This is such a fun way to experience Florence. Saw many big sights but learned more about them that just walking through. Highly recommend!!

You need to have a good cellular or internet connection or your phone won’t connect well and the game will be slower
Lots of fun with this activity. Locations could be slightly more accurate and unable to get to one location. A great way to see the city and learn some history.
I traveled with a friend that was interested in the history of the Medici family, so I thought this app would be the perfect way to explore without being in a tour guide. We both followed all of the instructions for downloading the app and the game prior to arriving in Florence. The app says that once it's downloaded, it can be used offline. This proved to not be the case, since my friend did not have have data on her phone, and could not use the game at all, despite it being downloaded and ready to go before arrival. We wound up just using mine, which kind of defeated the "game" element of it. Several of the locations that we sent to were inaccurate with the GPS and did not put us where the clue was, one clue was rubbed off the plaque that it was on and was not readable, several of the spots where the clues were supposed to be were inaccessible due to either construction and scaffolding. We gave up altogether at probably the halfway point and did not complete the entire experience. I'm sad to say it was a waste of our time and money. I wouldn't use it again.
This turned out to be a bad fit for my family. I have two teenagers who preferred this idea to a traditional city orientation tour with a guide. This sounded like it would be a great alternative, but instead it was just frustrating. The information you unlock along the way was not for beginner level visitors, it assumed you already knew something about the Medici family and their place in the history of Florence. The clues were sometimes very hard with unclear directions. One was even totally covered by new scaffolding. It was too hot and sunny, and we all got cranky trying to figure things out. It might be a good fit for my husband and I to have done alone on a cloudy day in the autumn, but I still wouldn't put this at the top of your list.
Great story and riddles. It's perfect way for sightseeing, allowed us to visit both tourist main attractions and some "undiscovered" places.
This quest is an excellent way of emerging yourself into Florence! It’s a perfect combination of culture and storytelling. I think we will definitely use Questo in every city we will visit!
Was a lot of fun, could have been even better if they had cheat map/ pics to know that we were going in the right direction. With 3 kids, stroller, traffic, it was getting a bit hectic for my husband and I.
We had an amazing time in Firenze doing the Questo. Even though we spent 3 days going around the city learning about the Medici, we had a nice surprise finding new things during the game.
great way to start your Florence trip. Just the right amount of Information given to keep kids interested. We stopped for Icecream and Coffee in between, so it took us longer than the suggested 2 hours, but we loved the fact, that we could stop and continue at our own time and speed. Highly recommended for families.
My girlfriend and I loved this game! The perfect way to spend some time in Florence and learn something as well!
We did this app-guided tour in July 2019. (before the Covid-19 pandemic) We had a great time. It was an insanely hot day, but the challenge and the format were perfect to keep us motivated (and allow us to stop for lunch and gelato!). The Quest kept the kids interested and searching for clues (and tied in with the stories they had already read about the Medici family and Greek mythology) while my husband I got to revel in the history and explore the beautiful architecture more leisurely than we would have been able to otherwise! I would definitely take one of these Quests again.
I just liked the whole tour. I liked it because of the game aspect: you're searching for things, doing a little bit of puzzling sometimes. You can do it at your own speed and stop for a coffee or ice cream on the way. And I liked the history stories that were told.
Very enjoyable experience. My wife and I had a lot of fun doing this while on our honeymoon. Easy to use app and integrates well with sightseeing 😊
What a great way to explore places and hidden details you would never find on your own. Also the kids loved it.
I really liked this game, it was a great mix between fun, exploration and culture!! I'd surely recommend it!
What a blast! Enjoyed all of it. My phone battery died but I was able to finish the next day. I had never been to Florence and this game gave my walking a purpose. Highly recommend to play and challenge friends.
We were lucky with the sunny weather, but even it rains you will not have any time to pay attention to it because this activity is so interesting. You learn with no effort a lot of details and in a better and lively way than, with a guide book. My children enjoyed a lot. I am keen of History, it was my fourth stay in Florence and even learned a lot.Just one critic : too short ! We could play at it a whole day. Thank you for these good moments shared with my family.
We did the Medici conspiracy quest in our 2nd day of visiting Florence. The quest had us visit some of the main landmarks in Florence in about 2 hours of walking around. It‘s a very fun way to observe and engage with hidden architectural details. We had already walked around the landmarks before but with Questo we got a more in-depth experience and feel to the places. Our regret was that we had no more time to do the other Florence quests during this trip. Doing one each day is fantastic! Also we recommend unlocking the quest directly in the Questo app.
