Uffizi Gallery Guided Vip Small Group Experience

The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the Uffizi and had lots of detailed information on the paintings. At times the details were more than we could take in with so much to see.

Uffizi was a must stop on my list for The Birth of Venus alone. Beautiful views. Amazing pieces of artwork that have been painstakingly preserved. Wish I would have brought headphones to make using the downloaded audio guide available- but I forgot or missed it in the prep emails.

Our guide was the best. Very smart and aware of the groups' needs. She really knew her art history and her delivery was excellent.

We had a fantastic experience on the Uffizi Gallery Guided VIP Small Group Experience on 23 August 2026. Our guide was absolutely lovely—really pleasant, engaging and exceptionally knowledgeable about the art and history of Florence, the Medici family and the Uffizi itself. We saw a number of important works in the gallery, brought to life by our guide’s expert narrative and fascinating insights. At the end of the tour, we were also directed towards other areas of the gallery so we could continue exploring independently, which was a great way to finish the experience. I’d have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this tour. An excellent experience from start to finish—100%!

This was was a discombobulated and poorly organized experience. They changed the time on us last minute. Then they had us waiting for 40 minutes because the tour company screwed up the ticketing process. But instead of being the 90 minute tour as advertised, the guide felt compelled to compress a 90 minute tour into 60 minutes. So it was like listening to a speed reading class on Italian art instead of amor well paced experience of the museum. The guide was knowledgeable. But overall, the experience was hurried and poorly organized. We would’ve done much better to just have a headset and guided ourselves. It was an incredible waste of money and more importantly our time. When I shared this feedback with the tour company, which is called Crown, they said thank you for the feedback and that was it. Any professional outfit would have made good on the poor tour. Extreme disappointment. Avoid it at all costs.

The title is deceptive. I walked thru the gallery myself the only thing that they provide is the app that has audio to describe the art. However, I had my own audio guide that I preferred so I used that one instead. I guess it’s the convenience of not having to purchase your ticket on the website, I’m not really sure the point of this “tour”.

Definitely the way to go! We were a small group (6) and our guide, Gabriela, was most knowledgeable about the backstory of the paintings we viewed. She took time for questions as well. After the one hour tour we had as much time as we wished to tour the museum on our own.

Fantastic! Loredana was an excellent tour guide, easily guiding us from one great work of art to another. Her knowledge of Florence, the Medici Family, and Renaissance history and art was unmatched. Highly recommend this tour with Loredana.

On time,given paper vouchers,told to wait to the right,Left unattended,no headphones,never saw guide again.Tried to download audio without success, tried to contact guide without success, tried to contact the company without success. This was no VIP experience. Sorry to say.

This was a wonderful small tour. We had Ms Lopez who was so knowledgeable and really explained things. She made time for me to see certain art in the museum especially. She was very down to earth and friendly and it felt like doing a tour with a friend. The tour company is very well run.

It was great to see the amazing artwork, and our tour guide had an amazing knowledge of the art, but she kept complaining about the crowds and seemed unprepared for them. For example we stood outside and she talked about the statues outside, then we had to wait in a long line to get in, and she said “oh if I had known there would be a line, I wouldn’t have taken so much time outside.” Also I would rather hear about the art and artists than the history of Florence.

The museum has amazing holdings. Our guide was so knowledgeable regarding the art, from the history to the techniques to the uniqueness about each piece. 100% satisfied!!!

The only reason I have this 1 star is because it advertises as a “VIP tour.” It was not. We were given an app to download & had no tour guide. So it’s a self guided, non VIP tour.

So much to see, this was the perfect mix of breadth and depth of the displays. Our tour guide was awesome!!!!

The tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about her subject. We found it very educational. However the radio sets this company used were low quality and you were better off just listening to the guide without the earphone. However, the Uffizi Gallery have recently changed their entrance security company and all tour guides appear to have lost their queue skipping privileges. By comparison the Accademia tour with another company was a 5-star rating.

Amazing tour of the Uffizi Gallery. I'd highly recommend Laura as a tour guide and this 2 hour tour. Laura made the tour so interesting, showing us the highlights of the amazing works of art / paintings in this museum.

Tour was fine. Guide was good. Tour operator changed our time and forced us to cancel a different tour. Was unhappy about that. We planned our trip well in advance and being forced to choose wasn’t great. We didn’t have enough time to change.

We came on a busy day so it took about 40 minutes to get in to the museum. One of the problem was there was only one security line. The second one was down. Still quicker than the standard line. Our guide did an excellent job explaining the key paintings and sculptures.

