Timed Entry Accademia Gallery Tour With Art Expert Guide

We had Galya as our guide and she was incredible. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and funny. Plenty Of time to see all of the exhibits and information on all of them that you wouldn’t otherwise receive. Gave us plenty of time to admire the art. Don’t hesitate. Book it now. 5 stars.

Our art expert, Antonio, was excellent. He gave great information and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Check in outside was chaotic and the administration didn't hold up the sign so I had to ask around for the meeting point.

Early evening tour of highlights of the Accademia with a focus on David. Surprisingly detailed considering its brevity. Alfonso was an exceptional guide, taking time to provide background that enhanced and informed our viewing and understanding of the art and culture in which it was created and answering questions. At the end of the formal tour we had time, until closing, to walk through and visit exhibits on our own. One note: we did not read the description carefully and thus didn’t realize until arriving at the meeting point that the tour price included the guide only and that teenneeded to purchase our entry tickets separately.

Galya was a fantastic guide. I was disappointed that we had to pay for entry into the gallery on top of the cost of the guided tour.

They allowed way too many people in our group and it caused delays as we tried to make our way to the timed entrance. You can’t manage keeping 20 people together in that crowded of a space. The guide was fun, but set up for failure. It was also unfortunate that they were waiting for late people, which only frustrated those of us who arrived 15 minutes early, as requested at sign up.

Martinella was a wonderful guide —she was lively and amusing . I enjoyed her interpretation of Michelangelo’s David very much ——-even though I too have been to art school and am an artist ——-she made me think a little differently about the work .

Incredibly poorly organized

I booked the trip online weeks before my travel. I knew as everyone does it Sundays are free admission, but I wanted an English Tour Guide. TripAdvisor should well this yet. They sold me a ticket through someone that canceled because Sundays were free admission. This is common knowledge. I will not use TripAdvisor again.

The company travelers tour did not show up at the meeting location. I called them and was told they do not offer tours on Sundays because the museum is free on Sundays. I have no idea why they allowed us to book a tour for a day when they weren’t even operating. Very disappointing experience.

Unsatisfactory service. Waited for an hour for tour guide. Failure to communicate that there was no tour until last minute. Several people waited and were very in happy. Will never recommend this to anybody traveling. Will contacting bank for full refund.

Organization person late, no signage and very short when asked a question. Was not a pleasant start to tour.

Very disappointing experience. I’ll admit I missed the fine print, but it needs to be MUCH clearer when booking that admission to the Accademia Gallery is not included in the tour price. Arriving and then being expected to pay additional money in cash felt extremely scammy, especially when we had to chase someone down first for our change and then again for our actual tickets. The tour itself wasn’t much better. There was very little explanation or context about the artwork—the guide literally said, “you are looking at art” at one point. The entire meetup and ticket process felt disorganized and unprofessional. If admission isn’t included, that should be clearly stated upfront, not buried in the fine print.

Felt cheated. The name suggests that the package is for skipping the line. It is not explicitly mentioned that we to buy the tickets again. Also the meeting point was in a crowded area. Very chaotic. The guide was not very knowledgeable

You are not getting a ticket to enter you will have to pay another £48 to the guide on the street very disappointing we were not the only people who were fooled

No where could I find a trip advisor sign The host was wearing a blue shirt with some name that I never saw. Were stood around and missed out time Waited for the next tour and then was told I had to buy entry tickets…. No where booing this did I see a pop up message that tickets were extra € Our guide was hard to understand and the background noise was overwhelming. Noise cancellation microphone would a must for all tour agents in places like this

Antonio was a great guide, the wait was significantly shorter with this ticket but do note the ticket to the museum is not included in this price but easily purchased at the meeting point. Enjoyed this a lot

It was a little hard to find our group due to the crowds but once we connected it was great. Our guide (Antonio I think) was excellent!! Very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed this experience very much.

Seeing all the historical instruments and statues in person was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail.

Skip the line was perfect!! The tour wa great and the tour was not too long considering I have two teenagers with no attention span!!

It was great to have Ana show us around the Galleria D’Accademia and we appreciated her knowledge and passion for Michael Angelo and his sculptures. She was very knowledgeable. If we’d just gone around on our own it would have been a very different experience! We got really lost finding the meeting point though as the street had two sets of door numbers in Florence. I think this could be clearer as we ended up being late for the tour even though we’d got to the right address (or so we thought) on time.

Ana was amazing! So knowledgeable, and the tour had a great flow to help navigate the crowds. She was also very funny and I loved learning about Michaelangelo as a person, informing how he made his art.

Amazing tour. Ana was an exceptional guide. The management regarding skip the line was essential and totally appreciated. The Gallery was brilliant and there are no words which can describe how awesome David was. It is a must to see the original in all its glory.
