Manuela was incredible. Passion for the art and detailed knowledge of the history, methods, evolution and interpretation of the art were at a level that made us appreciate the art unlike any other guide we have had. She made the art and artists come alive! Incredible place that must not be missed.

I can’t say enough about Anna! She was an exceptional expert on the development of painting throughout the renaissance. I’ve never learned so much in such an enjoyable engaging way beforeon a tour. Anna was so friendly and engaging and ask us questions and our opinions. This is by far the best tour I’ve ever taken. Brava to Anna!
Our tour guide displayed an excellent knowledge of her subject and it was evident she enjoyed her job.
So knowledgeable and quick to answer questions, great recommendations and humorous along the way!
I truly believe having a knowledgeable guide is necessary when doing a museum because they’re your personal encyclopedia when it comes to the history and contents of that museum. It so much true for this tour. I’m familiar with the masters of the Renaissance but Francesca’s (?) knowledge and enthusiasm with teaching history and art adds to my basic knowledge. She’s such a good tour guide! I like her pacing, her approach to asking questions, and her story telling is fantastic. I loved getting little bits of trivia too (the meaning of Uffizi? It didn’t even click for me but when she broke it down my mind was blown!) She showed us what we “needed” to see but if you wanted to stay and go around on your own you’re welcome to go around the museum again. I really do recommend getting a guide for any museum and this tour is a very good one to do.
It was a great tour of the highlights of the Uffizi Gallery. Our guide, Bruce, was knowledgeable and a bit humorous. We enjoyed it.
The guide left a member at the entry ticket checkpoint without knowing before moving ahead. The member was stuck behind a crowd and moved slowly because of this crowd. The security asked to see the ticket but the ticket was kept by the guide. After some delay and explanation, the member was allowed to pass through and found the group again. Total fail.
The guide failed to make sure that every member passed through the entry ticket checkpoint before moving ahead. He left one member at the checkpoint where the security guard asked to see the ticket, when in fact only the guide held all the tickets. The member was stuck behind a crowd and wasn't able to move forward to stay with the group. Basic duty of a guide is to gather all members before moving forward.
The experience was excellent thanks to our guide Victoria who did such a great job managing the time we had by highlighting the important artworks, meaning and history. Victoria referred each person in the group by name and was really engaging. We didn’t feel like we were just another group: her commentaries were delivered with great enthusiasm, humour and expert knowledge. Thank you Victoria!!!
The meeting place provided as seen on Google Maps was off from the actual location. When asking for help, it took 5 minutes for the girl to respond and then she had difficulty describing her location. For some reason, the company didn’t have tickets for two people. By the time that was settled and we got in and went to the bathroom, we had an hour for the tour. The guide was in credibly knowledge and provided great insight on how the featured paintings impacted the history of art in Europe. However, his biting/sarcastic style, which was funny for a few minutes, was very grating by the end.
We enjoyed our guided tour with Norma who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the art. We learned a lot.
Norma was superb. She greeted the group by introducing herself and telling us a little about herself. She was personable and very knowledgeable about the artwork we saw in the Gallery. Each piece she took us to she explained in detail. I appreciated her passion for the art and the whole space. We had to adjust our time for the tour and that was very easy within the Trip Advisor site. The length was too short as we really enjoyed the wealth of information that Norma provided and would have liked more but overall it was okay as one’s brain can only hold so much information.
Stefano was so knowledgeable - helped incorporate the perfect amount of art history. It would be hard for my partner to do more than 1.5 hrs so it was the perfect length! You can’t see everything but it’s more important to catch the highlights. Would book again
The guide was well informed and enthusiastic. It was well organised in terms of meeting up and getting in. I did feel it was very expensive.
This was great! The meeting point was handled well by the tour operators and our guide was excellent. She was truly wonderful, a Florentine would studied and taught art. She gave the best tour with energy and passion. I learned so much. This was the best tour experience I purchased during our trip.
Group of five . My partner and I Could hardly understand the guides spoken English, maybe one word in four at best. Non stop fast speaking. No empathy with group. Spoken down to when I dared ask a simple question. Told that she was going to talk about that point. We quit part way and did our own tour. We had previously visited and used AI to identify most interesting paintings and their location. That’s my way forward in future.
We started just outside the Uffizi and our guide walked us through the gallery pointing out the major pieces while providing interesting historical context. Once the tour was over, we had time to walk back through the gallery and observe whatever we wanted to see. It’s a bit much to see all in one trip but nice to get an intro from someone with better knowledge than us.
Norma was exceptionally knowledgeable with a huge passion for the art and history in the museum. She was friendly, with some humorous anecdotes. She really brought the art to life with lots of insightful interpretations and theory. The tour over ran, but she still finished it and was available for questions. Highly recommended.
It was really good experience our guide explained us many things about famous paintings and history of the museum
Our guide was Manuela and she was fantastic- she is a great story teller who brought the paintings to life. We learned so much history and about the painters characters and what to look for, how to understand the pictures. Then I had a funny turn and Manuela found me a wheelchair and I continued in that. The tour was so good I couldn't bear to miss anything. So despite the funny turn and because of Manuela the Uffizi was the highlight of a wonderful trip to Florence.
