Great day in Tuscany. The tour is so complete, driving was excellent and Leonardo is very kindly. Absolutely recommended:)

We couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Everything was fantastic, and a special mention goes to our tour guide, Leonardo, who did an outstanding job. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. You could really tell he was passionate about what he does! The tour was a highlight of our trip, and we would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience. If you’re considering booking, don’t hesitate, it’s absolutely worth it! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
One of the best tours we ever had. Leonardo did amazing job
Fantastic tour. We got to see all three towns on my list and visited two wineries Included lunch at the first winery. Marco, our guide was knowledgeable, funny and very personable. He had a tremendous knowledge of the Tuscan valley. I highly recommend this tour and Marco as guide. Bravo!
After accidentally leaving our drivers license in Rome and seeing how challenging it would be to drive in Siena we pivoted and booked a tour with Marco. We are a 27 year old daughter and 55 year old mother first time visitors to Italy. The tour more than exceeded our expectations. The meet up spot was easy to find, our tour guide Marco was enthusiastic and super organized and knowledgeable and did a great job keeping our large group of 50 on a schedule. The visits were quick but lengthy enough to get a taste for each city and the views were fantastic. The bus was comfortable and our driver very safe. The tasting locations and lunch was meaningful at two historical wineries. I would definitely do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks Marco for a fabulous day creating life long memories with my daughter.
the experience was 10/10 the staff was amazing and the guider called marco informed us about everything and created a beautiful trip for our memories.
I had a wonderful experience. Sofia met us on time and at the designated meeting place. We embarked quickly with a full bus. Sofia pointed out interesting sights in English and Spanish. She was very attentive when dealing with an emergency. She was very attentive to dietary restrictions. She was friendly and had a pleasant personality. Everything ran smoothly. I was happy with the wine tasting and lunch at montepulciano. There was ample free time in pienza and the wine tasting in Montelcino was picturesque and memorable. The trip lasted 8.5 hours as advertised. Alberto navigated the journey with finesse!!
Small group in this case meant about 25 people in a mini-bus (not a van). Not mentioned was the extra TWO HOURS spent from Florence to go pickup and drop off more guests from Siena. Our guide was friendly. The stop in montepulciano included free time to walk around near the drop off point (not a ton to see or do) and then a very nice lunch and samples of 2 wines. The stop in Pienza was lovely and we had about an hour to walk around and enough the Tuscany views and do some local shopping for pecorino. The final stop in Montalcino isn’t really in Montalcino it’s a winery that grows in Montalcino- a small snack and 3 wine samples. All in all it’s a good tour if you have many days in Florence and have already been to Chianti trail, but I wouldn’t suggest it if you only have a short time in Florence. ( hey if you’re staying in Siena your day stuck on a bus is 2hrs shorter!)
If you like wine, history, and beautiful landscapes, this is a tour for you. We visited Montepulciano, Pinza and stop in two wineries for wine tasting. The route through Tuscany was amazing. Great experience. Highly recommended. Our guide Luca was great!
Great Experience, Alessa, Andrea and the driver Michel did an excellent job, thank you for the experience, and suggestions
Loved this trip so much! It was beyond beautiful! Tuscany is breathtaking and the wines were very good! Definitely recommend! The driver was very kind as well.
Excellent excursion to Tuscany for wine tasting and exploring beautiful castle villages of Montepulciano and Pienza. Stunning Tuscan countryside. The Talosa vineyard was especially fantastic. The most excellent cheese and wine!! Our tour guides, Fabritzi, was great as well! I highly recommend this tour.
The trip was fantastic! Our guide Marta was entertaining and knowledgeable as we toured parts of Tuscany. The scenery was gorgeous and the wine was delicious. Giovanni our tour driver was great and we felt safe on the twisty roads.
this turned out to be with a small group via van. Daniel, our driver guide dropped us off very close to the center of the town which made the quality of the experience the best
Very untrustworthy Not professional We paid for a wine tour with food and to visit two towns. We headed to one winery, then after words between the driver Ricardo and Leyla the driver turned around in someone’s yard and headed to another winery. No explanation to the 20 guests on the bus. We visited one winery went to Montepulciano around 12:30 where all other tour guests were told to have lunch while in the town as they didn’t pay for the included lunch. My husband and I who had paid €60 euro to have lunch were told to wait until the next town which we were told would be around 3:30pm to have lunch. We expressed our unhappiness with this and after a bit of mess around were advised in an email that My Italy Tours (the tour operator) would refund the money back to our card. We proceeded with the tour and went to the next town. When we were picked up from this town we were told we were now heading home. I asked about the second winery and Leyla told the group that this is what she was told to do and we would have to speak to the tour operator. Other guests were also unhappy we were not visiting the se on winery. I emailed them on the way home and have never had a response to this. They did however pull down this tour from their website while I was following up the next day with a phone call. No resolution to date. Also after 15 days I still do not have my refund for the 60 euro lunch. I will continue to chase them. Don’t trust My Italy Tours.
