Excellent experience with Grape Tours - timely collection, nice waiting point, clean and comfortable car, informative and fun guide, two beautiful wineries with lots of info and amazing food (and great cats). Thanks Grape Tours!

We had an amazing adventure with our guide Alessandra. She was very informative and interactive. And the generous pouring at our stops were delicious. We ordered some to shop home!
I’ve been to many wine tasting tours in Italy and this was my absolute favorite. Our guide, Quentin, was amazing. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. We started in the beautiful medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, then went to two amazing wineries and had lunch in between. Everything was exceptional. I highly recommend this tour and would absolutely do it again.
We had the most amazing experience. Alessandra skilfully drove and guided us through the Tuscan hills, where we tasted delicious wines and olive oil at Fattoria Poggio Capponi. Then, on to Poggio dell'Anselmo for lunch and some more wine, where we learned all about the region and the wine-making process. My expectations were very high and Grape Tours still managed to exceed them. Can't wait to come back to Florence to see you guys again! Bravissima, Alessandra, grazie mille!
We had a wonderful experience with Grape Tours in Florence! Transportation was easy and convenient, making the day relaxed and enjoyable from the start. Our guide, Ben, was fantastic and helped make the tour a highlight of our trip. The tour itself was great, and everyone in our group had such a fun time. We highly recommend Grape Tours—and Ben—to anyone visiting Florence!
We booked a private wine tour with Rebecca, owner of Grapevine Tours, and from start to finish the entire experience was world-class. Rebecca took us to two incredible wineries in the Tuscan hills, followed by an amazing farm-to-table lunch. One of the wineries was a small, private family winery that you won't find on a website or see sitting on a shelf back home. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Because we were there during harvest, we got to see the entire winemaking process up close — from picking grapes, to watching them come across the sorting table, to touring the cellars and understanding how the wine is made from start to finish. We then had private, one-on-one tastings with the winemakers themselves. The wines were absolutely spectacular — refined, fresh and unlike anything we'd experienced before. But what really made the day special was Rebecca. She shared great stories about Tuscany, wine, and how she got into the business, and she went well beyond the scheduled tour. Along the way, she made additional stops to show us monasteries, incredible views of Florence and some of the most beautiful scenery in the Tuscan hills. The private, air-conditioned transportation was fantastic, the wineries were exceptional, the lunch was incredible, and Rebecca made the entire day feel personal rather than like a typical wine tour. My wife and I are in Florence celebrating our 30th anniversary, and this has easily been the highlight of our week. If you're looking for a truly special and authentic wine experience in Tuscany, I highly recommend Rebecca and Grapevine Tours. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Our wine tour was amazing start to finish. Our guide, Rebecca was so knowledgeable and the sweetest. Both wineries were 5 star stops. Lunch was out of this world. Definitely will be recommending this tour to all our friends.
Wine time was the highlight of our honeymoon in Tuscany. Rebecca was a great guide, very knowledgeable on all things wine and also a very personable. The 2 small wineries were beautiful, the wine pours were generous and the food at the 2nd was one of our best meals all trip. The small group size was great to keep the tour personal. Back in the city by 3:30 so still lots of day left to experience the beautiful city of Florence as well
I can’t put into words how amazing our time with Alessio was. We were on a girls trip with 8 girls and booked two wine tours with Grape tours and were delighted to find out that Alessio was our guide for both days. I can’t emphasize enough how knowledgeable Alessio was about Tuscan wine and the region. We had an AMAZING time and learned so much. He was so kind, funny, and welcoming and didn’t balk at any question we had. New York City needs an Alessio and we would happily take any one of his tours in the future. Love, the wonderful 8 ❤️
We toured with Clemente and he was a fantastic guide. We were on our honeymoon and were along with another couple, and a family of 4. This small intimate group with Clemente leading the way made for a very enjoyable experience where we had a great time with everyone involved. The places we went to were very different, but equally enjoyable. The wine and food were of course the highlight! Clemente made sure to give us time to take pictures, give us any extra tidbits as he is very knowledgeable himself, and even brought us to the famous Piazza de Michelangelo viewing point at the end of our half day together. Would highly recommend and hopefully will come back another time!
We highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a 5-hour excursion rich in history and breathtaking views the entire time. The local Italian cuisine for lunch paired with the wines was a highlight! Our tour guide Alberto made the travel smooth and filled with information.
Dee was amazing! He knew his wines and gave wonderful tips on food pairings. Great group of travelers we spent the day with in beautiful Tuscany.
