The Palace was incredible to see.Amazing to see the splendour they lived in.The gardens were undergoing restoration so none of the fountains were working and they were very disappointing. Sadly We coudnt get our audio guide to work .

The palace was lovely, and as I expected, the grounds of the garden would be barren due to off-season. What was unfortunate were two major things: 1. I strongly suggest to the operator to send the audio download at least one day before the tour. I got my download 10 minutes before my entry time. Not only did I have to download an app, but the size of the download was large. My LTE could not handle the download, THERE IS NO WIFI at the palace. As a result, I had no audio tour for my visit. 2. Although it was off-season, there was no mention of heavy construction in the gardens. All you saw was a lot of awning around the amphitheater that featured sculptures…. I did enjoy the modern art display dedicated to fashion. Overall, if the operator sends the download sooner, it probably would have been a four star visit. My score reflects the lack of support for the audio download.
Although the Pitti Palace is magnificent, this audio tour was very disjointed and super hard to follow. Very poor guidance on where to walk and we were often frustrated with trying to find what the narrator was talking about. We were rarely sure we were even in to right room, since the rooms are numbered differently on the maps inside the palace than in the audio guide. We eventually just gave up on the audio guide and read the posted signs. We wasted a lot of time trying to figure the tour out. My recommendation, skip this waste of money and pay a guide if you really want to know what you’re looking at.
The self-guided audio tour is a good option as the guided tour cost to much. the lines are not very long for this tour. it's not overly busy, the crowds were low to medium. However be careful which ways you go because once you exit out to the Garden you cannot get back into the Palace (the way you just walked out) where the bathrooms are & the gift store. We walked through the gate took a couple pictures and it started to pour down rain. we tried to walk back down to the gate/door to go back in the courtyard area and Palace when we were stopped by security and told we could not walk that way "against the flow", I had to walk around the entire building in the rain back to the front. Very rude, unhelpful employees and security there. Palace was beautiful & very large with an extensive art gallery with beautiful ancient statues and medieval and Renaissance era paintings. I added just a couple of the over a hundred photos I took.
Boboli Gardens was almost entirely undergoing renovations, big disappointment! Practically nothing to see.
A little disappointed in Museum. The Boboli gardens were under construction. The Dukes Treasure exhibit was closed
Absolutely beautiful place and the exhibitions were amazing. If your tickets are on your phone save them as there is limited signal in the place. The garden would have been nice however the main amphitheatre and fountain was all under scaffolding. a great place and would recommend
Impossible to connect to the audio tour at the event, no instructions how to do so. Yo app work horribly. I would want a full refund as we were not able to get any audio for any of the tour. Extremely disappointed. Would rather have had a tour guide and been worth the money or a better audio company. Would never use this again or anywhere else I travel.
Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens Florence was well worth the visit . The palace is floor to ceiling artwork in such concentration it it’s a feast for the eyes and mind . Despite not being able to use the down loadable app guide that came with the online purchased ticket which was not thankfully necessary as each room had a small plaque with English text giving a brief introduction to the room and relevant dates, the pictures are mainly marked with attributed artist and sitters or picture name on the frame and the ceiling frescos are stunning. Each room is all the more enjoyable for the much smaller concentration of visitors with few and small guided tours during our visit. At the time of visiting Sept 2026 the palace exterior had scaffolding on the exterior in parts and small screened of areas within under restoration however the Gardens were under considerable reconstruction. Much of the gardens closed off, by screening and construction equipment - may of the paths were eroded However this said the views over Florence and the hills in the distance were well worth the ticket price and effort.
The exhibit was under construction and the exhibits were covered. We will be requesting our money back.
We were unable to access our tickets. They were no on an email and they were no to the website. The website stated the tickets were in an email. There was no internet available to check anywhere. We had to purchase tickets at the palace. This the first time I have this sort of issue and we were very disappointed and we use your company for our excursions. Hopefully you will either refund or credit.
An amazing visit to Pitti Palace and a Boboli Gardens made our day in Florence along with an earlier tour booked. Stunning palace where the Medici Family lived and the Gardens are majestic , as is the view over all of Florence from Boboli Gardens. This is a must see.
I should have used a tour guide. We did OK but could not connect to audio guide.we still enjoyed.
Negative experience! It’s a real hassle to download the app and the audio. Once that is done, Audio is all out of order, doesn’t make sense when walking through the rooms, such a pity not getting the right audio with the room. What’s the point on selecting a language if it’s an app? Just give people the option.
I loved this visit. Pitti Palace is huge! I definitely recommend either early morning or late afternoon for the Boboli Gardens. It gets warm in the middle of the day!
Had tremendous time trying to download app. Gardens are all under construction so couldn’t see much of that. Enjoyed the art and costumes on display.
Negative experience! Audio download would not load which prevented Pitti Palazzio ticket office from viewing my ticket info. We were not allowed to enter & tour operator did not respond to my request for assistance. Employees of the Palazzio attempted for over 30 minutes to download the link for me, but with no success. Both the tour agency & Viator have denied me a refund for the pricey tickets. We left, disheartened, after traveling from abroad & paying $96.00, not to have the tour of this amazing palazzio. I will not be recommending Viator as a travel platform, either, as they do not feel the need to assist in encouraging the tour agency to take responsibility for their failures to deliver a fully paid tour product to a client.
