Small-group Wine Tasting Experience In The Tuscan Countryside

We spent 12 days in Italy, and this tour to the Chianti wine region was a highlight. It was great to get out into the countryside and to hear about wine from the vintners themselves. Our guide, RAF, and driver, Nino, made the trip memorable. On the way to the vineyards from Florence, RAF pointed out things along the way and prepared us for our visits to two wineries. We booked the tour through Viator, and Prestige Rent conducted the tour. We paid just under $90 per person and found the tour well worth it. Both vineyards had people lead us through the tastings of four wines. They provided an opportunity to purchase wine without pressuring us to do so. My wife, our friend, and I enjoyed the experience and recommend it to others.

We booked this on a whim when we realized we had nothing to do on our last day in Florence. It was a great decision. Jason was a great guide. He was knowledgeable and very funny. Great taste in music, and the sing-a-longs were fun. The wineries were great. We even bought a case of wine and had it shipped back to Canada. We highly recommend this tour.

Jason was funny, informative and friendly! He’s also a pretty good singer and made the drive home fly by with his thoughtful karaoke singalong. We’d definitely go with him on another tour. Sergio made us feel safe and got us to and from the wineries expertly.

Good and enjoyable wine tour. We stopped by two wineries. Learnt a lot about the Chianti wine and the history, kudos to our tour guide, Matteo. Half day is just right for us.

Absolutely fantastic wine tour! Jason was an incredible guide with amazing energy. He kept everyone engaged, made sure we were all having a great time, and really brought the experience to life. Both wineries we visited were wonderful, with fantastic wines and delicious olive oil. The atmosphere, the people, the wine, and the overall experience were just perfect. It was one of the highlights of our time in Italy, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, memorable experience in Italy!

My wife and I had an amazing time on this wine tour. Travel in a coach bus was very comfortable, and our guide was more than entertaining the entire drive. Our guide, Jason, was amazing, very funny and friendly. I would go back on this tour just to hang out with him again. The wine was great, the olive oil at the first stop was great as well. I would book this tour again when we come back.

This was the highlight of our trip to Florence! Our tour guide, Jason, was absolutely amazing. He made the trip so fun and taught us the history of Florence and Tuscan wine. He even took the best photos and videos of us in the vineyard. Would absolutely recommend that you add this to your trip!

I highly recommend this experience! Jason is the best tour guide you could wish for, and Alex is the best driver you could ask for – he makes you feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. Jason is an amazing communicator: incredibly funny, friendly, and approachable. He keeps you entertained and engaged the whole time and does a fantastic job of bringing the group together. Thanks to him, everyone felt connected and had a wonderful time. Alex took us to two of the most beautiful wineries. Both places were absolutely stunning, the wines were delicious, and the hospitality was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming! I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. If you get the chance, make sure to go with Jason and Alex – you won’t regret it!

Raf and Nino were great hosts. We booked this tour at the last minute, and so glad we did! The wine was fantastic, met some lovely people, and were tipsy enough to sing along to the great playlist of music on the ride home. Highly recommend!

Visited two really nice wine yards. Nice locations and views besides really good wine. Guide Raf was great and kept the energy high in the group. Nino drove the bus safely in the intense Italian traffic.

My trip to the vineyards was both informative and exciting! Each of our hosts was passionate about sharing the history and culture of their vineyard. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Although I’m not a wine drinker, I couldn’t resist taking a sip of each wine just to enjoy the experience! 🍷 The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, making the day even more enjoyable. Our driver, Jonathan, was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and kept us thoroughly entertained throughout the journey. What a wonderful and memorable experience! I highly recommend this tour!

We went on this tour after a recommendation from a friend, and we booked it last-minute. Notably, it was our 1st wine-tasting excursion in Italy. Our tour guide was Jason and driver was Mike. We had alot of laughs, great wine samples and some local snax. Two members of our group recently spent time in Napa. This tour was better! I would give it 10 out of 10.

We booked a private tour for 20 people with Prestige Rent Tours to the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Casa di Monte winery. Our guide, Davide, and driver, Sergio, were fantastic! The entire experience was wonderful, but the winery was absolutely amazing! The family was so welcoming and accommodating. We toured the winery, enjoyed the beautiful Tuscan countryside, tasted delicious wines, and had the opportunity to purchase our favorites. And the winery dog was definitely the highlight of the day! Highly recommend this tour!

