Pasta & Pesto Class With A View, Plus Tiramisù & Opt. Market Tour

We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful day, learning to cook pasta dishes and tiramisu. It was great fun to go to the market with Stefania first, hearing about Firenze cuisine, history and practices, and tips on what to buy for which type of dish. We then had a short journey in a bus to the small farm in the hills overlooking Florence. It's a beautiful location and great teaching set up and various work areas. There we met Erica, who led us through meal prep and cooking techniques. It was a great introduction to simple pasta meals but the result was delicious! It's hands on cooking your own meal, but you get to enjoy it with plenty of Chianti, a group of enthusiasts - we had about 24 people who you get to chat with, laugh and have food inspired conversations - all whilst overlooking the Florentine valley full of olive trees and sunshine. Perfect.

Florence! I didn't think my stay in Florence could get any better, but when my daughter and I decided to take a cooking class, our trip became truly special. We left Florence proper and headed out into the hills to a charming picturesque farmhouse for the day. Our leaders, Angela and Alessia, were exceptional—competent, warm, patient, and so much fun. They guided us through learning how to prepare traditional Italian food and treats, including two types of pasta and gelato. Beyond the amazing food, it was wonderful to have the opportunity to connect with so many fellow participants from all around the world. I highly recommend including this class as part of your itinerary!

The best excursion in Italy. Our group was a three generation family visiting a long time friend who set this tour up for us. Every one of us had a fantastic time, from the teens to the grandparents. Our teacher was so knowledgeable and friendly. Made our day very special to us all.

This is the best class ever! Our two group leaders were LAVI and ERIKA. They were the best two guides we have ever had on a European excursion. They truly transformed the class from a normal cooking class (although it was still very nice) into an incredible experience. They were welcoming, knowledgeable, and going above and beyond to make it as good of a time as possible. The bus was also clean and the driver was very friendly. 11/10

Such a great experience! The guide/chefs were funny and knowledgeable. They had everything set up and ready to go. They gave clear instructions that were easy to follow and also shared the history behind the recipes. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

This experience was incredibly worth it! We enjoyed started our day at the market and learning about the ingredients that we would be using, as well as sampling different ingredients. The place where you make the food is about a 20 minute bus ride away but feels like it is further, as you see countryside all around. It was so beautiful. Learning to make the pasta and pesto was so fun and our instructors were amazing! Shout out to Stefania and Erika!

There is some walking involved from meeting place to market but we caught a wine window on our way. Bring a shopping bag as you have 15 min on your own in the market to shop! Stefania and Erika are fun and happy to share their knowledge of the market and cooking. Location was amazing, cooking facility top notch. Recipes are sent to you as well !

We had the absolutely best experience with Stefania and Alessia at our cooking class! This was top of my list thing to do when we went to Italy and it did not disappoint. The ride out to the Farmhouse was beautiful as well as informative, Stefania gave us lots of information about the area as we traveled. Once we arrived Alessia walked us through making two types of pastas and sauce, she was an amazing teacher and available and helpful to answer any questions. I forgot to take pictures of the pappardelle and salsiccia tomato sauce we made but they were absolutely delicious and definitely something I will make at home as they provide all the recipes. Then Stefania walked us all through making gelato, we made six flavors in the group and were able to try them all. We went as a couple but we really enjoyed being with a group that we got to meet, talk and share a meal with. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to experience Italy on a very personal level that felt like family.

My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary by learning to make pasta and gelato from Stefania and Francesco and we had a fantastic time! They broke everything down into steps and provided gentle guidance throughout so we feel confident we can replicate the food at home here in the States. They kept things light and fun and the hours flew by, plus the food was delicious! We made a cantaloupe gelato that was our favorite gelato from the whole trip and we had quite a bit. Highly recommend the class and the location is absolutely beautiful.

We had an incredible time at our cooking class. The location was beautiful, and Stefania and Erika were SO fun and made the experience wonderful with their energy and humor. They made making pasta feel easy and fun! This was one of the best parts of our honeymoon.

If you want to have a fun filled day on a beautiful estate enjoying the scenery and making and eating fabulous food this is the tour for you! Stefania and Erica are just amazing instructors and hosts!!! Just do it!

Pros: the food was fantastic and you definitely won’t leave hungry. Good amount of Chianti wine. Being able to make your own noodles and pesto was great. The market visit is a good addition to the class. Cons: the amount of people in the class was 2x as much as it should be. 25 people crowding around a cook space is far from ideal. Although the location was beautiful (outside the city limits), calling it the Tuscan countryside is far-fetched. I’d still recommend the class, but just be prepared for that large of a group. If you found a comparable class with a more intimate class size I’d suggest that over this one.

A really great experience with Alessia and Beatrice. The class was perfect. Beatrice was so clear and informative about the trip and expectations, she also taught the gelato class and explained the process so well. Alessia taught the pasta making class and we were so impressed. She has a great personality and really knew how to engage the class. Not to mention how delicious the pasta was. The grounds were beautiful as well. I would definitely recommend this class.

Could not recommend this cooking class enough! Leticia and Cris were a dynamic duo and kept the energy high the entire time. Finding the group was easy, and it was so nice to get a little outside of the city. The location is stunning! You're well fed throughout the process, and Cris and Leticia do a wonderful job walking you through everything. We're back stateside and making the recipes they sent us afterwards as we speak! Do yourself a favor and book this class! One of the highlights of our trip for sure

Firstly your Staff at the meeting point were all lovely, friendly, helpful and most of all very knowledgeable and English speaking was perfect very much appreciated. Knowledge of the guide Letizia was exceptional, she kept us all involved during the tour of the market, on route there facts etc about the city great to know! The tour of the Market and vendors all involved everyone which was great, bus trip short and sweet which we like as it had been a very very busy week of sightseeing. At the Farmhouse it was from start to finish absolutely fantastic, great fun, comfortable, included, engaged and very friendly felt like we were just cooking with friends at home! fantastic experience all the staff were great but Letizia and Erica were fantastic all around they are an asset to your company! If I come back to Florence we would do this again, but also highly recommend! Keep up the good work and thank you for the email recipes we have already planned Italian night with the family With lots of Limoncello Wine and Pasta!!

