The tour was great, although a little long. The group size was perfect, as a larger group would have felt like too many people. The guide was very knowledgeable, and I appreciated how much detail she shared about the artwork. However, I would have preferred a little less detail about each piece so we could have learned about more of the artwork during the tour.

Marta was a great guide, the best part of the tour.
I've toured the Uffizi several times in the past, but the tour guide this time was truly exceptional - she was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her job - something you very seldom see anywhere.
Great knowledge imparted by well informed guides that made museums come to life. Would have missed so much of the main exhibits back stories and history surrounding those exhibits.
Our tour guide was excellent, adding cultural and historic information that deepened our experience and made the uffizi a joy to experience.
Marta was a fabulous guide … we couldn’t have enjoyed the visit more and would never have appreciated all of the wonderful details without her clever insights!
Excellent activity. Our guide, Tommaso, was extremely knowledgeable and a very pleasant man. The Uffizi is huge and I'm glad he curated the visit so that we learned a lot about a relatively small number of art works rather than trying to cram in everything. This was a great use of time and money. Our guide's expertise added a lot too our experience. Highly recommended.
Incredible way to see an essential visit in Florence. Our tour guide Vanessa was knowledgeable, relatable, enthusiastic and went above and beyond. Our group was a mix of those with little knowledge of the Renaissance and those who knew a lot and she somehow incredibly managed to cater to us all. Great experience and if you can have Vanessa as a tour guide, the visit will be a memory for life.
Excellent tour! Very thorough but not overwhelming, because the choices our guide Vanessa made were so perfect. That’s so important to the experience, because trying to see every single thing would cause mental overload. She really explained the artworks and the history of Firenze in a way that made everything come alive for us. She was never boring, really a fun and passionate approach, but also displayed a very deep scholarly understanding of the art and the artists. 10 out of 10!
We had an exceptional tour of the Uffizi. Our guide, Carmen, was very knowledgeable and personable. She really made the tour a memorable experience!
Vanessa was knowledgeable and engaging. I learned a lot on this tour. Excellent, highly recommended. Without a knowledgeable guide it would have been easy to be overwhelmed and to not have context for what you are looking at.
Recently in Florence my daughter and I went on the small group Uffizi gallery tour. Without a doubt it was the best art gallery tour I have ever experienced. Our guide, Vanessa, was enchanting. Her knowledge and passion for the art and artists were deep, her descriptions were compelling, and she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The time flew by and we left the gallery inspired and with a better understanding of the 14th century and renaissance paintings.
I want to celebrate Greta, who led our 10-person private intro to the Uffizi collections last week. She expertly and engagingly navigated the art, our group's varied knowledge levels, AND the surrounding "off-season" crowds. Most of us were first-time visitors, and she adroitly connected so many dots for us in terms of art history and cultural context (history! politics! religion!). I usually do my own research and was nervous about signing up for a tour, and I was delighted with how it turned out.
The tour was truly interesting, an itinerary through the evolution of painting from the 14th century to the 19th century. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and had excellent English!
Great experience hit all the highlights and helped me truly understand the connection between history and the art. Highly recommend especially if you’re on an abbreviated tour there is so much to experience and this was perfect in whittling down to the must see!!!
This tour was recommended to me by a friend who’d been in Firenze a few weeks before us. We loved the tour guide, the updated use of a headset and the tour guide’s passion for & knowledge of the beautiful Uffizi art.
Incredible and knowledgeable guide! She led us through expertly and helped to avoid the crowds so we could have many works to ourselves. Definitely worth the spend!
The Viator information sent us to the wrong meeting place. We tried to text, call, and email and got no response. We were refused our money back. We have screenshots and printed documents all giving the same wrong meeting point. Will keep pushing for a full refund but very disappointed as we did not get into the Uffizi
Our tour of the Uffizi with our guide Lorenzo was a wonderful experience! He certainly was every bit the art expert we were promised. His English was excellent but his knowledge was even better. He did a great job of taking us to the most important works and letting us know more about the artist and his art. The only issue we had was making a mistake by going to the wrong meeting point. But a quick phone call to the office quickly got us back on track. And once we arrived at the proper location, the Towns of Italy staff put us at ease. The entire tour was outstanding!
