Experience was very nice. Picking up the ticket was easy and was led to the entrance. Highly recommend for an infused tour.

Reviews
Great tour guide. Very nice and friendly. Very thorough talk on the history of David. The reason for the 4 star is it said that it was no wait and or lines. We waited in a line for a good while. So. You don’t skip the lines.
Good experience and knowledgeable guide!
That skip the line is not skip the line. We meet with tour guide at 10:30 am for a 10:45 start. We waited outside on line until 11:30. So skip the line cost $30more than entrance cost and we still waited 45 mins. However our tour guide was excellent and extremely knowledgeable
I enjoyed the tour but as usual, sometimes it is difficult to understand the Italian accent! I suppose I could have done it on my own with an audio guide but it was nice being with a group.
I thought the meet up location was confusing, ear prices fell off and when you wait 30 minutes before you even get into the museum it becomes a flash tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was the process that was disappointing
The tour guide really gave us a good overview in such a short amount of time. Super informative and got to see a side of Michelangelo's works I never would have otherwise.
Our guide was excellent and very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Michelangelo and the David statue
Very informative and helpful
Very informative tour by Paulina, she was very nice and friendly, this was a great tour of the accedemia, thank you to citytours
Definitely a must to purchase a skip the line ticket! The museum is amazing and I learned so much!!!
Overall good experience. The art alone makes the entire experience worth it!
Was able to have a good English speaking gentleman that brought us thru and gave us the highlights. I was taken aback by the age of Joseph at the nativity scene painting, and was astounded at the size of David. The guide explained much to me of the theories at the time of the creation of many of the items. Astounded I was allowed to touch the marble Botticelli Madonna. Still confused on the first statue, idk.
Our guide, Polina, was great. She was able to share alot of information in the short time the tour went for. We had afternoon tickets and was able to skip the lone and make our way through fairly quickly. I would recommend this tour.
Paola our tour guide was amazing and would highly recommend her and this experience to anyone else stopping in Florence who would like to see the Michaelangelo David. As a history lover, I even learned a few things during the tour that I did not know before.
This was a delightfully informative tour, and Polina was the best guide. Loved the little details she pointed out that we would have otherwise missed had we not booked a guided tour. Also the headsets worked great which hasn’t been the case with every tour we’ve booked.
The meeting place was easy to find and the host was easily recognizable with the flag and uniform. The host who met us was very friendly and she gave us helpful information.
This is the perfect experience if you want to visit the Accademia Gallery without waiting in long lines. We walked right in with our guide, which made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. Valentine was a fantastic guide; funny, witty, and incredibly informative. She brought the artwork and history to life without making the tour feel overwhelming or overly formal. We learned so much and had a great time along the way. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to make the most of your time in Florence!
The tour guide was personable and gave great information. There is a lot of great art work, paintings and sculptures to take in. The musical instruments museum was underwhelming, though.
The guide was extremely well educated on the subject of David as well as how the sculpture was made, premise behind he background, and even other stories surrounding the piece. An excellent well rounded education on the sculpture.
It was a perfect amount of time and the knowledge that Giovanna provided was excellent. Highly recommend
Amazing guide. She was engaging and knowledgeable. It was great to get a history lesson on the David.
Informative and breath taking tour of the Duomo. Greta was informative and while there were many many stairs to climb she took a few breaks to make it accessible for the group. We definately learned more than we would have on our own and the view from the dome across Florence was worth the effort of the climb
Resourceful, easy to follow. Enjoyable tour!!
It does not involve much walking so is suitable for most people and age groups. Our guide was a very lovely lady. She gave us so much information regarding Michael Angelo and his incredible vision. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Our guide was so sweet and kind. She showed a real passion and made sure to include everyone. Whether that be through eye contact or asking/ awnsering questions. She made the experience very interactive and interesting.
Angela's knowledge and passion allowed us to learn so much about David and other arts in the Galleria. She managed to maneuver her group through the crowds gracefully. Thank you! We truly enjoyed our time and learning.
Verify informative. It was a good way to spend time out of the heat.
