This was the perfect day. Started with a tour of the winery, then on to the Vespas. The guide was a true professional and lead the group with confidence. We stopped a few times for photos and rode by amazing wine country. After the ride it was back to the winery for snacks and chatting with newly made friends.

A wonderful and different way to experience the beautiful Tuscan countryside! There is a tour of the wine cellar, then taking a quick test drive, before hitting the open road! You’ll see stunning landscapes and at the finish, enjoy a tray of cheeses, cold cuts, breads, pasta and wines - all explained by a knowledgeable sommelier!! It’s an unforgettable experience, feeling like a local, riding uour Vespa! IMPORTANT: you must have your valid driver’s license, in order to drive the Vespa and you will need to buy insurance, on site (approx €35) before riding.
This would be ok if you know how to drive a Vespa or motorcycle, but this is not a tour for beginners despite what the website says. You have two tries to learn how to drive the Vespa after a quick 5 minute “here’s how you do it” and if you’re unable to do their test, you’re either stuck riding with one of the staff/someone else or if there’s not enough spots you’re forced to stay back at the villa. “The tour is perfect for all skill levels. We start with a lesson on operating the Vespa on a private road, allowing beginners to get comfortable with driving.” is not an accurate representation. On top of this, they sell you when you check in on a €30 per person insurance in case of damage to the Vespa. But if you can’t pass the test and ride with someone else they won’t refund it since “you used it during the lesson” Giving two stars since the area, winery, and lunch were nice But if you’re a beginner who has never ridden a Vespa before, don’t do this tour.
It was excellent!! Loved the Tuscan countryside and the tour of the winery was so interesting. My favorite part was driving the Vespa’s! Only wished it was longer! Lunch was delicious. Wonderful experience!!
Hi there, If you want a chilled ride out in the country with a brilliant guide and then to be treated to a lovely family produced wine with snacks! Then this is definitely for you!!
Fun day! Joel did a nice job giving us ideas for dinner. He also dropped us off near Michaelango park and rose garden. They were able to provide us a private tour for our family!
My absolute favorite tour on my Tuscany vacation! Dejan was incredible! Helpful, but also very funny! The drive was nice and Dejan took time to get to know each of us. Asking name, where we were from, and what jobs we had and followed it up with questions to get to know us. Marco did a fabulous job teaching us about wine and even food. He did an incredible job cooking! Everyone had to pass a driving test, two people in my group could not, but they didn’t mind because they got to ride with an instructor and still enjoy the Tuscan view from Vespa. Lunch was phenomenal! Had a nice cheese and meat board and then a fabulous pasta dish with lots of wine. Would highly recommend this tour.
Dajn, Alexis, and Mario were absolutely fantastic from start to finish! This wasn’t an outstanding experience riding Vespas through the Tuscany countryside. The winery, tour, and tastings with Mario were 5-stars! Thank you to Tuscany Cycle for a fabulous and memorable afternoon!
My family booked the Vespa and winery tour with Tuscany Cycles because it was the experience my daughter was most excited about during our trip to Florence. Although the scenery, winery, lunch, and riding through Tuscany were enjoyable, our experience during the Vespa training overshadowed the entire day for our family, which is why I cannot recommend this company based on our experience. During the training, each inexperienced rider was asked to practice riding while the rest of the group stood on both sides of a gravel road watching. My daughter was already very nervous and had even told me beforehand that she thought she should just ride as a passenger with her husband. I encouraged her to at least try. When it was her turn, she panicked and nearly rode into the people watching before stopping the Vespa. Thankfully, no one was hurt. She laughed immediately afterward because she was embarrassed—a nervous reaction that many people have in stressful situations. Our family laughed too, partly because we were trying to ease the awkwardness and help her feel better, and partly because watching the Vespa wobble back and forth was, in the moment, a funny sight. We were not laughing at the seriousness of what had happened or suggesting that safety wasn't important. Instead of handling the situation with a calm explanation, Alexa and the owner, Dejan, raised their voices and reprimanded her in front of the entire group. Dejan yelled at our family using the F- word. A few minutes later, after my daughter was already crying, Alexa came back over, raised her voice again, and continued scolding her for laughing. I explained that the laughter was a reaction to embarrassment and that the incident had been an accident. I also told Alexa that she had now embarrassed my daughter a second time in front of everyone. I completely understand that safety must come first, and once it was clear my daughter wasn't comfortable driving, she was fine to ride as a passenger with her husband for the remainder of the tour. We had absolutely no issue paying for her to ride as a passenger. That wasn't the problem. The problem was how the situation was handled. There was no need to continue reprimanding a guest who was already embarrassed, especially in front of the rest of the group. To make matters worse, Dejan told my daughter and our family that we had "killed the vibe," when in reality it was the way the situation was handled that changed the atmosphere for us. After witnessing this, I no longer felt comfortable trying to drive a Vespa myself. I was so intimidated by the instructors' reactions that I was nervous just getting on as a passenger. I appreciate that teaching new riders requires taking safety seriously, and I would have completely understood if they had simply decided my daughter should ride as a passenger. My disappointment stems entirely from how the situation was handled. I believe guests can be corrected, kept safe, and even removed from driving if necessary without being yelled at or repeatedly scolded in front of an entire group. I hope Tuscany Cycles views this as constructive feedback and considers handling similar situations with more patience and professionalism in the future.
