My husband and I have done many cooking classes during our travels through Italy and this was without a doubt the best one we have ever done! I chose the pasta making class with the market tour because we were traveling with my sister and her husband and since it was their first time in Florence I though they'd enjoy seeing the local market. Not only did our chef/ guide Thomas show us around and explain the market, but we got to try different things - fruit, meets, cheeses and wine! Any time I've ever done a group cooking class, the menu is pre-determined - not here! We actually walked around the market, assessed what produce looked good with Thomas' guidance, and discussed preferences amongst the group (there were 6 of us total). While we snacked on meats, cheese and wine, Thomas went back to the various market stalls and purchased the fresh ingredients based on our group discussion - we had decided on a tomato based sauce, a zucchini based sauce and then a base that would be meat for part of the group and mushroom for my husband and I (both vegetarian). Back at the cooking location (right across from the market), Thomas led us all through making 3 different types of homemade pasta. When the pastas were done and the sauces prepped we all sat as Thomas completed the sauces and put each pasta dish together. At the end of our trip between the 4 of us we all agreed that this was actually one of the best meals we had on the entire trip! I can not recommend this pasta class with market tour enough, it was without a doubt a highlight of our trip and we can't wait to cook with Thomas (who is a culinary genius!) again!

This was the highlight of my trip to Florence. The guide made pasta making super awesome, but also simple to follow for those who don't cook. We had a great time, didn't feel rushed. This experience exceeded my expectations. It is a MUST do in Florence.
Absolutely amazing experience! This was my favorite thing we did in Florence. Authentic Italian market tour was very cool and felt authentic, and Chef Davide was so fun! Delicious! 1000% recommend!
Andrea was incredible! Such a warm, funny, experienced chef. The pasta we made was unbelievable yet very accessible — I can definitely see us making this food again at home. Going to the local market was also really cool!
We had an unforgettable experience at Pasta Class Florence with the amazing MasterChef Davide! From the moment we met, he made our family feel welcome and excited for the day ahead. He took us on a local market tour to handpick the freshest vegetables and chicken, then introduced us to his friend Stefano—the “Cheese Wizard”—for an incredible tasting experience. Back in the kitchen, Chef Davide guided us through making fresh pasta from scratch. He was patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and—most importantly—absolutely hilarious. We were laughing the entire time while learning real techniques we can’t wait to try at home. Chef Davide made the experience personal, fun, and unforgettable. Thank you for the memories—can’t wait to cook with you again!
Simone was a superb teacher! We started across the street at the wonderful fresh market with cheese and salami/prosciutto boards with other treats. (Parmesano Reggiano, need I say more? )Moved onto the finest butcher stalls with meats/poultry. Simone asked me what I liked and was making up recipes as we went from butchers and spice stalls to the outside produce market. Omg. Fresh artichoke, fava beans, basil. At their lovely new kitchen across the street we spent the morning making the 3 most beautiful sauces and fresh pasta by hand. Honestly, the duck ragout was to die for. The artichoke sauce was incredible. The pesto so elevated! Honestly, it was my favorite experience in Italy. I should’ve done this first instead of at the end of the trip because it was so educational. Even if you have a Nonna, do this!