The palace and exhibitions were great. The gardens were having extensive work done which we were not told about. So most of the structures were covered in scaffolding. The audio tour was unusable as it did not run in order of the rooms. you had to keep going back into it and scrolling through to find the next room. we gave up after the 4th room and just read the information boards in the rooms. The guilds voice on the audio tour had a American accent it would have been much better in an English speaking Italian accent there wouldn't have been so many mispronunciations in it. Was another reason we stopped using it as it was irritating and grating. Such a shame the audio tour let the palace experience down.
Tickets were sent directly to us and it was easy to use. Good experience! Great to have the palace and garden ticket connected and the audio guide was helpful.
Easy ticket purchase and skip the line for a wonderful immersive walk through the palace and gardens
The Pitti palace is spectacular, so much artwork and historical architecture. The audio guide was not great, it didn't correspond with each room which is numbered. We also were not allowed into the costume rooms where you can see period dresses. No explanation why our tickets excluded this area. So definitely go to the Pitti with a timed entry so you can walk right in, but skip the audio.
No point in going to the gardens at present as lots of features are being restored and are covered in scaffolding
The gardens and palace are wonderful. Unfortunately there is a lot of walking and my wife had a bad back so couldn’t do all of the gardens and exhibitions. Allow a good 3-4 hours for this visit. The palace is beautiful and has so many pieces of art. I did have an issue when we went to check in as the gardens said at first that our ticket was just for the palace but when I checked it was a combination ticket for palace and gardens. The people at the gate asked if we had already been in as our ticket was not valid. However they were lovely and let us in anyway. What I do have issue with is that we paid £149 for 4 tickets with a face value of €22 each - total €88 so paid double gave value. When I questioned this I was told that this was their ‘fees’ I have used Viator many times with great success and satisfaction but I find this mark up on ticket prices quite extortionate. The gardens and palace were not that busy so we could have just rocked up and bought €22 tickets and saved a fortune.
Lovely palace and gardens. Really enjoyed the exhibition on the history of clothing. Lots of info in English. Well worth a visit
I didn't get to use this timed entry ticket. The email I received the day before said that if I booked through trip advisor, then I'd receive my ticket by email. I followed the links in the message to get tickets, then received a bar code TripAdvisor ticket that said I could exchange it for real tickets at the ticket office. That did not work. The vendor sent a what's app message with a pdf of tickets but my mobile connection wasn't good enough to download them. I ended up just buying tickets at the Boboli ticket office. It is better if the vendor has you pick up tickets in person. This worked with another vendor. Or they should have emailed their plan for providing tickets the day before so that I could have found a wireless connection.
Didn’t do the gardens. It was too hot and the beginning entry stairs lacked handrails. Glad I didn’t go there as it’s being remodeled. The museum was great. Good explanatory signs. (I couldn’t get the guide app to work. Loved the fashion exhibit!
We had HORRIBLE Experienes! Total fraud. Do not book! At the Duomo, we were in a line, without shade for over an hour. We could have waited for an in shade for free. The Duomo doesn't actually honor a "cut the line" At the Petti Palace I had to buy new tickets. No line at all, 40 euros
I booked this tour for my clients for May 12 on Viator. I repeatedly contacted them regarding the receipt of tickets. I was told that I would receive them the day before, on May 11th. At 4:07 US time on May 11th, I reached out again. No response until 11:39pm US time on May 11th, when the tickets were sent. This is unacceptable with the time difference between US and Italy as time in Florence was 6:30am, on May 12th, the date of the actual tour. In further investigating the tour vendor, they are located in India. DO NOT book with this vendor!
Fantastic experience we loved Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens , such elegance and history! So lovely to see the grandness of the palace and the portraits and statues. The students who were there to help as guides gave us more in-depth experience- well done . The gardens although parts were under renovation , were lovely and so vast not seen anything so impressive- beautiful. Again thank you for the assistance of the students around the gardens for their knowledge, very informative. Well worth a visit !! Lovely experience would r
The palace is amazing, don't underestimate how much there is to see. The gardens are undergoing refurbishment so not fully open at the moment.
They skipped the line ticket was actually an opportunity to get in a line that took one hour and 25 minutes to reach the door. The ticket time was 10 o’clock the doors don’t even open until 1030. When I ask the tour operator about it he laughed and said if you don’t think this is a short line go look at the free line.
The Pitti palace and gardens were great! But we followed all the instructions and downloaded the app and everything and no one could access the audio tour.
Too much information to confusing. I was getting tickets confused. Aside from that it was fantastic that we could get in so quickly and I still would recommend.
Overall experience isn’t terrible and worth it if you need something to fill the time. The boboli gardens have a lot of construction and renovation going on which takes away from the experience. The palace itself is nice and a quick visit. I will say the operator of the tour is not very nice. I entered from the gardens which was completely fine, but they kept telling me that I needed to go through the palace first which isn’t necessary. I would however enter through the palace because the hike to the gardens is all uphill!
