Tommaso was an excellent guide! He helped me navigate Florence’s galleries far more efficiently than I could have on my own and shared insights that made the art much more interesting and enjoyable. His recommendations for other places to visit in Florence were also fantastic. Mille grazie!
Tour guide superb and supremely accommodating of our needs. Seamless experience; all we needed to do was show up at the appointed location.
Half day private tour of Uffizi and Accademia (statue of David). Our tour guide Aksana did a great job of explaining each painting, sculpture and work of art, making them interesting and relating them to history and how Florence has evolved today. Much better than those large group tours. Highly recommended!
Spent the morning with Marta. Incredible guide. Personable, funny and incredible love of Florentine history. We toured the Uffizi and the Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze to see David. Her ability to weave history into the paintings we saw from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance was fascinating. This is the third time in 20 years I've made this tour but I would say with Marta that I learned more today than all of my previous trips combined. Word to the wise- the lines without a guide are madness, even in October. Would absolutely recommend this tour for a learning experience and to make the most of your time in the city.
Marta was an AMAZING private tour guide for my husband and I!! We learned so much at the museum of Ufici and the David!! Would highly recommend!
The guide was very informative, pleasant, and helpful. Was a good introduction to 2 very important museums.
Mary was terrific. Passionate about art. Very considerate of my mobility limitations.
Fantastic tour - both museums are incredible and with limited time could only hit the highlights but Marta, our guide, made it fun and interesting! She was a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to work with! Thanks for a great tour Marta!
Our guide Anna took great care of us , explained everything in detail in the Acccademian gallery with a lot of knowledge. We skipped the line to view David a must and we would recommend this tour
We had a very enjoyable tour of the Uffizi and Academia with Marta. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour provided skip the line tickets which were essential as both museums were very crowded. This tour was well worth it.
Excellent tour of the Uffizi and Accademia, Renata has an excellent fund of knowledge on the key aspects of important works and is well versed the history of Florence
I rarely leave reviews, but I was very impressed with our tour guide, Marta. This was the first time our daughters enjoyed being in a museum, thanks to Marta! As someone who has a graduate degree in Art History, I was happy to see my kids finally showing interest in my major! :)
We had a great experience with our tour guide Sylvia. She was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us engaged. She was able to bring the beautiful paintings and sculptures to life! I woukd highly recomend!
So informative and helpful. We really loved our guide Marta. She was so knowledgeable and also made the paintings come alive by discussing the history of the renaissance.
Our tour guide, Mary, did a fantastic job with our family! She kept things moving and kept us all engaged as we made our way through the Renaissance artwork at the Uffizi and to the L’Accademia to see The David. She was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much and gave such great details about the artwork and especially about The David. Thank you, Mary, for sharing all of your knowledge with us!
Private tour of the Uffizi and acadamie is worth the price! Natalia was a knowledgeable tour guide and she easily navigated us through crowds.
Great experience! Francesca was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much. Very smooth process getting into both museums ahead of the lines.
We loved our tour guide Constanza. She was such a great guide and was very patient with us. We would definitely come back and do this private tour again. I think it’s the only way to go when the lines at the museum are so long and it’s very hot.
Private guide Mirella was excellent so full of knowledge and directs you to the most important works with great insight. Helps with navigating crowds and getting close to view.
Our guide Mirella was great! Very informative, moved at our pace, focused on all the most important exhibits and made it a great experience.
An immersive tour explaining the Medici family’s influence and importance in renaissance art. Mirella is incredibly knowledgeable!
This tour was fabulous - our guide, Mirella, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and tailored the tour to our interest level for each stop. She was engaging and funny, very approachable about the level of detail we wanted to know. We also loved the history she provided on the walk from the Uffizi gallery to the Accademia. Wonderful tour - would highly recommend.
Marco was great. He tailored the tour to our preferences and gave us lots of additional info regarding our interests.
Renata was a wonderful guide- so very knowledgeable about art history. I felt like I could ask her anything related to the Uffizi Museum/Gallery or the Accedemia and she would know the answer. The private tour with skip the line entrance was 1000% worth it. This is a MUST do when traveling to Florence.
We had an absolutely incredible time visiting the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia with Mirella What could have been an overwhelming visit to two of Florence’s most busiest museums was an engaging journey through art history. Our guide brought deep knowledge and expertise to each of the pieces we saw — from Botticelli’s works at the Uffizi Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia. The context and stories shared made everything meaningful, not just a walk past famous paintings and sculptures. If you’re visiting Florence, don’t do it without a guide like this. Truly unforgettable. Highest recommendation!
Our tour guide Ana was absolutely a delight. She was very thorough on the history and explained the relationship with different artists. The fast track in the line was definitely worth booking alone. Just book it, you will be glad you did.
this was not a typical museum tour to simply admire paintings and sculptures but a curated lesson about the Renaissance period in Florence est expressed in the art culture and it's meaning for the people of Florence. Our guide Alma with her contagious energy and love for arth history made us travel through time to appreciate the nuances of this period. The culmination of the tour was of course the statue of David at the Academia. Again, Alma created the evolution of thought, through the meaning of the unfinished sculptures to the fine details and meaning of the Statue of David... Quite the journey that évoqués emotion from all members of my family. Alma, is a wonderful guide and teacher who made this tour one of our best experiences in Italy. Thank you!
