Our guide Caterina was superb! She provided us an incredible education in the Medici family art collection and provided such detailed insights into the Michelangelo and Bottocelli paintings. Don’t miss this tour!

We were a small family group of four. We were met on time and we entered very smoothly as the queues for un booked tickets was huge, Our guide was Mary. She certainly knew her subjects and gave clear and interesting insights into many of the art works. We liked the way she used her IPad to highlight minute detail that we would have definitely missed. Mary is a credit to her company and we highly recommended her. If you get her you will be very fortunate.
Very disappointingly, we didn’t get to go on this tour. Apparently you are not aware of this. The tour was canceled 90 minutes before the start time.😥 With such late notice, we had no other way to experience the Uffizi Gallery. The reason for the cancelation was supposedly that it was out of tourist season and we we were the only people who had booked the tour. This is impossible to believe since Florence was packed! Furthermore, we met another couple in the morning who were going on the same tour. I would rather have been told that the tour had to be canceled due to some personal issue on the part of the tour operator. The excuse given was implausible. Even if only 2 people book for a tour (which was not the case), it should still be operated. Canceling only 90 minutes ahead of time is poor business practice. Despite our disappointment at missing out on seeing the Uffizi masterpieces, we loved Florence and did not let this unfortunate cancelation dampen our spirits. Additionally, I sent TripAdvisor a question about the tour the night before it was supposed to take place but I received no response - also disappointing.
Our tour guide Silva was great. She was prompt, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The background and provenance of the art was fascinating and transformed our experience from one of simple awe to an art appreciation / information experience. We highly recommend this tour
The guide was very knowledgeable. She helped us understand the art and the progression of art through the ages. This guide made a crowded museum more of a happy experience.
Signed up due to reviews with Elvis. We did not have Elvis as our guide - even though it stated that we did. The sound quality was terrible… the English was difficult to understand at times… I was glad that I read a lot before going. The tour was okay…. Just OK.
Skip the lines, go right to the artworks, hear the history of the place , people and immerse yourself into the times. Guides are the best way to get the most out of the experience. Our guide was a subject matter expert in all those topics.
Excellent Tour with our Guide Katharina. Very symphatic and very informative. She gave us a lot of intersting informations. Tour took 90 minutes and was never boring. Very good organised. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Guide www enthusiastic and knowledgeable but hard to understand. She kept letting her microphone drop- which was frustrating for one in our group that gas hearing problems. I did mention to her several times that we could not hear, but it became awkward after a while to constantly have to stop her and tell her to hold her mic to her mouth She also laughed after about every two sentences, which was a little frustrating We did have a great tour and appreciated the background info
The meeting spot for this tour was pretty vague. With a little asking around I was able to find the correct person-holding-clipboard-handing-out-tickets. Our tour guide was nice enough - her English was easy to understand. However, the pace was odd. We spent excessive time at a handful of paintings. I realize one guide can't cover everything or anticipate our interests... My husband literally took a nap on a bench in the hallway while my daughter and I stood in front of one painting for 20 minutes. The groups around us seemed to move at a more regular pace. I don't regret the booking - an art museum with a guide will always be better than without (for me).
Such a wonderful tour, Caterina was amazing, very knowledgeable, funny and kind. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
Cancelled last minute. Unable to visit the gallery. Reason given was Sunday tickets are free. The guide would have known this in advance, taking bookings is sharp practice.
Quality tour, from Elvis himself. Can't recommend highly enough. Being guided through medieval art to the Renaissance was very interesting. See Michaelangelo's only painting and other stunning works by the masters.
Amazing guide who was so passionate about the gallery and the art within it. She was very patient with us (including a very inquisitive 11 year old).
Today I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the Uffizi in Florence and I was completely fascinated from experience. The tour was well organized and led by an expert guide who made the visit even more interesting and engaging. The Uffizi is a true treasure of art, with extraordinary works by artists of the caliber of Botticelli, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. The guide accompanied us through the different rooms, providing detailed explanations on the works and the historical context in which they were created. It was truly exciting to see masterpieces such as "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli and "La Primavera" live.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, carrying out the visit with enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge. Thanks to his detailed and engaging explanations, I was able to better understand the historical importance of Renaissance and Botticelli's influence on the art and culture of the time. During the visit, the guide was able to highlight Botticelli's most significant works present in the Uffizi, such as the famous "Birth of Venus" and "Spring". Through her words, I was able to grasp the beauty and depth of these works of art, appreciating the details and Botticelli's mastery in representing female beauty and mythological themes.
