Itinerary
Explore the town hall of Florence on a 2-hour tour of the Palazzo Vecchio Museum. Visit the private apartments of the Medici family and climb to the top of the tower of Arnolfo to see Signoria Square from above. Admire the impressive murals that decorate the walls of the Salone dei Cinquecento — the Hall of the Five Hundred — and discover classic art from medieval masters to those of the Renaissance.
The Arnolfo Tower, a symbol of Palazzo Vecchio and Florentine authority, stands majestically in the heart of Piazza della Signoria. Built in the 14th century, it reaches a height of 95 meters and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Florence. The visit includes the patrol walkway, an enchanting path through medieval history and architecture. In case of rain, Arnolfo’s Tower will not be accessible, but the covered patrol walkway will be open for visits. The tower is not accessible to children under the age of 6.

It’s amazing. Worth every penny. The knowledge of our guide was impeccable. Highly recommend!!! No better way to see the palazzo vecchio
The second I laid eyes on Fabrizio, I knew we were going to have a wonderful experience. He was as knowledgeable and credible as I knew he would be. All his stories, which I am sure he has told many times before, sounded like he had just thought of them in the moment. Just a terrific afternoon listening to Fabrizio's stories of political intrigue surrounding the Medici family.
Lively, engaging guide, great storyteller who answered lots of questions. The tour was over before we knew it- it was terrific!
Natalia was an excellent tour guide offering unique insights and a rich knowledge of the history of Florence.
Silvia, our private guide was very attentive and knowledgeable about the Medici family. Throughout the rooms we experienced the magnificent artistries of the times. Sad to say there was one room we were unable to gain access to for whatever the reason. Only 5 participants were allowed in the room, but time was hampered by the continued closure. Silvia and our party was disappointed that the experience we paid for was unable to gain access.
Our guide was excellent and very funny. There’s so much to see in the Vecchio gallery and our guide focused on the key masterpieces. Definitely worth while having a guided tour.
The tour was full of amazing detailed historical information. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, sharing stories of the Medici family. Her passion showed in every aspect of the tour. Very thorough understanding of every fresco, painting and sculpture A wonderful tour. Quite a climb to the top of the tour to see the amazing views.
A very informative review of the Palazzo Vechio. Some historical facts and the identification of historical features made this tour very interesting and worthwhile.
Our guide Rossella was very knowledgeable about the Medici family. She also patiently answered our numerous questions. She showed us the most significant works of art and other artifacts in the museum
Our tour guide was lovely and worked hard to show us everything. She was very knowledgeable and had many pictures to aid in showing the details of the ceiling art. I was very impressed with the Palazzo Vecchio. I think it's overshadowed by all of the other incredible places in Florence but it was a smaller, more bite-sized visit which made it easier to digest. There was a mix-up on the meeting spot although it was not the tour guide's fault. The tour meeting info from TripAdvisor just had 'Piazza della Signoria' as the meeting spot which is a huge area with dozens of other tours happening concurrently...so we ended up starting late even though all of us were there early because we couldn't find each other.
Firstly Marcello, our guide, was fantastic. He made the history come to life as we travelled through the Palazzo. He had so much knowledge, placing dates, names and events along with humor, setting the scene of the central characters involved in the history of the Palazzo. The 2 hour guided tour was worth every penny.
The tour group is too cheap to give you headsets and if you get a guide who whispers like ours you especially won't hear a thing in noisy Florence.
The guide Irene was personable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. We learned so much and she took her time explaining so many details and answered ALL our questions.
We had a great tour at Palazzo Vechio and the Hall of the 500. Our tour guide Natalia was an excellent professional and at the same time very welcoming and friendly. We found out numerous interesting things and a lot of important information about the sight that were worth while! We would definitely repeat this experience and we highly recommend Natalia as your personal tour guide!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic for her subject. Gave us a great tour without overloading us with information. Really great 👍
Our tour guide, Natalia, was so kind and personable. It was our good fortune to be her only guests! She spent several hours sharing her knowledge of the Palazzo Vecchio and patiently answered every question we had along the way.
While it would be more accurately described as the 90min Palazzo Vecchio Tour, we had a great time. Marcello was truly wonderful in giving his account of 14-16th century Florence, the Medici family and the artists associated with it. One of the best tours we had!
Palazzo Vecchio is well worth a guided tour. Our guide was very kind. It might have helped to have a guide a bit more versed in the Medici's history and a bit more conversant in English. It was challenging to have a Q&A.
Natalie notre guide était très intéressante elle raconte l histoire sans nous endormir merci Natalia
