This 3 hour experience was the perfect blend of history, hands on learning, and incredible food and wine. We began with a fascinating tour of the old wine cellar and the castle courtyard — a beautiful setting that immediately set the tone for an authentic Tuscan adventure. The pasta making class was the highlight, thanks to Jerry, our chef and host. He was not only knowledgeable but genuinely funny and engaging. His energy made the class lively and approachable, and he guided us through preparing homemade pasta from scratch along with two delicious sauces. He kept everyone laughing while teaching real technique — a rare combination that made the experience unforgettable. Dinner afterward was exceptional, featuring the pasta we had made paired with three beautiful local wines. The only thing we wished for was a bit more time to enjoy the delicious food and the company of the new friends we met during the class — the dinner portion felt slightly rushed. Even so, it was a thoughtful, immersive, and beautifully curated experience. Highly recommend for anyone who loves food, wine, and learning in a fun, welcoming environment — especially with Jerry leading the way.

It was very enjoyable! Something my wife and I had never done before! Chef Jerry was excellent! He was very patient with our group and instructed us very well! The finished meal we created as a group was excellent. The castle wines we were served were excellent! In short, a very unique wonderful experience!
What a fantastic combination of activities this is! Beautiful scenery, wine making instruction, professional cooking insights, wine tasting, a shared group lunch makes for a memorable experience. Bravo to Gerry our cooking instructor and Teresa our host! This tour proved to be our favorite Tuscan experience.
Lucia was the best tour guide! Very knowledgeable, helpful and obviously experienced in the specialty of wine making and the family history of the castle. The chef, Jerry, was such a wonderful teacher who helped us make pasta, chicken and a wonderful sponge cake. We got recipes to take home. Would recommend highly to anyone!!
Had the most incredible experience at Castello del Trebbio. The venue is like something out of a dream and Lucia and Jerry made us feel so welcomed. Lucia shared some excellent history about the castle and the area as well as about the wine produced there. Jerry was an excellent teacher and taught us simple yet delicious dishes we can’t wait to make again once at home. It is evident that the staff and owners and passionate about what they do and have gone to great lengths to preserve the beauty and history that make Trebbio such a special place. The food, wine, views and service are all top tier. This was by far my favorite part of our week in Florence and I would highly recommend to anyone to book this. I hope we can return again next time we are in Tuscany! Thank you Lucia, Jerry and the owners for sharing Castello del Trebbio with us.
We had a lot of fun doing the pasta making a wine tasting. We were 2 families (friends - adults & 18 year old children) on Spring Break & decided to do this as an excursion. Our hostess/guide was a wonderful young lady who did our tour & served us after the class. She was very personable & friendly. Chef “Jerry” was a blast. Lots of fun with him teaching us how to make pasta. The castle & grounds are beautiful. The wines were very good. This was a terrific experience!
This was such a great experience for our family!! Jerry was extremely knowledgeable and funny - a great teacher. The castle itself was beautiful and the grounds were breathtaking! Very interesting to learn about their wine and their process! Highly recommend!!!
Jerry (the chef) was awesome! Authentic and entertaining engaging all members of the group. This was a group of 10 we had 6 all adults ranging from 19-76 and the other 4 were 2 little girls (5&6 maybe) and their parents. He showed us how to make the pasta dough as well as a vegetable ragù. The meat ragù was prepared in advance as it takes several hours to simmer to get the proper consistency and taste. He is from Bologna so it was a Bolognese, but you don’t call it Bolognese if you’re not in Bologna, you call it Ragu. They then served us what we made and did a wine tasting. Everything was delicious!! Lisa was our guide and taught us about the history of the castle and vineyard. The wine was great. I ended up shipping a few bottle bottles home. That olive oil was amazing. This is a woman owned DOCG Vineyard. And restored castle. I was disappointed that there was not a tour of the inside of the castle, as it is lived in by the owner. But I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.
