Excellent hands on class. Made a 4 course meal that we got to enjoy at the end. The instructor was knowledgeable and helpful. Ideal activity for a solo traveller. I will definitely make the pasta at home. Thank you!

We had a blast making great food. Our group was fun and the chef did a great job of making sure everyone was comfortable while cooking.
My husband woke up sick on the morning of our cooking course, despite the policy of needing 24 hours to cancel, Viator responded quickly to my messages and contacted the service provider directly and asked if we could reschedule, which they kindly did. The Tuscan Cooking Course was fabulous, learnt so much and the food we made was delicious. It was also a great way to meet some fellow travellers.
Really enjoyed the steps of making the food. The booklet that I got with the full recipe. Our assistant was very helpful especially with the pasta making.
Teacher was thorough, and simplified the processes and recipes, but her lovely heavy Italian accent was sometimes difficult to understand (English speaking class). The recipe sheets we received didn’t necessarily represent the recipes we made. Everyone performed the same tasks for each recipe. I took another cooking class in Florence several years ago and we made the same recipes. However, every person made a different course. For this cooking class, everyone contributed to each course. I finally learned to make pasta! The food we made was delicious! I didn’t realize class would take place in a cooking school, so atmosphere was less homey than I would have liked. Classmates were fun tho and made up for it. Stingy with the wine for dinner
Naomi our instructor was a great teacher. She made it very enjoyable and informative. We always got a chance to meet some really friendly people in class. We made all 4 courses which is more than we did in other classes.
Katerina (?) was very instructive, patient and personable. My friend and I had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Seeing a professional chef’s skills gave me many helpful tips for my meal preparations. I would recommend this experience to anyone.
The instructors and the food were wonderful!! We were disappointed that so many had to share the same work station, but it was a fun experience.
My daughter and I did this class together. I cannot say enough good things about this cooking class experience and the value received for the money. The setting for eating dinner is lovely and the class area is an authentic culinary school setting. Portions are substantial and delicious. Our teacher, Chef Kathlena was so sweet and an excellent teacher. Meeting new people during the experience made it fun! By far my favorite experience of the trip. We made an appetizer, pasta and tomato sauce, chicken, and dessert. Plus two glasses of chianti. Recipe booklets at the end make it possible to repeat at home. Learned a few new tricks for cutting onions, garlic, and basil I never knew of. 4 hours flew by! They will make exceptions and double check day of for dietary restrictions or allergies. Bery clean environment and lots of hand washing between prep sessions by participants, so felt at ease in that way. We just loved it! Thank you!
We enjoyed making a four course meal. It was very well-organized and educational. We made a delicious appetizer, fettuccine, a chicken in a sauce and tiramisu. Dinner was ample and festive 😋. Catarina was an excellent instructor.
Great experience - the class was detailed and the staff was very nice. We learned a lot, ate a ton and met lots of other nice traveleres! Highly recommend!
The food was great and it was such a fun time!! The chefs were so nice and accommodating to us. I only wished my husband could join, there was an extra seat at our table but they would nit allow him because they said they were booked. Other than that it was great!
Amazing experience! Our instructor was very knowledgeable and gave great tips on improving various techniques. We cooked delicious dishes and makes great friends.
Incredible experience! Loved receiving the recipes after the class to be able to relive the experience.
This is a very nice cooking class with a knowledgeable staff and chances to work hands on. Only comment to make is to not rely on the sample menu to make a decision. I picked this class because risotto was on the menu rather than making fresh pasta. I know how to make fresh pasta and was trying to avoid such a class. Not complaining, just providing a word to the wise. Food was excellent, could have been a little more generous with the wine (1 bottle for six people was IMHO a little skimpy) but all in all a decent experience though I will probably not repeat it. Cheers!
The instruction was good and the food tasted amazing but we thought we would be more hands on and not sharing with a group of 6
The cooking class and the meals we prepared were fantastic. Greta, our chef/instructor was superb. Very informative and easy to follow instructions. Only negative was there was another class or two going on at the same time. By the time we ate the dining area was packed and noisy. Somewhat of a let down after the intimate class of 15 people. It would have been nice to relax and enjoy the meal we prepared and be able to converse. It appeared from the online description that it was a small class experience. The dining room resembled more of a cafeteria atmosphere.