Enlightening. It sets a historical platform from which to appreciate the art and history in the museums.
Francesca was an amazing guide. She balances her knowledge of art, history, religion, and politics with her fun personality. We learned so much and had so much fun.
Our tour guide Ana was excellent weaving us through the masses to see the most famous works with detailed explanations about the history of Florence, the Renaissance masters and the artwork
Leonardo was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! He was so knowledgeable and made every painting come to life with interesting stories! He gave us plenty of information without overwhelming us. We even stopped at his favorite gelato place between things. It was also very clear that he is a kind and honest person. At the museum entrances and around the city, other guides and workers knew him and definitely thought highly of him. It’s always nice to know you’re touring a city with a warm and kind person! Thanks, Leonardo, for a great day in Florence!
Francesca Ciappi, from City Florence Tours, provided an excellent experience for my wife and myself. Her solid knowledge of everything related to the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery along with her descendance from the city of Florence and her knowledge and personal experience from this beautiful city, allowed us to enjoy a 3 hour tour filled with history, art, people, events from the past and the present. All this also with a great personality and a loving smile.
Manuela was wonderful. She loves the art and history of Florence. She was a great communicator and very enthusiastic. We had a great time.
The guide was brilliant in taking us to the most important sights, I wished the tour lasted longer than 3 hrs, to see more of the Uffizi, but truth is that one could have days and it would still not be enough. A fantastic tour.
We had an exceptional tour with Laura. The entire day was very relaxing and we learned a ton from Laura touring through the museums. She was kind enough to direct us to the food market in Florence (which is terrific!) great memories, great day. Definitely recommend.
Great information. They provided easy and quick access to the best viewing areas. Guide was well versed in art, artists, techniques, and overall information about important pieces.
The tour guys was excellent. However, I can’t remember her name. She made the tour. She was very knowledgeable and fun to be around
We did the private tour with Costanza and she was wonderful! No waiting in lines and she hits the highlights of the museums.
Pam was terrific. She knows a lot of information about the art. I especially appreciated her pointing out hidden features of the sculptures in The Academia.
Was a once in a lifetime experience made even more wonderful by our amazing guide, She was able to give insights to not only the buildings and their history but her knowledge of the art was amazing. Truly worth the time.
We had the most incredible experience during our private tour of the Uffizi Galleria and the Academia Museum in Florence. Our tour guide, Ilaria, was nothing short of exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the artwork and the history behind each piece, and her passion for art was truly contagious. One of the highlights of the tour was being able to bypass the long lines and to efficiently get us to the right place to experience the artwork close up. Ilaria took the time to explain each piece in detail, giving us a deeper appreciation and understanding of the art. Not only did we see some of the most iconic pieces of art in the world, but we also learned far more about art history in those 3 1/2 hours. Ilaria's enthusiasm and expertise made the tour truly memorable, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to have her as our guide.
Florence has changed in that the Uffizi and academia galleries now allow a ridiculous number of visitors at one time. There is no skipping the line. We waited an hour to” skip the line”. Hardly skipping the line. And the natural prices of trying to wait in line was awful. There were no staff actually supervising this process, and people are just cutting in and out all over the place. This was not conveyed to us upon booking. Therefore we had minimal time to visit the museum and even when we were in there, their rooms are so densely packed with people you could barely move. It was a very negative experience unlike any of our other previous visits to Florence museums.
An amazing private tour of the Uffizi and Accademia! Skipping the long lines was a huge bonus, but the real highlight was our guide, who brought Renaissance art to life with so much knowledge and passion. Seeing masterpieces by Caravaggio and Leonardo da Vinci, and then Michelangelo’s David up close, was unforgettable. Perfect way to experience Florence in just half a day!
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour fantastic! Recommend highly for anyone interested in history.
Manuela was a fabulous guide. Her passion emanated from start to finish for the Italian renaissance and its birthplace in Florence. Her knowledge was clearly expert level. She was funny and easy to listen to. Lots of walking since the museums are separate, maybe bring a small water since it’s three hours long but would do the tour with the company and Manuela 100x over again!
This is a great way to experience Italian Art and its history. We were able to understand the evolution of Italian Art from Rome to the Renaissance.
This was a really fun and informative experience with an absolutely great guide! Although we went on a Tuesday, )which is the busiest day of the week ad NOT RECOMMENDED) as we still had to do quite a lot of queuing , the trip was still the same length of time for actual artworks etc as the tour ran for 4 hours not 3:-) Highly recommend this tour company and without a doubt a worthwhile experience:-)!
Wonderful, very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable. Touches all the historical bases with an easy style of conversation.
We absolutely loved Ivano our guide. He was fabulous. He was so knowledgeable on all of the history of Florence and the art. He also had wonderful sense of humor. Couldn’t ask for a better tour!!
