Good tour guide with interesting insights on the statue of David. We recommend this tour along with the tour of the Gallery Uffizy.

This was the second year in a row I have taken this tour with the same guide - Claudio. This is a very informative hour and Claudio was excellent both times.
Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and thoroughly explained not only the different sides and expressions of David but each of Michelangelo’s unfinished pieces. He also encouraged us to take time after the tour to see the first musical instrument museum attached and enjoy the pieces of other artists in the museum. Our guide was patient and spoke excellent English. When we booked the tour with Elvis - we didn’t read the details and didn’t realize the price of the tour did not include the actual museum ticket of 24 a person. Luckily we had enough cash on us to pay our guide the ticket fee. Make sure you bring your passport as the museum does random id checks before entering the museum. It was really nice to be able to follow our guide and skip the long line of people that were waiting to get in the museum. Definitely worth it!!
We didn’t realize that the fees paid in advance didn’t include entrance fee. We really enjoyed the guided tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
This was worth it for the 'skip the line' - given how crazy long the line was to see. Our guide made the visit more valuable with his insights into the statue - particularly looking at it from all angles. His background on the unfinished Michaelangelo sculptures was also really interesting. The rest of the museum was underwhelming compared to the Uffizi - which was magnificent and completely overwhelming!
Convenient and informational. A very good way to appreciate the most photographed statue in the world from a fresh angle.
Very informative. Being able to bypass the line is the only way to go. Run much better than other tours.
This tour was 100% worth it. I will be honest, I almost cancelled it. We had been very busy exploring Rome then Florence, and I was tired. We saw the David replica so I thought, what is going to be any different than the real one? I was so wrong! Walking in and seeing it tower is breathtaking. But what made it worthwhile was our tour guide. I learned so much about David and about Michelangelo. He has other pieces in the museum that are interesting as well. While we technically still had to wait in a line to get in, it went very quickly.
Great tour especially when you have little time, quick and thorough with no waiting in line etc Very knowledge guide
Seeing David and the other pieces was unbelievable! Truly amazing! I would recommend going! I am not someone who knows much about art in general but still really enjoyed seeing Michelangelo’s works and learning about him.
The tour tried to charge an extra $48 euros at the last minute. I didn’t expect that.
This was the best tour! Well worth the $! We learned so much about David and Michaelangelo and our guide Claudio was fantastic! Small group of 8 walking thru a crowded area but it was very good.
Tour was less than 45 mins, and the mic was terrible. Neat information - but other guides seemed way more in depth
**** DOES NOT INCLUDE TICKET **** The tour was wonderful short and sweet about an hour only shows you the statue of David and four other statues and explains the history behind it. But whoever met us outside charge 48$ for two people cash only. Which was kind of disappointing because we already paid 100$ in change on this museum already.
Our guide, I wish I could remember her name, was charming and knowledgeable. I have used Viator before, and have always had great success.
Very cool, unbelievable tour. The sculptures, paintings, instruments, and environment were special. Our host was magnificent and so knowledgeable. We learned so much about Michelangelo; his life, his career, how he was different than other sculptures/painters. A must do tour if in Florence.
This tour was better than we ever expected and worth every Euro. Claudio(?) was our tour guide, and he had us captivated with the stories that he told of Michaelangeo. The pace was perfect, and it was not only informative, but added humour to the experience. He made our tour the highlight of our Italy trip!
There is a sizeable additional cash payment for entry to the venue that is not well highlighted upon booking the tickets. We had zero cash on us when we arrived at the venue yesterday afternoon so could not attend. We were told our payment to Viator would be repaid in full but we are yet to receive anything. Very disappointing experience.
Really good experience they where so helpful and kind. There was a general strike in Italy the museum was closed for one hour and the help me to get in a different time.
Our guide was just ok. Nothing special. He did quite a quick tour. Basically told us he wasn’t going to tell us about any of the paintings because they were unimportant and we should go to the Ufizzi to see paintings. Told us only about the David and the Prisoner sculptures of Michelangelo. The tour was supposed to be about the Acadmia. Not just the few famous sculptures of the Academia. Next time I think I’d choose a different tour
I was very worried when we booked and they told us that ticket was not included and we needed to pay cash! This was not made clear at all on Viator. Everything worked fine in the end and our guide was very good.
Had a great informative tour with Eliza! Well worth the money to skip the line to get into the museum (which seems like it can be upwards of 1-2 hours without a tour group!) Wonderful tour with additional context about some art pieces and art, about an hour long.
