My wife and I travelled to Milan for 4 days of sightseeing then took the train down to Florence in Tuscany for 3 days (Oct 7 to 14th). Weather was beautiful! The highlight of the Florence leg was the Florentine/Tuscan cooking class at Mama Florence! We first made the dessert, vanilla Panna Cotta with a mixed raspberry & blueberry compote. Could not believe how easy it was to make! Then we prepared the braised Florentine chicken using chicken thighs, onions, garlic, rosemary, sage and red Tuscan wine, allowing the chicken to simmer and create a sauce as its fat and juices mixed with the red wine. The aroma was to die for! Then we sliced potatoes and added them to the large braising pan and allowed them to cook down, under and beside the chicken, adding a thickener to the braise! As the chicken was cooking we made fresh pasta from semolina flour and hand crafted tortellini stuffed with spinach and Parmesan. Finally we made a delicious salad from greens, tomatoes, celery and radishes grown locally! The host cooked everything after having us - the guests - prepare the ingredients and make the pasta! When all was cooked we (5 couples who met at that class) sat down and enjoyed a fabulous, delicious Tuscan lunch with red wine that we helped to prepare! It was awesome and the best meal we had in Italy!

We had such a great time with Luca and the crew at Mama Florence! The food was fresh and delicious! It was a very relaxing evening and a great break from days of sightseeing. We cannot wait to try to make this again at home for our friends-thank you for sharing the recipes with us.
My boyfriend was dreading this experience and once he got there and they put the apron on him and made him feel so at home. He opened up and they got him Cooking. The food was amazing the chef and his assistant were the best. I would recommend this class to anyone.
We had a wonderful evening for the cooking class. The food we helped to prepare was exceptional. The chef and help were great. The setting is very well appointed and there was plenty of room to work (our class only had five participants). I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cooking class in Florence.
Great cooking class lots of good tips on making good Italian food
I attended the cooking class with a group of about 20 people on a tour of Italy. We all had a wonderful time making pasta and meatballs, and afterwards there was a sit-down dinner sharing the meal we made with delicious wine and dessert. Thank you!
It was our first day in Italy and it was the best experience. What we made was excellent and I hope to take that learning experience with me and apply it when I go home because I love to cook.!
Loved the class. Intimate and fun. Dinner with wines and prosecco.
We had the most fun for our Private Group! It was the highlight of our Food & Wine tour in Italy. The staff was terrific...and we loved the imaginative menu for our advanced cooking group.
Fun, educational with great food and good people! I highly recommend!
My sister and I had the best time. The class was a learning experience, but also fun! I am going to make all of the items we made once I get home. Our group was small -6 total but perfect size socialize and enjoy meeting new people. The meal was fantastic. I would definitely do another.
We had such a great time! We were actively involved in the prep and cooking process. We made authentic, delicious dishes in a clean & well prepared environment. Chef Lucca was a great teacher, full of information and also fun to work with! I wish I’d taken more photos, but I was busy being a chef & enjoying a delicious dinner!
Great experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic cooking class in Florence!
We had a great time with Mama Florence. The staff was amazing and everyone went out of their way to make us feel special. The space was clean, air conditioned and comfortable. The amount of time spent here was perfect and I would definitely book again.

Amazing through and through! Giacomo was a perfect host and chef! Patrizia was lovely as well! The food was so good and fresh tasting! We couldn’t stop laughing and learned so much! What they taught us has now made homemade pasta accessible for an at home cooking experience!
As one who was a tad anxious (because I do not do so well in the kitchen ) this hands-on class was designed for all skill levels. It was a yummy and social learning experience! We can’t wait to try our recipes .., planning a Tuscan dinner for friends back home. 🩷
Very nice experience, some new italian tricks, extremely nice and friendly stuff. Highly recomend.
This was a nice experience with my daughter. Very fun people that were there as well. Staff was great!
We had a wonderful time at Mama Florence and the Tuscan Cooking class. Chef Giacomo and assistants Milo and Aksel made it so fun. We had four courses: Apple Pecorino & Cabbage Salad, Tagliatelle Pasta, Meatballs & Beans, and Panna Cotta with Berries. We chopped fresh vegetables, rolled meatballs and created pasta. We ate our delicious meal while enjoying fine Italian wine. Highly recommend!
The cooling class was wonderful! The host was great and the chef's were very attentive and helpful. A fantastic meal in the end along with great wine.
Had a wonderful time making pasta and learning how easy it was.

