Floripa City Tour By Bus - Whole Island - The Most Complete City Tour

Super grateful to Neiva and Floripa by Bus tours for this trip. Had no read all the information properly, leading to not being picked up, however alternate arrangements where made to have me connect with the trip and experience what was left of the tour. The experience itself was excellent, despite the weather on the day and met plenty of new people. .

Great way to get an overview of the island. Stops were well planned , though each could have been shortened by 10-15 minutes. The last stop could have been extended by 15 minutes. There was miscommunication between Viator and the tour company -- the tour company didn't know I was waiting at the Ibis Hotel even though I selected that hotel as my pickup point. Guide was excellent. Translating into 3 languages is very difficult.

What a great experience, our tour guide was so friendly and helpful and covered the tour in three languages, Portuguese, Spanish and English. It was the best way to see Floripa which allowed us to go back and see some of the sites on our own and spend more time in each area.

This was my first trip to Brazil and I wanted to get a really good tour of Florianopololis, where I would be spending a few weeks. After doing much research, I chose Floripa by Bus because it had such a great itinerary and was 8 hours long. The communication from the beginning was great and Douglas sent me very clear messages on WhatsApp confirming where I would get picked up. Once I got on the bus, I was greeted by our very friendly guide, Neiva, who checked me in. I later found out that out of the 25-30 passengers, I was the only English speaking guest, but Neiva still conducted the tour in Portuguese, Spanish and English! So not only did I understand all of the interesting history and culture of what I was seeing, I got to practice other languages throughout the day. Even though it was a little chilly, being on the top deck and seeing the city, and beaches, and sites without windows (especially since I love taking photos) was a treat. For those that got cold, they were able to go and sit comfortably in the lower part of the bus. Our driver, José (nicknamed Zé) was amazing and navigated the turns and narrow roads like a pro! At each stop, Neiva provided me with some tips and suggestions in English and once we connected about being former educators that loved nature, she spent extra time with me at Projeto Tamar (sea turtle sanctuary) telling me about its history and how they have educated the fisherman. The restaurant we went to for the buffet was excellent and it was not very busy at all. All of the stops were interesting and had just enough time to get a taste of the area and move on to learn more. I would highly recommend this tour and this company to anyone who is looking to learn about Floripa. A true 10 out of 10!

Excellent tour guide, stops and hospitality warmth

Went on a full 8 hour tour yesterday and it was amazing!

This tour was outstanding. We saw almost the entire island, which is surprisingly huge. Our driver was skilled and careful. And our guide spoke perfect English. She made a point of engaging with every single person on the bus and ensuring they felt welcome and appreciated. So professional and kind. She clearly loved her job. The tour is long, yes, but you cover a surprising amount of ground, and the guide was great at keeping everyone engaged and on time. We stopped at an excellent buffet restaurant for lunch that would please any budget. (You must pay for your lunch, so this was a really great gesture.) we are so glad we did this tour. We saw parts of Gloria we never would have found on our own on a first visit. What a beautiful city it is. They played fantastic music, but not blaringly. And the upper deck was covered, a godsend on a hot sunny day. I highly, highly recommend this tour! You will not be sorry!

Very relaxing day out. The guide spoke great English, she was very friendly and welcoming to me. She also knew a lot about the area and its history which made the tour very interesting. I especially enjoyed the visit to the turtle sanctuary!

Good bus tour although a little difficult to hear the guide sitting up on the top. Nice to visit all the beaches and see development around the island.

I’m sure the tour was super interesting and everything the friendly guide was saying was interesting BUT we couldn’t hear any of it! They need to put speakers up top of the bus because none of us could hear anything she said. This took away from the value of the tour because everything we saw we didn’t know anything about. Also, the tour guide needs to learn better translations when telling us when to return to the bus. 2 hours and 30 minutes does NOT mean 2:30pm. It is a duration. This is extremely important to say correctly or you will misinform people!

Tried contacting them the morning well before the start time since the meeting location was 30 minutes away. I tried asking if I could meet up with them later and no one responded until 3 hours later by the time it was too late. Looks like a fun tour but bad communication and got no refund in the process.

Excellent tour - really interesting. Lots of key information given in English. Good recommendations. Right time allocated for each place. Would do this trip again.

A good informative tour which gave us a taste of places to go back to. Less time on the bus and longer at stops would be nice. we were always rushing in order to get back to the bus on time.

Floripa By Bus was an incredible experience! They took us to the best locations and beaches, including a beautiful turtle sanctuary, where we learned about conservation efforts. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip fun and engaging. Everything was well-organized, and they even helped us get discounts at local restaurants, which was a great bonus. A perfect way to explore Florianópolis—highly recommend!

We drove past historic sites in Florianopolis Centro and then stopped at 6 places on Florianopolis Island. Three sites were beaches, but they were quite different from each other. My favorite places were the sea turtle research center (with living sea turtles in several tanks and also activities for kids) and Santo Antonio, the town where 6000 immigrants from the Azores settled. It was cool to see the oyster farms just offshore. Every stop has great views and we took a ton of pictures. Our guide explained the sights in Portuguese, Spanish, and English (we are English speakers). She was also happy to answer individual questions and was knowledgeable about the area. The tour took about 8.5 hours, as noted on the website. Lunch was at a buffet -style restaurant in Canasveiras (50 Regis all you can eat). I learned a lot about Florianopolis on this tour and thought it was well worth the price. One thing that was unusual by U.S. standards was that you had to provide your passport number, confirmation number, and phone number when calling the Floripa By Bus WhatsApp number to arrange pickup. Just be prepared to have that info on hand.

