I had so much fun on this tour!! Barbara our tour guide (Oct 20) was the best!! It’s amazing how she can speak 6 different languages so fluently!! This tour is well-put together, no hassle at all even if we were about 60+ people..Lunch is also pretty great and also tower of Pisa was such a good form of exercise! Lol you can feel the leaning of the tower while going up. And the architecture in Sienna is just remarkable, they stand the test of time being built in 14th century!! I highly recommend this tour and hopefully you also get an amazing tour guide just like Barbara!! 🫶✔️💯

Itinerary
Tour leaves from Florence city centre in the early morning , to reach Pisa San Gimignano and Siena
Your day starts in the morning with a free tour of Pisa, where you will have time to admire the magnificent cathedral, the baptistery, the monumental cemetery and the famous Leaning tower of Pisa.
If selected you have the chance to climb this iconical tower, known for its nearly four-degree lean, the result of an unstable foundation.
Enter the oldest of the three structures in the plaza followed by the Pisa Baptistry and the Leaning Tower.
Look at Monumental Cemetery, where the legend claims that bodies buried in that ground will rot in just 24 hour.
Fall in love with Pisa and the amazing Piazza Dei Miracoli: the most popular attraction in Pisa where you will have free time to visit the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery or realaxing In the green meadow under the shadow of one of this monument. You can also choose the option that includes Leaning Tower Entrance
Admire the largest baptistery in Italy, it is 54 m high, with a diameter of 34, built from 1152 to 1363
While heading to the wine estate, enjoy the breathtaking Chianti scenery. Afterwards, you will be comfortably driven to a rustic winery in Chianti, on the slopes of San Gimignano, where you will be invited to a delightful wine tasting enriched with some local culinary specialties, such as bruschettas, pecorino cheese and a variety of cold cuts.
After lunch you discover, San Gimignano: the Medieval Manhanattan, where you can explore the maze of cobbled streets, small squares and many local craft stores.
Piazza del Duomo in San Gimignano was the fulcrum of the religious and political life of the town in the Middle Ages. The square owes its name to the Collegiate Church, which has been there since the 11th century, while the current appearance of the square took shape in the first half of the 13th century, during the golden period of the economy and political importance of San Gimignano . The main public buildings and the "rotation" of the cathedral date back to that period, with a new facade opposite the old Palazzo del Podestà. Today the square is slightly sloping and has a brick pavement.
Piazza della Cisterna is, with the Piazza del Duomo, one of the two most important squares in San Gimignano. The square has a triangular shape with a slight natural slope and is connected to the nearby Piazza del Duomo by an open passage. The pavement is herringbone brick and on the sides there is an extraordinary curtain of noble houses and medieval towers.
Our exciting day continues with a panoramic view of the true Chianti countryside before arriving in Siena, where our professional guide ( if option selected ) will let you discover the most important squares, from Piazza del Campo to the Cathedral passing through the most beautiful ‘Contrade’ that characterize this city. At the end of the guided tour, you will have free time to enjoy a cup of coffee or the Pan Forte (the typical local cake) and have some shopping in typical local shops.
Piazza del Campo (or more simply the Campo) is the main square of the city of Siena. Unique for its particular and very original shell shape, it is renowned throughout the world for its beauty and architectural integrity, as well as for being the place where the Palio di Siena takes place twice a year.
The cathedral of Siena, officially the metropolitan cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, is the main place of Catholic worship in Siena, in Tuscany, the episcopal seat of the metropolitan archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d'Elsa-Montalcino; the building is located in the square of the same name, in Terzo di Città. Built in Italian Romanesque-Gothic style, it is one of the most significant churches built in this style in Italy.
Come back in the evening at the same point in the city center

Great tour, yes, so much to see in a day. Today at Siena was market day but we didn't have time to look, even just 20 minutes. Tour guide was excellent Wine tasting and lunch was great, however, for the pasta, we needed more protein and some veggies
Great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny, and very helpful. Getting to see all the sites that we would have otherwise missed was great. High recommend!
A truly amazing experience! Our tour guide was a lovely lady with curly short hair who’s name I can’t remember atm BUT she’s a GEM!! A true professional guide if we’ve ever met one! Maybe just a little more time in every spot would be perfection! If you take any tour in Florence, make sure this one’s on your list!
Our host, Barbara, was amazing throughout the entire trip, and our driver, Salvatore, did a fantastic job. The ride was smooth and comfortable from start to finish. It was incredible being able to visit so many beautiful places in one day, from taking the classic photo “holding up” the Leaning Tower of Pisa to enjoying the stunning scenery and charm of San Gimignano. Siena was also a beautiful city and somewhere we would definitely love to return to and explore on our own. Unfortunately, the guided tour in Siena was the one disappointing part of the experience. It felt short, rushed, and included quite a bit of rambling. I honestly don’t remember the guide’s name, which is probably for the best. Overall, I would highly recommend this Tuscany tour. Barbara and Salvatore were fantastic, and getting to experience all of these destinations in one trip was absolutely worth it. My only recommendation would be to skip the guided Siena tour and instead use that time to freely explore the city at your own pace.