Our tour guide Giovanna was one of the best guides I have ever had for a museum tour anywhere. Even though the Galleria dell'Accademia is not one of the larger museums, of the course of a 1+ hour tour, Giovanna was able to share a wealth of knowledge with everyone in the group, sprinking bits of humor and an infectious enthusiasm for the art throughout. She thoroughly answered all questions that we had and made sure to tailor the tour to the group's interests. She constantly checked in on how all of us were doing, and we never felt rushed or pressed for time. It's very helpful that you're given an earpiece with adjustable volume so that you're able to hear Giovanna with clarity despite the crowds and noise of the galleries. Would definitely recommend. For barely more than the cost of admission to the Galleria itself, it's a no-brainer to choose the tour.
The most disappointing: first - waiting for a guide, never found whoever was leading it… contacting a company over phone - only voicemail. The only reliable communication - through their own app - got us only AI based response. Eventually a human responded after a half an hour - too late for anything. Why, why we need to load a ln app for one tour?! And if we filled in EVERYTHING - including phone number, email, etc - why no one can check before leaving? Company offered me rebook THE SAME TOUR 5 days after: is this a joke?! And pay another 25 for it?!! It was a rare occasion when I actually was supposed to be in a city a week later. I reached out asking if this money can be applied to another tour they had exactly at the time I was in anther museum - flat no. Poor customer service, super disappointing.
To see Michalangelo’s David, and also some of his other works (the Prisoners) was super cool. Our guide was very knowledgeable about The David and pointed out some interesting things we didn’t know.
It was so easy to reserve the tour and meet up before going into the Accademia. The guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself was about an hour which was perfect and we could stay longer to further explore that sculptures and paintings. What I really liked is how City Wonders tours were so organized, professional, and made things so easy.
Great tour for my family. I loved our guide Patrizia. She did an amazing job of walking us through the gallery and walking around Michelangelo's David and examining it from four different angles With the discussion of the piece and how it related to Michelangelo and the time period Itself. I learned a lot in this focused tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially with the young kids who have a hard time with prolonged tours.
Great tour guide but very busy
Our tour guide Valentina got us tight to the front of the line and we went right in she was interactive and very knowledge able. I would highly recommend.
Pick up a bit confusing as guides were under a tree and not at statue. Tour guide was excellent and made the experience enjoyable and informative. Entry was very quick and no stress
Angela Russo was the best tour guide. It was so nice that her English was great and we didn’t have a problem understanding her. She was so knowledgeable and pleasant to listen to and we very much recommend her and this tour.
What a beautiful museum and so much knowledge. Our tour guide was wonderful. I can’t remember her name but I believe she was from Denmark.
Guides are always so passionate and knowledgeable- we always book with City Wonders ans have found them to be exellent. Sarah our guide was great amd very knowledgeable. Great tour and would recommend to get more background and facts that you just dont get by look it round yourself or with an audio guide.
Valentina is an excellent tour guide and provided a lot of great information along the way.
Great tour with lots of detailed information about the gallery. Tour guide was knowledgeable and very thorough.
This was our first time in Italy. The communication from City Winders was great. Paulina was very enthusiastic when explaining the history of MichaelAngelo and of all the painting’s, instruments, and statues. She interacted with the group and was very knowledgeable. We all learned some history.
Wonderful exhibition, a must see when in Florence. Music gallery was an unexpected delight, line was fairly fast moving when using skip the line.
Interesting and likeable guide to see David, recommend an early entry with this skip the line option
Valentina was amazing! And the tour was perfect
Was the right amount of time for what we wanted to do. Informative brief tour leading to what forms was the main attraction. We lingered after the tour to see more of the museum and that was great
Patrizia provided enthusiastic history on Michelangelo and statue David. Highly recommend!
Our guide Angela was amazing! She is so knowledgeable and I appreciated her pace of sharing all the history of David and some of the paintings and other sculptures. An hour was a perfect amount of time to not lose my attention in a museum!
Best tour ever, just 75 minutes to see the highlights of the museum and Sarah was an excelent guide, maybe we could clone her for other tours, it might get a little to much coulture i Florens.
We really enjoyed the tour, Stefano was great guide. His knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious. He really told the story and gave fascinating insights, rather than just facts, so kept us all engaged. The ability to skip the long public queues was great. There was still bit of queue but moved quickly and have to expect such world class attraction will be busy. Inside Stefano’s knowledge really helped appreciate the life of Michelangelo.
