We had an incredible day. For many reasons, including several wonderful wines, but especially because Luca was the most amazing guide of a thousand talents. He picked us up and drove us to the winery and told us so much about the region on the way. Same for the history of the Fattoria S. Pancrazia winery. Which had the most amazing view of the Tuscan countryside. Luca was very knowledgeable about the wines and discussed them in a very approachable, unpretentious way. And then there was the food! The antipasto tray was a great selection that complemented the wines perfectly. And we learned about the magic of arugula-pesto on crostini. Then he made us a great pasta dish to go with several of the winery’s reds. So, in summary: beautiful old winery with spectacular view. Wonderful wines and food. And a great guide that made it informative and fun.
Beautiful day in the Italian countryside. Loving slow and basking in the Tuscan sun. The vineyard is small and personal, the wine is just what you want from this experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job of helping us understand life on the vineyard.
I was traveling with my 18yr granddaughter. I love wine and wanted to teach her about good wine. She can not drink in the USA legally at 18yr but she can in Italy. The total group was maybe 10 people. We arrive in two vans. 8 went on Vesba tour. My granddaughter and I had a tour of the winery and vineyard. Sampled 6 wines and had a wine lesson by a sommelier. He also taught at Florence University. Very informative and friendly. Good group of people. Would do it again.
We took the trip to Chianti from Florence. Luca was our driver and so funny, entertaining, and made the trip worthwhile. Iris was at the winery and guided us through the wine and food pairing. Overall a very fun experience
It was very well put together. Our guide was so knowledgeable and the wines were fantastic !! Highly recommend
Luca, sommelier at Frattorio S. Pancrazio was an outstanding guide. He shared interesting history of the vineyard, provided practical lessons in wine tasting and was a gracious host. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Amazing Tuscan experience visitng a beautiful winery overlooking the Italian countryside. The wine was phenomenal and the hosts were great. My wife and I really enjoyed the tour and tasting on this small semi-private tasting.
Great wine tour with amazing guides, perfect timing too. Got to experience a bit of Florence wine country with plenty of time back in the city afterwards.
Good tour guide, winery tour and tasting. However for the high price we had expected to see more of the Tuscan country side and have a spectacular lunch. The ride was 15-20 minutes in the city, and the lunch was average. This tour was very poor value compared to tours we had in other cities during our 17 day trip across northern Italy. For example, this tour was $595 for the two of us vs our Murano and Burano island tour for $142. We saw and experienced more on the island tour for 1/4 of the price.
Loved the wine tasting experience The guides were amazing, informed us about the entire making process and history of each wine It would strongly recommend this trip!
The tour was fabulous!! Hosts were super friendly and fun!! The wine tasting experience was awesome great wines and our Sommelier was so knowledgeable and engaging!! Highly recommend!
This wine tasting did not live up to the description provided. The host sommelier was personable, knowledgeable and attentive to our group given the number of wines tasted. The lunch and transportation were a huge disappointment. With a cost of $150 cost per person, the lunch should have been better than some bread, a couple slices of cured meat and cheese and couscous followed by a mini fig newton cookie. The van driver was engaging and entertaining but the van was too cramped (and not clean) to transport 8 adults comfortably for the 30 minute ride. The cost was way too much for what was provided.
This trip was totally awesome experience. From the drive out to the private Vinyard to the tour of the winery. We lucked out and got a private tasting simply by chance as the bookings were slow that day. The sommelier took us for a tour of the Vinyard and back to the tasting area, where we tastes 6 awesome wines. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable about the wines right from harvest to the table. Once the Vespa drivers got back we all enjoyed a great lunch served in the tasting area. Over all highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Great day! Well worth the money! Beautiful views and it was interesting to learn about the wine making process. Iris was a pleasure to be with. She was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! We met some nice couples as well. We will recommend to friends!
The setting was excellent, the company was great, and Iris was fantastic walking us through the process and tasting!
This was such a fun day trip! The winery is small which makes it feel so personal while you are there. Our sommelier was very fun and knowledgeable. As the other reviews mention, some group members will be there for a Vespa ride while others are just there for the wine. You will get much more information on the wine and time with the sommelier with this experience, but you still get to taste all the wines on the Vespa tour (basically we were tasting while they did their 30 minute ride). I would highly recommend this! Dejan (the owner) happened to be driving our van and was friendly and entertaining. If you like red wines, this is a fantastic option.
The area was beautiful. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Overall great experience. The wine was great!!!