The tour guide, Victoria, was fantastic!! Knowledgeable and personable! We loved her! If I was rating just her, she’d be 5 stars!!!! What I didn’t like was the surprise extra $60 euros we had to pay for the headsets! $29 each. That was not ok!
The tour guide was very friendly and nice. Everything was on time and easy to find the meeting point. However when I booked I didn’t realize that we had to pay extra for the tickets. In all the other bookings I had done the ticket was included. Also they only accept cash.
Caterina with Elvis Tours was the best museum guide I’ve ever had. Great mix between information and intrigue. Very friendly, not overly talkative
"Stepping into the Uffizi Gallery felt like stepping into a time capsule of artistic brilliance. The collection of paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts is nothing short of breathtaking. Gazing at Michelangelo's 'Tondo Doni' or Raphael's 'Madonna of the Goldfinch' filled me with a sense of wonder and appreciation for the talent of these masters. The attention to detail in each artwork is remarkable, inviting you to linger and soak in every brushstroke. The gallery's layout is thoughtfully designed, leading visitors on a journey through art history that is both educational and awe-inspiring."
"The Uffizi Gallery is an unparalleled journey through the evolution of art history. As I walked through its halls, I was captivated by the diverse range of masterpieces on display. From the ethereal beauty of Botticelli's 'The Birth of Venus' to the intricate details of Leonardo da Vinci's sketches, each artwork told a story of its own. The gallery's architecture itself is a work of art, with majestic corridors and stunning views of the Arno River. A visit to the Uffizi is not just a visit to a museum; it's a transformative experience that immerses you in the depths of human creativity."
Caterina was knowledgeable, patient and professional - she succeeded in pitching her presentation at exactly the appropriate level and made our visit to the Uffizi Gallery one of the highlights of our trip.
Our guide , Victoria, greeted us outside the Uffizi by the main ticket line . This was a bit confusing at first given the general chaos in the area with a huge number of people queuing for tickets etc . It would have been helpful if she had a small sign indicating her tour as there are many gathering and departing from the area. Victoria is a true gem of a tour leader . She took the time to quickly memorize the names of our group of 9 and get the tour underway. As expected the gallery was jammed with tourists but we knew that would be the case . Certainly the crowds detract , but Victoria as an experienced guide did her best to manage the group within very crowded gallery spaces . I particularly liked her approach of focusing on 15 to 20 pieces in the gallery rather than rushing through an impossibly large set of galleries . She is a wealth of knowledge about the art she selected and her passion for art history shines through . In particular she is knowledgeable about Leonardo da Vinci who comes from the same area as her west of Florence . Overall , we enjoyed the tour and stimulated us to learn more . We took the time after the tour to engage with Victoria for a few moments and she was gracious and forthcoming . Good value for the time and money spent.
Hour and a half is obviously not long enough to see everything what Uffizi has to offer, but this is a very informative, interesting and professionally done tour. Avoiding the queue is an extra bonus. We would definitely recommend it.
Our guide was exceptional! I learned so much and it was far better than going it alone. I would highly recommend the guided tour.
Well organised and informative guide. Interesting insights into some famous works. I would definitely recommend this tour
Caterina was an informed guide who imparted some wonderful anecdotes about works of art clearly and with humor
Terrible tour. Note the price of the ticket (€30 is not included). Overpriced and the tour guide would stop at each painting for 5 minutes and discuss every detail in minutia. We ended up leaving and viewing the museum on our own, because it was so boring. The tours are a scam in Florence. Tour operators buy up all the tickets in advance, so you can’t buy tickets on your own, and you’re forced to pay 2-3x the entry ticket price through them.
Well educated guides, spoke clearly, were entertaining and passionate about their history and the tour.
The art itself was awesome. The guide, however, spent way too much time on just a few pieces. We would have preferred to see many more pieces with the guide spending less time going on and on about a few pieces.
Best tour guide in town. Loved the whole experience and i would strongly recommend. Elvis is very well prepared and knows the facts.
Easy admission and very informative. Guides English was slightly difficult to understand. Her voice didn’t project enough.
1.5h cliff note version of Uffici Gallery. No waiting in lines. See only very important pieces of art.
This guided tour was was fantastic and very informative. We couldn’t have been able to get all the details on our own. The group was small so it felt personal
Elvis was extremely knowledgeable and very witty. He showed us the most relevant exhibits. He kept us captivated with his knowledge.
Our guide was amazing! Clearly an artist and historian along with the ability to explain to the lay person the importance of the art and gallery. Highly recommended. Took of a family of five who were all very engaged because of the guide.
Interesting tour and good selection of the art pieces described. Guide not very lively and sometimes hard to flow
Rosa was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly too. She showed us unique insight about the various artworks. Great tour!
