The ticket was not printable and the person who was to redeem our ticket said we were not on the list. Had to call Viator long distance and they confirmed there should be a ticket for us. 30 minutes lost for our timed entry ticket and I am afraid to see how much that phone call cost! The museum Academia is a wonderful treasure. So happy to see the David again.

We had a cancellation message that they were on strike 45 mins before entering We were in line got to the front and was told that I needed to get a refund The message I received was that they were on strike which was nonsense. They were operating all day. I am seeking now a refund I rebooked with another company in the same day no issues at all
Still had over an hour wait on line
This is not a guided tour and good luck getting your tickets! I had to inquire with museum staff on who was holding our tickets!
It was not really skip the line as we stood in a long line until I told the agent that was not what I paid for. He promptly found a ticket ?… that moved us up the line by half which is better than nothing. I understand that it was busy but skip the line means just that. Skip the line and that is why I paid the premium. It was hot and the line was very aggressive (pushing and shoving) because of heat and fatigue which did not help.
I had a very disappointing experience. I was left standing for over 30 minutes with no communication, update, or notice. Museum staff don’t help if your third party reservation isn’t helpful…. The lack of professionalism and respect for my time was frustrating & to top it off, I still had to wait in line. What was the point of paying for “skip the line” if I had to still wait in the line?! I would not recommend booking through this third-party site unless you have a direct way to contact the agency or provider or you’re actually skipping the line. If something goes wrong, you’re left with little to no support or communication. Save yourself the inconvenience and book directly with museum ahead of time!
Skip the line only way to go. Well worth the added expense to be able to walk right inside and not have to wait.
Through the third party, Destination Europe Florence, the experience was not pleasant. We purchased skip the line tickets from USA in advance and two days before our visit was contacted that our time needed to be changed from noon to 4 pm. The day we arrived the person who changed our time was not present. He sent me a name of a contact, and told me a changed meeting place. When I went to the meeting place the individual there was very, very rude and tried to send us away. After a stressful few other conversations we were then handed tickets and had to wait in line. So annoying and unnecessarily stressful when purchasing Skip the Line tickets in advance. The inside of the gallery was fabulous, which has zero to do with the third party.
Easiest way to skip the line! Trying to find who we were supposed to meet was a little tricky but from there it was a breeze! An amazing experience!
I would not recommend Destination Tours. The communication last minute a change in tour time which disrupted the schedule of our day. Once in line redeeming tickets the representative changed our time again. Audio guide was to be included and it was not. No way to access the audio. Beware of this company.
It is difficult to get tickets at the last minute for a group to this gallery, but when you know you MUST see David, then this is the solution! I got a ticket for one about two hours before I was able to enter. Meet-up to redeem voucher was easy to find. I arrived a little early and was given an earlier ticket for admission. Once I had my ticket I walked right in!
I was excited about this but came to learn the tickets I bought were not valid since I was sold Free Admission Day tickets. I was messaged to see if I wanted to change my day to the day before on a Saturday. I said yes. Took a 6am train from Rome to get there. I was communicating with the operator the whole time. Until they went silent. Once I arrived, I was told my tickets were invalid since the operator never sent a new confirmation and new tickets. By that time I was tired and defeated. I haven’t even looked that the last message from the operator since I don’t want their drama. I asked for a refund and they denied it. Why would a supplier who lives in Florence and Knows that every first Sunday of each month is a Free Day have tickets for sale? This goes to show how much they Do Not Care about the experience of people who purchase from them and just want to make money off anyone who’s willing to pay. It’s exhausting getting tickets to see anything in Italy and my exhaustion got the best of me. We were going to try and come back the next day -Sunday. But decided not to. Obviously it was a sign from the universe to just relax and enjoy the city without the craziness of deceitful tour operators. I do not recommend this supplier. I’m also sure they will respond to this comment with something rude and sassy saying how it was my fault. But at the end of the day I was sold tickets for a Free Admission Day. That should tell you everything you need to know.
Try to stick to the time you book. We arrived a little early and were fortunate to go in a bit quicker but a couple in front of us were late and were chagrined at having to wait. Absolutely fantastic venue. Clear directions of where to pick up our tickets and the agent was prompt and friendly.
On time and made access so easy compared to the other lines/cues. Downloaded the audio tour from your agent and we were off to the races!
Getting the tickets was horrifying. We had to get our your guide to do it for us. It was not a happy experience.
Absolutely a disaster when it comes to coordinating the access to tickets and the line. Don’t waste your money with Viator as you will wait twice as long!
Easy to get the tickets at the meetup spot. The guide also helped us get into the correct line. Very simple and easy to do!
My flight got canceled so I messaged the tour company to see if I could get a refund and they basically said get lost :/
We were to meet at 8:00 to pick up our tickets for 8:15 entry. Plenty of other groups were nearby getting their tickets and lots of people were getting in the growing line to purchase tickets. We had arrived about 15 minutes early to be sure we found the right spot. Finally at 8:00 on the dot the guy shows up. We did get in at 8:15 and were able to be one of the first in for the day! It’s definitely worth getting up a little early and getting an early ticket to avoid the crowds. We were almost by ourselves for the first 1/2 hour. It was getting pretty crowded by the time we left and lines outside were quite long.
