Irina was fantastic! She is so knowledgeable and made the tour interesting for our entire party. She also was so kind and automatically made adjustments for my elderly parents so that they could have spots to rest and chose a route where they did not have to climb as many stairs.

Irina was absolutely fantastic. This gallery is very large and compartmentalized, so having somebody who is extremely knowledgeable both of the art and the space proved to be incredibly valuable. Because we did not have an enormous amount of time, this tour was ideal. Irina moved us into and out of spaces efficiently and ensured that we were able to see the “major” pieces..I cannot express how difficult this would be if you just went in on your own! Aside from the efficiency, she also took the time to make sure we understood what we were seeing…the history of it, the symbolism, the things that characterize Renaissance art. We left this tour really feeling like we learned something as opposed to just seeing something. This was a great experience with a really fantastic guide!

I’m a rube when it comes to art, any type of art, and that includes works from the Renaissance. Irina taught us so much about the stunning art works contained within the walls of the Uffizi, but also, just as importantly, about the context and history behind them. She also did something that I will hold precious forever: she explained how one can “read” a painting, by examining its every detail, since every nuance and gesture holds meaning, and how those symbols can continue and/or evolve over time through different works of art (both by the same artist and by competing artists). This was a glorious two hours spent and Irina made it so fun and enjoyable; we are so grateful to her!

We met our guide Irina, just outside the entrance to the Uffizzi and went right in. Irina is an excellent guide, extremely knowledgable and takes the time to get to know her guests. We would not had such an interesting visit without her stories and photos. It was a delight! We were also fortunate to tour the Academie with Irina later in the day and that was a fascinating tour - so much detail and great explanations of the history. Great guide!!

Our Uffizi Gallery tour was incredible! We are elderly seniors who walk with canes. Irina was our tour guide. She made sure we knew exactly where to meet her. Irina arranged to take us a special way in order for us to avoid using the stairs in the gallery. She showed us so many masterpieces, explaining so much as we maneuvered through the gallery. There is no way we would have figured out the things that Irina pointed out to us. She saved us so much time and energy by being so organized and efficient. We had an amazing time at the Uffizi Gallery with Irina. Thank you Irina for showing us so much great art and explaining so many things!

This is a 2 hour tour of the Uffizi. Irina is an outstanding tour guide, obviously an art history expert. She is super friendly, enthusiastic, informative and hilarious. She showed us the highlights of the Uffizi in a way that told the story of the history of Florence and the Medici family. She was able to explain each piece of art in such interesting, amazing detail.

Very informative! Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. She even used a iPad to show different photos that would help explain the story of the Medici family and the various artists. She pointed out things in several paintings that were very interesting to each time period. Would highly recommend!

Irina is a treasure! So lovely and knowledgeable. I have been to the Uffizi twice before on previous trips but I had been struggling with sight problems and was essentially blind without the use of my camera to zoom. This was my first tour getting to see it with my own eye and it was extraordinary. I had unknowingly gotten into the habit of simply glancing at the works because I really couldn't see it or could only see in pieces from what I zoomed in on. Unbeknownst to her, she helped by pointed out the intricacies and difficulty in some of the pieces that helped me focus and see the art. It was such a beautiful and sad moment when I realized what I could notice. Truly lovely and it was from her just being her. Would do it again!

Stop. Do not pass go! Go straight with Irina. You will not be disappointed! We had an 8:15 AM start with Irina and she smartly took us directly to view the Birth of Venus, before any crowds arrived. It was divine. We then backtracked through other areas of the gallery, And she provided superb context and background so that we could really appreciate the art that we were viewing. She carries an iPad and would intermittently open it up to demonstrate additional details. Exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend!

What a great tour with Irina! She is very knowledgeable about the history of Florence and makes it come alive with her stories. My father needed extra help due to mobility issues and she was very accommodating. Our whole family enjoyed the tour and in fact we did 3 other private tours with Irina. Our private tour with Manuela was absolutely amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, having come here since she was a child with her father. Had we just wandered on our own without her stories, I feel we would have missed out on 90% of the experience. And being private, the interaction was so special in that we got to discuss how the artists matured, differences in styles between Leonardo, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Caravaggio and more. Who knew Caravaggio painted a hidden self-portrait in his Bacchus painting?

The Uffizi private tour with Irina was a highlight for us, due to the multiple paintings by Bellini that were on display. Irina's knowledge of the painter was impressive! We heard stories of his life, his models, and his problems as a painter during the Renaissance in Florence. Bellini's paintings simply glow with color and light because the artist used innovative techniques do produce richer colors and shading. Irina was a terrific guide, giving us many personal stories about the artists whose work we viewed during the private tour. Her use of her iPad to support her teaching was excellent. When we complimented her style of being a guide, she simply stated that she knew it was an honor to educate people on the history and art of Florence. We highly recommend Irina when you are in Florence and wanting to learn about the museums, galleries, artists and what they produced.

Irena was a fantastic guide! She was SO knowledgeable and made the stories behind the paintings come alive! We were so fortunate to gain wonderful insight into the iconic Rennaissance art we saw! Irena tailored our visit to us and what we wanted to see. She knew all the hidden corridors to get to the quickest elevators and bathrooms. She even knew the whole life story of an artist we asked about who wasn’t even featured in the Uffizi! The symbolism of the paintings was explained so well.
