The audio guide that came with the tour was informative and added depth to the visit. We avoided the long line and the tour started at our appointed time.
Our guide Marta was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Having a private guide helped target what artwork we were most interested in but because of the timeline we needed to skip numerous works of art in the Uffizi Gallery.
This was a wonderful tour. Sadly, I cannot recall the name of our guide, but she was friendly, knowledgeable and she hit all the pertinent points in the Gallery. You are allowed to remain in the Gallery to wander at your leisure afterwards, but if you are tight for time, this tour is perfect. Recommend the café on the roof, good food, lovely views.
Tour went VERY in depth of some of the highlights of the Uffizi gallery- We had anticipated seeing more of the 2 museums with some interesting history shared throughout- however the guide went into such detail with a huge amount of background that we felt it was more of a school tour for an art history class
We had a lovely time our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. We got through the line very fast and up close to see all the Art/statutes.
Manuela was an incredible guide. Her enthusiasm, humor and knowledge of the material made the tour informative as well as entertaining. It was a very worthwhile tour.
Uffizi is great. Florence city tour were he
The museum is beautiful, our guide was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!!
Our guide was very informative and attentive to our small group. We were in the museum right away. 1.5 hours was not enough time. Should have booked a longer tour.
Such a wonderful collection of worldly possessions. We were only 4 people in the tour. Not sure if the audio system was bad (the worst sound of all of the excursions across Italy in 16 days) or the fact our guide had a very thick accent. She pinned the mic to her top and when she turned to face the artifact, it was impossible to understand anything about what we were looking at. It’s a great spot to experience the masterpieces of Italy. Sad that we really didn’t learn much given the challenges of the audio. One tip, ask your guides to hold the mic close to their face/mouth once inside the gallery.
The Uffizi gallery is great. The staff at City Florence Tours really helped me to set up the audio guide app and wifi, avoiding a lot of frustration.
Skip the line tickets are essential for a pleasant experience at the Uffizi. Our terrific guide, Vincent, was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. I learned a lot about Renaissance art that I hadn’t known before.
Wonderful. Much appreciated being able to skip the very long queue.
I booked the attraction for a specific time with an escorted entry into the gallery/museum. Whilst the staff at the tour office were amiable, we got no escort & had to join a significant queue to gain entry with museum staff having no interest that we had booked a timed entry. Not what was advertised!
Seamless streamlined process for booking at a great price on the day of entry. Staff in the office were delightful and exceptionally helpful. I recommend this company unreservedly!
There is so much to see at the Uffizi, I wish we could have spent all day there. The guide was very knowledgeable on the artists and paintings/sculptures, pointing out details we never would have noticed and giving information that put these famous masterpieces in a new light.
SKIP THE LINE - it's 💯 worth it!! You definitely don't need a guide there. Just walk around and explore. Skip the line saved me HOURS!
Our guide, Anna, was truly fantastic. She was very personable and accommodating. She was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions and provide additional context when needed. She was so friendly and it was evident that everyone in the places we visited (and even on the street while walking to our destinations) respected her and were fond of her. She was kind to everyone and just an absolute joy to spend time with. She was funny and very easygoing and made everyone in our small group feel accommodated and catered to.
Well informed guide. Good pace. Time for photos and information sharing. Best location for meeting as they had an office location rather than on the street.
Excellent tour and very informative.
The best way to see the museums and not get overwhelmed! Our tour guide, Mary, was so incredibly knowledgeable and I learned so much. It went a little longer than it was supposed to, as I think there was not enough time built in for bathroom breaks and/or slower walkers. Not having a guide would have made it so much harder to find the exhibits of most interest, and you'd be rushing so much without any context. It was definitely worth it to go with a guide.
City Florence Tours was a pleasure to deal with. We had a seamless experience with the timed visit so the pickup of tickets and entrance to the Uffizi was so easy and we saved a lot of time without spending a lot of money. Would recommend.
We had a fantastic private tour of the Uffizi and Academia. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable….and tailored the time we spent to our interests. Skipping the line was worth it. We never felt rushed and enjoyed all of the stories. Having a guide of our own to be able to ask questions was amazing. Highly recommend!
Fabulous visit with very good informative guide The meet up was easy and she chose certain things to look at and provide information about. We enjoyed the tour. Lunch on the terrace was a good break then we explored on our own.
The lady at the office was so kind. She took me to the entrance and told me exactly what to do wn I arrived
I haven’t realize that I need to take the ticket at the office. Happinessly, the office is near the museum. Perhap indicate in big letters this attention. The personnel in the office are very nice and helpfull.
Even with online booking, it remains a pain to get in : 4 different controles to pass through, needs about 30 min. You get your audio guide and climb a good hundred steps. Visit can start! Noooo. Your audio guide is broken you need to go down again to change it. And if you quit and start your visit without... Surprise surprise when you return it at the end : the staff refuses to reimburse the cost of the broken guide... Anyway, much too many people to be able to enjoy the visit. The text by the painting is written small and if you lean on them, the alarm starts because you are getting too near of the painting.
