My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Key West, FL and decided on Parrot Key Hotel & Villas for our stay. We had such a relaxing time here. The staff was so kind to upgrade us to their water view room and wow was it stunning! Laying in the hammock each evening, watching the sunset, and stargazing once the sun fell will forever be a cherished memory for my husband and I. The staff was excellent as well, Joanna, their mobile bartender, makes the best drinks and Sara was so sweet and accommodating for our "final dinner" at the resort the night before our flight. The pools were well maintained; we saw them checking the PH levels every morning and afternoon. Food was good, and the woman I believe may be the food/bev manager was on top of it! She clearly has a ton of knowledge and did well keeping all the staff on the same page as they continue renovating the new dining area. They also have a complimentary shuttle that will take you down to Duval street which was SO nice and helped us save money on Ubers. I highly recommend Parrot Key if you're thinking of visiting!

It was our first time staying at Parrot Key. It was 3 couples staying in the 3 bedroom waterfront villa. The space is great with the "living room" on the 2nd floor as the hangout spot. The views were great facing the sailboats. The multiple pools were nice and even though the restaurant was closed they had a food truck with a great breakfast, mobile bar, and a "chefs corner" with pizza and other food. The only complaints we had were the mandatory valet which we had 3 cars and they made us pay/park all of them being an extra $120 a night even though we didn't use the service for two of the cars! The main shower (on the 2nd floor) was very small/ because of a soaking tub and the bartender was MIA the only time we wanted to use our welcome drink coupons. We look forward to staying here again as it is a quick 7 minute ($15 lyft XL) ride to town.
Overall, I think this is a wonderful hotel. Whether you’re traveling with children or on your own, it’s a great place to stay. One feature I really appreciated was the adults-only pool. Even though I was traveling with my children, I think it’s a fantastic idea to have a quiet space where adults can relax without the noise of a family pool. I also really liked the rooms. They were spacious, well-designed, and our ground-floor room had a small private patio, which was a great bonus. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Key West. The location is excellent, the property is beautiful, and the staff were genuinely friendly. A special thank you to the bartender from Colombia, who made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a great conversation with her and even ended up taking an evening walk together. The only small issue we experienced was with our late check-out. When we checked in, we requested a late check-out, and the front desk kindly approved it. However, the next morning, after breakfast and spending some time at the pool, we were unable to get back into our room because our key cards had already been deactivated. When I went to the front desk, they told me there was no record of the late check-out in the system. It was a little frustrating, but I believe it was simply human error and not something that significantly affected my overall impression of the hotel.
My family and I had an amazing experience at the resort. Very comfortable. Rooms were great and the staff was amazing. Felix was the man. Will be back again. My only complaint and it does not go against the resort or anyone interacting with people staying, but someone else. We rented a golf cart, and I took delivery at walgreens. I drove the cart over and asked the valet where I should park the golf cart when not in use, that I didn’t want to be in anyones way, and asked if it was better to park it valet or at walgreens. The staff personnel were so nice and said just park it by the other carts and scooters. I said, “well, there isn’t much room over there”. We then went there together and they gave me specific instructions where to park it. I said thank you. Well, about an hour later after I left with my wife to get food, I came back and parked it in the same spot only to be waved down and have someone raise their voice at me telling me I can’t park there. My response was funny, this is exactly where I was instructed to park. Then, I was told no, you cant park there. Why would they tell you to park there, you can’t park there. This is blah blah blah blah blah. That’s when I said okay, well where then. This person whom I guess was of more superiority then gave me a different spot to park. Everything worked out, but if that was a supervisor, their tact was extremely poor and would recommend further training, maybe even from the staff themselves because I can’t stress this enough. Everyone and I mean everyone was so kind, approachable, and friendly. Beyond that, helpful. I will stay here again, and would give 10 stars if I could.
The experience was wonderful; upon arrival, we were welcomed with complimentary champagne and excellent service from the entire staff. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean, offering a spectacular view. The setting is very quiet and cozy. There are four pools, which makes the stay even more relaxing and pleasant. We will definitely be back. 100% recommended.
