Itinerary
Enjoy a Prosecco in one of Florence’s liveliest squares. Cheers to Italian dolce vita and to the start of your night out with new friends!
Visit a Wine Window and taste mouth-watering charcuterie boards paired with the most delicious wine, all served in a cellar dating back to the XII century!
Step into a family-run shop run by a man the neighborhood has crowned King of Cheese, tasting two styles of pecorino and a parmigiano while he makes his case for the title with total conviction.
Learn the story behind Florence's Wine Windows, small openings built for plague-era wine sales, reopened in recent years. Bruschetta with stracciatella and a glass of Tuscan wine come alongside the history.
At a trattoria run by a mother-son duo, you'll watch gnudi (naked pasta) tossed and plated tableside, paired with a glass of Chianti Classico, one of Tuscany's most tightly regulated wines, and one of its best.
This fiaschetteria has poured wine for Oltrarno's restaurants since the 1950s. Here you'll learn to make a proper Negroni before settling into wild boar stew with a glass of Super Tuscan wine, served through its own Wine Window.
Close the night with a short lesson in spotting real artisanal gelato, then taste two flavors from a shop Florentines themselves voted the city's best. The neon-colored stuff at tourist stands won't tempt you again.

We had an amazing tour with Sara D.! She took us to hidden spots in her own neighborhood! We met the King of Cheese and had the best cheese I have ever tasted! We visited the cellar of a Knight of Verona, a dining room for local specialties and the best Negroni! Such a special night we will never forget!
Sara D was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of Florence and the history of the food was so impressive. The businesses that we visited were so accommodating and knowledgeable about their food/beverages, and so enjoyable to chat with. Massi, Marzio, Martina, Johnny were so professional and informative. We will recommend this tour to all our friends that visit Florence.
Sara D, the guide, was absolutely incredible. Wonderful personality and explained everything beautifully. Wonderful tour, would recommend to everyone I know. Massi, The king of cheese Martina, and Johnny were all wonderful. 10/10 would do again!!
We had a wonderful evening on this food tour with our amazing guide, Assia! ❤️ We visited a wine cellar, a cheese shop, two lovely restaurants (one with a wine window!) and a gelato shop. Every stop was enjoyable, and as a vegetarian, I was really pleased that my dietary requirements were fully accommodated. Such a lovely way to spend an evening in Florence! The group size was just right, making it a great experience for both groups of friends and solo travellers. Would highly recommend!
Amazing food and wine. Some of the best I've ever had. Should have booked this earlier in our trip so we'd know where to eat. Dimitri was a very knowledgeable guide
Alice was a wonderful guide! She was so personable and cheery! I would highly recommend this tour.
This is a really excellent food walking tour of Florence’s less fashionable side, especially the cheese shop and the wine cellar. But remember to pace yourself because there is plenty to eat and drink.
Antonella was awesome…providing a diverse experience of food and drink! Highly recommended…must do!!!
Alice was spectacular. Her knowledge is amazing and she had relationships with each one of the people we visited and always made each one of the business owners feel special. She told us things about each one of them that set them apart like the cheese king, or the naked pasta. I would do one with her again she knows the area she grew up there, and it was quite the experience to add to my bucket list trip.
We had an incredible did tour. We got to see the city. Try new foods and learn about culture. Would definitely take this tour again
Alice was a wonderful guide! All the stops were perfectly timed and intimate experience. I learned so much about Florence and I really appreciate meeting all the local owners! Take this tour and ask for Alice!!
Alice was amazing! Made the tour enjoyable and engaging!!
This was an informative and thoroughly enjoyable tour. Martina was an excellent guide who made the tour fun, while giving us interesting facts on Florence and Tuscany. The food and wine were delicious and the stops were well thought out. We enjoyed every stop we made. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone staying in Florence
Nadia was incredible. Had great knowledge of the food, wines, and local restaurants. We had a great tour.
Fun. Come hungry! Very informative. The oltrarno has a lot going on. Great way to explore it. Meet unique people who love their work.
I wish I would have done this sooner! What a delightful authentic experience. Dimitri taught us so much. The food and wine were amazing.
WOW! What an experience. Dimitri was a delight. I learned so much and drank so much. :) this is my third time in Florence and by far this evening made this the best trip yet.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, food and wine. Our guide Antonella was amazing. Would highly recommend.
Serena was truly AMAZING!! This was our first food tour and it did not disappoint! We got to experience local places we never would have without her, and we met some fun friends along the way. It was an incredible tour - definitely recommend!!
We had a wonderful time learning the culture through food and wine. Kiara was an amazing tour guide who is highly knowledgeable about the culture! I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to Italy!!! 🇮🇹
Kiara was absolutely amazing!! Would do it again and again. Can’t wait to try a new city.
Kiara was such a great host and the food and selection was amazing. Great to have all the glorious wine and bites! My second eating Europe trip and I loved it!!!
Very good time with Kiara. Wouild not have tried those places without her.
