Eleonora is the perfect guide, she was patient clear and calm. She delivered the ideal balance between history and artistic analysis. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence, she helped to bring the beauty of the Ufizi and the renaissance to life!

Itinerary
Designed as a building for the offices – or uffizi – of the Florentine magistrates, the structure grew to house the stunning collection of art amassed by the wealthy Medici family. Overlooking the Arno River, the gallery is as picturesque as the many paintings hanging on its walls. You’ll learn about its turbulent history including a mafia car bomb and severe flooding that threatened the artwork. The Uffizi has undergone extensive modernization through the early 21st century, making it a world-class museum. More than 100 rooms highlighting the best of Italian art from names like Titian and Caravaggio. Discover these Renaissance works and the artists behind them, like Raphael’s “Self Portrait.” See the most famous paintings like Botticelli’s “Primavera” or his stunning “Birth of Venus,” a work that has become a cultural icon over the past few hundred years. No trip to Florence is complete without a jaunt through the Uffizi, and our guide will ensure you see the best bits.

Another 5 star tour by Babylon! A big thank you to Eleonora for making the day so enjoyable. She’s knowledgeable and engaging, and really immerses you into the world of Florence. The time flew by and I look forward to coming back to Florence to do more tours!! I can’t recommend Babylon tours enough!
Giacomo (Jack) was the best part of this tour. He made it easy to find him in the middle of crowds of people waiting to get in to the Ufizzi gallery. While the gallery is a great place to experience, it is too much to understand if you don't have a guide. Giacomo (Jack) not only told us the gallery history but included the stories behind the art, sculpture, and architecture. He communicates in a way any non-art expert can understand. He is friendly, personable, and a teacher, all in one. Request Jack ... he's the best!
Giacomo was fantastic!! He brings history to life. And he adds not just history but also art expertise above and beyond! What a treat he was. Best guide for sure!!
Outstanding immersive experience championed by erudite tour guide (Sabrina M.) with vast knowledge of artists and their artistry in concert with ancient Roman history. The pace of the tour was perfect with time to ask questions
Jack out tour guide was incredible! He made this museum and paintings come to life. His knowledge and perspectives were simply amazing. He made this experience a once in a lifetime event for us. The paintings now have meaning that you could never get any other way.
You have limited time and must have a guide to go through the gallery and have explanations regarding the artists and each period represented. There are thousands of people and our guide moved us into which halls held the must see art.
Laura D was excellent in guiding us through the Uffizi, clearly describing the works, their background and the artists.
Larisa was a great tour guide. She was energetic and informative. My family learned so much on our tour - both art and the history of the city!
Incredible tour. It was just 5 of us and we skipped the line . Annette was amazing- so knowledgeable- I learned so much ! It would not have been the same to walk through on my own. Her knowledge and insight made me appreciate and understand the art and the artists. It was awesome!
Tour guide Francesco was friendly, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. We were the only ones on the tour that day. He spoke very good English and provided a great tour of the museum and told us many facts we would not have known if we had done this on our own. He showed us around the city center and gave us good recommendations for lunch and gelato. Highly recommend.
Our guide Annette was awesome, so knowledgeable about each and every item in the museum. The three hours we spent with her just flew by. We were so glad we took the tour, because we got to see all the highlights, learn so much, and not waste time wandering aimlessly trying to read every single sign. Highly recommended!
Our guide Annette was awesome, an absolute font of knowledge. We could tell we were in the hands of an art historian because she seemed to know everything about every artwork in the entire museum. We were enthralled the whole time; three hours just flew by. It was so worth taking the tour because not only did we get to see all the most important works in a prioritized manner, but we learned so much about the collection overall and each individual artwork we saw, as well as the building itself. Annette made it all so much more interesting than if we had done the museum on our own, relying on an audio recording or reading signs. Thank you!
We had many tour guides during our Italy trip and none was better than Annette from Babylon Tours. She went beyond basic information and wove a historical story about the Uffizi and how the art reflected the actual events. We looked at tons of art during our trip but the only things I remember are from this tour because she made them come alive for us. Could not recommend more!

Sabrina is a bottomless pit of knowledge and love for Painters and artists. Ufizzi is clearly a must do in Firenze but without her It would have been a senseless run. Thank you ! I definitelly recommand her
Rubina had a great knowledge of history and the artwork and had a great natural flow to the tour. Excellent interaction.
Such a great time to see Uffizi Gallery and all the information to be given by a professional as Eleonora, our guide!Thank you!
Our tour was with Eleonora. She kept in touch before the tour- it was clear where to meet her. She was VERY knowledgeable, and gave an overview of the Uffizi as well as focused on the highlights across the centuries. She had many interesting facts and stories. The semi private tour is much better than the large tour group experience! Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful tour. It was very informative and felt like a private art history class. We highly recommend this tour and our guide
Eleanore was a superb guide. Interested in our art background. Very knowledge. Wanted us to view pieces from a certain Perspective. Excellent in all regards! She was enthusiastic about sharing several masterpieces with us.
Giacomo was excellent and explained the numerous intricate details of the museum and the city. Would highly recommend the tour at it encompassed a high amount of city details.
Giacomo was an excellent guide - he was very organized & knowledgeable plus flexible … accommodated all our interests & needs
Eleanora really enhanced our experience of the Uffizi Gallery. She was charming, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. We learned a lot and had lots of fun! The museum is filled with amazing Renaissance artwork. Eleanora provided history and context and information about how the techniques evolved. It really deepened my appreciation of the museum. Babylon Tours is always our first choice for a guided experience. The value provided is first rate - tremendous customer service, fantastic guides, personalized experience at a very reasonable price.
What a wonderful day. Francisco helped bring the art to life. He was very knowledgeable and had fun stories which made the masterpiece speak to us The museum is just not the same experience alone. The museum is one of the top three in the world. Amazing one family owned so much and now it’s available to us all.
We took a semi private visit of the Uffizi museum because it has so much content you can go crazy on your own. Babylon sent me not just a confirmation and reminder email, but they also sent un sms the very day, with the guides phone number in case we got lost (which was impossible cause we had pictures of the meeting place included) We skipper the lines with ease, and we were so lucky that we were the only two on the tour, so we got a private tour instead of a semi-private. The guide Viola is charming and engaging, her English is great and she showed us the main masterpieces. You can’t see the whole museum in one day, and I wouldn’t go there on my own for a first visit. It was nice that we could stay in the museum after the tour, and take more time to explore the things discussed with Viola. Thanks Babylon and Viola for a great experience!
