Private Chianti Classico Experience From Florence

You’re right. I hadn’t opened it before writing the first review, and I should have. I have now. It’s the 10-hour private Chianti Classico experience from Florence, visiting three boutique/family-run wineries, with tastings, a three-course Tuscan lunch, private transportation, and a certified sommelier/guide for the entire day. Based on the actual experience, I’d write: Absolutely amazing day in Chianti and one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! Tobias was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and the region, but also personable and fun to spend the day with. We visited three boutique wineries, each with its own personality and approach to winemaking, which made the experience so much more interesting than simply doing one large winery. The tastings were fantastic, the Tuscan lunch was excellent, and driving through the Chianti countryside between stops was an experience in itself. I definitely think this tour is worth doing privately. Having the one-on-one attention from Tobias allowed us to ask questions, learn much more about the wines, and really tailor the experience to what interested us instead of feeling like we were following a standard group itinerary. If you love wine and want a more personal way to experience Chianti, I highly recommend this. And if you’re lucky enough to get Tobias, even better!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our tour guide and this tour. It was private and we went to three wonderful vineyards. I highly recommend it. I am a frequent traveler and always use private tours. This one is five stars.

Such a pleasant and hassle free experience. Our guide Stafanonwas knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loved the area and the wineries we were visiting. He joined us for lunch and he got to know us.

We liked our guide— he taught us a lot about Italian wine and culture (which was our primary goal). The winery choices were superb. The lunch was very tasty. Overall, I’m very very happy that I choose this particular tour/ guide.

Fantastic day in Chianti and San Gimignano. Our driver, Angel was extremely knowledgeable, took us to 2 great wineries, and beautiful sceneries. The lunch was delicious too! Highly recommend the tour and this company

Absolutely incredible! This day was our favorite part of an awesome Italy trip. Our guide/driver/sommelier was the best. He was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He chose 3 different wineries that were completely different from one another. It was just an all around incredible day in the Chianti countryside. We will be booking this again when we go back.

Amazing day visiting three independent small/medium wineries who are passionate about their product. Completely private for us two with our expert guide Daria who was incredible at not only organising the day but also introducing us to some history of the area. You will leave with a few bottles yourself (you buy them at the wineries) no doubt as the wines were delicious. Grazie Daria and the team.

We had so much fun with our guide Paola! She was amazing giving us the history of the area answering questions pausing for the unforgettable photos! The tastings and wine were unbelievable and the views are something I will never forget!

We had a beautiful day with Pauola on this tour. She picked us up from our hotel right on time and the day could not have been any better. We visited three amazing boutique wineries and as a delicious lunch at the second one. The drive was breathtaking and Pauola took here time. We ended the day with lots of wine and new friends. Amazing day!! I can't express enough how beautifully planned the tour was and how perfect our tour guide, Johnny was! Johnny was extremely informative and showed a genuine interest in making sure we were having a great time! You can tell he loves what he does! The tour also had 3 beautiful vineyards selected, all leaving such a memorable experience! Such an amazing tour and would absolutely look to book again with this company and Johnny! This was the most amazing part of our whole trip to Italy. We went to Venice, Florence and Rome, but this is the memory that will last a lifetime. Angel was beyond incredible. You could feel the love he has for wine. He will take you to the most amazing wineries and introduce you to the best people. If you like wine at all this is the must do tour. We will be back and this is what we are going to book every day.

Paola and Daria were so welcoming! They both were very knowledgeable of the wine and held a great conversation. I took my mother for her 60th birthday and they made sure to make it special. All three wineries were unique and had delicious wine and olive oil. The lunch was better than expected and kept us full. We even got to try red wine gelato! The views were straight out of a movie. Just how you imagine Florence/Tuscany. We highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed!

Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience the Tuscany wine country to it’s fullest. Our guide, Fabio, was an absolute pleasure. It was VIP service from start to finish. Angel was an AMAZING guide that made the tour so much fun, while providing endless amounts of information. Would recommend this to anyone going to Florence, or visiting near there. My husband and I booked this private tour with very little knowledge of wine and left with a new appreciation of wine, especially that comes from the Chianti region. We talk all the time about doing this same thing again, if and when we travel back to Florence!

An unusually cloudy, cool, and windy day was made very warm and memorable by Angel and the host wineries. The countryside's beauty and outstanding wineries spoke for themselves, but Angel enhanced the experience with his friendly sharing of knowledge and personal experiences. Many thanks to Angel and the wineries for a day we will remember fondly. We will definitely book another tour with Angel if the opportunity presents itself - maybe the sun will make an appearance next time (not that it's needed).

Having a private tour was amazing! Angel is a wonderful guide and set up 3 winery experiences that were incredible! This full day tour was the highlight of our 14-day trip to Italy. Highly recommend and we would definitely book a private tour with Angel again to visit other wine regions in the area!

We had an amazing time exploring and learning about Tuscany and Chianti wines. Belen was our tour guide and she was knowledgeable, fun, and flexible. The tour was well curated and we visited vastly different wineries which gave us a well-rounded experience of the region. Fabio was terrific! We learned a lot and had so much fun the whole day. All three vineyards were unique, educational, & beautiful in their own ways. We’ve gotten most of the wine, olive oil, and vinegar we shipped but are still waiting on some. Just be prepared to receive that a couple months later.