We had a fantastic experience with Grape Tours for our Tuscan wine tour. We did the Wine Time tour, which lasted about 5.5 hours and took us to two different wineries. Both were lovely properties with excellent wine, with the proprietors giving tours and walking us through the tasting. Lunch was served at the second winery and was delicious, Tuscan focused food in an absolutely beautiful setting. As seems to be the case across Tuscany, the sample pours from the wineries are pretty much full glasses - no skimping here! The real highlight of this tour though was our guide, Dáire. He was just wonderful - so kind and enthusiastic and most of all, extremely knowledgeable about wine production and the Italian wine industry. We learned a lot on this tour thanks to him, despite having been to many wineries before. He was keen to ensure all 7 of us were having a great time, and ensured pictures were taken which were later shared with us. If you're looking for a wine tour out of Florence, look no further - Grape Tours is your answer. And hopefully you get D as your guide!
One of the best guided tours we have ever been on, regardless of the type of tour. From the moment we were greeted until the moment we were dropped off, we felt welcomed, cared for, and fully immersed in the culture, history, and traditions of Tuscany and Italian winemaking. A special shoutout to Luca. If you have the opportunity to choose your guide, make sure it is him. He is highly respected within the wine industry, well known by the vineyard owners, and brings an incredible combination of knowledge, energy, humor, and professionalism. He was never dull, always inclusive, and truly a man of many talents. What made this tour so special was Luca’s ability to bring people together. We started the day as strangers and ended it hugging each other goodbye. Throughout the entire experience, he took the time to build rapport with everyone, educate us on the winemaking process, explain the history of the region, and teach us how to properly taste and appreciate wine. We left with a much deeper understanding of not only how wine is made, but also the passion, care, and dedication that goes into every bottle. The vineyards we visited were absolutely beautiful, and the owners and staff were just as welcoming and attentive as Luca. They genuinely seemed grateful that we were there, and you could feel the pride, love, and appreciation they have for both their craft and the Tuscan countryside. Lunch was delicious and clearly prepared with care. Every part of the meal reflected the effort, time, and attention that went into creating it, and it was the perfect complement to the wines we enjoyed throughout the day. Transportation was excellent as well. The van was spacious, comfortable, air conditioned, and allowed everyone to easily hear Luca throughout the drive. As someone who gets car sick, I was pleasantly surprised that I had no issues at all, even on the winding roads through the hills. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence, whether you are looking to explore the Tuscan countryside, learn about wine, or simply enjoy an unforgettable day outside the city. We cannot thank Luca, the Grape Tours team, and the vineyard owners and staff enough for welcoming us into their homes and businesses with such open arms. We enjoyed the experience so much that we purchased 12 bottles of wine, six from each vineyard, as well as olive oil to be shipped home. Not only are we excited to enjoy them when we return, but it also felt great supporting local businesses and the people who make Tuscany such a special place. Thank you again to Luca, the entire Grape Tours team, and the vineyard owners and staff for an incredible experience. We arrived as visitors and left feeling like friends.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Grape Tours! I booked this tour as a solo traveler, and from the very first moment, I felt so well taken care of and genuinely included in the group. The day was filled with amazing wine, delicious food, and great company. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine, making the whole experience both educational and highly enjoyable. If you are thinking about booking this tour, just do it. Whether you are traveling with someone or completely on your own. Highly recommended!
Amazing wine tour with Daire! We appreciated Daire’s expertise with the Tuscan wine region. He was kind and informative! Just a beautiful and enjoyable day filled with wine and a delicious lunch! Thank you Daire! We can’t wait to return!
Our guide/sommelier, Alessio, was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and fun! This was a highlight of my 10 days in Italy, and I would recommend it for anyone who loves wine or just wants to experience Tuscany! Such a memorable, wonderful experience!
We spent a day during our Florence vacation on a fabulous tour with Rebecca. We visited two, family owned, vineyards and had outstanding experiences at both. We tasted several varieties of wine and on our second stop we had an outstanding, farm to table lunch. Rebecca was personable and knowledgable and made the day a special one. Our family highly recommends this experience.
Luca was an incredible tour guide and very informative. We enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend to anyone looking to explore the Tuscan countryside and wineries!
We had a great time on our Wine Time Grape Tour! Daniel was an incredible guide - funny, and knowledgeable. The small group was the perfect size. Both wineries were beautiful and the wine was delicious. Highly recommend and can’t wait to try another tour.
