Guide did not communicate well as far as timing was concerned even when asked directly. We ended up being an hour and 15 minutes late for our dinner.

This was a fabulous day. Cinque Terre is such a scenic and beautiful area. I wish I had more time to spend there. I highly recommend this tour. If you also want to see Pisa, it’s perfect.
Need to understand that this is not a guided tour. You get a driver. For a family of 4 with tall people it was cramped and there were hours of driving. Our driver spoke very little. We paused occasionally at scenic vistas where he rolled down the windows and pointed. He walked us to villages but didn’t have anything to say on the history or local stories. If what you want is a private driver then this is for you. But if you want a tour guide you would be much better off taking trains on your own and meeting a guide there. It’s pretty easy to get around, Everything we learned we just looked up on our own. For 1,000-ish Euro it was a lot, even considering it was 12 hours with about 6 or 7 of those driving.
Our tour guide Mateo was amazing! We met up near the metro and he drove us over to Manarola, we took a boat ride to Vernazza. He booked us a table at a nice restaurant ahead of time where we had lunch and then took a short train ride back to Manarola to continue onto Pisa via car. The stop in Pisa was a little short, but that is fine as there isn't much to do there anyways besides taking photos. I can't emphasize enough how good this tour was! Mateo went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We took our 7 year old son and Mateo was so good with him. He is also very knowledgeable about the history of Italy, and gave us a lot of interesting insight into the places we visited.
My wife and I booked a day trip tour of Cinque Terre and Pisa from Firenze directly with Tuscan Safari. Communication before the tour was thorough with instructions for time and meeting point. On the day of the tour, we met our guide Mario near the main train station. Mario was onsite well before the pickup time and ready for us. Mario was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! We visited 3 of the 5 towns making up Cinque Terre (Manarola, Vernazza and Corniglia) plus stops at other great photo spots. Mario gave commentary for each stop and allowed us plenty of time to see and do. We had a lovely leisurely lunch, which Mario arranged for us at a local restaurant. We then went to Pisa to see the Cathedral and Leaning Tower. We had enough time in Pisa to get some fun photos. Mario then returned us to Firenze in time for our evening dinner reservation. I can highly recommend Tuscan Safari as a guide service. Mario was fantastic! While it is a long day (nearly 12 hours total), it is well worth the effort and time.
A wonderfully efficient way to see Cinque Terre and Pisa. Our guide Antonio was amazingly knowledgeable and knew everything about the region. He was on-time and very polite and professional along the way. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking to see the coastal area of Cinque Terre.
Had a wonder full day . Cinque Terre is beautiful would do it sgsin Manteo was friendly and insightful
Mario was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and a pleasure. We highly recommend this tour as it takes you places you likely wouldn't find on your own. Memorable day in Cinque Terre and Pisa!
Our Guide was very friendly and easy to understand and talk to, he was very helpful as my partner had an injury. We covered so much and loved our day
Amazing private tour of Cinqe Terre and Pisa. Our guide, Benjamin went out of his way to make everything easy on us. This is a must if you are in Florence and want to see Cinqe Terre. Definitely ask for Benjamin!
The day was absolutely packed!! Mario knew all the best ways to get around Cinque Terre- where to eat, where to take photos, and where to get the best gelato! He was engaged and attentive for the day- and it was a long day! I highly recommend the tour.
We had an amazing time on our day trip to Cinque Terre. Benjamin was a great tour guide. He was outstanding and we highly recommend. He was very accommodating and a pleasure to spend the day with him!
Excellent for young people! Tour guide was fantastic. Benjamin was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. He was very helpful and helped us get through the overcrowded area. He made last minute changes to meet our needs. If you go on this tour you should request Benjamin. This area is amazingly beautiful, but very overcrowded and there are no cue lines so people push through getting on and off the boat and train. Do not bring young children, you will lose them! The landscape is very difficult to navigate. Steep inclines and lots of steps. Think twice if you are over 40.
Cinque Terra, the boat ride was nice. Gave a great perspective of the villages Benjamin was a terrific guide.
Going to Cinque Terre has been in our list for a while. Our tour to Italy did not include this area and did not offer the option to add it. Viator was highly recommended, and we decided to get a private tour. Our tour guide, Mario, was awesome. He was on time, respectful, friendly, knowledgeable and cordial. He was able to make a 13-hour tour 'fun'.
