The Roman Amphytheater is an attraction, a piece of roman history where still today the local government arranges music concerts and shows, especially in summer. We will have a quick view from the panoramic spot ideal for take a photo.
A visit in the oldest company of Alabaster production, they have also a lab where they do a free demonstration of craftsmanship.
The main square in Volterra where is the Priory Palace and the tower framed in the movie Twilight. In the opposite side you have the Cathedral. From here you can start your visit in the historic part of the village.
Called wrongly from the foreigners Tuscany (in italian Toscana) we drive across the Chianti countryside (this is the real name! Tuscany is not only that part but the entire region) land of wine, olive oil and good food...and, if you like, we can arrange a lunch with wine tasting, or a wine tasting without lunch. Food and drinks are not included in the price of the tours.

We had the most fantastic time with our driver Giuliano! He was so kind, funny , and knowledgeable about this region of Tuscany. We had an amazing lunch and wine tasting at a family owned winery with spectacular views in between our visits to Volterra and San Gimignano. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was seamless. This was our favorite activity during our time in Florence!
Giuliano was wonderful!!! We had the best day! He picked us up right at the ship and planned an amazing day to Volterra and then to San Gimignano. He took us to one of his favorite restaurants and then to a beautiful vineyard that has been run by the same family since the 1600’s. Definitely a must if you don’t want to ride with 100 people on a bus!
My husband and I visited Italy for our honeymoon and this was probably our favorite activity we did! We stayed in Pisa and were picked up by the most amazing driver/guide, Giuliano! He introduced me to my first pistachio croissant and I was fully addicted the rest of our trip. I loved learning about what it's liked to live there and other fun facts you probably wouldn't learn on a typical walking tour. He is also an amazing singer :) Volterra and San Gimagnano were both beautiful towns and not crowded at all compared to the larger cities, which was a nice change of pace. They are also smaller enough where you don't feel rushed visiting both in one day. Also, if you have the opportunity to get lunch at a vineyard between the two towns, you HAVE to! The views were incredible and so was the wine. If we're ever back in Italy, we'll definitely book an activity with through this company and hopefully with Giuliano again!
Beautiful day in the countryside of Tuscany. Our driver Guliano was prompt, driving a clean comfortable van. He provided us with lots of information, and was kind, funny, and considerate throughout. We enjoyed va detour to see opera singer Andre Bocelli's hometown and summer concert venue. Definitely agree to pay extra for the wine tasting and lunch. Truly special!
The driver was super polite and careful ! He told us all the local legends and stories about the regions we visited. In addition, the driver mentioned to us which places are good for visiting/eating. In some places we even got discounts because people knew him. I would highly recommend this trip !
We came to Livorno on an NCL cruise. My husband booked for the 5 of us to take a tour and it was fabulous!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Make My Day. We arrived Livorno by cruise ship and Giuliano was waiting for us nice and early at the port. It was super easy to find him and we didn't have any problem communicating with him prior to the trip. The car was comfortable, very clean and Giuliano kept us entertain throughout the journey to Siena by giving us info and interesting things about the Tuscany area. Once we finished visiting Siena we were taken to a nice winery for waste tasting and lunch, which my family enjoyed very much! We then visited San Gimignano in the afternoon and it was such a beautiful place. Giuliano got us back to the port in good time and we found the whole experience very pleasant. I would highly recommend booking shore excursion with Make My Day In Italy as it was such good value and you won't be disappointed.
I booked this trip independently of the cruise line, and it was a perfect day! Giuliano picked us up at the terminal with no problem. We drove to Volterra, and were practically there alone in the beautiful walled city. We did a brief tour of the Rossi Alabastri studio and shop, with a marvelous demonstration was great. We did buy a few things that were small enough to pack. Then we walked around Volterra, which for those of you who don't know, means you are safe from vampires in this town. Guiliano pointed us in the direction of a beautiful vantage point, which we would have surely missed. It overlooked the rolling hills of Tuscany. The weather was cloudy with bits of rain, but it was still lovely. Then we went a short distance to a small privately owned winery- Corbucci, which was an optional stop during the booking process. I would highly recommend it. The lunch was delicious and the introduction with tasting of the wines was memorable. San Gimigniano was last stop. Very unique Tuscan town. It is featured in several films, and did not disappoint. Guillano was an excellent tour guide, providing history and information along the way. It was a pleasure to be his first tour of the 2025 season!! thank you

We had a fun day exploring Tuscany with our private driver Guliano, and experiencing the best of the countryside. We were given the chance to have lunch at a beautiful family farm near San Gimignano, which was the highlight of the trip. We especially enjoyed Volterra, as it is much less touristy than much of Tuscany. Guliano has a lovely car and speaks very good English, and was very proud to show off his home.
Giuliano was fantastic! We had fun in the van between stops learning more about the towns and Italian culture. He is such a positive, warm guide. Our hosts for wine-tasting/ lunch were wonderful and enriched our day.

We could not have asked for a better day with Gio. It was a perfect way to spend time as a family. Gio took me my wife and our three older boys (all in their 20s) to several towns outside of Florence culminating in a visit to San Gimignano. He is an excellent guide and companion as we navigated the beautiful Chianti region. We all felt very much at ease with Gio and he provided a fun, relaxing, and educational experience for us all. I would recommend him to any and all travelers wanting an enjoyable day trip out of Florence.

Called them that morning and they found a way to fit in our family of 6. After talking for a few minutes when he picked us up at the hotel he came up with a plan for a great afternoon. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Clean van, safe driver and gave us enough info to keep us engaged but not so much to overwhelm us.

Giuliano was a very nice man. He's from Livorno, a beautiful coastal city! I went to the theater there to perform, and then I took three days off. He is my Airbnb landlord and during the chat I learned that he is a tour guide in Tuscany. So I decided to ask him to take me to a nice place. So we did a couple of trips in Tuscany! It's really, really good. He is very professional, the local guides are still the most familiar with the local environment and the prices are fair! It is highly recommended.