Directions to meet for tickets wasn’t very clear. We did happen to find the Viator contact person. It didn’t feel like a skip the line experience but I guess we did get in sooner than without it. Seemed over priced comparing the cost of the ticket either way what we paid. A QR code audio guide didn’t line u very well with the rooms like a numbered audio guide would have. The David is an awesome sculpture everyone should see but with how crowded it was the experience left much to be desired. There didn’t seem to be any real limitations on numbers of people let in.
A great experience with a great Roman born woman. Very knowledgeable and answered every question. Extremely well done and could have spent double the time. A pure joy!!
Worth the money to get in ahead of the large crowds. We were actually early enough that the greeter gave was earlier tickets. He was very organized and pleasant to work with.
The tour guide was there to meet us and helped us with our booking. We made a mistake with our booking date and the guide helped us sort out our problem
Very interesting experience It was very smooth and easy to retrieve the tickets they also accommodated my group when we arrived late
It was wonderful, such beautiful history, Thank you Academia Galleria for dedication to all of the pieces in your collection.
The operator who met us was amazing So friendly and efficient He met us no problem and we went in within minutes
Worked great. Went to the front of the line as advertised. Perfect for when the official site is sold out.
Great experience for our family. Our guide was at the meeting point with tickets on time. We got right in!
Very quick and easy. The tickets were waiting for us outside. The line without reservations was huge so it was a time saver.
So Convenient to use Skip the line! We were met promptly and put right into the shorter line. It gave more free time before we had to meet up with our tour. ‘Really loved the Academie Gallery!
Skip the line was a great experience and seamless. Enjoyed the David exhibit without huge crowds early. I would do skip the line again.
Make sure you have ID for kids!! But easy to get in. Great opportunity to see more than David. Must do activity.
Informative and easy to use although not being very experienced with self guide audio I can't really compare it to others.
Skip the Line tour is the only way to go. Everything was on time and even ahead of schedule. It was great. We were able to get right in and enjoy all the sites without the long wait!!
If you're in Florence, you cannot miss the Galleria del Accademia. Not only does it house Michaelangelo's remarkable David, but so many other beautiful works of art. You can spend hours there, but viewing the David is the most amazing thing. There are always crowds of People around the David, but you can get close up if you try hard! Don't miss this amazing museum ... it's a must see!
We met our guide who provided the tickets and went right in. Great experience. We chose to view on our own since we had a wide age range in our group.
Skip the line was not really any different than the line. Did not get any special treatment. The Michael Angelo works were more than just amazing they were mind blowing. There were other things that I found interesting that included musical instruments and mold casting.
It works exactly as told. You meet the agent and they take you to the right cue. Do not hesitate to book. It’s worth skipping the lines!
Walked right in and had a wonderful time. Beautiful art and sculptures. Especially David. Got a bird a birds eye view of all of him.
Unfortunately we Didn’t end up making it….. I had been there before and it’s great! I highly recommend
Glad we skipped the line. The museum was beautiful. If you book this, meet the person directly across from the line to get your ticket.
Excellent customer service!! Thank you very much for quick and excellent customer service. Tour operator answered all our questions.
Viator should be able to provide a usable ticket. Waiting outside for an agent was a totally unnecessary step. It was cold and we could have entered early but had to wait outside for agent who was late. A very expensive and inconvenient option.
The Accademia Gallery was extraordinary, and seeing Michelangelo's David in person was a dream come true! Skipping the line was a huge benefit, especially with how popular this gallery is. However, the process of finding the person with the pre-paid tickets was far more difficult than expected. There wasn’t clear signage, and the area outside was crowded, making it hard to locate the designated representative among all the other tours gathering nearby. Inside the gallery, the art was mesmerizing, and being able to walk right up to these masterpieces without waiting for too long was definitely worth it. Just a heads-up: if you book this tour, allow some extra time to find your ticket contact!
Kinda sketchy. Tickets were in other people’s name (personally don’t see myself as a ‘Chad’). Ultimately we were able to enter, but it was questionable at the beginning. Also, we didn’t get a ticket stub for memories. It seemed a little scammy. Luckily it was ok.

We were unable to go inside the museum. The crowd was very large and our guide kept moving us from area to area and line to line with no success after 90min past our timed entry. We could not wait any longer as he explained it could be up to an additional 90min before we get in and we had another tour booked. He suggested we request a refund. I don't blame Viator or the guide, it was a rough scene for everyone there and I only write this to provide warning on severe rain days.
The line went really fast! There were signs for where to line up according to your time slot and it was really easy!
The gentleman showed up right when he said he would. He also got us in quickly. Super easy experience.
I liked it, I just couldn't add it to the Apple Wallet application as a memory, they checked the ticket via WhatsApp.