Francisco was wonderful! He was welcoming, very informative and has an infectious laugh. We made a meal that was fantastic! He showed us every step, allowed us to ask questions and taught us ALL a thing or two about cooking we’d never known! Did you know to peel your mushrooms? If you have a chance to take one of these classes, you absolutely should. There was fun, fellowship and learning all wrapped into one experience!
The class takes place in a Florentian culinary school, and initially was a little daunting - I couldn't prepare one authentic Italian menu item, let alone four. But . . . we did it! It takes two hours to learn and prepare, and much less time to enjoy, with wine and mineral water. Such a trip adds depth to one's travel. Yes, we'd do this again (and this is not our first cooking course.) Top Tip: Remember to take a recipe sheet with you, these are provided at the end of the evening after dinner. Thank you Greta and Stefano.
The cooking class was one of the highlights of our italian trip. The meals were simple yet delicious. Our chef was a pro but fun. We had the chance to cook with a couple from another country and make new friends. Well worth the time and cost!!
So much fun!! Loved the chefs who help prepare our amazing Italian dinner. Leaned a lot and met some very nice people in our group!
The guide had left the meeting spot; we were at the cooking school before the class began. the chefs at the cooking school suggested we call the travel company which we did and they would not give us the insurance we needed, even though the cooking school said they could do it over the phone. Ridiculous.
Public Health needs to pay them a visit! Very dirty, they don’t believe in hygiene, food hair on cutting board, staff were miserable, didn’t even eat the food we made, we had PIGS in the group that ATE IT ALL. Had to grab a pizza after the class to eat. Not worth the money very disappointing.
This was the worst experience of our trip! 1. Your NOT IN Tuscany hill side/farm your in a unit away from the centre 2. Your NOT with chief’s your with normal people that tell you how to cook the food 3. Not CLEAN! No GLOVES & NO HYGIENE IT WAS GROSS Public Health needs to pay a visit. 4. WE DIDN’T even eat the food we cooked bc 2 people ate it ALL 5. IT WAS DISGUSTING 6. The chief’s as they call themselves, we’re not even friendly at all. The lady got out faster than her group! 7. TOTALY NOT WORTH THE PRICE I PAID TO FEED OTHERS OR THE EXPERIENCE, I had to go and eat a pizza after the class 8. The menu they give you at the end of the class I throw it out the food was very BASIC to cook 9. We found HAIR on the cutting board while cutting the veggies. 10. THEY Do NOT clean the table, they just wipe it down. GROSS, HYGIENE, GERMS, 11. People are licking their fingers and touching the food & they aspect you to eat it! 12. Will NEVER DO THIS AGAIN WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
The course is very well organized, the people are professionals and available .The higyene level is excellent The meal was simple and delicious, the other participants were all very pleasant and ready to learn and enjoy themselves. An activity to be recommended.
Took the class with my two teenage daughters. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Our chefs were so friendly and funny. We made a delicious 4 course meal, getting instructions and tips throughout the session. Then we sat down to enjoy the meal. A very memorable time with my kids!
Canceled after it was too late for us to schedule anywhere else. Very disappointed. A refund wasn't enough. And we had to contact Trip advisor to cancel and get our refund
Fun night and the food we made was great. Our group took.all the cooking jobs so I just watched. Otherwise it was fine.
Had a great time preparing and enjoying the meal. Great, tasty recipes which we were given printed copies of to take home. Chefs were clear in giving instruction and guidance.
Fun class where we learned how to cook 4 new dishes. We cook a lot at home so we will be adding a few of these dishes into our rotation. It was great to cook in small groups then have a community meal together.
Actually, we never made it to this activity due to several factors and it’s really nobody’s fault. First, our train into Florence was delayed, which gave us about 1 hour to make it to the meeting point (we were supposed to arrive 2 hours earlier). We checked into our AirBnB and threw our bags in and ran out the door to attempt to make it to the meeting point on time. Second, the torrential rain that had started made it very difficult to navigate the streets. Third, the meeting location was not very easy to find as our GPS kept giving us erroneous directions. Needless to say, by the time we arrived, the group had left. Like I mentioned, it was not the fault of the vendor or anyone else but the circumstances just didn’t work out for us.
Truly was a must to do while in Florence. Our 2 daughters throughly enjoyed learning how to make an authentic 3 course Italian dinner. Our chef was warm and made us feel like we were cooking in our own kitchen. Would highly recommend & would book again if we are able to return.