The Trip description is misleading. Firstly, we were not informed that many passengers would be picked up on the way from Pisa, and then they would be dropped first before leaving the Florence passengers. The pick up point of this tour at Florence is very far. Also, the pictures in viator are misleading. While it was said that the tour would be through winery at Montalcino, and with picture of Mario at his wineyard, we were instead taken to wine storage cellar at Montalpulciano. The tour guide herself stated that these pictures are old and not what they do.
It was the worst tour I've ever been on. It gives you the impression that it'll be a relaxing day of tastings but we spent more time in the car with a guide who has limited English skills. The van we rode in wasn't comfortable, the driver missed an exit because he and the guide we're chatting (or he was on the phone) and the guide didn't have any recommendations on where to go for tastings on our own. The description also didn't mention that there's a lot of walking uphill so I didn't wear the right shoes for it. If I knew this was how it was going to be, I would have gone with another tour. You're basically only paying for one tasting and a ride to different small towns. For that price, I could've arranged my own transportation because there was no benefit having a guide. He was also the last person we had to wait for on one stop. What a joke!
We were in a small group so we were in a van instead of a big bus which allowed the guide Daniel to stop at places we couldn't have on a bus. We stopped at an overlook of Siena, went to a wine tasting/tour at Montalcino, stopped at a beautiful overlook of Val d'orcia, spent free time in Pienza, and then some more free time in Montepulciano. The wine tasting was great. The town of Pienza is just about the cutest town I've ever seen, and the views from Montepulciano were breathtaking. Well worth taking the tour.
This was an amazing tour! We were able to see multiple unique towns in the Val d'Orcia and try delicious wine and food. Our guide provided great information and stories throughout our day. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is interested in exploring Tuscany without the need to rent a car (or wander around somewhat lost).
It was one of the greatest experiences in my life. The tour was guided by Alberto (speaks Italian, Spanish and English) and Luciano (speaks Italian, English and Portuguese). We had great explanations about every place and amazing views of each one.
Well planned trip.our guide Alberto was helpul in every way and took good care of us.Tuscany is worth visiting
The tour was well organised our guide Roberto was helpful and took good care of us all. The landscapes were breathtaking.worth going.
We were fortunate to have Alberto as our guide. We could tell he loved showing people these amazing towns. Everything ran on time and we highly recommend this tour with Alberto.
Excellent presentation and valuable information, lovely locale, great "pick food" while tasting the wines and balsamic vinegar. Learned new details about wines. Also learned how to distinguish classic chianti.
alberto was great! he really excel at helping everyone. expect a long day, but well worth it! the winery was awwsome, Brunello de Montalcino is now my favorite wine!
Long day made even longer by having to pick up and drop off people in Siena. The guide was really good; he tried really hard to make it a great experience for everyone. I forget his name though (tall, thin, dark hair-used to be an investment banker)
The visit was nice, the meal and wine sampling was also very nice, would of like more of a tour, of the working of the vineyard, and less on up selling there product.
Alberto is a great guy - plenty of energy and patience! Nice and easy tour... spectaculars scenarios! #tuscany
Gulia was an amzing tour leader very helpful and very informative .And about the tours was nice and wine tasting was amazing
We woke up at 6 to get to Florence in time for the bus, the tour started by 11am which was an older man that only spoke Italian. He read the bottles of wine and then poured amongst 30-50 people. The tour guide translated what he said, but was on her phone and not translating word for word what the man was saying. Essentially, there was no explanation for how the wine was made or anything. It was just a wine tasting plane and simple. After 30 minutes of the wine tour, we were taken to 2 dead quiet suburbs to explore which took 1he to get to and then we stayed in the dead zone for 1.5 hrs with nothing to do. We left early, it was a waste of money, not recommended for people seeking an “experience”. More suited for single travelers who want to make new friends. It’s not really a wine experience.
We received very good information on wine, like differences in quality and how to read labels on bottles.
I had a perfect day with My Tour in Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano. The guides were very helpful in special Rafael, who is brazilian and gave a dedicated atention for the brazilian guests in the group. The timing of the tour was perfect and the landscapes awsome!
Today my husband and I went on this tour, it was amazing. The guide Alberto was fantastic he was very knowledgeable, funny and a lovely guy. I would highly recommend this tour, It is a long day but well worth it 👍😀
Alberto,Gustavo and Adrian were really good "hosts" and were taking care of us during the trip. The visits of the towns are self guided,so you have the option to organize the time as you prefer. The information that the guide provides until you reach the destination is general,so if you want to know more about a place, you have to do your homework in advance. If you are intrested in wines, the winery visit is intresting and it ends up with a wine tasting and some small appetizers. The views of Val D'Orcia are breathtaking. This tour is a good option for those who don't drive but want to discover the beauty of Tuscany.
