Would have liked an experience with less crowding. Too much to see for a short time. I wish I knew there were elevators; lots of stairs.

Getting the skip the line tickets was organised and not too bad. There is still a line to wait for your time slot to open Re the Uffizi it is not a place to visit anymore sadly The hoards of people pushing and bumping are difficult Then to see the main art pieces one had to stand in long lines inside the Museum for over 45 mins per exhibit I would never go again L’Academia is also crowded but more manageable The Internet connection inside the museum is minimal so it is almost impossible to get the online guide and then in order to obtain and audio guide which I was perfectly ok to pay for ….. unless one leaves one’s drivers licence or passport with the audio desk as collateral … they will not give an audio guide This is not an acceptable arrangement Nowhere else in the world have I experienced this So all in all ….. a lot of negatives which is a sad situation
Seeing these collections first hand is a great pleasure, having the combo ticket gave the opportunity to indulge in one day, although you could easily go back as these collections are extensive. Highly recommend for those with a limited time in Florence.
This was one of the worst experiences with Viator. The cost was excessive for the little Viator did on this tour. I could have purchased tickets direct from the art galleries for about half the price. Typically Viator provides a guide. Without a guide we just wondered through the gallery not understanding the significance of what we were viewing. For the first time I am very disappointed. I would not recommend this tour.
Skip the Line tickets doesn’t mean you won’t be in a line! Italy is packed with tourists even in the off season.
Getting our tickets and then entering the Uffizi all went smoothly. No difficulties or confusion. We took high speed rail from Rome to Florence and back.
Transparency, tell that it is NOT a digital ticket And tell details about being late and where to pick up the tickets bevor the purchase
Really well co-ordinated with enough time to do both attractions. I would recommend pre-booking so as not to stand in the huge Q’s with people who have not booked.
We missed our tour completely and it was very expensive. There were no recommendations for parking and we had a car, as we traveled from Lucca. A representative called me 5 minutes away from our start time and yelled at me for still being in the car. I will pursue a partial refund at the least. Very disappointing as it was to be a highlight of our travels from Colorado to Italy
The representatives in Florence were barely functional, busy, and finally came-through, but they did not initially explain the process and procedure. We were just told to sit and wait more than once. We were not warned about the actual process of getting into the Ufizzi on an extremely busy day; only given minimal direction and instruction and sent on our way. More information is necessary for each of your ticket holders on a tight schedule!
We did not skip the line. We waited over an hour to get into uffizi museum. The activity cost almost 300$ and did not allow us to skip , this made for an exhausting day. I was disappointed. Hope for some refund for waste of time
Always skip the line if you’re able to do so. We went on our own self-guided tour around both museums and picked and chose what we wanted to see.
We were very disappointed with the Viator tour of the uffizzii and Academia in Florence Italy. When we scheduled this I spoke to the agent on the phone and was told I could go to either the uffizzi Museum or Academia first. We waited in line for the Academia as we wanted to go there first. When the appointed time was there we were unable to go in We were unaware we would have to get a ticket from City Tours. We found City Tours and had to wait for the representative who told us we would have to go to the city Tours Office and get a ticket for the Uffizzi Museum. We went to the office 1/2 hour away and were given the ticket for the uffizzi. We then were told we had go back to the Acadrmia within 1 1/2 hour. We requested later entrance for the Academia, but were told that was impossible. We knew this would not be possible as we had to wait 1/2 hour for the security at the Uffizzi Museum. As a result we were only able to go to the Uffizzi Museum. We were disappointed in Viator Skip the Line Academia and Uffizzi. And could not recommend this tour as the explanation and coordination was not at website or or in Florence at the office.
You must plan in advance to find locations to pick up tickets. We could not find the pick up place. We never found the Accademia pickup and missed seeing it entirely. Very frustrating!
There isn’t enough time on the tour to do the museums justice. The walk between is about one half hour. Tickets are not picked up at the museum, rather at a small shop near each museum.
We had to pick up paper tickets, not digital. The locations and very strict times for pick up were VERY INCONVENIENT!!! The skip the line ticket line was just as long as regular lines. Never again.