Guide was quite flexible and accommodating. Enjoyed visiting the various towns and the boat ride. Pisa was a nice capstone to the end of a full day of touring
Andrea is the owner of the tour company, and we were fortunate to have him take us on the tour. We were greeted in a brand-new nice vehicle with goody bags which had water bottles and some sweets. Andrea went out of the way to make our experience exciting, smooth, and comfortable. With great knowledge and experience, we got to know several things about Cinque Terre which otherwise would have been difficult to know. We requested to make reservations at a great restaurant and those were promptly made, and we enjoyed that very much. We were taken on a Ferry and train and to some special places to taste coffee and focaccia bread. The entire Cinque Terre landscape and coasts are scenic, and we enjoyed it to the fullest at our own pace. On the way back, we saw marble mountains and that was something unique. Andrea did not complain or showed any sign of fatigue even though the tour stretched to over an hour more than originally planned. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a real pleasant experience.
Andrea is the owner of the tour company and we were fortunate to have him take us on the tour. But I expect that the urge to satisfy customers got to be the culture throughout. Amazing tour! Andrea was so pleasant, patient and informative! I would highly recommend booking this tour.
Benjamin and Mario were phenomenal. We had a great time exploring Manarola, Vernazza, Corneglia, and Pisa. Definitely recommend this tour.
Our guide, Andrea gave us a very personal and informative experience! Very personable adjusted the schedule to fit our time. He went the extra mile to make a reservation for us on the waterfront at our last stop would highly recommend Andrea for future trips!
My husband and I booked the Cinque Terre and Pisa tour with Andrea and let me just say: it is TOTALLY worth it! I looked at quite a few trips to Cinque Terre and Pisa out of Florence and decided to book this one so we could hit both attractions. Andrea is a great tour guide who is very friendly, knowledgeable, and great to be around. He picks you up in a very clean car around 8 AM and drives you to Cinque Terre. Along the way, he’ll give you facts about the different cities you pass through. Once there, you park the car and tour through the first little village and then you can train or boat to the next few villages. We highly recommend the boat ride so you can see the different villages from the water. You do have to pay for the boat ride, but I think it was about $14 a person. You’ll eat lunch at a lovely restaurant along the water and see 3 of the 5 villages (which we were happy with). He shows you all of the cool spots to take pictures, see the water, etc. Andrea was very thoughtful and had water to provide along the way and a towel so you can get in the water if you’d like. Cinque Terre is quite hilly so just know a lot of hiking is involved to get around. Pisa was also very cool and I think we spent the perfect amount of time seeing the tower, church, etc. It is a longer day (~12 hours) so make sure to bring snacks, jump chargers, and layers. We would absolutely recommend taking this tour as it was worth the money and we had an amazing day. Thanks again, Andrea!
The spots we visited lived up to our expectations. But, our guide was disappointing. He was an hour late, not engaging, and seemed distracted with personal matters throughout our tour. We would have been better served with a driver. At one point during one of several “breaks”, he left us waiting in the car while he walked around the parking lot on the phone. Not only did we invest a lot of money for that tour, we invested almost a full day of our trip. We loved seeing Centra Terra and Pisa, but would never recommend the guide we had.
Trip was incredible and our guide Edie was amazing. She took the time to make sure we hit all the highlights as well as some individual things we wanted to do like have Pizza in Pisa, eat octopus on the water, see all of Cinque Terre's highlights and try their famous focaccia and basil. We wish we could have someone like her on all our trips. Highly recommend and well worth the cost.
This was an outstanding tour to the small towns of Cinque Terra. The views were amazing and the food was excellent. Our tour guides Andrea and Irina were very informative and provided us a unique insight as to the history and culture of the area. They even took extra time to drive us to Piza at the end of our regular tour. I would higly recommend this tour!!
We spent three days discovering Tuscany with Giacomo. Giacomo crafted each day to fit our parties interests, while ensuring that we hit all of the highlights. From our exclusive wine tasting at Cennatoio, to key sites in Pisa, Cinque Terre, and San Gimignano, and every meal and conversation in between, Giacomo was our key to unlocking the beauty, history and culture of this amazing region. We seriously would not have been able to piece together the experiences we were able to have without him. I'm a firm believer in the value of getting a good local guide to obtain the most efficient and enriching touring experience, and we most certainly accomplished that with Giacomo's deep and broad knowledge of Tuscany's history and present.