This was so much fun. Our guide was great and taught us about the different kinds of wines. The master chef was a great cooking teacher to our small group and involved all of us in the preparation. It was a great time and would highly recommend booking it.
From start to finish we had the best time. An experience I can’t recommend enough.book in advance so you are sure to have availabilities.
If you’re anywhere near Tuscany, do not miss this experience! The small group pasta-making class and wine tasting at the castle felt straight out of a movie. The hosts were warm, funny, and knowledgeable - and the views? Unreal. Rolling hills, vineyards, and that golden Tuscan light. We made fresh pasta from scratch (so fun and surprisingly relaxing), then sat down to enjoy it with incredible wines produced on-site. The castle itself is rich with history and charm - every corner was photo-worthy. This wasn’t just a cooking class; it was an unforgettable cultural moment. Book it, thank yourself later!
The staff were all very hospitable and fun. We learned a lot about the property and its history. Enjoyed cooking with Chef Gerry immensely! We also took up their offer to arrange transportation for an additional fee from the city center of Firenze, which was hassle-free and worth it. Beautiful day!
What a perfect first day in Italy, ever. My wife and I had the good fortune of being the only 2 booked for the tour here. We got there a bit early and were pleasantly surprised that the grounds are as pictured, storybook-like with a charming character and interesting history. We were welcomed by a golden retriever and his persimmon treasure. There was an olive harvest and processing in action so we took some time to enjoy being outside in the bucolic atmosphere. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and a joy to talk to, we had a great time with her. As a longtime hobby chef, I learned a lot from Jerry. He is a master of his craft with passion and enthusiasm for what he does. I hope that we can remember how to make the Sofrito & Tagliatelle. The wine tasting was great too, I am glad we got to try the underappreciated Chianti Rufina Riserva as well as interesting wines they have in production such as the Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo blend. I wish we had gotten to try their amphora-aged wine they had in the shop. I picked up some olive oil, jam, and grappa which made it back home. An excellent enotourism experience that I recommend, great memories
Ground transportation limited to taxi or uber approximately $80 EU. Tour was excellent my favorite part. Wish we could have been given the recipe of the sauce.
It was my daughter‘s idea to go to a Tuscany castle to learn how to make a real pasta. I was quite reluctant. How wrong I was! Incredibly beautiful place, amazing experience, warm atmosphere, great wine, tasty food, lovely, friendly, funny people. We loved every minute of it. Eleina (sorry, I’m not sure how to spell your name) was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and made us feel like home and very relaxed. Jerry is bigger than life. Fantastic chef, great character. Thank you all so much. We would not hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone. Our only regret was we forgot to scan QR code and don’t have the recipes. If you read this, please 🙏 please send them to Galina Z.
This was the highlight of our trip. The chef (Jerry) was funny and very personable _ you could not like him instantly! We learned about making pasta finding out many new things. The lunch and wine tasting was very good. It was nice to share with the people that were learning just like you. I have already recommended to 2 other travelers to sign up.
Our day at Castello del Trebbio was the highlight of our trip to Tuscany! We had an amazing tour of the Castle and winery with Thomas. He provided insight to the rich history of this property and the labor of love that it remains to this day. The cooking class with Jerry was so much fun. He taught us tips and tricks of past making, rolling and cooking. Our meal was beyond delicious. This is a day we will remember! Thank you for the experience! (P.S.) we took a taxi to and from Florence. Very easy!
Jerry is the man! Everyone at the castle was super friendly and knowledgeable. The different courses we made were excellent and it was a superb break from the touristy Florence. Wines were great and my teenage daughters really had fun
We started with a tour of the winery and then learned about the history of the castle. Then we did the cooking class. Jerry the chef was fun to work with. Lastly, we ate our pasta in a private space paired with a wine tasting. Highly recommend this experience!
