Our guide Alice was very knowledgeable about the history of the foods in Florence. She was very enthusiastic and took us to places to try the local "working class" food. There were a lot of options to satisfy everyone's preferences. It was an extremely enjoyable event!

We had a wonderful experience on our food tour . we had a wonderful tour guide, Julia(?), who was very knowledgeable and took us to yummy locations for cheese, wine, savories, desserts. She was timely and new a lot about the local historic spots as well . I found Florence to be quite enormous and found that this tour helped focus on locations that I would not have found on my own . Highly recommend.

Alice was a great guide, passionate about Food, helpful, attentive. We stayed in a market for a while tasting produce from there, dishes that are truly from Florence and from centuries ago: we tested fresh tomatoes, apricots, plums prepared for us at the market. It was excellent. A mix between food and history, very enlightening. We finished with Gelato, perfect. Thank you Alice!

I am visiting Florence with my husband and 19 year old daughter. It’s our first time in Italy. We’ve been here 3 days and done several other tours and this one is HANDS DOWN our favorite!! Our tour guide, Martina “Tina”, was exceptional! She made us feel like old friends visiting from out of town. She took us places and introduced us to local favorites that we would never had known to ask for without her inside knowledge. She was the perfect balance of providing historical and local information with time for us to experience the food/location on our own as well, without feeling pressured or pressed for time. She always assured us if we felt too full or unsure of something we had never tried…that she would not be upset with us. That made us feel better as we didn’t want to offend her. This tour was amazing- in fact, my family and I are going back to a few of the spots she took us to to eat again! Ask for Martina!!

Our guide Alice kept the pace steady and informative. She fed us lots of food samples and the history of Florentine favorites. Most of all she was considerate of our jet lag and how tired we were so made sure we were near seats. Good overview of Central Market.

We had an excellent tour with Alice today! We had 4 kiddos with us (age 6-10) and she was great with them! A couple of the stops were food we wouldn’t normally pick out so it was nice to try things we wouldn’t usually get!

A Highlight of Our Time in Florence! Absolutely loved our Streaty Food Tour! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging — we learned so much while tasting amazing local food. It felt like the perfect blend of history, culture, and fun. The whole team clearly knows their city inside and out. Booking was super easy, and the staff were so kind and responsive — a real pleasure to work with. We came from Canada, and this was one of the best experiences of our trip. Absolutely horrible! There were 4 of us in the group and none of us could find the tour guide, took forever. The food choices were disgusting and I am not picky. I travel lots and love doing food tours and this was the worst tour by far I have ever had. We waited 30 minutes for her to get us food at the first stop. None of us could hear her so we didn’t learn anything about the food. We passed some food that actually looked yummy and she said this is very good you have to try this some time which was weird. If it’s very good why didn’t she have us try it? The tour ended an hour earlier than it was supposed to. I don’t think the guide was their normal guide. She had a name badge and it wasn’t her on the picture. I honestly could have given a better food tour. How can you even pick gross food on an Italian food tour? Italy has amazing food! We didn’t eat any pasta and cannolis or anything you would expect. And we hardly had any tastings. We were so bummed we wasted our day and it’s not easy driving in to Florence. Tons of traffic.

This was a fantastic food tour. Alice really showed us a little bit of what it was like to live and eat in Florence just like Fiorentini. The market, the different bites from known to unique and of course the best Gelato in Florence ;)... Truly enjoyed it.

Second Streaty tour we have booked (first one in Palermo). Tina was a great tour guide, very informative and passionate about the local food. Good selection and plenty of food and wine throughout. Would highly recommend when in Florence to get a good idea of the local cuisine - even the lampredotto!!

This was one of our favorite outings in Italy. I travelled with my mom (70) and my two adult brothers, one of whom is a chef. All four of us loved learning from Alice. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fun to talk to. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for anyone curious about the traditional foods of Florence.

Best walking food tour I’ve ever been on. We were fortunate enough to only have three of us and our 8 month old baby. Everyone was incredibly welcoming to our son and even offered him food of his own so he loved it. Would highly recommend, so much food and all different so you get your moneys worth very quickly. Tina was great taking us around and really looked after us.

We had a wonderful food Tour with our native guide, Gulia. She was an absolute delight, and was full of knowledge about the city and its culture. We enjoyed that she took us to some more off-the-beaten-path spots for food.

Our guide Tina was wonderful! Very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Our first stop was a bakery with "true" biscuits and wine to dunk them. There were some unusual tastings which most of the group enjoyed. The final stop was gelato of course, and it was delicious.

We had such a good time on this tour! It was laid back, small and didn’t take itself too seriously which is exactly what we wanted. We tried foods we hadn’t seen or heard of yet in our trip either, so that is a success!

I am so very happy that I took this tour with my wife and daughter, it was one of the very best things we did here in Florence. Our tour guide Alice was so friendly and knowledgeable, we just fell in love with her! And honestly the food we had here was some of the very best we had - better than some of the expensive restaurants we visited. This charcuterie board blew my mind, THE best I've ever sampled.

The tour was awesome. Our tour guide, Giulia, made the tour special by bringing us into the story of Florence and its culinary history as we visted small food shops as well as the market. Giulia, also snuck in a few foods that we may have not tried on our own. All was delicious! The Gelato was the topping on the cake... so good.

My husband and I had a fabulous experience during our tour today. We were taken off the beaten path to experience Florence like a local. Gabriel‘s passion and knowledge was obvious. Lastly, I am a wheelchair user and was nervous that this might be a setback for the tour but Gabriel was professional and so kind, ensuring everything we did was also accessible for me. We had the pleasure of doing two food walking tours while in Florence. Both were incredible. This tour was so special, as it was just me and my wife with Alice, the guide. We were able to try 9 dishes across 6 locations. And that doesn’t even count getting to try a few different samples at the market. Highly recommend the street food tour and make sure to as for Alice, because she was incredible.
