Florianópolis is known in Brazil as the “Island of Magic”. Its breathtaking beaches are a paradise to surfers and beach goers alike. It is thought by many as the best place to unwind and get in touch with your inner self. It holds a lot of history as well as some of the most beautiful beaches in the country In addition to over 40 gorgeous beaches, “Floripa” – the city’s nickname – has plenty of other attractions. On the tour, you will see the historical center where the little yellow and charming metropolitan cathedral is located.
In the most important square of the city, we’ll get acquainted with Praça XV de Novembro (15th of November Square, named after the date in which the republic was proclaimed) where the imposing Palace Cruz e Souza stands, which now houses the historical museum of Santa Catarina. The Palace is important in many ways as it's staged many important moments in Brazilian history throughout different points in time. It hosted both Brazilian emperors during their visits to the city and was stormed by revolutionaries during the federalist revolution in 1891. It seems this palace has seen its share of history.
Named after the Governor of Santa Catarina, another historical and visually striking location is the Hercilio Luz Bridge. It was the first bridge constructed to link the Island of Santa Catarina to the mainland.
But obviously, in a city like Floripa, the beaches and lagoons are still a must see. One of our other stops is one of the most famous natural landmarks in the city, the Lagoa da Conceição. The neighborhood houses not only a lagoon, but also a few buildings dating back to when the city was colonized and settled. We will visit the lagoon of Conceição belvedere, which has a beautiful and complete view of the lagoon and Sete Voltas Hill.
Afterwards, we will pass by the Rendeiras avenue
We will arrive at Joaquina Beach, where various national and world surfing championships take place. Beautiful waves are great for practicing the sport and it is a place admired by sports fans.
Leaving Joaquina, we will go to Barra da Lagoa, where we will have free time for lunch (not included).

We had an English speaking guide for our tour and she was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and provided many tips about the area for even after the tour. Tour included good stops and overall history of the island. Would recommend it.

Great tour guide who was very accommodating to me as the only non-Brazilian. This tour is mostly about visiting beach locations around Floripa and not about culture or history. I was hoping to get to a museum and one of the forts.
Car 1 hour delay, communication from the guide bad, the guide acted in his own interest obliging the group to eat in the most expensive rest indicated by him. Most of the time was inside the bus. We grated the whole day the longest time we stayed out was at the restaurant. Horrible!!! I do not tell anyone better pick up an Uber and visit the places è cheaper and more comfortable!
I bought a package city tour via the Internet, no one appeared at the marked place, did not warn anything, after 2 hours of waiting to get contact with the company that would carry out the tour, first said mao was locating the reservation and later said there was no vacancy for that date, and the site searches whether there is availability to be able to make the reservation. Request tour with guide speaks Spanish and the guide did not speak Spanish, hsmablaba solp in Portuguese and babble some basic words in Spanish, but we did not understand anything that said. He also promised more activities and was supposed to finish after 5 pm, however, after lunch we were dropped off at the hotel. Another situation is that you don’t get told that you are practically forced to eat lunch in a restaurant, whose prices are very high, sometimes you don’t leave with a credit card or with so much cash. They could point to that situation when you book the tour to be prepared.
The guide ruined the experience. Impertinent, with several unpleasant comments, we couldn't even talk to each other because he interrupted. The rest of the team was great, but if it's that Cover driving, it ruins the experience.

Nao engloba toda a ilha, mas é importante para situar onde se está. Em alta temporada a outros tours para o norte e sul da ilha, mas na baixa temporada normalmente as agencias oferecem esse City tour que foca no centro e leste da ilha.

We went to the less crowded places, and it was very nice. We enjoyed very good weather, beautiful beaches and water temperatures to enjoy. We spent a week in Celso Ramos and another in Cachoeira. We visited some nearby beaches.
The most efficient way to get to know a place is to explore it on foot, to walk. But Floripa is a very large island and that is not very viable. Therefore, just like in big cities, we take a bus that tours the most interesting places. The time of year when we visited Floripa (to spend the Reveillón there) is not the best to move around the island by car or even by public transport due to terrible "os engarrafamentos". We had located in Canasviriras with the intention of resting and taking advantage of the beach. However, an overview of the island was necessary. The hotel pick-up service was perfect, on time and opportune. The planned places to visit (center, Hercilio Da Luz bridge, lake, etc.) were well chosen, except the entrance to Praia Joaquina. It has a unique access and the number of people at this time makes it very difficult to get there. A lot of time is wasted and being on that beach with thousands of people crowded together does nothing good, it gives no pleasure. That alone would have been eliminated from the tour, given the circumstances. The rest was very good. The guide in charge was very professional and was always attentive to the passengers' questions, giving very accurate explanations. Very good system to have a global idea of what Florianópolis is. Recommendable.
The island is beautiful, it is very large so I couldn't explore it completely. The vast majority of tourists go to the northern beaches but I recommend Riberao da Ilha for its beauty, architecture and tranquility.

Very entertaining walk. Philip the very good guide. All the stops were perfect. The place of picturesque lunch and very good food. The only thing that would change would be the time off that was given after lunch, it would make it shorter.
The tour is very cool for those who want to enjoy and know the sights and beaches of Floripa. On the bus there is a tourist guide that shows and tells the history of each place. There are stops at wonderful places like the Praia da Joaquina, Conceição and Santo António among others. The tour lasts all day, but we don't even feel the time passing, engaged with the beauty of each place. It's really inevitable.

Unfortunately it was a day with a lot of rain, we could not see absolutely anything of the bridge Hercilio Luz, we thought that around the time it was already clear and there was still time we could see it, it was not. Then we did on our own the tour to the bridge, which is by far the most interesting thing next to the Cathedral of the whole tour.

It was worth it. I booked the tour for two people and I finally knew the day that we would be just the two of us. So the driver did not make the traditional route and ended up making a personalized ride. He took us to all the places we asked and showed us some others we didn’t know. It was too worth it. We stopped for a coffee in the middle of the morning and for lunch around 13:00 at the places indicated by him and it was all excellent.

It is worth doing the city tour. You make the historic part in the morning (cathedral, Piazza da Figueira, market, historic buildings), and follow to the beaches of the east in the afternoon (Praia Mole, Joaquina) and Lagoa da Conceição, where you have one of the most amazing views of the island. We had lunch at the restaurant Two Brothers in Barra da Lagoa and believe only a sequence of shrimp gave for 4 people.
The city is very clean, the view of the Mirante Moor is too! What impresses me most are the beaches. Too pretty! Attention to those of Joaquina and Barra da Lagoa; what places!! Santo Antonio de Lisboa is a very welcoming place to meet.
It is a city tour for recognition of the main points of the city. You spend a lot of time in history and don't have time to enjoy the beaches. For those who want beach, I do not recommend. But for those who know the most beautiful places to return at another time, it's super worth it.

I did the city tour with Bastian, super good people guide, who explained the tour in detail, was very friendly and helpful all the time. I bought the tour with Simone (Telephone 48 8454-6439) who was very attentive, removing all doubts and giving us all the pre-tour support. Simone also indicated other destinations, but for our short period we only hired the city tour and Beto Carrero, which was wonderful tbm.