There are many tour operators who offer similar Tuscany tours. Do not choose this one!! Staff were rude and unreasonable to deal with.
It was great to see the town’s that was on the itinerary. The only thing I would add is if we had an extra 15 minutes in each place would’ve been perfect. The other thing is in Pisa, my kids climbed the leaning tower and took a couple of pictures and then we went to the cathedral for maybe 10 minutes. We were rushing to get back to the meeting spot and we’re still five minutes late. An extra 15 or 20 minutes in Pisa would be ideal because if they’re older people they would have a hard time doing everything in the time frame that we were given. If my husband and I were going to climb the tower, we would not have made back in time. We would have been much later.
Many thanks to Barbara and team for a wonderful day exploring the Tuscany region in Italy. She was so polite, friendly and full of energy. Her knowledge was exceptional and she made the day very enjoyable. This tour is a great way to see the most of the area without having to do any organising yourself.
Full day! This is a large group tour and a big bus! We did this in July and the heat did dampen our day. Andrea our tour guide was very efficient and our driver John Pierre was great. Short stops at each place. Lunch at the winery was good. You will do a lot of walking simply from the bus into each town, before you do your own exploring at each stop.
It was a very hot day, but I really enjoyed it! We visited 3 beautiful spots and had a wonderful wine tasting experience. Special thanks to Julia at the restaurant for sharing information about the different wine varieties. It was also a great opportunity to connect with the rest of the tour group during the lunch and wine tasting. A big thank you to Marina for guiding us throughout the entire day, sharing interesting insights and always being available to provide additional information whenever needed. And many thanks to Massimiliano for getting us there and back safely.
Barbara was a wonderful tour guide. Be warned, this is a very long day with half the time spent on the bus. It’s a good way to “check the boxes” of seeing Siena, San Gimingnano and Pisa. But afterwards, me and my sister (both 30 years old) and our mom were absolutely beat. Prepare to get at least 20k steps and spend about an hour at each destination. We wished the tour could have just been to Siena and San Gimingnano. The trip to Pisa was 1hr 40 min there, and an hour 30 min back (nearly 3 hours in the bus to only be there for about an hour- and Pisa left much to be desired apart from getting the tower photo). If we could do it again, we’d pick a tour that focused on one area (like Siena and San Gimingnano). It was just too long of a day.
The overall experience was satisfactory. However, I suggest that our guide, Marina, endeavor to be more energetic and clear in her English delivery, as her accent occasionally presented comprehension difficulties. We noted a more positive experience with previous day trips. Additionally, a cautionary note for elderly participants: this tour involves a significant amount of walking, as bus stops are located at least 300 meters from each destination.
The trip was amazing! Marina was so nice and her smile made me feel so safe since I traveled alone.
Perfect 🤩 comfortable bus, nice guide!
You should be physically fit for this tour and have plenty of time. At each destination you have 15 minutes of walking to the attraction and an additional 15 walking back to the bus. Skip Pisa if you can. The winery was beautiful and the food was delicious. San Grimigiano (spelling) is a must see with great shopping and amazing views.
Our tour guide, Marina, was fantastic. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and always did so with a smile. Our bus driver, Francesco, was an absolute sweetheart—always cheerful, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We had a wonderful day thanks to both of them. I would highly recommend this tour to all my friends and anyone looking for a memorable experience. Your Montreal friends
Beautiful sight, amazing food
Excellent love the guide. Was professional and on time.
It was a great day. Barbara and her team were incredible to spend the day with. She was so knowledgeable about all the places we visited. She was friendly and kind, but also made sure the trip stayed on schedule. The highlight of the trip was lunch at the winery with the most beautiful views of Tuscany. One man at the winery was a bit rude and abrasive, but the rest of the staff was friendly and kind.
The bus was an issue. It was described as having WiFi and air conditioning. There was no WiFi and the AC was marginal at best. We ended up delayed on our return due to an accident and the 11.5 hour “tour” was closer to a 13 hours. The lack of sufficient AC made it seem even longer. Regarding the tour itself, the best part was the wine tasting and lunch at Agricola at Monteriggioni. Great wine, food and overall experience. A big surprise was San Gimignano. Siena and Pisa were “ho-hum”. SG was beautiful in a 15th century way. While Tuscany is a very beautiful part of Italy we spent way too many hours on a bus with marginal AC and no WiFi. It was maybe 50% of the ride. That really was a deal breaker for me. The long winding road down to Pisa was another one. Bring the Dramamine for those at risk for motion sickness.