There was no "skip the line". We waited 1 hour to get in the museum. The guide was not in a good mood, he was in a hurry and he didn't take care of the special needs of the group.
The real value here is being able to hit the highlights of the museum without spending the week it would take to see everything otherwise. The place is massive and we saw everything we wanted to see in 2-3 hours. The expert also provide great context to the pieces with interesting details.
This was one of the best we went on! Our guide had a solid understanding of the artists and their art, and of political background of the time, so we could understand the context in which these works were created. She had a lot of great “behind the scenes” stories which added to our experience. Definitely can recommend taking this tour! H
The guide was knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed our experience and recommend this small group tour of the Uffizi.
Having a guided tour really makes a difference in an extensive collection like the Uffizi. We got so much more out of it by having an art expert like Frederica taking you to the most important works and then explaining them to you. She was an excellent guide. Very informative and knowledgeable and also friendly. Our group size was small and made things more manageable than the other big groups we saw. I highly recommend this tour with Frederica.
The meeting point shown in booking.com was totaly wrong. The guided tour however was very good, we learned a lot and the guy was inspiring for seeing more art and architecture.
Difficult customer service. Group left without us. We were one minute late and the company would not reach out to tour guide. They would not even provide the tickets
Lorenzo was amazing. A great tour all round. We loved hearing about the Medici family and visiting the Uffizi. The stories behind the paintings were fascinating. This made our Florence trip even more special. I can’t praise Lorenzo highly enough. He was really helpful and adapted the tour slightly to accommodate a wheelchair.
Federica was a very knowledgeable guide. She shared a lot for details about some of the more significant pieces of art, and was more than happy to answer our questions about others we saw. After the tour we were free to explore the gallery further. 10/10
The story behind each painting was fascinating! Marta is a very good and guide. I recommend this tour. Five stars.
So much to see, so little time to enjoy. This tour was a great way to see the highlights of the Uffizi. Our guide, “Fredi” was amazing! Her knowledge of art history made the pictures come alive. She was also point out little details that most people would never know about. Truly an awesome experience.
Our guide Marta was very knowledgeable about the works of art and we learned so much that we did not know. Amazing experience. Incredible artwork that should not be missed. This museum is one of the best but is very busy. Florencetown has a tour that starts at 8 am before the crowds arrive and we recommend this tour during the peak months.
I was lucky enough to be the only one to sign up for the tour. I greatly benefited from Martha insights. She wAs a delight!
To see everything would have been overwhelming, but our guide trimmed this down and made it quite manageable. The pieces we saw were well represented of the various times during the Renissance period. She provided great history behind each piece as well as hidden insights about the piece and artist. She made the three and a half hour tour speed by. We were VERY glad we chose this tour and would strongly recommend others to do so as well. Thanks…
We enjoyed learning about the advancement in the paintings. Enjoyed learning about the renaissance as well. A great way to tour the museum. Thank you
Early start essential for a visit to this gallery! We skipped the long lines that we saw on exit….. Laura our guide was fabulous - she brought the whole thing to life & guided us gently through a mammoth art experience! I will never forget some of those painting that I studied many years ago in school - it was emotional standing in front of them & hearing Laura explain them in ways I had never heard before…. We loved it!!!
The Uffizi is a huge museum w an overwhelming amount of paintings. I would have found it quite a challenge to take it all in without a guide. Sara our guide was informative & plucked the best paintings to visit throughout the tour. Highly recommend.
The information given to us by our wonderful guide, Favio, multiplied our appreciation of all the magnificent works of art.
Learning the history of the renaissance era as well as the evolution of art during this period. The guide helped tremendously in working us through an overcrowded museum. The only way to go!!
Federica was an excellent guide. She was attentive, information and extremely pleasant to spend 3 hours with. An absolutely fantastic job. Highly highly recommend!
We had a really nice tour in Uffizi. Our tour guide Francesca Messina was very informative and friendly. She really made our Uffizi experience great! We would highly recommend this tour and this tour guide if you want interesting background information about the history of the art works.