Short and sweet. We hit all of the highlights. Some initial confusion about actually securing the tickets to enter the museum. Apparently they are not included in the price for the tour. But our guide was fantastic! Would recommend to anyone visit Uffizi for the first time.
Elvis did our skip the line tour. He is passionate and really knows his history. I learned so much more with a guide than if I had wandered around on my own. The pricing is odd and not completely clear that you pay on line but then still pay cash when you get there. Just be aware you pay on line for the tour but need to pay cash to tour guide on top of that for entrance into the gallery. Despite the confusion on that it is definitely worth every Penny if you want to actually learn history and look at paintings in a whole different light.
A really nice and educational tour which showed the most important pieces of art in the Uffizi gallery
The ticket you buy is only for the guided tour and it is not a problem if it is explicitly stated on the definition. Make it clear that you have to pay for your tickets a plus $29 Euros. Our guided was not engaging, and if you are interested in the sculptures too, skip this tour. It is only about the painting.
Elvis didn't lead our tour, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Vanessa was knowledgeable, personable and patient. She provided knowledge about the Medici and the artists and made the paintings come alive for us. I highly recommend seeing the gallery with a guide.
We went together as a family (my Husband, Mother and Father) and Elvis was there to meet us and delegate everything right on schedule. Because our group was so large, due to the well-deserved success of his hard work, passion and knowledge we were subdivided and our tour guide was Vittoria. She was WONDERFUL, extremely knowledgeable, kind, warm and comfortable. She used some subtle humor, but it was never for canned laughter, and was genuinely passionate about the work, as well as deeply empathetic for the artists as people and conveyed the humanity and genius of the work beautifully. She was truly a joy to be with and the 3 hours flew by. The tour itself is the greatest hits of the Uffizi, very streamlines and specific - the 3 Madonnas, Fillipo Lippi, Botticelli, Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael as well as information on the galleries, frescoes and facades that you pass through. When the tour is concluded you may tour and double back on the work at your own pace and leisure. This tour may be difficult for those who are disabled, as the elevators in the main hall were under construction, but there are stairs only leading up to the main floor, if those are navigable for everyone in your party. We highly recommend this tour for those who have a love of beauty and art and want to delve into the thought of the time as well as artistic practices and thought that developed in this time of history. Brava!
Guide Elvis Made the Art and Gallery of Uffizi come to life with the stories of Art’s progress and the hot gossip intrigue behind the paintings and artists who painted them ( and themselves into them)!
We had a very knowledgeable and nice tour guide, a German woman that spoke english whose name I don't recall unfortunately. She had great perspectives on the works and historical context that wouldn't be seen or known just by standing in front of a painting or reading the description. I am glad my wife and I were able to go to the Uffizi for the first time while hearing her perspective on the works.
Elvis was our guide for the Uffizi - and no, he was not dressed like Elvis, his mother named him that because she loved the musician. Elvis was extremely knowledgeable and led us on a tour through art history. He spent time on pivotal art and artists to show us the evolution of art through the Renaissance, weaving it together in a story. We thoroughly enjoyed the small group setting and headset tour and learned so much more than if we had gone on our own.
The tour of the Uffizi Gallery, today, was my second tour with Elvis Florence Tours. Again, I am left without hesitation to strongly recommend that this is the best tour company to give you the real quality experience of what a guided tour of Florence’s attractions should be. You can be sure that you will leave the tour feeling that you were a part of the times and the artists who created the masterpieces. Our tour guide, Marine, detailed the most interesting points and was able to relate the times and the artists in a way that made it more meaningful and memorable. Marine knows are history and conveys it in her enjoyable presentation so that it seemed to pick up the highlights of the piece and the feelings of the artists who created each one. I felt free to ask questions but Marine took the time to point out the unique style of the period as well as the artist. I learned so much from this tour and it was because Marine was able point out the history, style and unique talent of each artist whose work was on display in the Uffizi Gallery. Like my past experience with an Elvis tour, I was able to lose myself in the time and the people who influenced and created the masterpieces. Marine’s knowledge of art history and her love for what she does made the tour come alive for me. She is a credit to the tour company. Two tours with this company and both better than any I’ve experienced with other companies, in the past. Can’t wait to do a third. Strongly recommend Elvis Florence Tours.
Amazing tour, which I highly recommend. we did both the 'David' and the 'Uffizi' tours with Elvis. He is a great story teller and used humour.
Rosa was great ! Knowledgeable about art history and engaging the visitors with her enthusiasm, Rosa was a delightful leader of our tour. We would very highly recommend her to any visitors to Florence!
