Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center stands as a massive upscale destination located in Kissimmee near Orlando within the sunny state of Florida. The property operates under the Marriott International hospitality portfolio and proudly belongs to the iconic Gaylord Hotels brand. Opening its doors in February 2002, the resort was designed to capture the diverse spirit, natural ecosystems, and architectural heritage of Florida through its colossal scale and immersive indoor environments. The hotel's unique character and greatness lie in its enormous glass atriums spanning over four and a half acres, which recreate distinct Florida environments like the Everglades, St. Augustine, and Key West under one roof. Among its standout specialties are an expansive water park featuring a lazy river and multi-story drop slides, a massive convention center offering hundreds of thousands of square feet of flexible meeting space, and several signature dining venues including Old Hickory Steakhouse. Positioned firmly within the upscale resort market, the price range is high-end, reflecting its status as a premier destination for both large-scale conventions and family leisure vacations. Visitor comments are overwhelmingly favorable, with guests frequently praising the breathtaking scale of the glass atriums, the fun family-friendly water amenities, the lush tropical landscaping, and the immersive holiday event productions, though some note that parking and resort fees can add up quickly during peak seasons.

Great resort with well crafted rooms, many restaurants, and a nice spa benefit for Marriott Platinum+. Start day with some yoga on the lawn, Terri provided good guidance for a newbie, not crowded on a weekday, have breakfast buffet with Mediterranean omelette, pastries, and vast charcuterie selection - in a ☀️ -filled atrium. Thanks Ron from Manila for amazing service and energy! Spa with high Marriott status gets aroma steam room and dry sauna with showers having electronic message controls - how cool! Disney is a only a comfy shuttle away. Early in morn works great to be ahead of long crowds, and return right after the Epcot 9 pm musical fireworks 🎇 (but get on the 🚝 monorail fast to TTC!). ...or go on a shopping and live entertainment adventure with the Disney Springs shuttle, the Cirque de Soleil collaboration show was amazing, don't forget to book the animated evening prix fixe meal at least 24 hrs in advance for a steal of a deal at $45-65! Housekeeping and staff helpful including directions through this maze of a resort, great they added the elevator bank on the key card sleeve! Stopping at Concierge is a must for ideas, especially for families going to Disney Springs for vouchers to family friendly restaurants and a nicer map than at the location. Thanks Aura!
This was my first time staying at Gaylord Palms, and honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Orlando. We visit Orlando often and usually stay at a different Marriott property, but after this stay, Gaylord Palms definitely made a lasting impression. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We were able to get an early check-in, and the next day they were also able to accommodate a late checkout, which meant so much to us because my partner injured his foot at universal. A special shoutout to Sam at the front desk — he truly went above and beyond to take care of us and made us feel genuinely cared for. Everyone we encountered was kind, helpful, and welcoming. We also ate at one of the bars on the property, and the food was amazing! Our server, Jackie, was wonderful and added to the experience with great service. And the property itself is absolutely beautiful. The resort is gorgeous, the rooms were clean, the views were amazing, and there is so much to do without even leaving the property. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
One of the best hotels I have experienced in a long time! We did breakfast at the resort which was reasonably priced for an amazing buffet style breakfast! The beds were fabulous and we had a wonderful right sleep. The beautiful indoor/outdoor spaces hit the spot! The massage was out of this world. I highly recommend spending a few hours between the massage, saunas and steam rooms! I was disappointed in the spa showers as most of them did not work properly and I ended up going back to my room to shower. Overall, great experience!
Restaurants were fantastic. Room was super spacious and well equipped. Resort is huge and easy to get lost, maps they give you only show the main level but the maps function on the app was very helpful. They need to add an easy connection from parking garage to the resort. You will definitely get your steps in here. Few late night options for drinks or food.