Elena was extremely knowledgeable about the wine making process, the castle, the family that owns it and all of that goes into the production of the wine making processes. She was also very knowledgeable about the region and the grapes grown in the region. This was absolutely The best wine tour I’ve ever taken. Jerry the chef who made pasta with us was excellent and His attention to detail showed that he was a true Italian chef. And the meal that we ate at the end of our food class was absolutely awesome. Every single thing about this tour was great and we highly recommend this tour. The tour operator, even arranged transportation for us from the Florence train station to the castle and back to the train station. The castle and the grounds were everything you would imagine it would be.
Outstanding hostess and chef/instructor! It was so much fun and the meal was delicious. The location was as breathtaking as it was beautiful. I’d go again in a heartbeat 😎🤙
Absolutely fabulous day at Castello del Trebbio exploring their grounds, winery, and attending a cooking class with our 8-year old child. The castle and scenery surrounding the area was beautiful. It was far enough away from the closest small town to keep the mass tourist scene away, but it was close enough to easily access if you are touring the area with a rental car. The highlight by far was the cooking class led by Chef Jerry. He spoke excellent English for our group of six. All ingredients were laid out and organized, and we took turns assisting him in preparing first our dessert (cake) followed by rolled rosemary and prosciutto chicken breasts, vegetables, a vegetable sauce, and finally pasta. The chef stepped in as needed to assist in the preparation, especially when rolling out our pasta dough. The two hour process kept our kid’s attention; he was never bored. The pacing of the cooking was perfect, so that once we had finished and washed up, we only had a few minutes before everything was served. Our guide paired the estate’s fabulous wine with our meal. This is a five-star experience in Tuscany and excellent for grade school children.
Great time ! Wonderful welcome, informative tour by Lisa and terrific time in the kitchen with Gerry. Highly recommend. Also extra transportation (additional fee) very helpful and reliable ,
Our cooking class experience was amazing. The chef was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and informative. I have been cooking for years and learned so much. I definitely recommend this class.
Cooking class was authentic and fun. Beautiful area. Enjoyed the tour and good facts on wine making.
Everyone we met was so knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about wine making, olive oil production, the Tuscany region as well as pasta making. Simone and Jerry were absolutely delightful to meet and get to know. We had so much fun cooking with Jerry and the food was delicious! Simone was a very gracious host and even waited with us until our taxi arrived. The wines were plentiful and so smooth and delicious. Could not pick a favorite. Loved them all.
This was my favorite thing we did on our trip to Italy! We learned so much about the wine, the grounds and the castle! Then learning how to make our pasta was so fun! The chef and our guide were amazing. An all around great experience!
Absolutely incredible experience! We had so much fun. Tommaso was a great guide and so knowledgeable about the wine. The cooking class was amazing as well, and the food was incredible. We will definitely be trying to replicate the recipe at home. The venue helped me set up transportation to pick us up from our hotel and drive us home. It was $150 round trip, which was worth it in my opinion as taxis are expensive and this was so convenient. This experience was worth every penny!
Where to begin! The property is absolutely beautiful on the country side and the staff is beyond amazing, they made the tour fun and interesting! The cooking class was the best part for us. The chef was so kind, funny and helped us all feel involved. The meal we made was out of this world and we got to pair it with so many wines. It was a perfect experience that we would recommend to anyone!
Our tour guide Tomaso was so sweet and knowledgeable. We were running a few minutes late and he called to make sure we were ok and patiently waited for us to arrive to begin the tour. I loved that this tour included not only a tour of the winery but also the pasta cooking class. Most tours offer only one or the other but this gave us the opportunity to experience both, and in a stunning location with a castle and gorgeous Tuscan views of the mountains. Our chef was so friendly and patient and helped us through the entire cooking class. Even my young daughter who is only 12 had so much fun and was able to participate in the cooking class as well. We loved every minute of it and will definitely be recommending it to all of our friends who visit Florence.
Awesome experience with knowledgeable and friendly staff who were passionate about their work and beautiful food.
