Having Claudio as our guide made the experience so much better. He shared history and context on the sculptures. Not just the David but also the additional works by Michael Angelo. While the museum was very crowded, Claudio was able to ensure we saw all of the important pieces.

Our tour guide, I apologize but I cannot remember his name, was excellent! He told us a lot of information about Michael Angelo and the David statue.
Excellent 1 hour tour with guide. Very informative and useful Information to appreciate the experience much more than going in on your own.
Was a wonderful experience. The guide reviewed all the history and the stories of all the background and art and statues. Very pleasant tour guide and a great pace. Would recommend!
Meeting up was easy. We stood in a small line for our time slot for maybe 5min. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the items and history. Had no complaints.
Very knowledgeable guide. The audio portion was very poor. I couldn't understand much so I tried to read lips. They must have old technology in the equipment they use. Verify the clarity before you go on with the tour.
The tour was good and interesting. Quality of the headset was mediocre and sometimes difficult due to feedback. Be aware — the tour does NOT include the ticket for admission to the Accademie. This info is included in the confirmation but was not obvious when booking the tour online. The tour company provides the ticket but you pay them separately 24 Euros in cash (so remember to bring Euros with you).
Elvis was awesome! Very articulate, knowledgeable and pleasant. Learned a lot about the statue and Michelangelo!
Was a great way to learn about David and all the other great art! Our tour guide was very attentive.
The guide’s explanations were clear and interesting. Still had to wait in line at least half an hour. The museum was crowded which made for a uncomfortable experience at times.
Well organized, well narrated and audio equipment was excellent. Only way to go and we are fans of Viator!
Do NOT book! This is a scam. We bought our tickets and less than 24 hours before the tour i was contacted by the company through WhatsApp asking for 25 euros per person, in addition to the initial cost, cash only in order to get our tickets. Through some back and forth through Viator we were finally refunded. Grateful we got our money back, but not without a huge headache. Save yourself the nightmare of working with this company.
Great tour! Skipping the long line was amazing and learned so much! Would recommend for your visit here!
Claudio did a great job He explained thimgs about David that we would never have know with out a guide
Seeing Michelangelo’s David in person has been a lifelong dream, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I was absolutely blown away by its incredible size, detail, and complexity. No picture could ever do it justice—you truly have to stand in front of it to appreciate how breathtaking it is. An unforgettable experience and a moment I’ll cherish forever!
My wife and I booked a guied tour to see the Michael at the museum, we couldn't find our guide, the museum would not let people in because of the tremendous storm that flooded the streets, we were not allowed to go and when I emailed your company I was told under no circumstances do you give refunds. This is very disappointing and troubling on how you treat your customers, when I put my trust in your company when I book events I expect the same respect and understanding.
We loved the experience! Our guide Eliza was wonderful! The David statue was awesome! Thank you very much. : )
Getting in to see the David is a zoo. I thought the best way might be to book through this tour. Unfamiliar with the scene, I was shocked that you have to pay an addition 48 Euros for the tickets to get into the museum. Just buy the tickets in advance and enjoy the sculpture. Stay away from the organized tours.
Very informative. The group leader explained everything detail and gave us I formation that I didn’t know previously.
Charges for standing in line and charge for admission not viewable until after payment. I didn't notice skip the line!
very good and engaging guide who made the experience informative and moving. poorly advertised pricing. If you book on trip advisor you are only paying for the guide and you still have to purchase the tickets for the galleria, doubling the price.
It was fantastic. Our tour guide was really clear and knowledgeable. He showed us the art and the process behind the art and the story around the art. He was very clear. He had digital images to supplement his explanations where he could zoom in. You could stay in the gallery after for as long as you wanted.
Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable- and getting the timed ticket (which you still have to pay for on top of the tour) was great because we walked right in past the cue of people waiting. If you’ve never been here, it’s an extremely small museum and one you can definitely do on your own (though learning more about the pieces WAS interesting). Also, the museum is air conditioned, and you CAN bring a regular sized bag/ backpack in (which I read you couldn’t).
I purchased tickets for 235 to take my family to see David. When I arrived 10 minutes late I had to pay an additional 120 euros to get in. I should have purchased tickets directly from the museum.
Informative tour about Michael Angelo and his art.