This is the tour to experience the true Italian countryside at its finest. The tour begins at a lovely private farm and vineyard in the Chianti region. There is a private tour of the winery with a sommelier followed by a relaxing Vespa tour of the picturesque Italian countryside. The Vespa ride is capped by wine and lunch in a beautiful setting. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend this tour more highly.
My wife and I had a delightful day riding vespas and wine tasting. The countryside is beautiful as is the vineyard where we had lunch and wine tasting. Recommend highly as a Tuscany countryside excursion!
It was a great experience. It would have been nice to see more of the vineyard during the tour. Also, it would have been nice to have the lunch outdoors.
Don’t provide much training on the Vespa and then don’t let you ride unless you pass their test. Wasted $600 on antipasto and pasta with a good view.
Had an amazing time we loved it. We were worried if we couldn't use the vespa that we would loose our money but no, they provided cute little fiat cars so we could still join the fun we loved driving in the country side good food and company great tour guide who spoke good English and was very knowledgeable.
We had lovely time with Odd, Alexa and Lorenzo on our Vespa tour! They were very friendly and knowledgeable about wines. The estate where we had our lunch was beautiful!
Alexa and Dejan always deliver! We did the Vespa tour for the first time (have been a cyclist renting a bike from them in the past). Such a s great experience from saying our greetings to being served fresh local Chianti w our chef prepared meal. Thanks to Odd, that’s our somm guide/chef/wine cellar tour guide, we had a super day. Full of laughs, 4 different wines, thru dessert and a fun van ride back to the city. Loved this perfect day in FLR! Carey and Goody Mesa, AZ
What an adventure!!! Alexa and Odd (yes, Odd) were our guide and host for this tour, which was nothing short of amazeballs. My wife was very nervous, but with some coaching and training, we navigated the Tuscan countryside, drinking in some incredible scenery, with incredible wine, food, and conversation with new friends. I can’t recommend this tour enough. We had so much fun and was such a great way to start our day.
I admire the professionalism of the organizers because I had booked the activity for Easter Sunday and although there were only 2 people, they kept the activity and did not cancel. Also, loved the countryside and the wine!
This was on my Bucket List and it did not disappoint! The owner and guide Ott were both extremely kind and friendly. Every view looked like a picture perfect postcard. The villa was so beautiful, it looked like a movie set. Thanks for a great day!
While we originally booked for a sunset tour we were asked to join the morning session, and we had a great time. The guide was knowledgable and made sure we were all safe and had a great time.
Terrific experience, amazing guide and gorgeous views, we recommend booking directly through their website!!
Fabulous from start to finish! Our guides were fun, safe and provided an amazing tour! Loved the villa and the wine!!
We had a wonderful time on our Vespa and Wine Tasting tour in Tuscany! Our guide Luca was amazing! He was very patient with us as 3 in our group didn’t have any previous experience. Once we got going we got the hang of handling our Vespas! The scenery was incredible as we drove through Tuscany! We then had a wonderful time at the winery sampling different wines and food! Luca was very knowledgeable about all the different wines! Highly recommend this tour!
This was the BEST tour ever! our guide Luca was so much fun and had us laughing the whole way. We saw the beautiful country side and tasted amazing wine & lunch was delicious! 10/10 would recommend.
Riding Vespas thru the country roads of small town Tuscany is a blast. It's a bit dangerous because you're riding with real traffic along winding and hilly roads, but there's no shame in opting to ride as a passenger instead. We started with a tour of the winery, then got a 10-15 minute moto riding lesson, then went on the 20-25 minute Vespa ride with Alexa. Then we returned to enjoy wine and delicacies at the Tuscan vineyard. It's a great way to spend half a day in Tuscany.
Dejan is very friendly and personable. The transportation to the venue is comfortable and nice w ac. The Vespa portion was SO fun. The scenery is breathtaking. Luca does a great job of understanding the winery and wines. We were in Italy 9 days w 6 excursions and this was our FAVORITE!
So fun! Luka is the champion sommelier in Italy and was a fabulous host. We ended up doing the tasting after test driving the vespa and realizing the curvy roads were not a good match with our skills. A great experience overall!