The staff working for the local booking agent were all very polite and helpful - however, although we did skip one queue to pick up the tickets for Uffizi - we had a 10-15 mins wait for the guide to get them and then still had to queue for security for about 20 mins, so it’s definitely NOT a queue free service - you don’t just walk in like celebrities and there was also fair bit of waiting around at the local booking agent for the ‘guide’ to be ready. The experience getting into the Academia was better, but then generally the queues were shorter as we went in mid afternoon so not sure how much time was saved. Tickets were actually available at the agents office when we arrived so that did make a difference.
Skip the line is a massive overstatement. You are given vague instructions out of sight of the Uffizi entrance and sent into an unwieldy, long security line that you cannot skip and there is no evidence at any point that you are skipping any entrance line ahead of anyone at all. There is not truth in advertising here
Be careful of joint tickets …they don’t provide details in complete form and choose their own timing that suits them and not what we want. We booked this for 1100 am combined ticket and upon reaching the office, they said , oh by the way your next one is at 230 pm and you need to collect the ticket from another office. No flexibility at all. The staff was too rude to even talk. Before that morning we tried contacting them over chat and no response. One suggestion, never book combined tickets and try to book directly online or thru a reputed travel directly. With Viator it’s not advisable as you don’t know what you get after money is gone . We paid for $300 and got worth only $100.
Great experience! Easy process to pick up the tickets. They even called me and sent a pin of their location!
Do not, I repeat, do not waste your money on this. Do yourself a favor and just buy separate tickets and save yourself probably €100. There is zero assistance with this and you can’t even call it a tour. In Uffizi, there is no “skip the line” anything. The directions to the office are horrible and don’t give you directions, just a vague description of where it’s at. There is no audio to listen to, nothing.
Skip the line is so worth it! Especially during the hot August sun! Opted to just skip the line and not have a tour guide for this tour.
Good for having booked lat minute. But, probably not worth the cost if you have time to book your own tickets. Lines were not long enough to warrant the need for skip the line tickets.
Easy to manage . Pick up your tickets at the store front, not a stranger on the street and enter the museum.
Excellent!! Collecting the tickets was easy and we were able to go at our own pace. Highly recommended.
The tour requires you to go to two separate ticket offices with a two and a half hour gap in between entry times.
The tourist office where we had to convert our voucher to a paper ticket was very difficult to locate. They advertise that it’s mere steps from the museum, but this is misleading, and no one from the museum seemed to know what the office was.
Super easy and quick entrance into both Uffizi and L’Accadamia. Perfect for folks without a lot of time - extra appreciative for their holding our spot despite our being late (through no fault of theirs). Very accomodating and flexible.
I’m grateful for the other reviewers so we were prepared for the voucher exchange. We did have to wait in line, but it moved pretty quickly. There is no guide, and you trade in your voucher for tickets at the operator’s stores. We set timers so we had enough time to walk between the two museums. I wish the operators advised us of the scammers that hang out on the route near the duomo. We grabbed gelato between the tours and were walking to the second office and were harassed by scammers and they forcefully put bracelets on my kids and then demanded money and were very hostile to the point we paid them to leave us alone so we could get where we needed to go. The second tour office looks different from the first and for some reasons google maps could not find the address as printed on the card from the first office. I’m not sure if the experience would have been different if we just purchased on our own from the museums themselves. We bought these because of the time and the fact that we were in Florence for two days and the second day was a Monday and both museums would have been closed.
We picked up tickets for Uffizi and Galleria in Florence. The offices to pick up tickets is very close to the museums; there are 2 different offices for each museum. Process was easy enough and quick. Thank you!
It was incredible to see such masterpieces, and the service was good. We did wish the museums were more fully air-conditioned, but that's certainly not a reason not to go.
Nice experience. Very efficient. Saved time with kids to not have to stand in line. There is still a small line for security.
They still put you in the line. You do not jump the line. Still easier than buying the tickets yourself. They do all that for you
Ticket retrieval was slightly difficult since office was hard to find and WiFi is so spotty. But we eventually found it. Museum was beautiful.
This tour was our worst experience while traveling to Germany and Italy. Picking up tickets in 2 tough to find spots and barely marked spots was frustrating. Find a different tour provider.