We were happy with the self guided option. There is so much to see. We found that there was plenty of information available. Skip the line was definitely worth it!
We booked for 4p. Stood in line for an hour without any structure or order in their entry system for Uffizi. Ticket voucher from the 3rd party showed 4:45p. Buyer beware!
This particular office that works for the website was not helpful and said said that they tried to get a hold of me when I had email showing that they had made contact so we waited in line for an hour with the hoops that their mistake didn’t cost us $200. Would never use this company again and would cancel anything I had associated with them..
We paid for “skip the line” and “escorted” entrance and “small group,” but we got none of the above. Had to wait like everybody else in a long line after walking to tour office to pick up tickets. Would not recommend premium ticket. Viator bills itself as a premium tour, but you get lumped in with all the run-of-the-mill services.
Got tickets but there was not an escort - we got through the line ok but other than picking up a ticket there was no other service rendered - seems too much to pay
Booked the “Skip the Line Ticket with Escorted Entry.” Picked up tickets at an office nearby to the museum. The woman handed us physical tickets and told us where to go stand in line. Not sure how this was really any different than buying a priority pass on the website from the museum directly, except being more expensive, of course.
Purchased skip the line tickets for the Uffizi in Florence. Was to be escorted to the front by a representative. Nope, didn’t happed… had to line up with the masses to stand in line with everyone else. No point in paying extra for skip the line. We were told by museum staff since the museum was closed Monday, and we went on Tuesday …. It was exceptionally busy and they were NOT honoring skip the line passes. Representative, in local office was NOT helpful. Very frustrated by the misrespresentation. Next time I won’t bother with skip the line. Just buy my tickets direct and stand in line, or be part of a group tour…
Scam. Kids get in for free. Yet here you pay for them like adults. There is also no big line to get in. I would dispute this charge as it was not worth it.
Great communication, very kind and flexible, they took us right to the entrance with our tickets and we went right in.
Received the link to download the ticket the day after payment went through. Tried to download at least 10 times using 3 different devices. To no avail. Showed up on the scheduled day. Stood in a 7 minute line to buy tickets and was inside the Museum within 20 minutes. At almost half cost This was a waste of over $80. Never again. I’d like a full refund
They had the effort to call us to redirect us on the area and how to reach their office. we get to the area.
They don’t meet you at the museum. You have to go about 3 blocks away to pick up your ticket. Didn’t realize that because I did not read the info way down in the description.
We bought a “skip the queue with escorted entrance”. This is absolutely not what we got. The office around the corner just printed our tickets and said go to Entrance 1. The reason this is a 1 star is that they do not provide an escort - they made us do it alone and this meant joining the queue like all other timed entrance tickets. Save your money and buy directly from the museum for a timed slot. That is exactly the same service but half the price. DO NOT let them scare you by saying you would have to join entrance 3 to collect your tickets. That’s simply not true! Like all people nowadays you would opt to collect your ticket online on your phone which work perfectly well at entrance 1. Complete con! Either do full guided or buy yourself. This “skip the queue” ticket is nonsense
The tour guide's office was very easy to find - received tickets early/as soon as we found the office. They were very friendly and helpful.
The process should be 100% online, but we had to figure out to get to an office behind the Uffizi to pick it up tickets. Then, it’s not clear where to enter with “SKIP THE LINE” and the attendee tried to send us to the back of the (long) line. The gallery itself requires a LOT of walking. It’s harder to appreciate this world class collection of art treasures when it’s such a trek. (Did it when I was 18 and 25. Was tired then. Now, at 65, it’s a bit more than I expected.)
I think the museum needs either a guided tour or more posted instructions. There were no instructions as to whether to begin your tour or how to traverse the expansive floors of the museum. I feel we didn't really get our money's worth.
This was my second time at the Uffizi and I highly recommend this. This museum houses all the greatest art from Italy's greats. Once in the museum it's a self guided tour with audio. What this ticket gets you is access to the front door entrance, which is worth the ticket trust me! Also plan to spend the whole day and take your time!
We had skip the line tickets with escorted entrance. It was perfect, we entered from the opposite side of the Uffizi Gallery with immediate entrance. It was a Saturday so the line without a pass was very long and crowded. I highly recommend it.
The museum is a must see with surprises throughout. Our tour was self guided which allowed us to go at our own pace. There’s a cafe upstairs which allowed us to have a relaxing lunch and then continue perusing the museum.
Did not actually provide the ticket in time for us to get into the museum. Plus, we found that we could just go to the museum directly and buy a ticket for less. We did not need to "skip the line."
We enjoyed the museum. However we still had to wait as the museum employees were not very organized.
Appalling. Office difficult to find to collect ticket. There was no escort or skipping the Queue. A complete rip off and false advertisement This company is is bad for Florence.