Alberto and Claudia were our guides and made the day. Alberto spoke good English and Spanish so no issues with understanding. This tour is a gem. Our tour was only half full so the bus was spacious and air conditioned. The stopover at the Brunello winery was quaint and due to the smaller group the cheese and salami tasting was more than generous. Wear comfortable shoes as there is some stair climbing to reach the central piazza at Montepulciano but it’s so worth the effort.
Location to connect with my tour - Easy to find location if you learn to use Trams - Used T1 from Florence SMN going towards Villa Constanza - got down Porta Al Prato - and the pickup was diagonally opposite — Checkin - Smooth and Fast. — Tour Guides & Tour - 1. We had literally a united nation traveling with us so there were tour details explained in multiple languages - 2. Serena who guided us in English was knowledgeable and helpful 3. Tour started in Montalcino winery - excellent options of wine tasting - sadly we were given just a 15 mins break in Montalcino 4. Next stop was Pienza - I would have liked to bypass that town altogether as found it very ordinary - wish we had more time in Montalcino - Pienza was a longer break as it was also a lunch stop 4. Montepulciano is as breathtaking as described and we reached there in the later part of the afternoon - the time given passed really fast - as there is just plenty to see - Montepulciano is definitely a no no for any one with issues in walking - as every lane is a steep climb up or down - and yes it is very easy to get lost here.
I booked this tour on Saturday, 20 July 2019, with the company "mytours. . I rated it with 1 star, but if I could I would gave rated it with 0 stars. Such a waste of time and money!!! To begin with, the bus made a detour to Siena to take on board some more passengers. That was NOT CLEARLY MENTIONED in the programme. The detour made us waste a lot of our precious time. Second, the stop to the winery took such a lot of time, the guides did not give us one hour, as they did with the stops to the 3 towns. The visit to the winery was relaxing, as if we had all the time of the world. That was the main purpose of the trip? To buy the wines? Or to see Val d'Orcia? Third, the guide, Ana, did not provide enough information. She had a notebook in which she wrote a few lines and read from it. Apart from that, when she was asked why was the Medici coat of arms on the castle in Montalcino, she answered that it was build by a Medici, and when asked by whom, her answer was "I don't know, the Medici family was very big". That is unacceptable from a professional guide. In addition, in Pienza there was a palazzo, palazzo Piccolomini, which was used in Franco Zeffirelli's film "Romeo and Juliet".There was an exhibition, called "What is a youth", with costumes from the movie, music and photos of the set and of the scenes which were placed in the rooms where the film was made. I asked the guide why there are photos of the "Romeo and Juliet" film in this building? And both guides told me "because a scene was filmed there". They had no idea of the exhibition!!! And of course when I found out about the exhibition it was too late because we had only 1 hour in Pienza!! Moreover, in Montalcino (in which we were from 13.20 until 14.20, at lunchtime, we were "advised" not to eat, because in our next stop, in Pienza, we would have more choices as it was a bigger town. It turned out that it was very far from truth: not only Pienza did not have more options, but it was a trick because when we arrived in Pienza the guides told us that there is a fine place in which we can taste pecorino and eat sandwich for €4. Obviously for their agency to get commission in our purchases. We were advised to stay hungry until 15.00 just to eat a sandwich!!! Not to mention that the claim by two other girls to stop somewhere for taking pictures (Val d'Orcia is breathtakingly beautiful) was completely ignored. Last, but not least, the driver, Agostino, was obviousy not familiar with the roads, and he also had a notebook with indications for the roads. He did not know from where to go, and the guide, Ana, was constantly saying to him "straight/left/right, etc). I was very disappointed by this tour. I feel it was a complete waste of my time and money.
But the girl doing her Instagram updates during the whole tour was annoying. "Hey guys, It's day three....wait, let me tug on my top. Hey guys, it's day three....." Otherwise, a good tour. Montepulciano was well worth the whole day.
Travelled early May 2019. Firstly the bus was late. It was a double decker. Everyone ended up on the bottom because the air-con was broken. They did their best to say it would cool down eventually but it did not. I think they know from the start. If you check other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing problem. Bus diverted about 1.5 hours to pick up passenger at Siena. This was not on the Itinerary and was strictly to put more paying bums on seats at inconvenience to the Florence passengers who did not sign up to go to Sienna. I expected the tour guide to have (given the tour was supposed to be in English) better English skills. I suppose it does not make a difference and she did not care. I know it was a wine tour, but I asked as I could not drink, could I please have a soft drink or water. They disappeared at the tasting and out of desperation I got up wandered until I found the kitchen and got myself a drink of water. Dropped off in the villages, given a map, and essentially dumped. No information and another disappearing act. At the end of the tour, she actually had the gall to ask for a tip. Here is my tip; I booked through the Get Your Guide site, other trips I booked for them where fine, just make sure the trip you are booking is not "My Tours" Florence.