Great chef and clear instructions Would highly recommend the evening. Very well organized and the quality of food wine was more than adequate Phillip
We had so much fun at this cooking class! Stephano was am amazing instructor and showed us how to make gnocchi, appetizers, chicken, and a dessert with ease. Even though I am a teacher, I have never seen a more calm and patient instructor. He let us know we didn’t have to worry if we didn’t remember the recipe, we would get one upon departure. The food was delicious, and we shared it after cooking everything. We did not have to do the cleaning or more difficult preparation, like cutting the meat, but it was clear how to do it. Francesco was a terrific host, and we were surprised to learn that his paintings graced the dining area. We loved each minute, made friends, had a great dinner and, best of all, didn’t have to clean up. What could be better! I highly recommend this memorable experience.
This was a very fun experience. We learned a couple of cooking tricks and got some easy to prepare recipes. The meal we prepared was delicious.
The teachers were very Patient and the other participants were lots of fun. It was great to learn cooking tips, prepare, and then eat your food with people who had become your friends. Wonderful experience and highly recommended.
Fransisco was our instructor and he was excellent. Informative and entertaining. I am not a cook but this experience was great. Highly recommend.
We had a blast. Gretta was our chef, she did a great job helping us lean a lot of tricks of the trade for making our meal like a pro. The food was amazing, the entire group got along well and enjoyed the experience. Well worth doing while in Florence.
Great group of people though a few less attendees would have provided a more hands on experience. Staff professional & location was good. Menu varied from when advertised.
It was a fun experience. Our class was fairly small, so that was also nice. The meal we prepared was delicious.
Excellent cooking tips that I did not know about, even after cookung for 40 yrs. The chef was extremely knowledgeable.
First my complaint - very noisy space with so many other groups moving in and out. A rug or tapestry to dampen the sound perhaps? But on to the good and there is a lot of it! Caterina was so tremendously friendly and helpful and knowledgeable that preparing these four courses was a breeze. So easy! And everyone at the tables were able to get involved and take on different parts of the preparation. One of the beautiful parts of these food classes is that I don't have to do any of the dishes! I'm not sure if the dishes change so saying that we did a savory pumpkin flan for the starter and a sausage bechamel gnocchi for the first course and a chicken ragu covered in fresh veggies for the second course all crowned with a ricotta cake for dessert and a red wine to enjoy throughout (seems there is a cost for extra bottles here, water is free though and if the company is good get more wine) - saying that this is what we made might not mean it is what you will make. But we did get a small book with these recipes at the end and had a great journey from start to finish. Loved cooking here.
Lots of fun. Glad it was a group cooking class vs. a private one-on-one class... it added a fun dynamic! We had a great group and great chef. Amazing that we were able to cook a soup, appetizer, main dish, desert (and time to eat it all) in 4 hours. With the amount of people cooking, I would have expected the dining portions to be a little larger. But, overall, a great experience. Definitely highly recommended.
We loved this cooking experience! It was great for experienced cooks as well as novices. The instructors were charming and very good at explaining the nuances of preparation. And the dinner was delicious! I highly recommend this class!!
If I could go back in time and skip this cooking class I would. Nothing about it was fun or exciting. The class was small but you shared a cooking stations with other groups and also the food was mixed so you weren’t even eating the food you helped prepare. The dining room was crowded with both our class and another class. There was no goodbye at the end they just roll into another cooking class. Making you feel rushed. Nothing was personalized and the food was blah. I would definitely recommend finding a different cooking class!!
Great evening. Learned a lot - food was spectacular and the instructions were easy to follow. Wine was good too
Loved the small group atmosphere. Made 2 pastas and gnocchi. Best I have ever eaten. Instructor was very informative, pleasant, and helpful.
My wife and I had a great experience with this cooking class! We made practical, delicious dishes. We also met some wonderful people who were in our group. It was a very fun way to spend our first night in Florence.
Everything was well organized and the food was delicious! We made our 4 course meal, sat down together to eat it and then we received recipes to take home.
Great instruction to complete meal; Chef able to engage all 9 of us; Took home printed copy of all items. The one concern area-after eating the meal we waited about 40 minutes wondering if there would be any type of "closing" or "good bye". We finally just got up. There was another group that arrived so perhaps this is why it happened. Overall, though, a wonderful experience and would do a class again.