Isabella is very knowledgeable of history in the arts in the Florentine area. Having a guide is a must in the Uffizi museum in order highlight the most significant works and gain an insight into the collection. This allows you to continue to view the works of art at your own pace. Being able to bypass the line is key as well. Well worth the cost.

It’s so much amazing art and history. You can stay there for the whole day. Amazing place. Come with plenty of time to enjoy.

Small details can make a big difference to improve this experience. We rated it a 3 because it was not the best in terms of ease of comprehension and overall organisation. The guide didn't have any kind of tour identification sign like a sign held up or a Tshirt with the brand etc. It was very tricky to keep her in sight in anextremely crowded environment. The guide was friendly and Jovial and we appreciated her positive attitude. However the explanation of many things seemed more learned by heart and less out of knowledge and passion for art. I had trouble understanding what the significance of many of the pieces. Something that has nothing to do with the tour at all is that the museum is extremely crowded so I would recommend wet wipes or a small fan to stay cool and not exhausted.

We purchased vip tickets with skip the line, when we meet a guide, she just gave us regular tickets, we stayed in the huge line and paid double price for the same regular tickets in musium. Advertised as vip skip the line with a professional guide, we didn’t get guide and skip the line tickets!!! Not recommended to anyone, totall rip off. Paid double.

The museum itself is the overuse word called amazing. There were quite a few people there although everyone told me it really wasn’t the busy season yet. Laura was so interesting. She really explains things well and really tried hard to keep the group together and she was successful in doing that. We learned a lot, thanks to Laura and it really all started to make sense on how the art evolved the depths. The colors used the styles used just the history of everything was more than I had hoped for.If you take this guided tour, please try to ask for Laura as she really made the trip special and understandable we appreciate her.

No problem at all meeting up with the rep to get the entry tkts for the audio guided tour. After that, the experience was awful. The audio was informative and well done but there is no direction about where to physically be for each audio episode. Was impossible to know which room to be in and when. We consulted with several staff members and no one knew how to complete the experience. The exhibit needs better direction and the staff need to know how to do the tour. A total frustration and waste of money for us.

We had an amazing Crown tour in Uffizi palace with a very smart and funny guide Michele. He is an art historian, that’s why Michele really knows the pecularities of art and helps to actually SEE the paintings and notice the details. It was an incredible experience. Without a doubt, Michele is one of the best art guides in Firenze.

Gabriella was wonderful and so was the trip to the gallery! Very memorable and had a lot of fun learning about the history and story behind each of the most important works (both educative and exciting). Definitely worth it and you won't regret it for sure :)

We visited both Accademia and uffizi in one day. Planning wouldn’t have been possible with Crown Tours’ team helping us with changing our uffizi booking. The experience was amazing we were introduced to the masterpieces inside the museums and a guide to understand the time line and the style of artworks. This helped us better understand the significance of the works and also not to miss the capolavori of uffizi. We enjoyed the tour. We we’ll definitely visit the museum once more and this time probably with a hosted entrance service to continue from where we left of. Thank you Crown tours team!

Lovely brief tour of the highlights at the Uffizi. Laura was articulate and fun, and coped very well with my husband!

Museums were not on our bucket list with my friends but we are so glad we booked this tour. What a wonderful experience. Uffizi Gallery was an overwhelming museum to visit with loads of art works. Our guide explained all the highlights of the museum. Booking was easy, the tour was pretty much organised! Staffs were friendly and our Guide was entertaining, she even stopped to give us time to take photos. Highly recommended if you visit Florence

The tour to the Uffizi gallery is wonderful! We've seen all the main masterpieces of the gallery, and heard very interesting stories about the Medici family and famous artists. Many thanks to our guide Laura who knows everything about Florence, can tell breathtaking stories about the past in perfect English, is very responsive and has a good sense of humour. We would love to repeat this experience once we have a chance to get back to Florence!

Nice tour guided by an art historian who knows very much about Florence, the Renaissance and the region. Works with an one ear MP3, that worked good. Although a guide brings your visit to a higher level, I think paying three times the usual entrance fee for approximately an hour is a lot.

Very well organised tour, clear instructions and simple to find the meetup point. The guide Laura was awesome, super informative and engaging. The crowds and other groups at the gallery weren’t an issue and it seemed like we just moved past them and caught all the highlights without any delay or stagnation. Would recommend.

Many people and few extraordinary works. Most of them are very boring and you walk and you're sick of it.