My husband and I decided to do a private chianti tour with Enotropea Tours and it turned out to be the most memorable and romantic part of our trip. Fabian picked us up from our hotel (his extensive knowledge of Florence and Tuscany and sense of humor kept us laughing throughout our trip between the wineries). Our first stop - undoubtedly our favorite, was the Carobbio winery where we learned all about how wines are made with a friendly and experienced sommelier. Our second stop was the Luiano winery with enchanting views of the Chianti region and a delicious lunch. Finally our last stop was Tenuta Villa Barberino with an authentic wine presentation where we got to buy some unique balsamic vinegar produced there. We definitely recommend Fabian and his company for a most memorable experience!

Amazing experience and one of our main highlights during a recent Italy trip at the end of August! If you’re looking for a great private experience this is it. We had Angel as our guide who has amazing experience. His knowledge was outstanding and educational for us. Local small wineries. We learned a lot, tasted amazing wines and had amazing food overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The tour was definitely worth the money. Angel and all the wineries families we met were super friendly, attentive and spend as much time as we wanted with us. We can’t recommend the tour highly enough.

I planing the trip to Italy with my wife and I wanted an experience that would really makes us feel we were in Tuscany and not just looking through a photo album! That's why we booked the Exclusive Chianti with Enotropea, and, we were surprised that this tour pass our expectations so much. We were delighted, undoubtedly the best day of our trip. Angel and Enotropea has done a great job at putting everything together. I highly recommend this tour.

A magnificent tour, led by Angel. I think that in all the tours I have been on, I have not learned as much about wine as I did with Angel in November. Fantastic wines, lovely people who made us feel like family. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Thank you Angel and Enotropea for one of the most fantastic days of my visit in Italy.

We could not describe our Italy trip without including our Chianti Classico wine tour and our guide Angel Fuentes! We've been on a few wine tours in the U.S. so we thought we knew what to expect but Angel went above and beyond all our expectations. He taught us the proper way to drink wine, how to pair it with food, gave us recommendations, and made the tour that much more enjoyable. He even answered questions and did translations for some of the wineries. We initially had Angel for the Brunello di Montalcino wine tour and ended up loving him so much we had canceled our Chianti wine tour we had with another company and rebooked it with him a few days later! His recommendations were so good that we ended up ordering a bunch of wine to be shipped back home. Angel still texts us to this day to make sure we received all our wine and that it all arrived properly. I cannot recommend this tour and Angel enough to anyone who is in the area and wanting to learn about wine!!

Angel Fuentes was just that an Angel. He is warm, friendly, and most importantly very knowledgeable about wine. He answered all our questions and gave us a wonderful day. We explored three wineries and he often had more knowledge about the wines we tasted then the winery hosts. Since we have been to many wineries, we were not that interested in touring the actual wine production. He accommodated our tour to be more educational by focusing on the wine varieties, the blends used, and the aging of the wines. Angel is a charming and great host. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to really experience Chianti.

The wine tasting is at a very nice place with an amazing view. It is a family business and the wine tour was lovely. The wine did come with some food which fits perfectly with the wine. Very nice people and good service ! I would definitely recommend this winery

Angel made the day spectacular. He met us on time and we were on our way to the first winery. We had expected to have up to 6 other with us but ended up having a "private" tour for the day. Angel took time to not only be our driver but also be our friend. While he was exceptional, the wineries themselves were absolutely breath taking. All three stops were amazing in their own was and provided their own history and charm. This was easily our favorite day while we were in Florence. We ended up buying wine at two of the wineries. None of the wineries pressured us to make purchases and were open to all of our questions. Did I mention that the drive was beautiful too? I can't wait to make it back to Tuscany again but until then, I 'll be searching out Chianti Classico wines at my local beverage stops.

I would highly recommended this tour to anyone that is interested in experiencing the Chianti area, the specific Chianti clasico wine production and of course taste it! All stops have something unique to offer that you wouldn’t be easily do by yourself. Three stops in amazing and historical wineries spread in the valley, 15 different wines tastings, incredible hostesses in each of the visits, a really good lunch and best part: wonderful views! My tour guide, Angel was exceptional. He is a professional guide and sommelier too who shared all his knowledge in a really clear way. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip!!

Fue una experiencia maravillosa. Conocimos varias bodegas y probamos distintas etiquetas, inclusive en algunas tuvieron la gentileza de dejarnos probar otros licores que no estaban en la cata. Paola fue muy acogedora y nos explicó todo a detalle. Además el almuerzo fue muy completo. Verdaderamente es un tour privado donde te atienden de manera personalizada.

Fantastic tour, fantastic our guide Angel and fantastic wines. The views from the first winery were wonderful and with the tasting and explanation of some top wines, even better. In the second cellar is where, after the visit and explanation of how their wines are made, we taste an appetizing meal accompanied by their best wines. A tour fully recommended and that when I return to Florence I would do again.