Everything exceeded our expectations. The wineries were amazing!! The wine, olive oil, the food, our hosts, our driver were fantastic.
From start to finish this was an amazing experience. Easy to locate meeting point, clean and spacious air conditioned van, great guide in Ben and a fantastic overall experience. Both locations on this tour were extremely scenic and had delicious wine. The food at the second winery was plentiful and tasty. The tour guide hands you off to a local employee or owner of the winery but also accompanies you and answers questions if you have any. 10/10 great way to spend a day in Tuscany.
Our Grape Tours private 8 hour tour was the highlight of our entire trip! Alessio was the most knowledgeable and personable sommelier who provided us with a wealth of information as he drove us to the Chianti Classico region. We loved spending time with him. The two wineries we visited were small, everything done by hand, and organic. What a treat! Our farm to table wine tasting lunch was top notch! We were a group of 6: my husband, me, our 3 adult children, and 1 significant other. There were no other small groups of visitors at the wineries; just us! Magnificent. We would absolutely go on another tour with Grape Tours!!
We went on the Family Wine trip which included 2 family friendly wineries, snacks at one and a gourmet lunch at the other. We also stopped in two villages. Rebecca, the owner, was our tour guide. This day trip is a must do if you have small children! We traveled with a 1, 3, 4, and 6 year old. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! From the comfortable van, car seats and booster seats included, to the animals and playground, and space for the kids to move around - everything was planned out for us! Rebecca even brought her own professional camera and took photos of our day (for our own personal use)! Not only was Rebecca knowledgeable about the region and wines, she was also an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. It felt like she was part of the family. My one concern was that we would sacrifice delicious wine and food for a family friendly atmosphere but that was not the case! We loved the wine and the lunch was one of the best meals of our trip! Couldn’t recommend Rebecca and her team enough!
From start to finish this tour was amazing for both me and my fiancé. Our guide Quinton was brilliant he never stopped making the tour special, he constantly kept conversation going throughout the day and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The hosts at the wineries were also welcoming and friendly. They also catered to my allergy without any issues. Overall we had a fabulous day and would recommend this company and tour to any of our friends and families.
I took this tour with my husband and my daughter and all three of us thought it was fabulous. Our tour guide, Daniel, was also a somelier and was able to answer any questions we had about wine. We loved our tour and tasting and both wineries and thought the experience was incredible. We loved the small group nature of the tour and the individual attention that we received. Lunch was delicious
Went on the Wine Time Tour on 18th March….what a brilliant day! The company are great, well informative & arranged a brilliant tour encompassing two wineries, great tasting options and a magnificent rustic Tuscan lunch. Alessio was our guide for the tour….thanks very much for a fantastic day on the tour We absolutely loved it. Great to have all his knowledge, humour and input, it was exceptional. The choice of wineries, and contrast between them was fab. Both so different in many ways. The first with all the history, the second with all the innovation and passion. Thanks so much, you really made our day! Again, great company who put so much passion into their tours. We’d thoroughly recommend!!
My husband and I took this tour with his sister and her husband, and the four of us had an absolutely AMAZING time! From start to finish, this was one of the highlights of our trip. Matteo was our guide, and we truly could not have asked for a better person to introduce us to the beautiful Chianti region. He was incredibly friendly, so knowledgeable, and taught us so much throughout the day — but beyond that, he was just SO much fun to spend the day with! The wine was absolutely fantastic, the lunch was delicious, and every part of the day was perfectly organized and seamless. We especially loved that this was such a “boutique” experience — visiting small, family-owned vineyards made it feel so authentic, personal, and special. This day was truly unforgettable, and I cannot recommend this company enough to anyone looking for a unique, intimate, and memorable experience in Tuscany. If you’re considering booking this tour, DO IT — you will not regret it!
One of the best days yet in Italy. This was a last minute discussion and we are so happy we joined this group!! Alessio our guide was so informative and taught us so much about wine and Tuscany - 5 stars no doubt for his knowledge shared. And he had a great way of delivering the information to our group. The vineyards were so different from one another and we thought it was genius!! From an aged dark wine cellar to today’s modern ways - again nicely done. The Tuscan farm to table lunch was like a familiar banquet of homemade goodness….filled with laughs and many sips shared. What a wonderful and delicious day we were so lucky to have experienced!
Awesome experience at both wineries! The food we had at the 2nd winery was outstanding! Rebecca was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun to spend the afternoon with!