Great experience with our tour guide Eliza. Very happy to choose this tour, probably would miss a lot of details and history if I did the tour myself. Hard to hold my tears when I first saw the incredible arts of Michalengelo. Can’t recommend enough..
So easy and so knowledgeable! The guide he do Ed ahead of time and he was so nice and well versed in the history.
Skip the line was wonderful! So easy and our tour guide was fantastic. The group wasn’t too big either so it was very easy too stay together.
Guide was excellent. Just make sure you know tickets are not included in viator pricing. Not cheap, but you do avoid longer lineups if you try doing it solo.
Very convenient to have skip the line access. You will receive instructions regarding where to meet the guide the day before. They have your tickets and you pay the museum fee in euros. The guided tour is well worth the money as we would never have learned much of what we did without it. Very organized and efficient.
The tour was amazing and very informative! I loved that we had some time to explore on our own after.. great experience!!
Claudio was a terrific guide!!! He was knowledgeable and entertaining and very easy to understand - we very much enjoyed.
Great time. Appreciated the guide
This tour does NOT include museum admission. Yes they disclose that before you buy but not in a noticeable enough way in my opinion as I did not notice it nor did the other family that showed up for our tour. So be forewarned And I don’t understand how the academia could show no tickets but then I hand her cash and she can go get tickets on the spot
I was trying to buy timing tickets for the Gallery in order to see Michelangelo work and theDavid’s statue. I assumed the price is higher since it includes access tickets to the museum but it did not. I didn’t read the fine print and only realized the price was for the guided tour and I had to pay for the entry tickets cash before the tour starts. Regardless, the tour was excellent, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided details we didn’t know nor ever heard. The tour is well organized, easy to find the tour guide, wait time to enter the museum was less than 5 minutes. I would recommend such tour!
Easy to find the guide at the piazza. Great live guide who knew a lot. Please note the purchase of this tour does NOT include your ticket to enter the museum; you have to pay the guide in cash on-site.
Since I was not able to get tickets directly from the museum, I decided to join this tour and I don’t regret it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Learned a lot about Michelangelo.
It seemed odd at first to need to pay cash on-site for our tickets, but as our original tour with another company was canceled, this was a last-minute option for us. Turned out great. We had a small group and were inside quickly. Our guide (sorry, forgot his name), was excellent. Kept us moving but allowed time for questions and provided interesting information about David and all the other Michelangelo works there. Highly recommend.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and relayed the history of Michelangelo in a very understandable manner.
This was a great quick trip in and out to see David and a few other paintings. We checked the box and saw the real McCoy. And, our tour guide did a good job of helping us see and understand more about Michaelangelo and his sculptures.
Elvis was knowledgeable and personable. Overall a very enjoyable and informative experience.
Our guide-Alisa-was so knowledgeable. She gave just the right amount of information for us to really feel connected to the experience.
This Skip the Line David Guided Tour was truly outstanding and one of the highlights of our trip. From start to finish, everything was seamless and incredibly well organised. Our guide, Claude, was exceptionally knowledgeable and brought the entire experience to life. His deep understanding gave us a real insight into the life and mindset of Michelangelo, which made seeing David even more powerful and meaningful. The way he explained the history, artistry, and significance of the sculpture was fascinating, and we came away with a much richer appreciation than we ever would have on our own. An absolutely unforgettable experience—highly, highly recommended!
The guide was excellent. He knew the subject thoroughly and could answer all the obscure questions we had including providing an iPad with illustrations. We really appreciated his insight!
Guide was knowledgeable but the tour really only covered the sculptures of Michelangelo and nothing of the rest of the museum. Highly recommend skipping the line to save time.
This was such a great experience, for two out of three of us it was our first time at this exhibit. The tour guide met us and handed us our earpieces, and we were able to easily navigate entrance in the tour process with them. I definitely recommend going this route for first timers!
Started too late. Late arriving group threw us off. Spoke too fast. Trust your audience by speaking more slowly. Not always easy to understand.
The experience seemed rote. The guide was helpful but seemed almost robotic in the delivery. We didn’t see the advantage to this versus just buying our own tickets.
The one hour tour is perfect for maximum learning about Michelangelo and his art. And to view The David is breathtaking!
Wonderful! Very informative and enjoyable. We learned so much about David and it was nice to skip the line.