Our guide, Margaret stands out as THE BEST! She handled Portuguese, Spanish and English. There weren't many English speakers on board but she never forgot us! And I really enjoyed chatting with her about Mississippi Delta Blues 💙. Our Driver took pride in handling the bus, even making sure it was clean in between stops. Not a small thing to see care and pride in handling duties. I will definitely recommend this tour to my other incoming friends! Thank you 🎆💯

Good tour get an overview about the city and several beaches. The provided itinerary machted on the minute what we did. I recommend doing this on the first day in Florianópolis to get an overview about what’s offered

So many stops. I had time to play in the waves, eat and learn about the island. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I requested an English language tour, but the tour was primarily in Spanish and Portuguese. I saw many sights, but did not learn much. Be wary of the buffet- I ended up with travellers diarrhea, but can’t say if it was because of the lunch place.

Covers a lot of area for a good price. The tour guide was extremely nice and knowledgeable. The driver did a great job as well on the small streets. Make sure you bring a jacket. And if you only speak English just realize you may only get an abbreviated explanation of some of the points of interest. This is only because there is not enough time to explain in 3 different languages while passing a point of interest. But if you have any questions you can just ask the tour guide when you make stops.

What an awesome experience! My husband and I booked this tour so we could see some highlights of Florianopolis and we had such a great day. Our guide was fantastic; so friendly and helpful, and she spoke great English as well as Spanish and of course Portuguese! I loved sitting on the open upper floor of the bus. Our guide was very informative and I really enjoyed learning about Floripa. I am in awe of how much this beautiful city has to offer! The stops are fairly quick so this is a good way to get an overview, then my husband and I plan to go back to our favorite spots during other days while we’re here to spend more time. Overall I highly recommend this tour!

This tour is advertised as being in English. This is a complete lie. The guide we had while being very pleasant had rudimentary English at best. Thus 95% of the tour was in Portuguese and this is NOT what we purchased. Listening to a woman drone on for eight and a half hours in Portuguese is hell.

Great way to get introduction. The area is big so it’s a great way to get an overall feel. Our bus broke down at the last stop so we took an Uber back but it was fine… :-))

Great views in an open air bus from higher view angle. Professional trilingual tour guide and bus driver. It’s definitely a unique experience before you explore the island of magic.

This is a fantastic day city tour of the central/northern part of the Island, it shows the main locations, beaches, neighbourhoods. The tour was very informative and the driver and tour guide were great. Would definitely recommend this tour!

This is a great way to see different areas of the city and different beaches without having to rent a car. We also learned a lot about the history of Floripa along the way with our friendly guide Liliane. She was wonderful and helpful, even giving individual attention to people if someone doesn't understand something. I definitely recommend doing the tour if you have time.

Was a good tour to see a lot of highlights of the city & North part of the island. The Name of the tour is a bit misleading though, definitely not "whole" island just North half and would have liked more information about the history, culture and things during the long stretches of road, especially since the other language explanations were cut short because there was "not enough time"

Our tour guide - lady, was really nice and helpful. Tour was ok, lots of time on the bus, but it gives a good overview of the island, and its individual parts. The island itself is extremely beautiful, picturesque nature, lush forest and amazing beaches.

Very nice and friendly tour guide. It gives a good sightseeing trip of Florianopolis. The bus was very comfortable and the timing was just right.

Had a great time during this whole island bus tour. It is a great introduction for the island, so highly recommend to do this first thing when arriving to Florianopolis as the bus goes to the most popular places. Afterwards you know where you’d like to come back to spend more time. Really nice guide, who also talks in English and never forgets any passenger after the sights stops.

Tour guide was very friendly, there was not much English spoken on this English tour, and even though my husband speaks Portuguese, we all just enjoyed just seeing the sites. The lunch buffet is tasty, the places are beautiful, the people on the tour with us were very friendly. Great for singles, couples, or families of all ages.

Worth it for the money. Full 8 hours tour around the island. See the most beautiful beach in Floripa. Have great seafoods lunch ( not included) tour guide speak fluent English. Willing to recommend to anyone who need one day tour

The tour of Florianopolis and the island was quite enjoyable! Our tour guide Lyida was phenomenal, as she knew her history of the area keeping all of us in line with her police whistle! She was Tri lingual in Portuguese, Spanish, and English! She always made sure that I was informed, as I was the only English speaking on the bus tour!

We booked the trip online before arriving in Floianopolis. It was easy to book. Unfortunately, we didn't know it was far from where we stayed and we had to drive a 45 minute drive to take the tour. The tour was excellent. We had a beautiful day and visited beautiful places. One thing to keep in mind is to bring a towel or cloth to put on the seat because after a few hours the seat was so hot that we couldn't even sit down. The driver and tour guide were nice, but I missed the Spanish tour to get to know the places better. We finished with a big rain and they were very kind to drop us off at the bus station to return us to the hotel. Great end, we had a great time !!!

If you are pressed for time and want to see the highlights of the island in a day, then this is a great day trip. The guide was informative and the staff were very welcoming. It was value for money and enjoyable.

Wonderful tour. Well organized. Liliane is the perfect guide, so helpful to each passenger. Her speaking good English really helps. The company really does cater to service dogs.

Great day. Lots of information and beach time. No museum time, but you see and locate it so you can go back later. Excellent driver and guide. If you have a day this tour is worth the time and money.