Great tour, it’s a lot for one day but the tour company and guides make it awesome with interesting information and clear logistics. Niccolo was our overall guide, very nice gentleman. Chiara was our guide in Siena and she was so knowledgeable and funny.
This was a scam!!! No communication. Not present at the meeting point. Another company communicated with us, but no reservation. Viator refuses to refund our money. With 6 people involved, this was a VERY expensive scam. I have spent $$$$ with Viator, but never again. The help line continually hung up on me. We lost so much money and didn’t get to go one our tour.
Lovely Time! Gorgeous views. I honestly did think the food served for lunch was slightly average to what i know Italy can provide, but the wines were fantastic. Our guide was lovely.
Our tour was with Barbara and she was very informative and inclusive in all aspects. Barbara arranged accommodations as needed. Overall tour was great to be able to see the Tuscan side in one full day, although about 1-2 hours were spent in each location and the rest was travel but that is something to expect coming from Florence. I would definitely do this tour again! Be prepared to walk 20k steps.
READ BOTTOM 3 PARAGRAPHS FOR TIPS ON PISA & SAN GIMIGNANO. 10 years ago, I did almost an identical tour. It feels as though the service industry as a whole has declined. You pay more for less. While our tour guide was great, my main complaint is that I had expected an English tour and it was bilingual because there were 4 Spanish speakers. This drastically limited how much our tour guide could share because she had to repeat everything in a 2nd language. And while her English was perfectly fine, she did have an accent, so sometimes I thought she was still doing the Spanish translation, but realized she had switched back to English and I missed information because I had tuned out during the Spanish. Secondly, when we came 10 years ago, we got an amazing tour of the winery and farm, a 3-course lunch with dessert and extra wine, and very personal attention from the winery hosts for at least 90 minutes, if not 2 hours. This time, you get 1 hour, there's SO many people (2 groups crammed together, and our group alone had 34 people which was apparently "small"), no tour of the winery, and almost no communication from the hosts. While the winery is beautiful and the views spectacular, there is just no hospitality, and the food left much to be desired--mostly bread, cheese, and sliced meats. No dessert, only 3 small tastings of wine. Some people at our table had the "vegetarian" option which I almost wish I picked because it was a full plate of balsamic parmesan squash which looked delicious. In San Gimignano, last time our tour guide showed us the best view, this time we had to Google it--"Parco della Rocca"-- TIP: make sure to keep walking because the view gets better. You won't have any time for shopping, so consider staying a couple days in a nearby hotel to truly appreciate it. This is what we did so we missed the Siena portion of the tour. As for Pisa, make sure you get the free Cathedral ticket right away, because we didn't realize it was timed entry, so we got the ticket with 30 minutes left, and the timed entry was for an hour after we left so we couldn't enter. However, I highly recommend taking the 10-minute walk to "Caffè Antiche Terme". Perhaps our best cafe experience in Italy so far. Lastly, the tour guide and bus driver were very accommodating as we brought our suitcases to put underneath so we could get off at San Gimignano for our hotel. While I sound negative in the review, the locations are still so amazing that it's worth doing the tour and I gave it 4 stars. You can't miss seeing the beauty of Tuscany.
This is a great tour. The tour guide was very knowledgable in the locations visited and the towns we drove by. The wine tasting was fun but the food was pretty average. Timing for everything went smoothly. We would have liked a bit more time in Siena and less time in Pisa but all in all was an excellent tour and well worth the money.
Great tour and stress free, Barbara and the team looked after us throughout the trip. Very informative and not an over load of information. Wine tasting and lunch was wonderful with great views. Had a wonderful day seeing all three sights.
At one in the morning on a Friday, I thought I was booking the tour for Sunday. Immediately upon booking, I realized that I booked it for the same day, six hours later. I immediately called Viator got them on the phone, and emailed and texted the tour operator explaining that it was the wrong date and please change it to Sunday. I tour said they could do nothing because it was the same date, but that first thing in the morning I would hear from them because they were closed. The tour company reached out to me after 9 AM, when the tour was meeting at 7 AM,. They said “ we can’t change the date, and ,no refund will be given.” !!!! I wasted over $200 in a matter of minutes. An honest mistake, which I realized immediately. Horrible operator! Never again would I book anything with them. They were so robotic and unsympathetic and uninterested in helping me. Ignored my text and my follow up email. we were so disappointed. Do not book with them! And shame on Viator for not doing anything either. I have booked so many tours with them.
Did not explain you had to walk and walk to a bus in the rain. It was a fast pace and we had a hard time keeping up. Then they dropped us in the dark at the same parking lot!! Would have Done another tour if I had known we had to run all day.