First we do not visit art gallaries often. However we thought Florence was one place that we could not miss. Our tour guide was the young and energetic Francesca M. She led the small group with a very engaging style. These types of tours can be terrible or great depend on the guide and Francesca made is so interesting... Highly recommend for those of you who want to learn about art whilst seeing masterpieces. Ask for Francesca, you will not go wrong. Geoff and Denise
Highly recommend this tour. It is an early start, but this means the gallery is not too hot, and is not crowded. Our guide was excellent - his depth of knowledge meant the tour was interesting and informative. The tour is expensive - but well worth it. Toured with my teenage daughter - didn’t book a private tour but it was just the two of us.
We attended the early entry Uffizi Tour Mastercalss from Florencetown and it was the worst experience in our 16 day Italy tour. First of all, the trip is sold as an early entry 8 AM tour however that is not true. The guide Fabio takes his own sweet time and makes you wait at the waiting area and then takes you inside the gallery only at 8.30 AM when all the other tour groups also enter, so it doesn’t remain an early entry tour. In addition, in the tour that we attended there were only 6 people, an American couple with their two teenage daughters and two of us, an Indian couple from Singapore. Our guide Fabio was only the worst guide ever as in such a small group, he only concentrated on talking to and explaining to only the other couple and would turn his back to us and then speak towards the other couple only. Having paid 150 Euros for the two tickets, I got the feeling like we were not part of the small tour group but were encroaching onto a private tour of the other family. Even after I pointed out to Fabio that we were not able to hear him if he would turn his back to us, he corrected himself for sometime and then continued his specific concentration on the other couple. The most possible reason for this behaviour was his expectation for tip from the American couple ( btw, we tipped him as well). I would say avoid FlorenceTown as a tour company and Fabio definitely as a tour guide. Any other guide have done the basic tour and explaining he did and it was definitely not. Masterclass.
Generally, I hate guided tours and was skeptical when my partner bought this one since I had seen so many tour guides at the Vatican museums rushing their groups from one painting to the next. My experience with Laura, our thoughtful art historian guide, could not have been more different! Her understanding of the interconnection between the paintings was vital to my experience there, plus she was hilarious and had a feminist focus which I appreciated in such a male dominated space. I can not recommend this tour enough-- PLUS you get to skip the lines and experience the museum in it's least crowded state. Absolutely worth every euro!
Our guide, Francesca Lore, did a wonderful job showing us how painting evolved from the flat Byzantine style through the high Renaissance and into Baroque, all in the context of the history and architecture of Florence. Highly recommended.
Fantastic Uffizi VIP tour - our guide was extremely knowledgeable and so likeable. Not only was I looking at remarkable artwork, I was learning about the artist and the history of the piece. Our group consisted of only 6 people so it was almost a personal tour. The gallery was amazing! La Primavera by Botticelli took my breath away! I read about Florencetown tours in a travel book by Rick Steves and so glad I did. I highly recommend this company and this tour.
Our small group tour was led by Frederika, who was just great. We had been to the Uffizi before, but it was well worth it to have a very knowledgeable professional like Frederika to provide more depth and insight. Also, going early was nice, since we avoided some of the crowds.
The guide was amazing. I highly recommend it. I went with my 8 year old and she enjoyed it very much. The guide made it fun and provided a very concise and deep synopsis of the paintings. My daughter still remembers even though we went a few months ago. I highly recommend it. It was great.
Very interesting and informative tour, even if arts is not your passion. The tour guide Sara Fabri was very knowledgeable, nice, fluent in English and a big enthusiast of arts. Highly recommended
Our guide of The Uffizi was Sara. She met us at the Florencetown booth and walked us the short way to the gallery setting the science for the building of the gallery. Avoiding the queue and taking us in was of course helpful. However it was Sara’s knowledge and passion which made the tour so throughly enjoyable and informative. It was without doubt the highlight of our visit to Florence. The tour included a coffee in the cafe on the roof terrace mid way through which was great. Thank you so much.