This was a great quick tour. Only about an hour, and so worth the money for the guide and of course being able to skip the long line. We had Eliza and she was so engaging and informative. I learned so many interesting facts about Michelangelo and his David statue.
This tour is well worth it! Can you visit the David on your own and still be wowed by the experience? I'm sure you can, but to have a guide to explain and point out all the nuances of the sculpture, share the history of Michaelangelo, the person and the artist, and explain the typical sculpting process of their time is invaluable. While I'm a history lover, traditional museums often cause sensory overload for me; however, this tour hit every note just right. I hung on every word of our guide, Claudio. He imparted his knowledge with just the right amount of humor and solemnity, and he was easy to understand (I am somewhat hard of hearing so even with the earbuds I often find it difficult to decipher what is being said through a heavy accent). Finally, even though we had to wait in a line for about 15 minutes before we entered the museum, when we came out there was a huge line that must have had at least an hour wait, so this whole 'skip the line' business is legit. Don't hesitate. Viator has this dialed in; you won't regret taking this tour. And one last thing, above and beyond everything else, walking in and seeing the David in person actually brought tears to my eyes. It's magnificent!
Tour operator very responsive to WhatsApp communication. The guide was very knowledgeable about the Statue of David
I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but this was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Our guide was able to point out many facets of the statue that won would not normally know. It made the experience remarkable.
Most of tour is spent on David and Michaelangelo's six incomplete works. Time is spent on all 4 sides of David providing a thorough discussion of the sculpture as well as the artist's technique.
It was a great experience and our guide Leonardo was very knowledgeable, informative & personable. We were very impressed.
Very informative, exceptional guide, well worth the time! Learned so much about the painters and sculpting and DaVinci’s early life.
The Accademia was terrific and the guide was excellent. Highly recommend using a guide for this museum.
Elvis our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Took time to answer any questions. Check in was very easy
Absolutely fantastic tour....the guide was amazing learnt so much..would highly recommend to others.
When you see the line at the museum its very daunting, but having the tour guide lead the way makes everything super simple
Claudio was very informative. We learned quite a bit from him! The meeting point is not clear. Maybe some definitive landmarks would help. Also, we had to pay in cash, 48E which seemed a little sus
Claudio was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and explained everything so well. Not too long of a tour perfect amount of time.
Very informative & made the experience worth while. Guide was friendly & incredibly well informed. Gracie!
This was a last minute decision to see the David. Our tour guide gave us such an insightful and deep dive into Michelangelo that I have a totally new appreciation for this artist and his amazing works.
Great tour, great experience. We were a group of 4 and booked the skip the line, guided tour the day before. Elisa, our tour guide was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and professional. She gave in depth context to the artists their works. Communication was clear. Experience was very easy to navigate. Recommend!
skipping the queue was a bonus but the true star of the experience was our guide, knowledgable and funny
I only gave myself 1 hr. Wish I had more time. The guide was very informative and able to manage the crowds.
They were very friendly, organized, knowledgeable and informative!!! It was a great tour and we would not have learned as much if we just wandered around by ourselves!
This is my 4th experience with Elvis!!! The level of professionalism is TOP NOTCH! The tour is well timed, informative and amazing. I can’t recommend touring with Elvis enough!!!
Our guide Claudio was wonderful - very knowledgeable with a nice relaxed style. The information on where to meet was very clear. Would highly recommend this tour to avoid the queues.
Really interesting insight into the life of Michaelangelo. Very knowledgeable guide and was great listening to him. Highlight seeing the statue of David.
Great way to experience the museum and learn more in depth info about Michelangelo and his sculptures. Our tour guide was great!
I think his name was Daniel? He was no joke one of the best ive ever experienced. Very knowledgeable and - even better - no flab or wasted words. Excellent tour i very highly recommend.
Our guide, Elisa, was excellent. Very informative, truly a great experience. Highly recommend! You would miss so much without a guide.
skipping the line was worth its weight in gold. the tour guide was very knowledgeable. highly recommend!
Well worth it! Knowledgeable guide, great way to see David as well as some other interesting painting.
Great tour, highly recommend! Our guide was affiliated with 'Tours with Elvis' and when we were not able to make it to our 1 pm tour, he not only called us, but invited us to join the 4 pm tour later that day. The tour lasted about an hour, and provided just enough information on Michelangelo's David, without being overwhelming. So glad we were able to squeeze this tour in on our last day in Florence. David is a must see!
