We booked this trip as we were interested in the history of the ponte vecchio which was the last stop, we’d even prepped a few questions ready but the tour ended before we even got there !! The guide was awful and spent more time telling us about random stuff rather than the historical info we were expecting. I saw someone else mentioned this but stupidly ignored it thinking maybe it was a one off but it clearly wasn’t ! I have done many tours over the years and none were as poor as this was

The Palazzo Medici, also called the Palazzo Medici Riccardi after the later family that acquired and expanded it, is a Renaissance palace located in Florence, Italy. It is the seat of the Metropolitan City of Florence and a museum
The Basilica di San Lorenzo (Basilica of St Lawrence) is one of the largest churches of Florence, Italy, situated at the centre of the city’s main market district, and the burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family from Cosimo il Vecchio to Cosimo III.
Florence Cathedral, formally the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, is the cathedral of Florence
Piazza della Repubblica is a city square in Florence, Italy. It was originally the site of the city's forum; then of its old ghetto, which was swept away during the improvement works, or Risanamento, initiated during the brief period when Florence was the capital of a reunited Italy—work that also created the city's avenues and boulevards
Piazza della Signoria is an L-shaped square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. It was named after the Palazzo della Signoria, also called Palazzo Vecchio. It is the main point of the origin and history of the Florentine Republic and still maintains its reputation as the political focus of the city. It is the meeting place of Florentines as well as the numerous tourists, located near Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza del Duomo and gateway to Uffizi Gallery.
The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge over the Arno River, in Florence, Italy, noted for still having shops built along it, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied the shops; the present tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers. The Ponte Vecchio's two neighbouring bridges are the Ponte Santa Trinita and the Ponte alle Grazie.

It’s chaotic in Florence. There were many tourists. One tour member said… oh I thought this was a tour about Medici’s. And that’s what it was. But I had signed up for the Florence walking tour. It was disappointing for that reason. The guide was great.
I could not recommend this tour more but I think we may have gotten extra lucky with our guide who was beyond spectacular in knowledge, keeping us engaged every moment, leading us to shade and just a wealth of information, engaging, fascinating even my 14 year old was engaged in this heat! Thank you! We loved it and learned so so much in such a short amount of time. Excellent!!!!!!
Wonderful overview of the city and its history. The guide was very nice, informative and spoke impeccable English. The audio devices also ensured the guide could be heard at all times. Would absolutely recommend.
Perfect tour for those staying 1-2 days in Florence. This tour gives you a taste of the city. So you know where to go and what to do, and you also learn a bit of history. Our guide Julia was fantastic for the short time she had; she gave us so many good recommendations: must-eat & drink, places to shop, and visit. She is fantastic and so passionate about her city. I would highly recommend this tour.
Received lots of information on the tour that we wouldn’t have gotten ordinarily. Friendly tour guide and good croud
Rosa was our guide in Florence, and we really enjoyed the tour. She was knowledgeable, shared helpful practical tips, and took the time to answer all of our questions. The experience felt well-organized and engaging throughout. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Was a great tour to learn more about the history of Florence. Out guide was great and made the tour fun.
We arrived 1 minute before the tour started no one was there. I assumed we were in the wrong place so I walked back to the Duomo where I saw tours. I messaged the operator at 5 after for help. No response. I went back to the first place looking all around. They finally responded at 9 after to say I missed the tour. I offered to join where I get to my wife. No reply. I reached out to Viiator to get help. They aren't able to help either. I gave us after 25 minutes of frustration.
Short and sweet. Good historical info. Rachel was a great guide. Loved her and the area we covered! Highly recommend
Great walking tour. Tour guide was vey knowledgeable and professional. We really learned and saw a lot of Florence.
Our tour guide Rafaelo was incredibly knowledgeable, the amount of information provided was a bit much. the tour was supposed to end at 4:30 and it did but we never got to the last stop on the itinerary Ponte Vechio.
Seeing Florence from the rooftops of some buildings whilst enjoying interesting conversation and food and drink is an excellent idea and very well executed.
Eduardo was the best guide. He has a huge knowledge and he enjoys telling about his city! And he is celebrity - I saw him a week later with Evelyn Burdecki in german TV 😍😎
Walking around Florence on our first day and seeing a lot of the sites was so helpful for the rest of our trip. Our guide was terrific, informative and friendly. Wou,d highly recommend this tour
Awesome tour guide. Well versed and awesome public speaking skills. Historical perspective was great!
Rachel she was great and very knowledgeable about history and Florence she did answer questions about anything food restaurant history we had great experience thank you
Eduardo was an incredible tour guide that fit so much history and local knowledge in such a short tour. We covered lots of ground and learned a lot. He also gave us recommendations to do after the tour that made our entire trip to Florence much better, including an excellent recommendation to go to San Lorenzo basilica and a tip on the best lampredotto in Florence! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Very friendly and enthusiastic guide! A nice focus on the Medici history and the architectural history.
This was not what we signed up for- it wasn’t a walking tour, it was a talking tour. The guide was knowledgeable, but stood, often for more than 10 minutes and talked at us. Lots of history, nothing shared about current buildings, politics, or community. We basically walked around a few blocks. The guide was late, he had his “speech” and didn’t like when I asked him questions, sometimes he literally ignored me. There were only 4 of us, none of us were happy, and he knew it. Abruptly ended the tour, took our ear buds and left…didn’t even wait for a tip… The tour advertised had specific sites which we did not see. I would not recommend this tour, nor this group.