What an amazing experience! We had such a great time learning to make fresh pasta and gelato in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous, and the whole experience was so much fun. Our hosts, Alessia, Letizia, and Beatrice, were wonderful! They made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. We did a lot of great things during our vacation to Florence, but this was hands down our favorite! If you're planning a trip to Florence, do yourself a favor and book this class. You won't regret it! We'd do it again in a heartbeat!

This was a highlight for us on our Italian vacation. Luca, Adela, Camilla and Antonio were amazing. I didn't think I could do it but the fab four made it easy with their examples and encouragement. We loved it so much. Add this to your trip and you won't be disappointed.

It was a six star experience, well organized, and a beautiful setting. Both the tour host and the chef went out out of their way to make the experience fun for us. Plus the food was great.

This was such a fun class and a highlight to my trip! We started with shopping at the local market which was very fun, and our guide Letizia was wonderful! Then, a short bus ride to the beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany. What could be better! There we met Erika, our chef, who was really fun and a great teacher. The food we made was absolutely delicious and so much fun to make and enjoy with the wine that they served. Great day and class for the cost, very well worth it. Definitely recommend this class for a true Tuscan experience!

Our chefs Lucca and Leticio were awesome and made the experience so memorable. Highly recommend this cooking experience in a gorgeous setting overlooking the city. We had such a wonderful tour, of our 7 weeks in Europe this was a highlight! We learn lots yet had such a fun, relaxed time in the beautiful Tuscan setting. Christina, Camilla, Ivana and Alessia were so passionate and genuine! One of the highlights of our time in Florence! We took the pasta and gelato cooking class with Walkabout Tours, and it was such a fun and memorable experience. What better way to experience Italy than learning to make authentic Italian pasta and gelato from scratch while surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Tuscan countryside?! The setting was absolutely gorgeous, with picturesque views of the rolling Tuscan hills that made the entire experience even more special. It truly felt like stepping into a postcard! The class was a great mix of cooking, learning, laughing, wine, and, of course, eating! It was a wonderful way to spend time together while enjoying everything we love about Italy. The delicious food, beautiful scenery, relaxed atmosphere, and authentic Italian experience. Staff was amazing and very energetic. It is a long tour, about 7 hours from meeting at the pickup point to the drop off. Bus was comfy, tour style bus. Cost was worth it. Not overly crowded at all. This was so much more than just a cooking class. It was one of those unforgettable experiences that made our trip even more special. If you’re visiting Florence, I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary. Come hungry, bring your camera, and get ready to make wonderful memories! Definitely a five-star experience!

Litizia made the experience. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a passion and energy for the food of Italy. The tour of the market and tasting some of the foods prior to the class was wonderful. Once we arrived at the farm, Erika had us laughing right away. She loves what she does and sharing her knowledge with others. They were attentive to every person in the class and accommodated my allergies which was appreciated and not expected. I would recommend this class to others and will be signing up for a different class next time we are in the area.

What an amazing experience. I have done this class before about 10 years ago and it just got better. Erika and Stefania were fantastic and this is a must do if you are in the area. Well worth the time and the money if you want a little history, cooking and fun! Would do again!

Amazing! It was so enjoyable from pick up to drop off! Coco, Noemi, Luca and Ivana were fabulous! Very entertaining and very helpful with the pasta and gelato class. They took the time to stop and help each of us with the pasta making. We were very impressed with how organized the entire excursion was ran! The meal was fabulous and watching them make the ragu was hysterical! The team really made it fun! It was everything plus more!! Such an amazing experience and I can speak for our group (4) will never forget the entire day! Also, received all the recipes quite quickly after we got back to the States! Highly recommend this excursion!

We had a great time learning to make pizza and gelato with Luca 7 years ago so imagine our joy to stumble onto this tour with him this time! Pasta making was so much fun and easy enough to make at home!!! This experience is a highlight of our trip throughout Italy!

This was a fantastic experience. This is how I spent my very first full day in Italy and it was lovely. We first visited the central market in Florence (food heaven) gathering some ingredients for the class and tasting cheeses and meats along the way. Then we were on our way to the estate where the class was held. It is in a beautiful location, stunning scenery, spacious...felt like it was out of a movie. We had a great group of just enough people without it being overcrowded. Cris and Stefania were awesome hosts who were funny, personable, warm and friendly! The food we made was simple clean ingredients and delicious. One of my favorite parts of my vacation!

We met our group near the train station in Florence and began with a wonderful tour of a local market, where we picked up some of the ingredients for our meal. Our guide shared fascinating insights about the region’s meats, cheeses, and other local specialties, making it a great cultural and learning experience. Afterward, we were picked up near the market and taken to a beautiful property overlooking Florence. The pasta-making experience was fun and hands-on, and the tiramisu was absolutely fantastic! The setting was gorgeous, the experience was memorable, and everyone had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Let me tell you, this is one of the best times we ever had. These ladies were so much fun!!! Worth every penny we spent, and it's not a lot. I would do it again! Alessia and Leticia are the best ever!! They met us at the train station and took us to the beautiful country. We had a good group size, everyone talked and had a great time. It uses most of the day, but worth it. At the end you get to rest what you made.