This was a great class to take. The food was amazing and simple to make. The staff made everything very easy to understand and follow. I will leave here with recipes to make for my family when I return home.
Best part of our trip to Florence. We did a private class just the four of us (two young adult children with us). Priscilla and Axel were amazing. I would do this again and again!
Our chef was awesome and showed us how to make ravioli’s and gnocchi. Very good time and great making memories
Great cooking class. Delicious meal and chef was excellent! Would definitely recommend!
Our family of three (two parent and one 12-year old) loved the Tuscan cooking class. The chefs teaching us and the food we cooked were wonderful (panella, tortellini, meatballs, and panacotta). Well worth the money spent - and we got to make some friends cooking with others and eating the delicious meal we cooked!
My family and I booked this tour for our visit in Florence and it was the highlight of our trip! Luca was fabulous at teaching us and showing us how to make everything. Dinner was fabulous and it was an amazing experience!
An absolutely fabulous experience for my grandkids! Giacomo was just perfect as their chef/teacher, and they came away so excited about their time with you all. A “Top Recommendation”!!
Booked with family friends, 12 people ages 5-79. All had a great time. 4 courses. Delicious. Kids tried things they wouldn’t normally try. A must.
Giacomo is fantastic! Such an excellent sense of humour and easy way about him! We thoroughly enjoyed every second and would absolutely recommend it to everyone who wants to have fun and learn something!
This experience was excellent and I recommend for anyone! The staff was fun, friendly and accommodating. Everyone participated and the food was yummy!! It moved along very well time wise and was well worth the price!
The experience was the highlight of our trip! The venue brought a home style vibe, the staff was like family, and the food was delicious! As a multi-generational family, the cooking experience was exceptional for all of us. Anna was an amazing chef and teacher. We will book another experience when we visit again!
Five start cooking experience. The instructions and hands on demonstration was excellent.
It was amazing very fun, interesting and hands on. Very friendly teachers and the food was delicious.
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Florence! We learned how to make traditional Tuscan panzanella along with two different types of fresh pasta, all from scratch. The class was hands-on, informative, and a lot of fun. Our instructor did an excellent job explaining each step and sharing the history and traditions behind the dishes. The small group setting made it easy to ask questions and get involved throughout the experience. Everything was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Sitting down to enjoy the meal we had prepared ourselves, paired with great conversation and a beautiful Florentine setting, made for a truly memorable experience. If you're visiting Florence and want an authentic taste of Tuscan cuisine, this class is a must-do.
We had the best experience! So much fun, delicious food, and learned new skills. We can’t wait to come back!
Excellent Cooking Lesson for Gluten Free Italian pasta, meat balls, focaccia bread and more!

So fun, engaging, and insightful. We learned a lot AND laughed a ton! Giacomo was incredible!
Great experience! The host was very personable and guided us through the process. "Just a pinch!"
Great experience, great tour, great food
We thoroughly enjoyed the Mama Florence cooking class during our recent trip to Florence, Italy. This class is definitely "hands-on" and participant oriented. Our chef was very informative on the how-and-why techniques used in the preparation of our delicious meal. Everything was explained and we came away with the confidence that we could simply prepare the same dishes at home. Our meal consisted of bruschetta, ricotta filed Tortelli with Butter and Sage Dressing using pasta each participant scratch made & filled, Chicken Cacciatora (Hunter-Style) with Mashed Potatoes, and Panna Cotta with red berries sauce. This meal was complimented with a Prosecco to prep the palate, as well as both Red and White wine. We enjoyed a fulfilling meal served at a family sized table with all participants. We would highly recommend this experience for die-hard foodies, those curious about simple and delicious Italian cooking techniques, and even beginners who just need to get some hands-on time with basic cooking fundamentals. The Mama Florence team will make everyone feel welcome in their kitchen, which by the way, is a kitchen that exudes the love of Italian food.
Chef Luca and his wonderful assistant Yenna made this family event a forever memory. We had 9 of us including our 3 grandsons (12 & 13) and each of us were taught to make tortellini w/spinach and linguine with meat sauce from scratch. The chef patiently explained everything (maybe 3 times?) and we had a blast chopping, dicing, kneading the dough and so much more. The coup de grace was our dinner! Great photos. We rate this top of the charts!!!
Chef was caring and patient with questions. Spoke English and gave advise. His kitchen was very professional and clean.