Great experience. Luca and Alexa were outstanding hosts. Area and winery were beautiful. Vespa ride exhilarating.
So fun, excellent and patient with is on the Vespa tour. Winery was neat and beautiful. Loved the sunset on the way back
This is a great tour! You should do it! Tuscany Cycle makes sure you are confident in riding the Vespa before you do it. If not, you ride with the guide. Very entertaining. The sunset tour was beautiful and the antipasto and wine were fabulous!
25 minute ride out of town in van. 35 minute skill teaching class. 45 minute ride on Vespa. 45 minutes at Winery. 25 minute ride in van back to Town. Beautiful Scenery but would have enjoyed more ride time.
Just completed the best Tuscany Vespa tour. We couldn’t have been in better hands with Dejan and Frederico. Highly recommend and would definitely do again. Such attention to detail and safety while being so entertaining. They thought of everything and lunch was exquisite! Bravissima!
Great fun, delicious wine and food. Real fantastic quide i view ! Recomend from heart. Hope to be back soon. Grazzie mille, Diego !
this was an awesome day and experience. highly recommend!!! travelling italy is often full of 15,000 steps through crowds of people. this was the perfect getaway from the hustle. the views were incredible!!! I drove a vespa… my mom rode with the guide and i was jealous of the scenery she was able to take in (the other couple rode together). guide was engaging and patient. overall 10/10 day and experience - i recommend you book it!
The hosts were fantastic - on many levels. They made sure everyone was safe and comfortable driving the Vespa. That’s priority #1. If you weren’t (like me), you ride on the back of your partner’s Vespa or with the host. They kept us on countryside roads that occasionally had cars, but again, they kept us safe. It was a blast riding with my husband! The hosts’ personality was engaging and welcoming. So nice and funny!! After the ride, you’ll enjoy a lovely light lunch and some wine. Lunch started with cheese and meats and pasta followed. The right portion for a mid-day meal. If you want to get out of the city for a few hours and experience the countryside close up, I recommend considering this tour.
What a great excursion! This was the highlight of our trip (myself, husband and 16 & 19 year old kids). We loved driving the Vespas in the country. My daughter rode on the back of the tour guide since she wasn’t old enough. What beautiful views! The winery & lunch were amazing! Luca was very knowledgeable & our guide Alexa was a pleasure! Highly recommend!!!
We loved our Vespa evening ride and wine tasting and tour. Alexa was super knowledgeable about the wine and the property. She answered all of our questions and guided us through the history, the region and how this family’s treasure came to be. We now have a greater appreciation for Chianti- and we loved it and bought a bottle; truly delightful. Most of all, Alexa was an awesome Vespa country side guide. My first time riding the Vespa and she patiently taught me how to ride confidently. She lead us through the beautiful picturesque countryside and little towns— it was a dream come true for me and my husband. Definitely a highlight of our honeymoon. (And Alexa stopped at a couple of instagram able areas and took pics for keepsakes, too!) Thank you, Alexa!
Alexa, Luke & Luca were amazing!! Spectacular Vespa ride through the Tuscan vineyards, - we always felt safe! Really cool quick tour thru the family wine making room and barrel wine cellar. Tasted 2 amazing wines accompanied by the best Parmesan cheese( drizzled with honey) I’ve ever had, Italian cured meats, crusty breads drenched in their olive oil and a delicious pasta dish! We are still talking about what an amazing time we had and how it’s one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommend!
Super fun! Incredible scenery, great wine tasting, fabulous guides. If you want to experience Tuscany country life, you need to do this tour!
Alexa was very careful to make sure everyone would be safe rising a Vespa. The ride was fun and the wine tasting excellent with a gracious host, Valentina who provided a wonderful lunch and allowed us to sample many wines.
Great views, vespas were very pretty and the trip was nice. Food was just ok (not good enough for the price) and wine was ok
Fantastic experience! Dejan and Damien were exceptional tour guides. We enjoyed the evening vespa ride through the countryside. The wine tasting and vineyard tour was a highlight of our trip. Dejan also brought us to Plaza de Michelangelo to watch the sunset. This excursion was one of the best experiences we have had in Florence. We highly recommend this tour!!!
This was a great tour - fun ride, amazing views, great food, and great wine! Our guides were funny and engaging. The winery was absolutely beautiful.