From start to finish - this was a fantastic tour. The booking process was straightforward, was easy to get to the starting point in Florence and then everything from there was great. Our guide - Matteo - was nothing short of amazing. He was knowledgeable, passionate, and very entertaining. We had a group of 6 ranging from 30’s to 80’s plus an infant, and he kept everything moving while giving everyone a personal touch The wineries chosen were all great, family run organic producers and the lunch was excellent. I would recommend this to any wine lovers! Just make sure to take motion sickness pills before the drive..
I greatly enjoyed the entire day. Alessio told us so many interesting things about wine in general and Chianti and Tuscan wine in particular. Both wineries were so welcoming. The wines we tasted were given a brief history before each glass. The luncheon at the second winery was delicious. I ordered wine for shipping home from both places. I heartily recommend this tour. Next time. I would do their tour of an additional three wineries.
Guide was informative, vineyards delicious and beautiful. Both wine & olive oil outstanding! Drive is beautiful, great way to spend a half or full day!
We spent a fabulous day in the Tuscan countryside with our guide, Alessio. His professional knowledge with regard to all areas of wine from production to styles and varietals is second to none. On top of it all, Alessio is warm and welcoming and we made a new friend that day.
Our day with Grape Tours in Tuscany was truly unforgettable and one of the highlights of our time in Italy. We visited three incredible vineyards, each offering a unique perspective on winemaking and the stunning Tuscan landscape. The wine tastings were exceptional, and the lunch, paired perfectly with local wines, was simply spectacular. Every bite and every sip at the restaurant came with breathtaking views that made the experience even more memorable. Our guide, Alessio (Alex), was outstanding. As a sommelier, his depth of knowledge about wine, winemaking, and the region was remarkable. He shared his expertise with such passion and clarity that we learned so much throughout the day while thoroughly enjoying ourselves. From start to finish, the tour was perfectly organized, relaxed, and filled with authentic Tuscan charm. We can’t recommend Grape Tours and Alessio highly enough to anyone looking for an exceptional wine experience in Tuscany.
Our guide was Alessio and extremely knowledgeable about the region and provided great information on the area we visited. I really like the small group setting which made it more personal. I highly recommend.
Went on the Super Chianti Tour. It was great. We went to 2 wineries and a terrific lunch in between at Dario Cecchini’s (famous butcher) restaurant. But the highlight of the tour was our terrific guide Clement. He was extremely engaging, entertaining, and highly knowledgeable about all facets of the wine making process. I definitely recommend this tour especially if you can get Clement as your guide.
We absolutely loved our tour with Alessio on the Brunello di Montalcino wine tour of 2 wineries and lunch! Having a true sommelier and a local from Florence felt both personal and educational. The tour started with Giacamo at his historic family winery, who spent his very precious time with us, giving us the best education on organic farming blended with the use of technology and sharing fabulous wine pairings with different wines with different meats, cheeses & chocolates. Lunch at Capanna Winery Resort in Montalcino was fabulous with traditional Tuscan cuisine overlooking the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia, then a 20-minute stop in the town of Montalcino, finally ending with a tour and wine tasting at the Castle Winery Castello Tricerchi. Wow - this full-day tour, no matter where it takes you with Grape Tours, is well worth the experience and time.
I highly recommend Grape Tours if you are looking for a fun wine tour experience from Florence! Our guide, Daire, was fantastic - very knowledgeable and fun - and the vineyards we visited were beautiful with wonderful wines and olive oils to taste. Our lunch at the second vineyard was absolutely delicious and the owner of that vineyard was fun and full of personality and stories! The owners of Grape Tours were also very kind and accommodating in allowing for a last minute cancelation and credit for a friend who wasn't able to attend.
Let me start by prefacing that the wine tour was something I wanted to do. My husband is not a big wine drinker, but he was excited for the tour since it was something I was interested in doing. This is also why I opted for the 1/2 day tour which included lunch. The group size is kept nice and small (8 people), which we prefer. We met at our meeting point and headed out a few minutes early since we had everyone in our group. Our tour guide, Ben, met us at the meeting point with the van that we would be taking for the tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind! He provided us with background on the region we were visiting and on Florence. There were a lot of things I learned that I did not know. The first winery we visited was family owned, which we loved. We got a tour of the winery and sat down for our tasting which included some fresh bread and olive oil. Everything we tasted and more was available to ship. They even included a sheet with the cost of the wine with shipping costs included. They certainly treated us like family! The last winery we visited was a short drive away and was a sustainable/organic winery. We got a short tour with the winemaker/owner and even got to try wine that he didn't release yet! After the tour we were guided to a separate room where we sat down for lunch and our tasting. He let us try more wines than expected! Another winery that treated us like we were family. Lunch was outstanding and included appetizers, pasta and dessert. Needless to say, we bought wine and olive oil at both locations! the experience alone was incredible. My husband enjoyed every wine we tried! We saved the information so we could get more wine shipped later! We could not recommended Grape Tours enough. We are not big tour people and as I mentioned, my husband is not a big wine drinker. We would do this tour if not another tour with Grape Tours again - hands down. If you don't want to spend all day touring wineries then this is the perfect tour for you! Honestly, more than 2 wineries may be too much especially with how much wine we tried that was not expected! Big thanks to Grape Tours and Ben for an incredible experience tasting wines in Tuscany!