When looking for location search for Pitti Palace (not Boboli Gardens) as map with tickets took us along way off course. Parts of gardens closed for renovations. Pitti Palace well worth the visit.
Enjoyed both the Pitti Palace and the beautiful Boboli Gardens. Would highly recommend
Extremely quick entry to the experience and worth the visit if you are into art. Although it was a pain, having to get the tickets out to scan at the entrance to each section. Some of the staff at these points were not very pleasant and came across as rude when asking a simple question. We also stopped for a coffee break, which was disorganised, we suggest to any visitor that they take an outside table to get waiter service rather than doing self-service. Boboli gardens were a pleasant escape from the cool interior. Unfortunately for our visit, many of the sculptures were covered up, and scaffolding was ever present. The gardens did need some tlc but this did not stop us enjoying them along with the magnificent views.
The palace is beautiful, with so much to see. My ticket was at 4:30 p.m., which unfortunately did not allow enough time to visit both the palace and the gardens, since everything closes at 6 p.m. An hour and a half is simply not enough to fully enjoy both areas. I was disappointed because both the palace and the gardens are extensive and deserve much more time to explore properly. I highly recommend booking an earlier ticket in the day, as a 4:30 p.m. entry is not realistic if you want enough time to see the entire property.
Disappointing in that much of the museum was closed due to staffing issues. Otherwise fine tour. A guided tour may be more enriching.
Palace and gardens were AMAZING!! Dealing with THIS vendor was cumbersome and unnecessary, non-helpful steps. Go to palace, just not with them!
Pitti Palace is fabulous! We would highly recommend it. It is an excellent Renaissance museum complex. The Palatine Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art, Museum of Fsshion and Costume are all excellent. The Boboli Gardens are not to be missed.
Boboli gardens is under renovation till 2030. So it’s a mess. Good walk though. Steep hills and lots of stairs. Statues covered in dirt or under renovation. If using viator, know you need the app or check messages for tickets: front guard said they have lots of problems with viator tickets because they send vouchers, not tickets and you have to download app or discover there is a message area on viator to grab the pdf for tickets
The experience, gardens and galleries are great and awesome. The app of Viator, far from it. The purchase sends you the voucher which is useless in the first email. You have to read the fine print, wait for the second email and download the actual ticket when you get it. Which in European cities with a lot of tourists is a big task, as there isn’t much coverage on the popular places. In the end after 30 minute wait and tries to connect to a WiFi or something else you get the ticket (which costs about 70% higher than just purchasing it from the venue) either through WhatsApp or an email link to Google Drive. Thanks to the interesting process and inappropriate process, if you buy a ticket with entry for 4:00 pm, you can expect to miss the last entries to the Bobini Gardens for example of 4:30pm.
This is a scam company. I bought two tickets on this platform for a total of 100 USD, but each ticket should have cost only 22 EURO. I didn't receive any ticket from email, so I called to inquire. The staff told me to queue up to redeem them offline(if I need to queue for tickets, what's the point of paying so much to book online?). And after long queue, the ticket office staff told me I couldn't redeem the tickets using their redemption information. I called them again and requested a refund because I had already waited at the door for over an hour and had other visit plans. They repeatedly made excuses, saying the tickets had already been sent. They only sent the ticket PDF file through the app, but kept telling me to check my email, which I never received it from my mail box.
In the winter time there’s not much to see within the gardens. We did purchase “skip the line” tickets, but there is no need to as in the winter time there doesn’t appear to be as many people visiting the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens.
Timed entry is meaningless. We arrived with our passes and bar codes and were not let in. At the last minute we were told we had to pull down large pdf's with the proper bar codes with poor cell coverage. It was a nightmare. This is a warning for all. Communications from the vendor in advance was horrible which resulted in delays and incredible stress at the last minute. When you receive information from the vendor with included entry bar codes, you cannot assume they are adequate for entry. Our trip to Florence has been one continuous nightmare of poorly communicated entry information. I have always been pleased with Trip Advisor in the past but this trip has exposed really poor service and communications (and a lack of coordination with Viator). All I can say is caution. Read everything provided in complete detail. You should NOT assume entry into a venue when given what seems to be definitive information and barcodes.
I booked this mainly to go to the boboli gardens but they said the garden closes at 3:30 so I wasn't even allowed to go in. Even though on the ticket it said I could, so it was pretty frustrating.
The Boboli Gardens were closed by the time we arrived (shortly after 3:30) .. There were only 4 tickets available for the group of 6 and we did not enter the Piti Palace .. Please refund
Tickets were sent directly to my whatts app account. Easy access to the beautiful Piti Palace and the more beautiful Boboli Gardens...
There was a ticket to the Palace and the gardens, but on the day I went in mid October there was zero need to skip the line. The so called audio guide was a computer reading of an article about the Palace (or perhaps a human with the flattest delivery ever). It did include some information about the collection, but was not organised or presented in a way that helped you walk through and appreciate what you were looking at. Nothing like the audio guides you get from museums and art galleries themselves. Given a do over, I would just buy a ticket from the Palace direct and take my chances with the line.