We had Luciano the tour guide and luciano the driver both were good I was some what irritated that before we got on and off the coach there was at least 15mins walk to and from the coach not sure why they had to park so far away was conducive for such a large group especially navigating busy roads and small pavements. Luciano was knowledgeable he translated in both English and Spanish however just needs to slow down it was a bit of a challenge understanding everything he said
It was a wonderful experience and truly the best way to cover the nearby towns from Florence Siena, San Gimignano, and Pisa. Our guide, Barbara, was amazing. She was extremely informative, friendly, and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and well taken care of. The only improvement I would suggest is including a vineyard visit as part of the winery stop, perhaps with a brief explanation of the wine-making process. I was expecting that in addition to the wine tasting and lunch. That said, the lunch itself was absolutely amazing and very well organized. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend!
I think very worth it for the price! Just wish there was slightly longer in San Gimingano and the day started with Pisa and ended with Siena.
Excellent experience knowing three cities and the wine house. Be prepared for a 12 hrs tour, its tired but worth it 100%.
One of the best tours to take! I Highly recommend! The best tour guide as well!! I don't remember her name, but she was from Brazil, Extremely patient, knowledgeable, explained everything, very clearly, with lots of examples. Excellent tour!! 🌟
The cities we visited were beautiful. The tour in Sienna was in English and Spanish. They did not let us know they were combined, so that was not something I appreciated. The tour was very short and it was difficult to understand the guide. The winery was a great experience and they accommodated vegan and gluten free diets! It was a lot to pack in one day, but worth the effort when you don't have a lot of time to split up the areas.
It was good. The wine tasting and lunch were fantastic. Our sommelier, Ben was very knowledgeable and helpful. Just not enough time in Siena and San Gimignano. Would skip Pisa especially if you arrive before it closes. Felt very rushed.
We booked this day trip during our visit to Florence, and it was a truly wonderful experience! The sights, the history we learned, the flavors, and of course the wine were all fantastic. The monuments and the medieval towns we visited were amazing as well. But what really made this experience perfect was our guide, Anna, who was incredibly pleasant, helpful, and shared so much interesting information with us. Her colleague, along with Franco, our bus driver, were also great and together they made the ideal team for this day trip. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing day! Everything was smooth and on time making it easy to see several spots without the stress. We had plenty of time for pictures in Pisa, delicious food paired with wine at the winery and beautiful views in San Gimignano and Siena. Our driver was safe and the bus was clean. Our tour guide was friendly and informative. Definitely recommend!
Ana, Franco, and assistant did a great job today. It was our first experience and we love it. We would do it again if Ana was our tour guide.
Great experience, tour guides very knowledgeable. Chianti experience is recommended. Wonderful bus tour for sightseeing.
Good experience. Anna our guide was very good. The wine tasting experience was good. We missed the tour when it left by barely 3 to 4 minutes. Would have appreciated had they waited. As we had already informed them that we will take only a couple of minutes. We then caught up with the tour in Pisa.
It was very good, our guide Anna was exceptional with her explanations and everything was super clear and organized. Her tips are very useful and helpful. Locations visited were magical especially the winery and San Giminiano.
Ana was fantastic! Truly a pleasure full of history. The driver was great as well! Felt safe amongst the entire trip. Be ready to walk
The best tour I ever did! The instructor Ana is very good, the soul of the tour! Everything was on time and the bus was very comfortable. Also, the Wine tasting was amazing!
We had an amazing time on our tour, and Ana was a fantastic guide! She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun and engaging. Ana shared so many interesting stories and insights about each place we visited, and her passion for the region really showed. She kept everything running smoothly while still giving us plenty of time to explore and enjoy the sights. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide—thank you, Ana, for making our tour truly memorable!
Lots of walking, but worth it to see some of the sights. The tour guide was very talkative and walked the entire time on the bus and rushed us in between places. Nice sights to see, originally booked something else but ended up on this one because it was canceled last minute.
Amazing tour with amazing guide that made the whole tour mesmerizing. We were lucky to have Anna as our tour guide. She made the tour. Anna was knowledgeable, helpful and explained the history and culture of the area in details. Highly recommend.
It was such a great experience, our tour guide Anna was wonderful in keeping us entertained, letting us know where to go and meet, and making the overall experience memorable! Highly recommend !
Loved the experience, very nice guide Dani was really nice, on time and gave is a lot of nice information on our way !!! Its a long day but the time on the bus is kind of good too relax. The time in pisa is short but ok to see the square quick and take photos. The time in siena could be a little longer too but since we were tired, was enough to see around the city, the Duomo and squares! We loved san geminiano, a really Nice atmosphere, we get the low cost tour, and we have lunch on Le vechie Mura, and it was fabulous, the food and the view! And we had more time to get to know the city! Also so , the driver, sara, was a really good driver
This tour was really good and our guide Stanislava was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking this tour if you're coming to Florence and want to visit other cities too.