I had the absolute best Sunday “Wine Time” half day when visiting Florence early this month! I was on a solo trip and the tour to Montespertoli was exactly what I was looking for. We made two stops in Montespertoli, tasting wine and olive oil at beautiful historic wineries. Our guide, Ben, was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I ended up joining a family of seven and we had the best time together! I especially appreciated having gluten-free bread at the first stop and gluten-free lunch at the second. Even a nasty thunderstorm didn’t ruin the fun. Grape Tours’ small group tours really are special and worth every penny! Five stars.
Worth every penny. What a lovely experience — wonderful history, breathtaking views, and excellent wine and cheese. Thank you!
What a wonderful day! We thoroughly enjoyed our winery tour. Our tour guide Clemente was very personable and entertaining. Oh and he sure can swirl a glass of wine! 🤣 Our first winery stop was a generational family winery and it was gorgeous. Luca's wine is delicious and Daniela was the perfect host! Our next stop was also wonderful. Lunch was spectacular! Plenty of wine and well worth it.
10/10 wine tour with Daria! This was our favorite tour out of our two weeks in Italy. We loved how knowledgeable Daria was regarding wines and the region of Chianti. It was very special to go to small wineries and producers to taste their wines. We loved the wine and cheese pairings. Lunch in between wineries was a really fun experience at Dorio’s! I have celiac disease therefore everything I eat has to be gluten free and everywhere was very accommodating for me. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence!
We loved our Grape Tour to Chianti and Chianti Classico regions of Tuscany. It was very informative and stunning! Cannot recommend enough!
Excellent tour. Highly recommended. Mateo was our tour guide. He is well knowledgeable on wines and entertainer. 🍷🍷🍷🍷
I don’t like to write reviews but after our time today I knew I HAD to. This was such a gem in our tour of Italy! I cannot stress that enough. I am typically someone who hates tours, feels like they’re extreeeemly overrated and typically for people who are uncultured. Whoops sorry I said it. But holy crap this was awesome. Shout out Matteo…he’s the only wine guide I’d ever want in Florence or anywhere for that matter. So knowledgeable and personable. A lot of his info went over my head but I learned so much! I have such a great appreciation for the wine making industry especially for people who are doing it right (using biodiverse techniques - a word I didn’t even know until today!) The wines we tried were incredible, I loved how we went to small wineries and actually met the wine makers…like so cool. Highlight was the lunch on a beautiful property called casa de nuova. It’s literally something out of a Tuscany dream. This was well worth the money, honestly they should charge more ;) Super fun yet informative. Truly an experience you’ll never forget. Thanks again guys. When I come back to Italy I cannot wait to bring my family on THIS wine tour!!
I just did my second tour with this company and would highly recommend them. My first was nearly 10 years ago, and I remember enjoying it then - was happy to book again and share the beauty of Tuscany and its Vineyards with the one I love. It almost feels like this company treats their guests like family - and it shows. Our guide, Daire, was so friendly and knowledgeable. He provided excellent commentary and history our entire drive. The lunch provided was a memorable, delicious experience we’ll always remember. Their price is a bit higher, but I promise, in my experiences at least, you will get excellent quality. I can’t wait to return to Florence and book with them again. Grazie!
Our guide was great. It was so fun to travel to the different wineries. The lunch was amazing!! Such a fun experience trying all different types of meats in a beautiful restaurant. Our guide, Clemente, was so passionate about wine and really helped us "experience" the wine, not just tasting it. There was quite a bit of driving in a small-er van so space was tight and the roads were windy. But it waas definitely worth it.
highly recommend! Ben was our tour guide, he was fantastic and knowledgeable on the intricacies of the Chianti region. This was great preparation for the winery tours. The wines were excellent and the lunch was delicious. Cheers Ben
