Francesco was our driver for a 1/2 day tour to Greve, and a winery. He was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, punctual to the minute , and attentive to our needs. He engaged in conversation as we ask him questions, but never dominated a conversation. He gave us history about the area and up-to-date information. Francesco was friendly and polite. We would recommend him to highly!

Mauricio drove our family out for wine tasting and was incredible! Mauricio deserves the credit for a great day! Thanks Mauricio!
My niece and I had the most amazing experience today! Our driver and tour guide, Mr. Paolo Bicchieriai was excellent. He even stopped to allow us time to tour the Tuscan American WWII Memorial and Cemetery. That was a very lovely and unexpected surprise! Our Tenuta Del Pelagio Winery tour guide, Manuela was also incredibly gracious! The quality of wine, tapas and gift store items were outstanding. We could not be more pleased with the wonderful memories made today! Grazie! Grazie! Grazie! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Linda (Sarasota, Florida USA).
Loved everything about it! The stop at the American War Hero cemetery was an unexpected yet memorable spot. Winery and manager were wonderful. Informative, and interesting. Fantastic wine selection and cheese and snack pairings. Beyond expectations
Nice car, nice driver, but waste of time going to Greve in Chianti - it’s a small square and honestly just a big waste of time. Would rather see a 2nd winery. We actually drove more out of the way to go to Greve. Not a fan… Winery and food tasting was nice- lots of bread and cheese. The cellar tour was nice to see- don’t expect tons of technical information on wine making. We were fine with that:)
Our experience was amazing. Marco picked us up and brought us to a beautiful small village to shop before going to the winery. The winery offered breads, oils, and cheeses in addition to the wine. We tried 5 wines and had a great day enjoying the views of Tuscany. On the way back to the hotel we were dropped in a desired location in Florence. The car was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely do this tour again.
Wonderful tour guide - a local Florentine - Alexander. Great transport in nice car to the countryside. Delicious and informative wine tasting.
Perfect to learn and understand how Chianti wine is done and how different it can be. The two wineries were perfectly chosen in order to give two different experiences (cellars atmospheres, type of wines, speakers...). I would definitely recommend this tour to enjoy the wine, the landscape and the tuscan food, without forgetting a nice bus to take you around!
<p>This was money well spent. Even though our driver spoke limited English, he was able to communicate points of interest along the drive to Tuscany. He made a point to stop at a small town on our way back as we had some extra time, and was kind enough to point us in the direction of the best treats there! The wine tasting was excellent and the staff at the vineyard were passionate, informative and kind. It was beautiful and was THE highlight of our time in Florence.</p>
<p>I cannot say enough about this tour and our guide Luciano. We arranged for pickup at our villa outside of Florence for a small additional fee. Luciano brought a great balance of history, humor and love for Italy that was contagious. The wine tasting was fun and Luciano brought us to the beautiful town, Greve in Chianti, the center of the Chianti region and arranged dinner at a fabulous restaurant. This was one of the highlights of the trip to Italy.</p>
<p>Where do I start-Marzio our guide was absolutely amazing. We knew it was going to be amazing when he started out with my family is 7 generations Florentine We cannot say enough about the tour we had. We can say that it wouldnt have been the same without Marzio. If you have the ability to ask for a specific guide we highly recommend Marzio. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.</p>
<p>From the minute Marzio picked us up at our apartment in Florence, we began our lessons on the history and people of not only Florence, his native city, but the rest of Tuscany as well. We have been to Florence many times, but we actually learned quite a bit that we didn't know on this tour. Marzio speaks excellent English and is very entertaining - it seemed as though a friend was driving us around, showing us his countryside. The wine tasting itself was wonderful, too - we thoroughly enjoyed the lessons on Chianti wines and olive oils and tasting those delicious products as well as having the chance to order bottles to be shipped home. This is a wonderful excursion and very well worth the extra cost. Highly recommended!</p>