Danielo and Mike were great to travel with! We were told some history, had sights pointed out, and educated on wine from the Chianti Valley on the way to our first winery. It showed they enjoy what they do. We even turned the bus into a party after leaving our last winery. They know great jams. Thank you!

This tour is outstanding. Transportation is provided in a comfortable bus. Antonio our driver was a competent driver with a good sense of humor. The scenic ride was further enhanced by our tour guide Jason. He is a one man comedy show . Engaging, animated and clever. Not an easy feat to get a group of strangers involved in conversation. The two wineries were beautiful. The staff was prepared for our visit and quickly we were given wine making history and drinking etiquette. Delicious wines were served along with yummy meats and cheeses. Jason was fully engaged in getting to know each guest. He was dedicated to make sure the experience was great. The second stop was a nearby vineyard with delicious wines charcuterie and the best balsamic I’ve ever had. Met lovely fellow travelers and shared many laughs. The drive back was outstanding. Jason chose songs we could sing along with and enjoy lots of laughter. This organization is well run and committed to making the guest experience the best.

My girlfriend and I, both in Italy for the first time, wanted to see Tuscany in the limited time we had in the area, and if you're also a bit crunched for time but want to see what kind of wine the Tuscan countryside has to offer, this is the move! Our tour guide was extremely friendly and charismatic, and was skilled at spreading his attention to each person on the tour. Our group was fun, and people's less inhibited sides were on fuller display on the drive back, with some good wine, meat, and cheese in their bellies.

Had a fun time with highly entertaining tour guides and wine presentations. The 2 wineries were very good as were the accompanying appetizers. Raf and Alecisso were informative and entertaining and always wily to take a picture. In addition to having very god wine, the wineries were beautiful and well kept. None of the wines we sampled were super expensive and all could be taken or shipped home if you chose to buy them. Neither winery was too pushy about buying their wine. My only con was that I wouldn't classify the size as small group, it was more a medium size. Definitely not a large group and not so large we felt crowded. To me small is 12-16 people. I'd same there were about 22-24 in the group (I meant to count but the wine got in the way :-) ). Still we had a great time and I would recommend this tour.

Great afternoon in Tuscany! There was plenty of tastings and beautiful views of the countryside. Our guide and staff at the wineries were very informative. Great tour for solo travelers, you will meet so many people & what better way to share conversation than at the table over wine!

Not sure if there is enough room to fit everything good about this tour. Started with Raphael at the meeting point. Great guy and very personable. The driver of the bus, Francesco, while very nice, more importantly was a good driver. Never made me feel uncomfortable and found shortcuts when traffic backed up. The true stars of the show were the people at the vineyards. Sebastian, the sommelier at Fattoria Poggio Capponi was extremely informative. I learned more about wine in that hour than I have in my entire life. And great wine! Jessica and Linda, the two sister-in-laws that help run Casa de Monte had some humor but were very informative of their wine and Chianti wine. Both winery’s, our tour guide, and driver combined, made the tour a must do on any trip to the Tuscany region. Bravo!

Leonardo was a fantastic tour guide ! the wine tours were excellent but the olive oil and the balsamic were even better! the salami and the cheeses were delicious. We werent crazy about the wines but really enjoyed the experience!

Our tour guide was very entertaining. We liked sampling the different wines and the balsamic vinegars and olive oils were an added plus. I highly recommend!

Alessio was a fantastic guide and gave us great historical and contemporary background on Florence and broader Tuscany throughout the trip. The wine was great and the views were even better. 10/10 would recommend

It was a beautiful tour and each winery had something unique to offer. The wines were wonderful and the countryside locations were gorgeous! Our driver Nino was terrific and our guide Valentina went above and beyond. Even took photos of my husband and me in these beautiful surroundings providing us with photos we will treasure always! Be prepared to sing and join in the fun as you learn about the Tuscan wine region. Each winery has a beautiful setting. The wines are paired with yummy plates of cheese, cured meat, bread, olive oil and even fresh fruit. You return to Florence with 20 new friends!

We had a lovely day our wonderful driver he was fantastic . We had a great group Of people really fun . I think all of us fell in love with the Tuscan country side . The wineries were amazing . We found out heaps of information tasting great cheeses and lots of great wines . Small group tour was the way to go .

Jason /Nino were both excellent. Nino drove us safely to and from the 2 vineyards and Jason was an excellent trip guide. Knowledgeable and funny! Played great music in the bus. Highly recommend them both and this experience!

What a great trip and a nice change of pace from Florence. Bus ride was only 40 minutes and you are in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Jason was great and the vineyards visited were wonderful.