We took the food & wine tour with Irene and it was absolutely wonderful! It was amazing to taste the history of Florence within a few short blocks… about 2-miles round trip at a leisurely pace. A big shout out to the host as she ensured my wife had a gluten free sample of everything I enjoyed and she wasn’t left out. Would love to do another tour soon!
Such a wonderful way to experience the area and our tour guide was engaging to everyone in the group. Learning about traditional dishes from the country and the history of the food and wine was lovely.
Absolutely amazing - thank you Alice for an amazing evening. Great food, amazing locations and fantastic company!
Martino was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and a pleasure to learn from. The tour itself was enjoyable and well-paced, and the food was good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience! A few additional food samples would have made it even better and provided a little more value for the price.
Great tour with Lorenzo, experienced a wide variety of local shops. Highly recommended!!
When we got there we could not find our guide and then were sent chasing after a group that had left only to find that our booking had been “lost”. Despite receiving confirmation and paying which was really poor. The guide made it up by asking us to join a different group so we still got to experience the food and the wine. The tour guide was great and knowledgable, the food was lovely. The highlight was the cheeses and the wine!! The tour did feel very rushed. And it was advertised as a 3:30 tour and we were finished in about 2.5hrs. It was an experience and learnt a lot about Florence and wine but for what we paid and expected it was not great (and tour operator poor with loosing our booking).
This was one of our top excursions across Italy. Caterina was very informative and interactive with everyone. It was a really nice balance between food and wine. It was nice to taste food that you might not without the tour.
We absolutely loved this tour with Lorenzo. And that it was in the local area. Lorenzo was knowledgeable, personable and fun. The places we visited were fantastic, with lots of great food and wine and big personalities. Loved it and would highly recommend.
Great way yo discover the Oltrane neighbourhood of Florence. Good choice of local eatries and winneries. Focus more on the wine than the food.
We had a great time with Martino! Everything was well organized and our guide was personable, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions patiently. The area around Santo Spirito is one to explore and enjoy. All of our tastings at the different restaurants were delicious as were the drinks. Martino pointed out little things we definitely would have missed on our own, shared a recipe and really explained the region/food choices/wine pairings. Would highly recommend and would do again!
Sara D did a fantastic job introducing us to nice local delicacies and staples in charming spots. I have a tremendous appetite but couldn’t finish ! Sara entertained us with some local history. We didn’t feel rushed and the tour was well paced and organized. Brava Sara!
There isn’t nearly enough drinks (tiny pours) or good quality food on this tour and it goes on for hours. I left exhausted and hungry. For such an expensive experience I’d save your money and go to a nice restaurant. The tour guide was nice. Everything is done literally to the minute they just take you to small places that is funded by these tours. Not full of locals. The only place I would say was worth going to is good Stanley Tuccis wine window. That place was great and I would recommend. Everything else felt like it was just open for the ongoing tour group. The food wasn’t delicious at all. And every drink was in tiny plastic containers. This is not a tour where you are well fed and drink well. Rip off!
Antonella did an amazing job! Very knowledgeable and friendly and made the tour a lot of fun!
This small group food and wine tour was fantastic! Sara was amazing and you could tell she is passionate about her local area. The food was spectacular at every stop and the wine window was a treat! My husband and I loved the area so much we went back the following day to visit some of the stops again. Highly recommend taking this tour for a local experience! Request Sara if you can!🍷❤️
What a fun and entertaining evening with Martina!! She was extremely knowledgeable about everything: the city, the food, the wine! Also, just a pleasant and nice person. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Highly recommend!!!
Our guide Ellie was fantastic! She obviously loves the neighborhood and the people / businesses we visited. It was a lovely experience.
Incredible food and drinks-great education from Sara D-and very nice, flexible with my gluten allergy-much appreciated! Loved the various owners of the establishments and their histories. Johnny’s Negronis were amazing!
Fun, informative and delicious! This tour was great. It all took place in the same area and offered a lot of food, wine and even a cocktail. A++++++
Lorenzo was PHENOMENAL This was a fantastic tour
One of the best food tours we have every been on! We ate so much food and were able to explore local spots in Florence. Our tour guide Lorenzo was incredible and so knowledgeable on the food as well as the city. We had a guest with a gluten allergy and they were all so accommodating!
Nadia was amazing. Very insightful and genuine. She shared a lot of history around the food as well as the history. All of the food was amazing.
Had an incredible experience with Elisa. Wonderful food tour. We loved everything, the food, wines, and company.
From the start, we were warmly welcomed by Elisa-she personally welcomed everyone in the group. We then were given a glass of prosecco, and introduced ourselves to the small group of 6 couples. We walked a short distance to each spot for wine and food - all the while being entertained by Elisa's storytelling and information about the wine and food at each establishment. Everything was delicious! We ended with gelato. It was a perfect evening - one of the best tours we have been on !
Beautiful experience of wine, food and the wonderful history of firenze!
We had an amazing time on this Florence food tour! Serena was a lovely guide, and we enjoyed tons of delicious, unique foods, plenty of flowing wine and drinks, and a little fascinating history along the way. Such a fun way to experience Florence’s food scene. Highly recommend!