We shared the tour with people who were going on Vespa adventures, which made the trip complicated for the directors of the tour. It was raining that day, and different groups returned from their Vespas at different times. This was occurring while we got to enjoy a tour of the winery, the wine itself, and wonderful food. In three weeks in Tuscany, we had the best olive oil here. We also loved the Pinot Noir wines the winery made. It was spectacular, and our guide was truly well informed, kind but not too sweet, and it was terrific to learn so much about a small area of the world. Small but glorious!
Do not book this! We were not told and the tour operator combined those who booked this wine tasting( 8 ppl.) with 14 ppl. who booked a "Vespa ride and wine lunch." Our Sommelier had to prepare the lunch for all 22 people and only poured our wine and then left each time and said " I have to prepare lunch" and only talked about each wine for about 30 seconds as he poured. However, he let in a couple for a "private" wine tasting ( after saying they were full) during our time and they paid him cash ! When it was time for lunch we had to wait 45 minutes for the Vespa riders to return. He literally put our lunches down in front of us and told us we could not eat until they returned. We did not get a tour of the vineyards as advertised. I bought wine and after 7 days have not been e-mailed the promised receipt or tracking info that I was promised but my credit card was charged that day. I reached out to Viator and they told me to contact the tour operator who was no help. Viator took my money and refused to give me any refund. I gave them a chance before posting this review. I have booked many experiences, including wine tastings, and this was the worst ever. I called my credit card company to dispute this charge and they agreed that this was inferior service.
Wonderful half day. Many interesting sites. The guide was great. Very knowledgeable. Lunch and wine tasting was the best people at the Vinyard were spectacular.
Everyone was so entertaining and friendly. The group of total strangers all seemed to bond at the end of the event. Wonderful wine. I would definitely recommend this trip.
A drive through the stunning Tuscany countryside in a comfortable minivan took us to the wonderful winery of San Pangrazio. We arrived to be greeted by our hostess who provided a brief history of the winery and then a personal tour of the cellars and the vines. Her knowledge of local winemaking challenges and idiosyncrasies was extensive and provided for a most interesting conversation with comparisons to Australia’s situations. There followed a tasting of the winery’s products, including a delicious olive oil, with appropriate commentary and conversation. The wines were delicious and the accompanying lunch excellent.
Wonderful! My husband and I had a wonderful time on this trip. We got a tour of the winery and then sat with the sommelier and talked about the grapes, wines from that region, the winery, etc. We tried many varieties and bought a couple of bottles to enjoy while we were on vacation and to bring back. Nothing felt rushed or like it dragged on. It was a lovely time.
Phenomenal experience. Driver who could do stand up comedy, very entertaining. Luca the sommelier, super knowledgeable, moved tasting outside since it was such a beautiful day. Breathtaking scenery. Tour of the vines. And of course, the wine was fabulous; couldn’t leave without ordering. All round fabulous.
What a wonderful day! Loved hearing and seeing the history and passion for great wine! Lunch was delicious! Company was great! We loved Luca!!
What an amazing jouney of history, wines and a top notch guide. A highly enjoyable day.Knowledgable conneseuir, many wines to try. Beautiful views too. A perfect day
We had a wonderful trip out to the Tuscan countryside and were then treated to a tour of the winery that dates back to the Etruscan era, remains that are still visible. The tour guide and sommelier, Manuela, was charming and very informative from the greeting through our wine tasting, lunch and leave taking. The tour director was also a delight, and we were accompanied by a lovely family. The wine was delicious, and I order a case with some of their olive oil. A truly memorable experience.
This was a fantastic tour! Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It was an intimate and special experience we will remember forever. Great wine, very generous pours, and a fabulous lunch to top it all off. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Florence.
The experience was excellent in every way. The tour guide provides great service, knowledge, and was very friendly. The wine tasting lasted about 2 hours and the host was very knowledgeable and delightful. The lunch that followed was an authentic Italian lunch that was well prepared. All around it was an really great way to spend a day in Tuscany.
My family enjoyed the tour of the vineyard and the wine sampling. Lunch was very tasty and we were surprised with how much food our hosts served us. More wine with lunch! Overall a great experience.
Our wine host was fantastic, she was pleasant, knowledgable and seemed to have a very genuine passion for her job.
Great day. Drive and guide was brilliant and hilarious. Vineyard was fantastic and the host was amazing and so so knowledgable. Great day out and all of the group seemed to have a great time.
Cannot say enough good things about this activity. Imagine tasting wine in a small winery above the Tuscan hills. A sommelier leads you through the wine tasting, helping you notice the differences between vintages and aging techniques. This is followed by a wonderful lunch. In addition, Tuscany Cycle is an excellent business, with approachable and occasionally hilarious guides. Highly recommended.