I mean… wow. Where else do you get to ride vespas through the county roads of Tuscany and then enjoy wine and lunch at a local winery immediately after. This was one of those experiences that I will hold with me forever. Our tour was all couples, but my friend and I (21 yrs old) still had so much fun. At first you take a van from the middle of Florence out of the city about 20 minutes, then they do an intro to the winery and the wine cellars. After that they do a “Vespa school”… aka a quick lesson on how to ride the Vespas and a trial run to see if you’re fit to take them on the road. If not, you have the option to be a passenger (either with the person you came with or with an instructor). I personally was a passenger and had the best time looking over the rolling hills full of olive trees, vineyards, and castles of Tuscany during our ride. After that, you finish with a lunch (antipasto, primo, & dessert) and you taste two of the local wines. They served us the best honey I think I’ve ever had in my life and I will be dreaming of it forever. As for the wine, it was incredible. I’d like to add that the tour guides … Alexa and Dejan… were wonderful. They made us feel comfortable (even though I definitely was not on the Vespa) and were so kind and welcoming. They also will help with recs or anything you need! Overall, I would absolutely spend the money on this tour again, as it was honestly the best day of my trip.
Dejan, Alexa, and Luca were the best tour guides and made for a great experience. They were very informative and helpful and made sure beginner vespa riders were comfortable before riding. Would definitely recommend this tour as we saw incredible views and had a great wine tasting with great foods and wine. It was my first time to Florence and Tuscany and I had an amazing time and this truly made the experience. I would do again coming back in the future!
We just went on the Tuscany Vespa tour and enjoyed every minute of our experience. After an easy check in, we took a van to the winery. We had 11 people in our family and another family also attended our time slot too! At the winery you take turns trying out the Vespa and seeing if you will be a good enough driver for the Vespa tour..this was important since you are going to be driving on roads and hills in the region. (You do go up and down a steep area on actual roads with cars) Alexa and Dejan did a great job of figuring out who was able to drive themselves and who should be passengers. I'm sure some of our group stressed them out but they were very patient and made it work so we had enough drivers and passengers for our day. There were 15 people who thought they would be drivers, and when we actually toured there was 8 drivers and the rest were passengers. This literally was the safest for everyone involved. We didn't get the GoPro package but it worked out since we had so many passengers. I do suggest the package if you do not have a passenger, the experience is very unique and as your driving, you dont get to really check out the scenery as much as a passenger would but I loved every minute of it! During the Vespa driving tour we did stop once to get off and take pictures. The area is beautiful!! At the winery, Lucca took us on a tour of the winery and then provided us with charcuterie, pasta and wine. The food and wine was delicious and we purchased olive oil for souvenirs. Not enough room for the wine! On the way back, they asked if we wanted to be brought back to the original location or dropped off at a look out point with a beautiful rose garden. We option that and it was only a 10 minute walk back to the heart of Florence. This was one of our favorite things we did in Florence and for sure a top 3 of our whole European 17 day trip. I highly recommend this tour, it was worth every penny!! Thank you again to Dejan, Alexa and Lucca for the wonderful day!!!
Lived the dream! The tour through the countryside was beautiful. We had such fun and friendly guides in Dejan and Alexa, they made the experience so memorable. Bonus points for them driving us home past Piazzale Michelangelo to catch the Florentine sunset! The sommelier at the Fattoria San Pancrazio winery was really pleasant as well. We appreciated all the detail he went into while explaining the history of the farm and the process of creating different flavors. Olive oil to die for, I brought some back with us! Note that it helps if you already have a little knowledge of riding a Vespa or something similar, because you get a couple test tries, but they only have so much time before they decide if you can be safe on the road or not (I get it, I wouldn’t want to spend all day in the parking lot either if it cuts into the actual tour).
Such a fun and memorable experience! We rode Vespas through the Tuscan countryside, took in the most beautiful views, and ended with a delicious lunch at a winery—complete with fresh pesto. Highly recommend if you’re in Florence!
This was a perfect activity to escape the crowds in Florence and see beautiful Tuscany. Alexa was a very engaging guide. Provided training and tips for both riders and passengers. We took a nice ride then got to enjoy a fabulous lunch at the winery, paired with excellent wines. Wonderful day, and my husband and daughter were so thrilled to do this instead of “another museum.” Would definitely do this again.
My wife and I did the Vespa tour with Iris and Dejan. It was SO much fun! I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is out in Italy for vacation. Iris and Dejan were both amazing! Iris was so nice, she cooked us dinner at the winery, which included lots of local ingredients that they grow at the winery (olive oil, grappa, the wine obviously) which was all sooo amazing. She made us pasta, which was also delicious. She also gave us a tour of the winery that was so much fun. She was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Dejan was fantastic! He led us on the tour, and even stopped to take photos of us with an absolutely stunning backdrop. We sat around and talked for 20 minutes after the photos, he has such a cool life story and has such a positive outlook on life. And he’s also so funny! He definitely dreams of being a professional photographer 😂 and could probably do it because he was really good! I can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience. Definitely the coolest thing we have done.
