointing. Vanessa at the front desk told me there was an issue with my reservation but couldn’t explain what was wrong. I asked her several times to call a manager, but she ignored my request and treated my family and me with a very disrespectful attitude. After waiting about 35 minutes, the manager happened to come over and resolved the issue in less than a minute. Before we left the desk, Vanessa told me twice that our room had an “amazing view” that I was going to love. Our view ended up being directly of the dirty laundry carts, which made her comment feel unnecessary and unprofessional. Thankfully, after check-in, our stay was incredible. The resort was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here, but I hope the front desk service improves.
We had an amazing stay at Playa Largo Resort & Spa! The property is absolutely beautiful, with stunning ocean views, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent amenities. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The pool, private beach, and restaurants were all fantastic, and the sunsets were simply unforgettable. Whether you’re looking to relax or enjoy the Florida Keys, this resort is the perfect place. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
We came to Playa Largo to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was beautiful and spacious. The amenities were great too. Excellent beach and pool. The little events throughout the day were a nice touch as well. Who doesn’t love s'mores by the fire? We were on the first floor which meant we could walk out of patio straight to the beach. The trip was everything we wanted and we will absolutely be back.
I recently stayed at this property for a business trip, which made the nightly rate much more reasonable. While I’m not sure I would personally pay the full daily rate for a leisure stay, the hotel is exceptionally well-maintained. Being a Marriott property, the stay was very convenient. A quick heads-up for fellow Marriott Gold members: because of the high volume of elite members, don't necessarily expect an upgrade. Late check-out (I was aiming for 2 PM) is strictly based on availability, and I wasn't eligible during this stay. Service at the pool bar felt a bit slow during the weekdays, though the pace picked up significantly on Friday before I checked out—it may just be the 'relaxed' island pace of the Keys. That said, my family joined me and thoroughly enjoyed the pool and amenities. Three days is about the right amount of time to spend in Key Largo. Regarding dining, the food prices on the resort are quite high, but that is to be expected for the convenience. The resort fee does include some nice perks, like bicycles, which were a great touch. I also spent a lot of time in the lobby—it’s absolutely beautiful and a perfect spot if you need to peel off and get some work done. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for business meetings, just be prepared for the higher price point. The rooms themselves were very nice.
