The Peninsula was a nice place to stay. Wanted to stay in Gulfport and this was on in the center of town! Had a nice restaurant in hotel. Easy walk to many restaurants and entertainment and shops. Gulfport is small and eclectic. Close to water and hosted a Tuesday farmers market with a few blocks of varied vendors. We stayed in express martini suite which is on first floor and very large. Had some early morning noise from guests on second floor on first morning. It is an old building so sound does penetrate floors, ceiling and walls. Black out curtains in room were incredible, didn’t know if it was night or day when closed. Will definitely stay again. Bed and pillows were super comfortable.
The hotel is nice, the restaurant was very convenient and service was awesome April was friendly and very accommodating.the food was delicious. Our room was not available anytime before 3.i would of liked the option.we arrived in town for a funeral. The king bed was not comfortable. You could not adjust the thermostat any lower than 69. The "sofa bed was not a mattress it was the couches cushions.you could not open a window. There were no closets. All one big room.i really enjoyed hearing the room next store to us conversations along with their children's. Location was not bad.
My husband and I chose to stay here for our wedding night and it was FANTASTIC!!! We stayed in the Old Fashioned room and from the beautiful asthetics to the little touches, this hotel was a perfect gem in Gulfport. If you are staying in the St Pete area, stay here. The restaurant downstairs is also delicious and you can get a discount. Will always be staying here when in Gulfport. Also the mattress was a CLOUD
We loved staying at the Peninsula. The location in town was perfect. Everything was walkable. We stayed in the Old Fashioned room on the third floor. The lobby bar was great and cocktails were good. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which made it nice not to have to always go to another place.
I certainly didnt expect the stay i had. Ive been all over florida and never had everything go right like it did here. The room was fantastic and being able to have breakfast there on site was way too easy. Because of the nominal rate i would say its the best value in a hotel stay ive seen in years. First time to this area and I leave with a great impression. 5 restaurants in the immediate area to cater to every dietary requirement. My rating is 5 star.