<p>Very educational tour on wine and olive oil production from plant to retail. We tasted about 7 wine products. It was a fun tour... Plus the ride was very classy in a Mercedes.</p>
<p>Castle was beautiful, host was gracious and winr was delicious</p>
<p>The driver was prompt and very knowledgeable . He accommodated our requests . However, Viator shouldn't advertise "tour the castle" when the castle is closed. Do your homework and provide alternatives .</p>
<p>Our private tour was amazing! Our guide, Alejandro was excellent. He spoke great English and provided us wonderful information and background throughout the tour. We booked the tour with only a couple days notice and it was on a Sunday yet VIATOR organized a personal tour of one of the wineries still (most are closed on Sundays). We got a tour from the actual wine maker where we started with a few white wines, did the tour, and then sat down (outdoors) for more wine, cheese, and meats. The dinner at La Tappas was fabulous. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get outside of downtown Florence and truly experience some of the Tuscan region!</p>
<p>This was a last min booking. We were in Florence and thought it would be great to get out into the countryside for the day, and my husband did not want to rent a car! So, the night before we're looking online for a tour, of course everything was booked up, and then we came across this tour. It was a little more than we wanted to spend, but we thought why not, and boy am I glad we did. We were met at our hotel, right on time, in a beautiful clean, comfortable car by our driver, Guido Laschi. I cannot say enough great things about him, his English was impeccable, he was knowledgeable about the area, he showed us things that we would have never found on our own, it was like touring around with an old friend, he even made dinner reservations for us at a restaurant we had been dying to eat at, but unable to get reservations for. He definitely made our trip, and the money we spent worthwhile.</p>
<p>Our driver was English speaking (from the UK). He picked us up at our hotel in a beautiful Jag. We tasted wonderful Chianti region wines at a very small winery. They also served us cheese and bread and showed us where the wine and olive oil is made. We then drove to a small town for coffee and to window shop. It was very romantic.</p>
<p>This was by far our favorite tour. Our winery hostess, Nadia, was not only informative but very entertaining with her personal stories of working in the wine and grape business. We had so much fun learning about Classico Chianti and tasting the winery's selection. Our dinner at La Toppa in San Donato was also delicious. The setting, hospitality, and weather were everything you can image for this region of Italy. This tour is a great break from the hectic cities of Florence and Rome.</p>
<p>Outstanding experience. My boys loved meeting Alexandro and being taken around by him. He showed us breathtaking country side, took us to a terrific winery and also to meet folks he knew who made wine and balsamic vinegar. The whole day was one sumptuous feast, and he let it develop as it did. We spent more time in one place and so we adjusted the itinerary. It was a warm memorable introduction to the Chianti region.</p>
Our driver, Allesandro, was simply outstanding. Worth a try to request him. The tour of Castell di Querceto was just right and and our young hostess was lovely and well informed. As for the tasting three very "shallow" pours with one of the three being a dessert so, for me it doesn't really count. Good stuff, but it would have been an appropriate gester to ask if anyone wanted a fuller taste of their favorite. If I could do it again we would have bought a bottle to sit and drink right there. In any event, it was a good experience and Allesandro made it outstanding.
Driver was excellent, tailoring the return trip to our special wishes. The vineyard chosen (DieVole) was an awesome experience.
It was an extremely disappointing day, comprising of three glasses of wine a quick whizz around the castle. Another couple turned and paid less than us, and received a free bottle of wine as well as the same tour of the castle. I would have much preferred the bottle of wine to the three glasses of wine.
Together with a group of friends, we decided to take a trip to Chianti. It was a really nice day. In addition to the magnificent landscapes, we could appreciate the excellent wine and local products. The visit to the cellars was really interesting and instructive. We were accompanied in the cellars and tastings by professional and friendly people, who managed to transmit us all the passion for their land and activities. The driver was also very kind. We could not have wished for a better day! Francesca