Absolutely amazing. The grounds were breathtaking and the guide shared an amazing history of the castle and their owners. The cellars were something out of a movie. Couldn’t believe how preserved everything was. The chef…extremely engaging and funny. He explained the process with ease and we just had a really great time. Surprisingly everything we prepared was delicious and I say surprisingly because we had some challenges when making the pasta! Not as easy as it looks! Would do it again.
The history explanation on the tour was so interesting and the cooking class so much fun for even the novice chef
From start to finish, was a great experience. The tour of the property and history was good. The meal preparation was a blast. Our chef was great! The food and wine was wonderful. Beautiful property and wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
This was the part of our vacation I was most looking forward to. It exceeded my expectations! The staff was so fun & informative. We learned a lot of great things & I can’t wait to get home & try to recipes again!😃
The experience was amazing. The kids did not participate much in the pasta making experience, but everyone in the family thought that the vineyard was spectacular and the food was 'out of this world' delicious. I would recommend this experience to anyone who loves wine and food!
Absolutely loved the experience! Tommy is a doll and explained every step with detail. The staff was friendly and informative. Would highly recommend.
The cooking + wine tasting class was an absolute blast! My husband and I lucked out and ended up being the only ones on the tour and the whole time it felt very private. Despite us being the only two, our tour guide Tommaso gave us a wonderful tour throughout the castle and gave us lots of history of the background of the place. After the tour, we had our cooking class with Gerry and we learned to cook pasta, chicken (delicious!) and the traditional Fiorentina cake, schiacciata. We were then served our own cooked meal along with all the wine pairings that went with our lunch. Overall, a great tour!
This was an amazing tour. My wife and 14 yo daughter and myself went on this tour. It was very intimate, we learned so much about the region and history of the castle, plus had a wonderful time with the coking class. The meal at the end was fantastic and the wine delightful.
This experience was worth every penny! Thomas did an amazing job explaining the history of the castle and the wine making process. Chef Jerry was wonderful teaching our class!!! The food was amazing! Our lunch was the best food we have had on our trip, and of the course the WINE! I can’t wait to enjoy our shipment of wine in the US. Thank you to the entire team!
Such an amazing experience! Beautiful countryside, delicious meal and wine. Loved the tour of the wine caves under the castle! Tomas was a great guide and Chef Jerry was entertaining!
We went with family of 5. What an experience! Beautiful, well presented, great hospitality, amazing food and wine. Tour was above expectations
The tour and the cooking class were excellent. No complaints. The chef was amazing and we learned many new things, even though we aren’t beginners in the kitchen. The chef made sure every student got a chance to participate and everyone was having a great time. The only issue with this experience is that transportation is not included. They will arrange it for you if you call several days in advance. But taxi’s charge double for the trip.
Jerry is a first class chef with an amazing personality and sense of fun and humor. He was extremely informative and made our cooking class stand out as our favorite part of our Italy trip. We also enjoyed the lovely young lady who informed us about the winery and provided a tasting. This is a great excursion for all!
What a fun experience! It was great to learn the recipes and get the history of the castle and vineyard.
Amazing is not enough of a word to describe this tour! Chef Jerry was very informative and fun. Tomaso is an asset to the castle and I would highly recommend this tour! Request Tomaso! He knows his stuff.
This was a great experience. We enjoyed the tour, cooking class, and wine tasting. I would highly recommend this tour
My favorite thing I did while saying in Florence! The tour was informative and interesting, the cooking class was so much fun and the wine was delicious- not to mention outstanding views! Everyone was so lovely! Thank you!
A beautiful place rich with history. This was a fabulous trip!! Simone and Chef were great!!! We loved every minute. Highly recommend this experience!
Our trip, wine tour, cooking class and lunch was amazing. We had a slight miscommunication with transportation which was quickly fixed and the staff made accommodations for us to still have our time. The views and Castle were breathtaking. The staff was friendly and informative. Jerry, the chef, did amazing job in the kitchen and we all were able to participate in the cooking process. Our whole family of 10 had an amazing time and definitely would recommend to anyone. This was half day adventure and we were still able to return and have time back in the city.