Very good tour - you have to listen hard though and stay close as live audio guide can be faint
Very crowded and difficult to understand guide due to noise and accent. Guide was not very engaging.
Fantastic tour with our friendly enthusiastic and very knowledgeable guide !
We enjoyed every minute of our tour.
Rachel was an outstanding tour guide. An artist and art educator, Rachel engaged and educated us on art history, techniques and intrigue of the artists and patrons responsible for the art we were enjoying. The time flew by, and I'd gladly have listened longer, but we absolutely got our money's worth and more! Highly recommend this small group tour for an unforgettable exploration of the Uffize Gallery!!
Ana is very knowledgeable and passionate to share her knowledge. Patiently answering everyone’s questions. You could see the love and interest she has towards art. She was truly on a mission to leave her group more educated and excited about Rensaissance Art!
Great tour of a wonderful gallery. Beautiful works of art !! Make sure to get there early so you don't miss this special place.
The Uffizi is incredible. An amazing building with incredible works of art. Our guide took us to all the major pieces and explained the highlights which was incredibly helpful. We would not have easily found our way around otherwise. The views of the river from the gallery are also wonderful. Sadly, however, the guide's explanations were confusing and her English hard to understand. She was not at all clear, appeared muddled and seemed a bit grumpy that we 'did not laugh at her jokes'. I didn't detect any jokes at all! She was unfriendly and a bit grumpy when her clients had to point out that we couldn't hear her properly as the microphone needed adjusting. Overall I'm pleased we had a guide but she was not the best.....
Bruce was an extremely engaging and knowledgeable guide who took the time to explain important details about every piece of art work discussed.
Our tour guide, Bruce, did an incredible job. Very knowledgeable about the art and history of Florence.
This tour is a great way to see the highlights of Uffizi. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The tour offers a bit of art history while still being fast-paced.
We enjoyed our tour leader who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We feel he showed us the important features in the museum and provided necessary historical context.
Was the best way to see the highlights of the museum. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and covered all the paintings that were in my list to see. I would have been totally overwhelmed doing on my own.
Anna was a fantastic guide. Her knowledge and enthusiasm were clear and helped us understand and appreciate what we were seeing. I also loved her gentle, practical approach to being in a crowd: “Be like water” and flow to where you want to go.
Very good experience. Great guide. Learned a lot from his knowledge. A little hard to find meeting point due to many tours.
Bruce was great. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. He wore a mic first my implant heating devices without any hesitation. I could hear him perfectly. I give him my highest rating.
Very informative and timed well for a family. Thank you, Francesca! You made it interesting and enjoyable!
Excellent tour with very knowledgeable guide who took extra time to really help us understand the art
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, spoke great English, had a great sense of humor, and made the tour very enjoyable! We got a lot of very interesting information and saw the main attractions on the second floor and then we’re on our own to see the first floor and the remainder of the second floor. One warning is that you do not actually get to enter at the exact entrance time so you should allow for 45 minutes of waiting and the entering process . I wish I knew that ahead of time because I had a deadline to be somewhere thinking, I would have 3 hours in the museum, but I only had 2 hours and 15 minutes. Plan accordingly.
Wonderful experience with just the right amount of factual information, no spins or personal interpretation. Our guide Bruce is one of best we’ve ever had, credible.
A little hard to find the meeting location. The guide arrived over 10 minutes later than we were asked to be present so that was a bit stressful. Our guide talked a lot - never stopped for the 90 minutes we were with her. She chose certain pieces of art, going into great detail about them and then totally skipped about 3/4 of the collection. We enjoyed the time we wandered on our own when the tour was over more than the tour. We booked the tour because we are not educated in great art and wanted to ensure we learned about the many pieces of great art in the gallery. In the end we would have done better with self guided tour.
Our tour guide was fantastic! She was quite knowledgeable about the Medici Dynasty and so much more. She was the best!
Pam was absolutely fabulous so much knowledge
Steve was very personable and knowledgeable. He pointed out details of painting that we might have missed if we were viewing the paintings on our own. Steve left us with a list of additional works of art that we should seek out during our independent time. We highly recommend Viator-Things To Do tours.
A detailed tour of the Second floor of the Uffizi. Our Guide had extensive knowledge of the Art. Excellent.
We easily met the guide and enjoyed our tour. It was quite a speedy trip around the Uffizi but we did see the main paintings, and the explanations were so interesting. I felt we were able to get a good understanding of how the great artists work differed from previous art. I especially enjoyed seeing the works of Botticelli and Michaelangelo, as well as the shield with Medusa on it.
Bruce was quite informative and humorous. We learned a lot of stories behind the many paintings and even though our heads were about to explode from overload we are so glad we did this tour of “the offices”
Pam our guide was amazing, she really went above and beyond to show us as much of the Uffizi as possible in our time with her. She was very considerate of everyone and kept us engaged throughout. The tour was a great introduction to the uffizi and would definitely recommend. Although I had read the meeting info, I still found it difficult so allow plenty time.
This tour was really great for so many reasons. First was the fast entry into Uffizi bypassing the long line of people waiting to see if they can even enter the museum that day. Then our guide was so knowledgable of all the works of art guiding our tour from the medieval through the end of the renaissance. She pointed out all the things I would have never seen on my own, explained the time period and even added colorful stories to bring the painters to life again.
