Excellent people. Great location and facility. Reasonable price and far better results than we expected.

From the moment you enter the classroom, you are welcomed by the staff to a small room, small enough to have a private space but large enough for your creativity to roam free. You are guided step by step through the process and any questions that you have are welcomed and answered by knowledgeable instructors. The process of creating your piece of art is calming and a way to slow down and just appreciate your abilities. When you take your break between the class, you are rewarded with a satisfying pastry. I recommend that you take this class because it is a way to slow down, enjoy art, and be educated on the type of art you work on. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Very professional and inspiring drawing sessions! The 6 hours over two days were perfectly paced — our 11-year-old loved it. The instructor was patient, kind, and truly encouraging. Now they’ll continue online, and the real miracle is that they met through art!

I had a private drawing workshop with Octavio in the cute Geko studio. It was a fun experience and I learned a lot. I hope to come back another time.

Geko art studios was excellent at providing me all the information in advance to be prepared for my class. The day of the class they even provided me with transit instructions. Katherina provided patient, clear instructions to help me maintain confidence in a new creative process. It was a lot of fun and I will come again when I return to Florence!

Me and my family had a wonderful time learning the techniques from Leonardo da Vinci. The place was very inspirtional with many sculptures and paintings. My children and I were able to draw a nice portrait and my wife was able to improve her drawing skills!! Will defo recommend this workshop to anyone!

Geko art studio is amazing. Solo classes give you the best learning experience. In the a couple of hours, I learned and practiced so much.

I signed my daughter up for this class. She’s a pretty good abstract painter, but she wants to learn realism. She enjoyed this class.

Rosanna and Octavio were fantastic! Rosanna reached out shortly after I booked to confirm a time, making the process seamless. When I arrived, they welcomed me warmly—Rosanna checked me in, and Octavio led the lesson. He let me choose my piece, and naturally, I picked the more intricate and beautiful option. Despite the challenge, he encouraged me every step of the way and was incredibly patient. Before I knew it, I walked out feeling like I had channeled Leonardo da Vinci himself—haha! As a complete beginner, I never expected to leave with a piece I’m genuinely proud of. It was such a rewarding experience that left me feeling inspired to explore more art. I highly recommend Geko Art Studio and can’t wait to return for their painting and sculpting classes!

We had a wonderful time at the Geko Art Studio and not only learned so much about the technique used by masters like Leonardo but are inspired to try more drawing in the future.

My daughter gave her aged father a lesson of painting with palette knives. It was a thoroughly enjoyable 3 hours with a talented young artist in a small but charming studio owned by a very competent sculptor. Having not painted for 60 years it was a challenge - Square oranges! However after a delicious coffee and pastry with the owner, I was allowed to use brushes. Very good fun.

I had a great day today learning to draw at the Geko studio, we had a private lesson which allowed the instructor to really help me. Very patient and helpful I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys art or just trying something new.

This is such a unique experience. A private art workshop in a working art studio. I am a complete novice, and the artist was kind and generous with his advice and support. And I have a true talking point souvenir to take home. Thank you for taking me into your home and your studio for the morning

My 19-year-old son is an art student in NYC and really wanted to take a couple lessons locally while visiting Florence. We were lucky enough to find Octavio and Geko Studio to make this happen. He spent two 3-hour sessions with Octavio and another instructor (Diana) learning and drawing under their guidance. He loved the hours spent there and learning new ways of thinking about traditional anatomy-focused drawing. The studio is about a half-hour walk on the other side of the river in a quieter neighborhood which we all appreciated. He’s hoping to one day return to take a formal structured course. This experience was absolutely the highlight of his trip and made Florence a very special place for us all.

I had a very good time at the Geko Art Studio. They were very accommodating, friendly and informative. It was the best interactive activity I did in Florence!