Ok so the minibus taking us to the vineyard broke down on the way. No one’s fault, these things happen and a taxi was soon on its way to take half of us and the other half were rescued by a friend of the trip organiser, she was brilliant and we had good conversation on the way to the vineyard ( incidentally she did mention that there has been problems with the minibus for over a month!!). We were a good humoured group and it was fine, but the trip was cut short by about 40 minutes and we “lost” this time. We felt the rest of the experience was rushed. The lady (cannot remember her name) who told us about the vineyard and wine production was very knowledgeable. We had lunch but it was a light lunch and not particularly memorable. In total we probably drank a glass of red wine each. We were told we could have our favourite wine with lunch from the wine tasting but were in fact given the cheapest wine without being offered a choice. Overall this was an enjoyable experience because of the people we met from other countries also on the trip but setting aside the difficulties with the minibus this experience at over £100.00 per person is not value for money and to be frank we would not recommend.
This group really works to make sure everyone has the best experience possible. We loved getting to know the group, along with the winery experience. It was all beautiful, and felt like one of the best values as an excursion on this trip. We can’t wait to share the wine we bought with our friends on the next leg of our trip. We think they will be impressed with our “find”.
Lovely day out. Entertaining organiser! Broke the ice with everyone on the journey to the castle. Venue was stunning, very informative talk about the winery. We really enjoyed the wine tasting itself, learned a lot about what to look for etc. lunch was delicious, all in all a fantastic trip and we would highly recommend this as an activity to enjoy while in the Florence area.
This place was a little more funky than the other wineries we visited. History buffs will be glad to see the pre romand etruscan ruins under the "castle" The people were really down to earth and the wine was best we've had yet! Some people went on Vespa tour but those who stayed for the tasting made the wiser choice. The wine is fantastic.
The drive from Florence with Alexa and the knowledgeable wine connoisseur Emanuela gave us the perfect visit to Chianti. The wine, food and countryside views were exceptional. Thank you Wayne, Roxy and Nicole
The owner was very welcoming, made you feel like family. The lunch was amazing and we had plenty of wine and food.
Tremendous greetings, wonderful views, interesting history and medieval attraction, delicious wine and food, and an all around entertaining experience. 10/10 recommend. 100% send some wine home if you’re traveling!
The women who gave the tour of the winery and explained the winemaking process did a great job. She also ran the tasting which included a Super Tuscan from 2006. Lunch was very good.
What an amazing tour of Italian country side and wine. The guide, Dagan, is my dude. Quick ride from the city center of Florence, to the countryside of Tuscany.....and we were in heaven. Quick "can you ride a vespa" and then thr open rode without all th3 traffic through amazing small towns and villages of Tuscany. The wine tour back at the vineyard, with an amazing guide and know how of how wine is made, then of course the tasting. Our group of 5, drank 4 bottles of wine, then we bought a case of wine and olive oil to ship home. This is a 100% must do as a family, couples, or even singles. Loved this tour so much.
Lovely tour of Tuscan countryside. We took a van from Florence with two other couples, one who took a Vespa tour and a father/daughter who did a Jeep adventure while the three of us did wine tasting. We started with a tour of the wine cellar, then divided to do our adventures, then met back up for lunch before heading back into town. The owner of the vineyard was fourth generation and incredibly knowledgeable about wine making and tasting. “Borat” our driver was lively and entertaining. Our group had a great energy and everyone was interesting. We wished we could have seen more of the outdoors as part of our tour because the weather was perfect, but that was the only criticism. Otherwise lovely people and an activity worth every penny.
My fiancé and I absolutely loved our experience! Our guides were so knowledgeable and passionate about the wine that it made it even more interesting to learn about. Would highly recommend!
We loved this trip! So gorgeous, so fun, excellent wines. Our guides/owners were fabulous. Highly recommend this trip, it’s all about the grape after all!
Fantastic host, very engaging with great knowledge of wine and willing to share that knowledge with the audience. Fantastic experience 👍
What a brilliant day. From checking in at Tuscany Cycles to drop off back in Florence we could not fault the entirety of the experience. Francesco is a passionate and generous host , and his wines speak volumes for the love that has made them. Thank you for a truly amazing day.
Wonderful wine tasting experience outside of florence. Lunch was delicious - would recommend to anyone with a free day in tuscany!
We learned a lot of about the wine process the owner was very passionate about his job and also it was a great fun!