Well run tour. The good was getting a taste for three very distinctive Tuscan Hill towns and driving through an idyllic landscape. Only thing which was slightly irritating was the wine tour portion. It was conducted by a charming gentleman, but he spoke Italian, then the guide translated into English and Spanish and with a large party many couldn’t here. And that part dragged a bit. Wine good though. Maria managed everything excellently. And was very clear. Wish we had more time to explore each place. Nevertheless offers a great value.
We enjoyed the tour through Tuscany wine country. The ride was comfortable, and there was just enough time at each site. Beautiful vistas, cool towns, good wine!
We went on a wine tour through My Tours (booked through Musement) which included Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano without tour guide Edgar and driver Caño. We left from Florence and our first stop was in Montalcino where we went to the Abbadia Ardenga winery where we learned about the Brunello wine and tasted Montalcino and Brunello wines and had some delicious cheese, prosciutto and bread with olive oil. We then went to the town of Pienza where we had free time for lunch. Finally we went to Montepulciano. At each town, Edgar did a walking tour explaining the ins and outs of the town and then gave us free time to explore on our own. In Montepulciano we went into the shop of Ercolani wines and were amazed that it had a historic winery underground. It is a family owned winery and they maintained it in its original state. We went on a free tour inside the winery learning about the family and their wine, then we tasted 6 wines with a plethora of cheese, bread and meats. Their wines were absolutely amazing!
This was a good tour, however it could have been a great tour! We only did one wine tasting, thought we would have done more. The first stop was a great little winery and the tour and tasting was very informative and quite long. If it were shorter and a couple of other tastings were added I think it would have been more of what everyone was expecting. We visited the villages/towns of Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano but were just left on our own to explore, not much time in each place. It could have been a little more organized.
This was a simple bus ride! The AC in the bus broke, the “tour guide” told you no info. We went on two other tours prior to this one , with a different company... this one did not compare... if you are looking for a tour do not waste your money here
Expect your bus to be an hour late, your driver to get lost, multiple language groups combined on one bus but hardly any commentary from guide. Main guide, Edgar, appeared bored and tired of all the tourists. I asked for his recommendation about getting a quick bite to eat since we were so short on time in each village and a very arrogant response “this is just like any other place, but smaller, of course there are places to eat.” Wow! He didn’t forget to ask for tips multiple times though. Don’t waste your time and money on this one.
I really enjoy this tour, it was incredible, I love he small cities we visited and also the wine tasting. I want to highlight the job and kindness of Edgar, the guide, because he gave us excellent advices and was really nice. I highly recommend to do this tour.
lovely places, excellent local products, excellent wines. I would like to remind you of the great professionalism of our guide Serena. Your competent, serious and very informed
The guide and driver were amazing, the views from the different cities were stunning. However the winery tour was very disappointing. I appreciate the heritage of the winery however the entire tour seemed to be about the 87 year old man and his love of women. It was too long at this stop. The next city was amazing. The Pienza wine tasting wasn’t what Was expected. The owners of the deli were sweet but couldn’t even move and they still were making sandwiches for customers from the street (which were very tasty). The last stop was way too long with nothing to truly do other than a photo stop which I wouldn’t have wanted to miss. We got got around 7:30pm. It would have been great to cut the time at each stop down and maybe just add a quaint lunch at one of the cities.
I enjoyed the wineries, and the wine producers. However, it is misleading to say this was a tuscan wine and food, a little bit of bread and some salami, is not really what I was expecting. I wanted to love this tour, but the tour guide Luca was not as interesting as a tour guide. I felt he was reading the information to us, and not exactly creating an exciting event. I was not pleased at all that we had to stop in two extra places to pick up more passengers, and then on the way home had to drop them off and wait for them to be picked up. As I said the wineries, were wonderful, the places visited were beautiful, (Montalcine, Pienza, Montepulciano) but I would not recommend this tour. We took a Tuscan tour earlier that week and it was fabulous. Luca could learn a lot from Valentina on how to run a tour.
The only reason I didn't give this tour 5 stars is because it was a much bigger group than I expected and as a result we were delayed several times along the way. There were 50 people on this tour and we stopped at 3 locations to pick up people. There were also 4 different language translations happening during the day. Aside from that it was a great day. We visited 2 wineries and had free time in Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano. If you only have 1 day to spend in Tuscany this is a fantastic way to see a lot in one day. But be warned it is a very long day. If you are more interested in a wine tasting experience I would not suggest this tour because I imagine there are limited wineries that would accept our big tour group so while they were nice wineries the focus of this trip was more about seeing a lot of the region. Our tour leader Mara, was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the region.