Weather wasn't great but our guide Laura and driver Andrea more than made up for it. While it was a long day we had a great time and enjoyed seeing Cinque Terra and Pisa
This trip was incredible. Our in guidance put their heart and soul into the tour. They did anything and everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful time. It is a very long full day, but completely worth it. Not only do you get to see the Leaning Tower Pisa but an absolutely gorgeous coast line and multiple little coastal villages. Including the one that the movie Luca was inspired by. Highly recommend, the tour and the guides or 5+ stars.
The drive between Florence and Cinque Terre and then on to Pisa and back to Florence was filled with interesting conversation with the driver/guide Giacomo who is very knowledgable about art, history, and culture of Italy in general and Tuscany inpaticular. Such an informative guide that managed our group of 4 in driving, recommending points of views, restaurants, and places to see and then booking our train seats in between the little towns of Cinque Terre and meeting us at the end with his comfortable and well-stocked van at Riomaggiore. We had an excellent lunch at Vernazza and some great refreshments in Pisa next to the Miracle Square. Great tour which is the highlight of our Italian trip and a very knowledgable and capable guide Giacomo. We highly recommend this tour with this operator - Thank you!
I did the Cinque Terre Tour + Pisa with my parents and sister. I recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get a taste of Cinque Terre. Irina was a great guide, and made sure to show us the best of the 3 towns with the limited time that we had. We got some amazing pictures, and had a wonderful time taking in the views. Irina also made sure that everyone was comfortable, and adjusted the pace to my parent's needs. Our driver Simon was also great, and made a few stops so that we could take pictures with some great views. The length of the trip was about 11 hours. Simone made sure to include a few stops along the way given that it was a long drive. He also provided information on a few sites as we were driving. Overall it was a great tour, and my family and I really enjoyed ourselves.
Lorenzo is very knowledgeable and personable. Provided historical, geographical and economical information on the development of Cinque Terre and its different communities. He shared detailed information and exposed us to the different aspects of the land and its people.
Great opportunity to get away from the big cities! Beautiful scenery! James did an awesome job as our tour guide!
Highly recommended tour at Cinque Terre! Unique landscape and colorful villages! Irina was very friendly and professional! Because of Irina clear instructions on meeting places and time, she was able to collect and herd a huge group on a relatively short time! The minivan was comfortable with a good driver! The lunch was delicious with local wine and cuisine. Grazie Irina
Great tour in Cinque Terre I had fun in 5 terre , Matteo was amazing , he showed us where to swim ,to eat , to take pictures .Was a day journey wish i could stay more there . The trip was organized pretty well even the group was big i enjoyed it . Thank you Matteo.
We had an amazing time with Matteo during our tour! He was very punctual, attentive, and knowledgeable as well as funny! His recommendations regarding restaurants were top-notch! We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him and recommended everyone to book a tour with him!
This was a nice small group experience we had from Florence. we left the city at 8 am with my family of 5, two girls in their teens and a boy if ten. This was just perfect for us.the right amount of information on the way to Cinque Terre and free time to explore the fishing villages. Matteo booked for us an incredible restaurant with a nice view Belforte in Vernazza. We reached the town by boat. tickets we bought in Manarola for just a few euros. but worth the 20 minutes ride. After Vernazza we went to Corniglia and had a gelato offered by Matteo. a small and kind gesture, but showed us how much he wanted us to have a great visit. On the way back we stopped in Pisa to see the wonder of the leaning tower and back in Florence for 6 pm. in time for a nice Spritz. Bellissima!!
Enjoyed the van ride, visiting the colorful villages, and Pisa. We had a great time! Just wished we would have been able to take the boat ride instead of the train but the tides were high.

We had a wonderful tour for the 3 of us. Andrea was a fantastic driver and tour guy. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and patient. He picked us up at 7:30 am from Florence to start our tour of Cinque Terre. He took the time to take us through Manarola, then accompanied us on a train to Riomaggiore, and allow us to spend time on the beach before then taking a boat to Vernazza. Having Andrea as a personal guide for our family was fantastic. He even anticipated needing a reservation for lunch, and booked lunch at Gianni Franzi--with a table right near the beach. He gave us a walking tour through these 3 towns, then helped us with the train back to Manarola. We were allowed to take our time, despite running behind schedule for our final drive to see Pisa before returning to Florence at 9:30 pm. He was extremely patient, and knowledgeable about these sites, history, economics, etc.