Cheap and fun way to see the best attractions in the city. You follow clues and answer questions around Florence. Fun!
My mum and I did this on our first day in Florence. Not only did we have a great time solving the clues, it also helped us a lot in getting a general feel for the city's walking distances and in deciding which places and sights we wanted to return to in the following days. Pretty sure we photobombed a few selfies while trying to find a specific piece in a sea of murals or decifering the writing on a popular statue.
I absolutely loved the quest!! Knowledgeable, mysterious, atmospheric, fresh, informative and at some point you really do time travel like never before! Being in this place and experiencing a story revolve around you is a real real treat!!! I d love to have this experience in every city i go! My highest compliments to its creators!
OMG, I didn’t have so much fun with my daughter since she was 10 and all of the sudden we did something that made me feel she was little again! absolutely brilliant and so much fun, not to mention we would have never see the spots we did otherwise! BRAVO 👏
The scavenger hunt around the Medici family was fun and provided interesting knowledge about Florence and its wealthiest family. Some distances were closer than we thought, some were further away. All clues were fun to look for and we enjoyed our trip a lot! Great way to spend a day in Florence.
Heartbreaking. There is 24/7 support (fortunately) and some nice little historical explanation texts. But otherwise the directions are bad, the clues are bad, the game makes us go back and forth in all directions, go around buildings in all directions. Not to mention the errors in the instructions. To avoid.
Great way to get to know the city in a different way. Questions are sometimes a challenge, but you can always ask for help. Easy to use and always possible to take a break, which makes it even more fun to work on it for days.
Nice route allowing you to discover Florence while having fun. It's a shame, however, that the geographical indications on how to reach the next stage are really insufficient and prevent the game from running smoothly.
Application very well done, makes discover the city while trying to describe the puzzles. Access to medici
It was an extraordinary experience. Well thought out and down to the last detail. My children had a great time and took a dip in the school desks. highly recommended it was an amazing experience. well studied and in the smallest details. My children had a great time and took a dip in the school desks. highly recommended
We (2E, 1K+1Hund) were only in town for a few hours and didn't want to go blind and so decided to go on this kind of sightseeing tour. For older children (ours is 12) it is super exciting to solve the puzzles and have a story with you. However, is a lot of text and the way is far so definitely not for everyone. There should also be a certain basic interest among the kids. We had already thought about where we wanted to go beforehand, knew that the start and end point was in this area and then actually saw everything we wanted to see on this tour. It is always possible to sit down in a café or restaurant and take a break. The tour can also be divided into several days. You really see a lot and learn interesting things. Especially for day trippers who come by car: Think about where you want to park and how to get there. In this city, traffic is limited in the city centre, who simply enters these zones without a permit, gets a heavy fine (over 100€, camera system, home delivery). Parking prices are also quite different. We have accepted a small footpath and have parked for 1.60€ the hour here : Carpark Binario 16, V.le Filippo Strozzi, 11n, 50129 Firenze FI, Italy
You get to know the city in a fun way, you pass the main places of Firenze and discover the city in a different way
We explored more or less known places in Florence thanks to this game. It was very pleasant and my son had a great time discovering the hidden clues in the city. It's the second game we play and I think we'll choose other games in other cities, it's an educational and fun pastime.
fun experience that allows you to touch the main places of Florence and discover new ones that you would not have noticed. Provides some interesting historical pills while playing. Recommended.
It's an original and fun idea to visit part of Florence. Through the proposed quizzes, we explore various stages, focusing on the synthetic descriptions of the artworks encountered. The quizzes are not too difficult, and in any case you can ask for help if you are in difficulty, even if only when the place to explore in the next stage is temporarily closed.
Contact with the mobile phone is in many cases essential because on other occasions it has worked perfectly. Registration may be fine but you must follow a telephone contact to make sure everyone is present.
Le début était très intéressant mais malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu continuer car un accès n'était pas autorisé et de ce fait, nous avons dû stopper le jeu. Viator ont été très efficaces car ils nous ont remboursé.
For a reasonable price, the track game is really nice. we went to different places and we learned things about the city of Florence. Maybe it lacks a bit of precision about the distances that are sometimes longer than what is written.