The tour guide was brilliant. She was informative, clear about her topics, great English, excited about the history.
We booked the walking tour for our first day in Florence to hopefully get an idea of what around the city we would want to explore further. Our tour guide was not very informative and it felt very rushed. It was basically an hour stroll you can do on your own if anyone you’ve ever known has been here 5 minutes longer than you have
Chiara was awesome! Knowledgeable and funny. We really enjoyed our tour and felt like we had a good lay of the land afterward. Also had several good recommendations for restaurants and cafes by the end of the tour!
The tour was well organized and timely. Our tour lead was very informative and included some out of the way spots
The guide, Julia, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Florence and the history. I loved the entire walk but wanted to cover more of Florence and hear so much more.
I got to learn so much on this tour! She had amazing insights and some insider tips of what to do and not do, whats overpriced and what’s great that locals love. All with a fantastic attitude and vibe. It’s a perfect “starter” tour to give you a lay of the land and fall in love with Florence.
Our semi private group ended up just being the two of us and our guide, Sylvia. We had such a fabulous time walking the streets of Florence with her! She is a wealth of knowledge, and such a kind, happy spirit! Thank you so much, Sylvia! We highly recommend this tour, and our guide!
We very much enjoyed our small group walking tour and our guide was easy to understand and since our group was so small she was able to tailor the tour to our specific interests and answer questions as well as take us to some of the lesser known less touristy sites along the way! We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a quick and easy tour with the history of Florence you might miss if doing it on your own!
Unfortunately, didn’t learn much. Our guide talked a lot about stories and some history, but mostly irrelevant things. Spoke very soft and spoke too much. We didn’t cover much ground because she rambled too much. We did English tour, but guide was German so accent in English was sometimes hard to get. Just wasn’t what we thought and she went 40-45 minutes over. Too much detail
Great tour with Luigi- with little surprises along the way. I love the facts and interesting stories of Florence and its history.
Our guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable- however- since it was so difficult to understand him, we did not complete the tour.
Guide took us around parts of Florence and provided explanations on what we saw. Unfortunately the guide had a heavy accent and was difficult to undertand. He also took us through very crowded parts of the city which made the tour feel hectic and less enjoyable.
Great walking tour of Florence. We started at the Duomo. Walking to the Ponte Vecchio, we received history of the Medici influence on the city. We walked past the Uffizi to City Hall. Our guide gave us tips on other sites to seek out on our own.
Kevin was full of life & passion for his city and it’s fascinating history. Great walking tour with actually very little walking.
On behalf of my Australian parents, thank you to Eduardo for a wonderful tour. He was easy to listen to and very passionate about the history of Florence.
Our guide had extensive knowledge about the history of the area. He walked at a good pace, despite the crowds and answered all our questions.
Our Italian guide spoke reasonable English and was very knowledgeable, but it was information overload regarding dates and historical families and figures. We just wanted to know what the main attractions were and which were worth a subsequent visit. Our party consisted of just one other couple, which was probably just as well since everyone’s radio receivers stopped working about 20 minutes into the tour. Probably a problem with the guide’s transmitter, but had it been a large party, it would’ve been difficult., probably impossible, to hear. So in all, rather disappointed given the cost.
Great service, all the ladies have been really helpful, Francesca and Zinep were wonderful. I suggest everybody to take tours here and their assistance
Our guide was personable, knowledgeable, and was able to (somewhat) customize the route to best suit our interests. Since the other people did not show up, my husband and I got a private walking tour! This helped us get the lay of the land on our 1st day in Florence. We even “bumped” into each other the next day and were greeted warmly and with smiles! Would recommend!
We had a tour of Florence with Julia - she was one of the best tour guides we ever had. So easy to listen to and knowledgable about the city. We enjoyed this tour so much and would highly recommend!
Our tour guide did an excellent job of educating us about the history of Florence while continuing to move along. We were not standing in one place for too long. The 90 minutes was a good amount of time to be structured in a tour.
The guide was insightful and easy to understand. She was friendly and professional. The tour was a great orientation to the city.
This was a great tour for our first day in Florence. It was a nice overview of the city and our tour guide did a great job. She was very knowledgeabe and informative.
Marco provided an excellent tour in a manner easy to understand, taking us to the major tourist sites as well as others that were less well known.
Emmanuel was a wealth of knowledge and information. We were amazed at how much there was to see and learn about in such a condensed area in Florence!! We highly recommend this tour.
Good indepth discussion of art and related to the history of florence and renaissance but did not connect well with the adience lacking opportunity to be interactive.
Our Guide (Manuela) was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Shd showedall the primary sites, such as the Ponte Vecchio and the Medici's palaces and provided lots of unknown info on Firenza's history and development. Great tour and well worth it.
Great guide who had a really good attitude considering it was pouring rain. Very knowledgeable and enjoyed it.
Excellent tour to get to know the city. Julia, our tour guide, explained very well and told us interesting stories. We are a family with two teens and both enjoyed learning from Julia.
I have been to Florence many times and thought I knew a lot about my favorite city. I was wrong! Daniele was so informative, inclusive and engaging!! I learned so very much and LOVED every minute of the tour! Jean