The experience was terribly disappointing! You advertise "skip the line" and a combination Uffizzi and Academia so it's easier to enter. It was very inconvenient and your advertising was not portrayed accurately. We feel ripped off! We had to pick up tickets at a different location other than the museum. We knew this part from your ad. Your ad did not say we would then have to do this again a few hours later at another location to enter the Academia. After following the lady from the tour office we waited 10 minutes for her to get and then give us Uffizi tickets. We then had to wait a few minutes in the reserved time line. We were told we had 2 hours in Uffizi then had to return to someplace else hours later to repeat the same process to get Academia tickets. So the whole process created more walking and more time without any flexibility to choose which museum to go to first ie.we finished Uffizzi 2 hours before the time we had to pick up the next tickets and couldn't go earlier to next museum. Our day was totally inflexible and based on getting to second ticket location in time. We had to skip the 2nd museum because of this. We paid for it but it was too difficult to go. We would never recommend anyone do the combo ticket and we deserve our money back for the Academia. This is one of the only tours we booked with trip advisor and the only one we were unhappy with. All others- Bookung.com, viator, The Tour Guy were set up for the convenience of the customer- this was an awful experience.
These two museums are a must and the “David” was incredible. The skip the line tickets truly helped. Our waiting time for both places were only about 10 minutes.
Skipped the line—which was huge this time of year. Also skipped the tour—which is hard to understand even with hearing devices and a microphone. Enjoyed wandering through on our own with info available on line.
Relatively easy to pick up tickets, staff helpful. Recommend booking beforehand and get skip the line ticket. Hardly any wait and went straight in. Hate ques so worked out stress free.
Trustful service. We never had any problem. Every thing went just as planned. Great experiences. Very friendly.
The employees were rude from the first impression till the end of my entire ordeal. When I walked in they were all talking amongst themselves and until I said hello, they didn’t acknowledge me. I was given the address Via Camillo Cavour 19 to pick up my tickets for entry into the Academies of Science to see The David, when I put it in maps it kept bringing up a location in Prato, Italy or somewhere else with a similar address in Florence. After walking in circles to locate the ticket office where I was to pick up my tickets to see the David, I finally called the offices. First I was told it was easy and right across from the Academie Gallery, then I was told that nobody has ever had an issue. Eventually I was sent a pin. The address on the pin said Via Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour 19. How was I supposed to know that this address and the original address given were one and the same. Ultimately, I got there and due to timing I couldn’t see The David. I asked if it was possible for them to switch me to a ticket for the next day and she said no and dismissed me. The woman wouldn’t even make an attempt to assist me let alone have any compassion for the upsetting experience I had endured. I was treated disrespectfully. If you are working in the field of tourism, having patience and grace for people that don’t speak your language should be an obvious part of the job description. I was very disappointed. I do not recommend this company!
do not waste your money on this tour. You have to search to find the tour office to get your tickets and then join a long queue to get in on your timed slot. Our tour was running 15 minutes late. The same for the Academy entry. It was chaos.
The offices were a Little hard to find and by the entrances. Easy pick up of the tickets. Still have to queue a bit so make sure they are early.
I'm assuming we paid extra for skip the line. There was no such thing at the Uffizi. Had tickets for 11a. Very crowded and confusing. There was no skip the line line. After getting in a line that wrapped around building and finally getting in "11a" line, got let into the museum at 12n. The Accademia was very efficient an got in at our reserved time. Don't pay extra for skip the line at Uffizi. Just buy a reserved time and expect to wait....
It seems a little expensive. I would have offered to skip uffizi, but I don't think that's an option. It was definitely worth the skip the line for David. The painting in the wing to the right of David( his left) are cool to read about what was found when the refurbishment was done
The lines we entered to “skip the lines” were still long - though not nearly as long as the lines you are skipping. Just beware and temper your expectations. The Uffizi was “Disney World on Christmas Day” crowded - we are talking suffocatingly thick masses of people.
Having skip the line tickets was definitely worth it - the general admission lines were so long. Both museums were amazing! This purchase gets you a voucher that you need to exchange for the actual entry tickets, and it was a little confusing trying to find the office to do so, but still definitely worth the price!
Amazing museums and easy enough getting the tickets with the company and getting into the museum! It was great! Must visit for sure. The skip the line is definitely worth it!
Company gives very little time for you to see the Uffizi and then make it to the Accademia for your assigned time. Very rushed.
No waiting in lines but you have to arrange for your own listening tour Excellent coordination between office and museum
